Another page, another chapter and another long morning of writing Kevin sighed and leaned back in his chair. His eyes scanned over his laptop screen, reading and re-reading the mess of words he just finished typing into his untitled novel. The thing about being a writer to Kevin was the frustration it left you with after knowing you weren't even close to being finished. Yet, there was still more he wanted detail. The characters, the plot, the romance and yes, even the intimacy of the whole ordeal. Everything had to be perfect, but still though it was just a draft, he'd doubt something this morbid would even make it onto the shelves of stores or even sold online.

But it didn't matter to him; this was a way for him to tell his fictional story.

Well, actually it was real, Kevin thought to himself, rubbing his eyes and knowing in his gut he was probably being crazy. It was seriously what he wanted to believe! But lying to himself wouldn't change the fact that fiction and reality were two different things.

"Kevin," Clarissa entered Kevin's small work room, the space actually resembled a walk in closet that was extremely comfortable for the Human, and not much could fit though. "I'm just going to run over to my place for a second to get ready, be back in a bit. Sky has the TV so he should be golden."

Kevin smiled and spun in his chair, meeting the eyes of the beautiful girl in front of him. "Kay, thank you."

"No worries, I checked the news though before switching to cartoons. There's been another murder in the city that apparently matches the previous ones. Kevin, I'm started to get a little scared."

Kevin saw her face and held out his hands, in which by her response she reached out to grab the warm embrace, "Nothing would ever stand between you unless I have something to say about it..." He smiled and kissed each finger, "I'll protect you with my life."

Clarissa smiled back with a blush and left, her face a cherry red of flushed emotions. Kevin followed her out to the door and pecked her cheek before retreating back to his work space. His novel was still a huge work in progress, and without anyone editing the whole thing Kevin had to spend extra time going through his mistakes. His chapters were fairly long, but most of them consisted on the characters ordeals, and although the novel seemed to be untitled he happily managed to sub title his chapters.

Despite the whole novel being a revelation of Kevin's past, he felt Dr. Ada was right about finding a way to release these pent up emotions he once had for someone else and illustrate them into what he was good at doing. Some names had been changed, like the protagonist, but some remained to be true. There was no harm in it; no one would understand it anyway.

Once Kevin finished reading his chapter, he felt confident enough to entitle it. But before he could hit the enter button on his laptop, there came a shrieking, glass shattering scream that sounded as if it came from across the hall. Kevin didn't understand how he reacted so fast, but when the second that scream ended; he found himself wrenching open his front door to his apartment and banging on Clarissa's door quickly.

"Clarissa!" He called, not even giving her a chance to open it as he barged in, seeing her standing alone in her living room and looking at the shattered mess on her kitchen floor, a small fresh pool of blood glistening on her counter top.

"Kevin!" She shuffled back towards him in fear, her fingers pointing to the open balcony door across the room, "Someone just... ran out through there. I...It was...it..." She shook in fear as Kevin grabbed her wrist and put himself in between the balcony door and the frightened girl.

"What, it was what?" He asked, trying to calm her by holding her shivering hand while keeping his guard toward the balcony door.

"It was... wearing a mask. He looked like a dog!"

Kevin's heart froze. Already his mind was jumping to conclusions but right now he had to push them aside, he had to protect his lover first. Kevin cautiously walked toward the balcony and stepped out into the open space, finding nothing but the cold winter chill brushing against his body and the occasional car horn down below.

How could someone just disappear? They lived on the 18th floor of the apartment building.

"Kevin..." Clarissa was by the door, still trying to stay close to the Human so she can be safe. "I'm scared. There's blood."

"Alright," Kevin sighed harshly, "Go back to Skylar and lock the door, I'll grab your things and bring them across to my place. You can stay with me a couple days till you feel safe."

Clarissa nodded and Kevin walked her to the door, watching her shuffle out and closing the door to Kevin's apartment behind her. Once Kevin was sure the apartment was safe, he made his way down to the other side of the apartment to where Clarissa's room was, finding his way to her dresser and opening her closet to find a pink suit case on the floor. Now, Kevin may have been married to a goddess once before but knowing what kind of female products he needed to grab was still a mystery.

What kind of girl products did Clarissa normally wear? He noticed a couple nice sets of clothing and shoved them into the suit case, and makeup to Kevin was just grab, stuff and go. Pretty simple and probably a bad idea but Kevin wasn't really caring on what to grab. He just needed to get back to her and Skylar and hold her until she stopped shivering. It's not every day in Kevin's life he hears about a robber breaking into an 18th floor apartment building.

