This is the next chapter in the Anthro Century Series.

Travish's past starts to unfold as he stays with the anthros.

I hope you all enjoy, I would love to hear what you're thinking of this story and the series as a whole so far. ^^

Allen yawned as he walked into the group's shared room; he was the last of the group to turn in for the night. He sleepily slapped his lips together as he hopped through the door; something had put him in an odd hopping mood. As he passed by his fellow college students he heard a mixture of different snores, from the normal human's snorting like sound to animalistic barks, meows, and yips. Allen smiled as he collapsed onto his bed, "Ah... wonderful..."

As the college student laid there he noticed something odd, the bed next to him was empty even though it was nearly midnight. Allen begrudgingly picked himself off of his bed and drew next to the bed, "Did Jacob go to the bathroom?..." As he looked at the bed he noticed hairs in the sheets, Allen's eyebrows drew together in confusion as he leaned over and picked up a few of the hairs. None of the animals had this color of fur, more over why was the hair in Jacob's bed?

Allen started to turn towards the other college students but as he was turning a blue form flashed in front of him and his eyes rolled back as he was hit upon the head, by the time he hit the floor he was unconscious.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kiris grunted as he hefted the human up on his bed and pulled the sheets over his form, "Damn... this guy is really heavy..." The husky muttered, as he glanced over Allen's body he noted that the student's feet had grown. He turned and sighed as he walked over to Jacob's bed, "What I do to contain this shit..."
Kiris pulled the sheets off of the bed and folded up them up into a bundle, he then walked over to a laundry chute and threw them in. "Well, those should be clean in the morning." Kiris spoke quietly before turning to the fresh sheets and put them onto Jacob's bed and set it up as it had been.
He heard a pained moan from Allen, "Aw... shut up Allen, it's just a bump." Kiris muttered in irritation as he jumped onto his own bed, "God the things I do..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Allen rubbed his head as he woke up, "Oh fuck... my head hurts..." He blinked a few times as the light hit him, "Oh man... what happened?" His eyes snapped open as he remembered the orange fur; he jumped out of bed and ran to his friend's bed but was surprised to find that the bed was completely normal with no orange hair. "Where did the fur go?..."

As Allen pondered what happened he scratched his head and was surprised to find a bump there, "What the fuck hit me?" Allen grew confused, "On second thought, why did I fall asleep?..." Allen blinked as he heard snoring fill the air, he turned around to find Shiloh snoring on the floor. "Good grief, you can sleep anywhere can't you Shiloh?..."

The fox awoke after being smacked a few times by Allen, "Huh?... Is it my turn to Dj mom?..." Shiloh glanced around and jumped up as he realized where he was, "Oh! It's breakfast time!" Before Allen could say anything his friend had rushed out of the room, he scratched his head for a moment thinking about the bed but shrugged and walked into the hall following behind the running Fox.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Travish sat in the bathroom running cold water out of the tap, something was wrong with him and he could feel it. "Damn it... what's wrong with me?..." He muttered to himself, when he had woken up it had felt like live ants had been running under his skin. He had spent twenty minutes scratching at his skin until the others had started to wake up and he had rushed into the bathroom, he splashed some water on his face. "Maybe I have a bug?..."
As he stared into the mirror the water dripped off of his brown hair, but as it dripped for a moment he thought that he saw the face of a jaguar in the mirror for a second. Travish gasped and rubbed his eyes but as he looked into the mirror once more all he could see was himself, "Damn it... all of these anthros are putting me on edge..." As he turned off the tap he scratched his arm, "I'd best get back to those losers..."
He grabbed a towel from the rack and started out of the bathroom wiping his face, but as he walked into the bathroom his face suddenly drained of all color. His eyes glazed over and he passed out on the spot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Shiloh sprinted down the hall with a hungry grin on his face, "Food!" But as he ran he found himself tripping over something and flew forward, "Shit! Not again!" The sound of crashing into a wall once more sounded throughout the building, as the fox pulled himself up he moaned in pain. "Ah come on, there wasn't even water this time!"

As the fox stood up he gasped as he saw Travish's body lying on the floor, "What the?! Hey you, what's wrong?!" He fell upon his knees and shook the human, "Hey wake up!" When he realized that Travish wasn't waking up he started to panic, "H... help! Please someone help!"

The sound of running filled the hall as all of the college students and some adults ran in, "What's happening here?!" A Labrador man asked.

Shiloh shrugged and looked at Travish in desperation, "I... I dunno, I just found him here like this. I kinda assumed that he was laying here as a gag or something but he won't wake up!"

A male anthro pushed through the crowd, "Clear the way now!" He asked for Shiloh to move away as he kneeled by Travish, he set the metal bit of a stethoscope upon the human's chest and closed his eyes. After a moment he opened up his eyes and looked at some other men dressed in nurses garb, "Take him to the hospital wing right now, something's wrong with him."

The men picked up Travish quickly and set him upon a gurney and wheeled him away, the rest of the college students were panicking. "W... what's wrong with Travish?!" Will asked his tail looking rather bushy from panic, all of the other students started to speak in tandem and confusion.

The doctor held his hands up in an attempt to calm the college students, after a few minutes they all finally quieted down to listen to him. "Alright, your friend will be fine. He has had an unexpected allergic reaction to the shot that you've all been given, give him time and he'll be better before you all have to leave. Now please give us time to make him better, alright?"

After a tense silence they all nodded, the dog smiled and walked away. The other adults left the hall leaving the students in their spots, after a moment of silence Cody spoke up. "So... should we all just go back to eating?" Nobody seemed to be in the mood to eat so they all went outside, all except for Shiloh who grabbed something to eat on the way out.

They looked at him as he took a large bite out of toast, "Hey, it's called fast food for a reason." Everybody moaned as they walked onto the beach and sat down, the group was silent as they watched the sun rise. Their faces were illuminated by the sun rising, the anthros' fur seemed to glow in the sunlight while the humans' skin grew pale.

Kristen laid her head on Artie's shoulder, "We'll have to leave this place sooner or later everyone..."

They all grew somber, even in the short amount of time that they had known one another they had become friends. Ethan stood up and looked at the water for a moment before smiling at them all, "Why is everyone so depressed? If we spend the whole time being down it'll be a pity party, I want to have fun with you all before I leave." Everyone smiled at that and nodded, as Snow stood up she had an idea and a devilish smile appeared on her face.

Shiloh who was still shoving his mouth full of food gasped in surprise as the girl playfully grabbed his headphones from his neck, she looked at Nicholas. "Hey Nick, catch!" Nicholas grinned as the girl threw the headphones to him, Shiloh jumped in surprise dropping his food.

"He... hey! Give me back my headphones, I spent a fortune on those!" Everybody started to laugh as they threw the headphones over the fox's head, at first he was adamant but as they threw it he started to laugh with them. After ten minutes of playing keep away they finally returned the headphones to Shiloh who plopped to the ground panting, "Good grief, I must've burned off of all that delicious food..."

Snow smiled at him, "Well now that you've burned it off you can eat more, right?" A shocked look appeared on Shiloh's face before he grinned.

As Snow laid on the ground she smiled at the sun, "I don't know why, but the sun here seems so much brighter..." All of her friends agreed, as they laid there each of the humans gave an involuntary shudder as the liquid in their veins started to multiply.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Please dad, please stop it!" Travish was on his knees as he watched his father punch his older brother, "Dad, you're going to kill him!"
His father's face was cold as he mercilessly beat his son, "Don't! You! Dare! Say that again!" With the last sentence he punched his son and let him drop to the floor, six year old Travish stumbled over to his brother's prone form.
Carth pushed himself off of the ground slowly wiping away blood from his mouth; his face was expressionless as he stood. He nearly fell back to the ground, as he stood in front of his father he said nothing for a moment before looking at his younger brother and shining a smile. "Hey Trav, don't you worry about me. I'm finally leaving from this hell hole, I just wanted to tell dad the truth."
Tears ran down Travish's cheeks, "W... will I see you again?..."
Carth kneeled next to his younger brother and wiped off his tears, "Don't you worry, I'm sure we'll see each other one day. Just don't ever be scared to call me if you need me." He slipped a cellphone into his younger brother's hand before looking at his father coldly, "Fuck you dad, I'm allowed to be whatever I want. Regardless of your fucking religion."
Their father pointed to the door barely restricting himself, "Get the fuck out of this house you... you..." As Carth walked out the door tears flowed out of his eyes as his father's last spiteful word followed him, "fag!"
As the door was shut there was silence throughout the house as Travish's father quietly shivered in rage, Travish was quiet as he looked at his father fearfully. After a moment his father suddenly started stomping upstairs, Travish gasped as he heard the bell hanging on his door jingle as his father ripped open his door. "Wait dad, what are you doing?!"
The kid ran upstairs to find his father ripping out his clothes searching for something; Travish was shocked as his father ripped out a notebook from his dresser and looked through it. His father then walked up to him and smacked him into a wall; as Travish tried to stand up his father pushed a piece of paper ripped from the book in front of him. It was a picture of a wolfman and a human holding hands, "Don't you dare fucking think about being friends with those disgusting anthro creatures again, do you hear me?!"
Travish's eyes filled with tears, "H... how did you know daddy?"
His father picked him up by his collar, "You don't think I saw you slipping that notebook into your dresser? I saw you but decided that you would grow out of this stupid ass phase but with your brother being a fucking faggot I'm not going to take that risk anymore, I'm going to be taking you to church every day from now on! I will raise you to be a good boy unlike your fucked up brother!"
Travish cried out as his father went around his room and started grabbing anything anthro related and started to shove them in his backpack which he had emptied out, after getting everything he grabbed Travish by the arm and pulled him into the garage. The child had to watch as his father threw the bag on the floor and poured gasoline on top of it all, "This is what should happen to all of those fucking disgusting anthros!"
Travish cried out as his father threw a match upon the wet bag and all of his anthro toys and pictures burn up in the fire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Travish gasped as he awoke, his brow was soaked in sweat as he looked around the pristine white environment that he was in. "Where am I?..."