By the time Kevin finished stuffing all of Clarissa's things into the bag; he zipped it up, heaved it on its wheels and turned toward the bedroom door to only be greeted by a man standing in the threshold.

But it was no man. No, Kevin could tell by the obvious anatomy incorrect features that resembled a man. It was Demetrius.

"We need to talk..." He closed the door behind him.

"Has anyone seen Crawford?" Brook walked into the training room confidently, though his eyes seemed to deteriorate that notion to Damien as the Tiger peered over his shoulder panting. The training dummy in front of him was torn to shreds and Damien hadn't even been using his full strength to put it in this state.

It's only been a few hours since his morning escapade with Luc, his mind reeling through the worst consequences for the future ahead of him. Most thoughts were targeted to Gavin, the love of his life. The Racoon was probably sitting in Damien's room inside the castle of Arella, gluing himself to his desk while he occupied his time on the novel he's been trying to write for three years.

But mostly Gavin was trying to find ways to relax his worries for the Tiger. Wishing he was safe and out of harm's way. Waiting for his lover to return home safely so they can start their future together; Damien was even planning on an engagement on his return.

But now that thought might be shattered once Gavin discovers Damien has bedded with another male...

"No, he must be out on patrol." Damien sighed and rubbed his wrist to his forehead, whipping off the sweat he was drenched in.

"It's been more than a day. He should have returned already." The Stallion crossed his arms and leaned on one foot. Brook grunted and stared down at the cement flooring, his mind going into strategic mode.

Brook had that tendency to always focus hard on something, and when the soldiers noticed him doing that, they would know he was deep in strategic thought, coming up with the good, the bad, and the consequential ideas. "You think he's in trouble?" That was impossible to the Tiger; Demetrius was one of the top ranking soldiers. He could fight in any situation.

Brook didn't shift his posture or his gaze, "No, not like him. Besides, we haven't had any Rebel activity since Luc's brother..." He cut himself off; the subject was too fresh still.

Demetrius felt an uncomfortable shiver in his spine as he thought of Luc, "He's probably surveying the perimeter around the Gateway."

"Yeah, but for a whole day?" Brook finally looked up into the Tiger's eyes, and Damien instantly knew that look. It was his suspicious glare, "If he's talked to the boy, I'll have him shipped back to the kingdom with his tail strapped between his legs."

Damien winced at the thought, "Want me to go check?"

Brook sighed and rubbed his eyes, he didn't need this stress on him right now, "Yes, yes, go." He grunted, "But take someone with you, I'm not letting anyone go alone now after Logan." He paused again and quivered a little inside his armour, clearly the thought of the small Fox being murdered was still affecting the leader. "I won't let that mistake happen again." He turned slowly and strode confidently out of the training.

Now that Damien thought of it, Brook hasn't been himself after the death of the little messenger, Logan. Then again, after witnessing such death, who could?

Humphrey made him uncomfortable.

Something about working under a Rat who was clearly old and broken made him want to hate his unforgiving life of murder and sin. Though, he never was regretful for working for a good cause and if he had to take orders from him than he surely had no problem with pushing aside his comforts and help make a difference. In fact, the Eternal Rebellion was soon to be an actual reality, in time the soldiers will be ready for battle and the war would finally be a dream come true to cleanse the worlds of the disgusting human creatures.

That was, at least, the primary goal of the whole Rebellions.

Within a few weeks a revolution would begin and the Rebellion soldiers were already preparing themselves for a victory by shinning their armour and planning their futures for rewards and glory and women. The Fennec had to admit, he too has been imagining a day where the war would be victorious but he didn't get too much into depth. The primary focus should be the preparation of the war; the other soldiers would die for their greed within seconds if they planned on getting distracted by such uncertain thoughts.

But who was he to judge a soldier potential; he also was a soldier himself.

Maybe even the best.

No. He was the best.

"Ah, Felix, you're back."

His voice was like sandpaper hitting a chalkboard to Felix that the very sound of it sent cold shivers down his spine and dug into his very stomach, causing him to flinch inwardly unnoticeably. His ears acted upon reflex and dropped to the side of his head, his eyes turning a slight yellow.

"You don't have to be nervous, Felix. You have nothing to be scared about." Humphrey smiled lightly, his wrinkled Rat face making the Fennecs stomach twirl in disgust.

Felix hated the fact Humphrey knew about his emotional color change feature. He never found out why his own eyes change to a different color to his emotions, but he knew enough to be aware that each color represented a certain feeling in him. Currently his eyes were now a slight yellow, which told Felix that he was being very cautious.