As he looked around he noted the mirror on the wall, he looked down and grunted in annoyance as he noticed that his clothes had been switched out for a hospital gown. "What the fuck is happening?..." As he stood up he gasped in pain as he noticed an iv in his arm, "Shit... what are those fucked up anthros doing to me?!"

Travish winced as he yanked the iv out, as he stood up he nearly collapsed. He grabbed the table he had been lying on and stayed there for a moment before standing up; as he walked he wobbled before reaching the mirror. He thumped on it, "Hey, I know this is a double sided mirror! Let me out right now!"

As nothing happened he sighed and slid to the floor against the mirror, "Damn it... what the fuck are you doing to me?" As he sat there he closed his eyes and finally let himself remember what he was dreaming about, "Carth..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jacob played with his new tail, "You know a guy could get used to this..." The fox glanced around the room, he had gone to sleep for a while earlier and had just recently woken up. He looked at his hand with its new paw pads and touched them with his other hand but accidentally poked himself with his new claws, "Damn it... I guess my new body has a lot to get used to..."
As he looked around the room he noticed the shredded up pillow on the floor, the previous night he had gotten extremely angry at the voice. Jacob had taken his anger out on the pillow, he had spent nearly an hour screaming at the roof and ripping up the sparse amount of things around the room up before falling asleep.
Now that he was awake he had finally decided to look at his body much closer, everything about Jacob's body was a fox through and through. He had taken a few laps around his temporary abode and had found that he had better endurance than he had as a human, though he had started to pant after the exertion.
Jacob had found that he could see far better as well as having increased smell, after ripping up the pillow he had nearly gagged at the smell of the feathers. He could tell that the feathers had been picked from a rather disgusting smelling bird; he could also see each individual part of the feather. Jacob sighed as he stood up and walked around the small enclosure, "Huh... I wonder what's taking so long..."
As he spoke he jumped as he suddenly heard a thumping noise, he looked at the glass wall. "Um... hello?" When nobody answered the fox drew close to the wall, "What was that?..."
Jacob inspected the glass wall, "That was really weird..." As he touched the glass he jumped as the wall started to slide up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Travish gasped in surprise as he fell back and hit his head on the floor, "Fuck! Ow, what the hell just happened?!" He blinked away the stars from his gaze and found himself looking at an anthro fox, "What... the... fuck?"

The fox was equally shocked, "Travish?!" The fox called out in confusion, Travish wrinkled his head in irritation.

"How do you know my name fox, and better yet why are you on this island? I didn't see you among the staff anthros." He slowly stood up and backed away from the fox though he was in pain from hitting his head on the floor, "And where did the glass wall go?!"

The fox hit himself in the head, "Oh, I'm such an idiot! I look completely different now..." Travish looked at the fox in confusion who pointed to himself, "Travish, don't you recognize my voice? It's me, Jacob."

Travish's eyes widened in horror, "J... Jacob?! Wha... what the fuck?!" As he tried to contemplate what was happening he gasped as he felt something burn in his veins all at once, "Owww!" He fell onto his hands and as he did a tail flew out from his hospital gown, he suddenly felt paws pressed against his back. "G... get the fuck off of me!"

Jacob stepped back as he watched the other student start to change, along Travish's back black fur started to grow. Jacob couldn't say anything as he watched the other man slowly stand up and lean against a wall, "T... Travish..."

Travish moaned as he felt his body changing, he felt as if he had been running in a marathon. His body's fat started to burn up as his legs and arms became muscular and lithe, along his chest black fur grew along with his stomach smoothing up as his fat burned up. Travish fell to his knees as he clapped his hands over his ears, "Ahhh!" His ears suddenly popped leaving him temporarily deaf until two near catlike ears grew from his head, his face started to reconstruct itself as his face formed into a muzzle.

Inside of Travish's veins the mutagen was working at an extremely fast rate, at each of his fingers claws slid out as paw pads grew upon his hands. Pain wracked his skull as his teeth fell out one by one so his new sharp teeth could grow in, silky black fur now coated his whole body. Suddenly Travish could smell Jacob from his position as his nose grew more sensitive, he started to pant as his transformation started to finish up.

Jacob held back to wait for the other man, as Travish finally turned he had his eyes tightly closed as if to deny what had happened to him. "T... Travish..."

Tears flowed from the corners of Travish's eyes as he stood there, "Please god... please let this be some horrible nightmare..." As he opened his eyes they slitted thin as a cat's would, he quietly looked at his body which shook with horror as he looked at what he had become. He then looked up at Jacob slowly and was quiet for a moment, "I... is there a mirror in here?..."

Jacob nodded and pointed to a mirror that he himself had looked in not too long ago, Travish painfully walked over to the mirror dreading seeing what he had become. His muscles were now visibly moving under his skin, as he approached the mirror his horrors were realized. In the mirror it showed a jaguar anthro just like the one he had seen that morning, "No!"

Travish screamed as he punched the mirror, Jacob's gasp was audible as the jaguar fell to his knees. "Goddammit..." He muttered as his knuckles bled, he was shocked to find himself being hugged by Jacob. "W... what are you doing?"

Jacob's voice came in soothingly, "Don't worry, it'll be alright. I promise you."

As Travish felt the arms around him the only time he could remember being held like this was by his brother, as he turned around to look at the fox he was shocked at how sincere Jacob's face looked. As he looked at the fox he started to feel an odd feeling building up in his chest but he couldn't quite place it, "W... why do you care about me?"

Jacob suddenly looked embaressed as he drew back, "I... I'm sorry..." He turned away and kicked his foot, "I... I guess you could say that I have... I have a crush on you..."

Travish's eyes widened as he realized what Jacob had said, "Y... you're gay?" Jacob nodded, the jaguar put his head in his hands. He finally realized what was happening, he could remember his father's lessons from childhood.

His father's voice leaked into his head, "The first rule is that you will never ever like an anthro, they're disgusting mongrel! The second rule is that you will never be a fag like your disgusting brother, they're just as bad as fucking anthros. But the third and most important rule is that under no circumstance, are you to ever fall in love with an anthro!"

Travish shook in horror, "Oh my god... I've broken all of my dad's rules..." Tears flowed from his eyes as he realized that he was everything that his dad had hated.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darren was led through a lab in the church, he had at first been very adamant on not allowing it but after a lot of pestering by his followers he had allowed it to get rid of the filthy anthros. "So what are you going to show me?" He asked the follower that was leading him.
"Father, I'm leading you to the ultimate weapons against the anthros. They won't even notice it until it's too late." The man was dressed in a lab coat but underneath he wore a strange cross, one that bore a furred person upon it with stakes through its eyes.
As they drew near a small workstation Darren became more and more interested, "So what does this chemical do?"
The professor smiled, "Why don't I forgo the explanation father, and show you myself?"
Darren was confused for a moment before nodding, the scientist and he drew up to a glass window. The preacher was shocked to see an anthro in the middle of the room, "Open the valves!" The scientist called out, Darren watched as the valves in the room opened but nothing happened.
"Hey nothings happenin... what the?..." He watched as the anthro started to cough violently, after a few seconds the anthro slumped in his restraints.
"What were you saying father?" The scientist asked with a sly grin on his face, at first Darren did nothing but look at the anthro before smiling at the scientist.
"Mass produce it; we're going to wipe the blights that are the anthros off of this earth. We shall being a holy crusade the likes that the world has never seen." The scientist grinned and ran off to start mass producing it, Darren looked at the anthro for a moment before smiling. "After this is done, my son will finally be saved from those disgusting monstrosities..."