Though Felix knew the Rat had discovered that feature about the Fennec, he hated it because he knew exactly how he felt about every single thing he thought and did.

It was a liability to him because if Felix wanted to betray the Rat by killing him--in which those thoughts would have come up on his own private time--his eyes would give it away by burning a glaring red. Red of course meant: revenge or dangerous. So Felix had to play his cards right around him. Otherwise it would mean life or death.

"I gave the message." He replied firmly, his voice a combination of soft and powering.

"Good, was it any trouble?" Humphrey asked as he held up his book to his face, his eyes not even noticing the Fennec standing before him.

"Nothing I couldn't handle." He made sure he kept the conversation at a small talk level, anything by this point the Rat could say may risk his eyes changing color into a dangerous zone. He couldn't risk giving away his hatred towards the Rat.

"That is good to hear. Now, we wait."

Felix bowed and spun on his heels, quickly leaving the darkly lit room and allowing Humphrey to be engulfed in silence with his book once again.

Humphrey knew Demetrius would take the bait. He always jumped to conclusions too quickly. Now, it was up to him to put the boy out in the open.

After ten years, Kevin could still not believe that the Husky standing before him was actually real. Just the very image of Demetrius standing in front of him had resurfaced the unwanted memories of when he and the Husky had their romantic moments, the way Demetrius' eyes would gaze into Kevin's with such love and want. The way Demetrius would hold Kevin, wrapping his large arms around the slender sixteen year old in a way Kevin has never imagined could ever be so warm and comfortable. Both shared a desire, and even though their love took time to grow the romantic liaison eventually crashed when Kevin had to face the most devastating decision of his life.

The choice of Two Worlds: to be with his lover in one or to be with his family in the other. Such decision weighed heavily on both sides and Kevin may have at one point regretted making his decision, but deep down he knew that it was for the best. He couldn't let his family who'd raised him witness their son die on the table.

Then again, even though he made one side happy, it didn't make up for the fact that in the other world he died in the arms of his lover. Kevin would never forgive himself for doing that.

Demetrius strode further into the room cautiously, his glacier blue eyes sticking to Kevin's as he made sure that he had the dominance in the room and not the Human. Last time Kevin had it the cops got involved, this time Demetrius would be one step ahead of him. As of right now his focus was on the Human, though as much as he felt he should be caring for the gaping wound on his arm--courtesy of his attacker--Demetrius' time was running out faster than he had anticipated now that the Eternal Soldiers knew about Kevin.

"You're in danger." The Husky spoke in a hardened tone, the edge in his voice telling Kevin that Demetrius wasn't going to be having a repeat of last time.

Kevin remained silent, though he made no movement to react this time because he knew Demetrius held the upper hand now. The Husky had Kevin trapped in the confined bedroom space of Clarissa's apartment, making a move to escape now would be stupid.

Demetrius took another step closer, "I know you hate me," Kevin's facial features flinched at those words, but before he could speak a word the Husky held up a paw to stop him, "Just listen! I know you and I aren't on ground terms right now and I know I have a lot to explain, but Kevin, if there is just one thing I could ask of you now... It would be to listen to me."

Demetrius took another step forward and Kevin remained still, his eyes squeezing shut for a second as a shock of pain shot through his torso. His wound was getting worse now as he's lost a lot of blood by this point. By the way Kevin hadn't moved from his spot gave Demetrius the green light that he was allowed to continue.

"Right now, there are people in your world who are trying to kill off your species. I know that sounds crazy, but they're going to start the invasion here in New York. Kevin, they know about you now... and if that's the case then might even know your son."

Kevin's heart stopped for a second before realization and common sense took over in his head, his face twisting a bit in confusion as his eyes looked into the Husky's. "What...?"

The doubt in his voice was sickeningly clear to Demetrius that it made even his ears twitch at the sudden vibration of it. This may be harder to explain than he had actually anticipated, but then again, even as the Husky explained it to Kevin he too found it hard to believe. Demetrius just scoffed and changed his tactic, "Look, to put it short, your life is possibly in danger. I need to get you somewhere safe!"

"I'm not going anywhere with you." Demetrius' face went meek and his tail even stopped swaying behind him. That comment hurt, but even as they were said Demetrius needed to remind himself that it's been ten years since they were once together. In that kind of time frame, a lot can happen.

"Kevin... Please..." Demetrius couldn't believe he let his voice crack into a plea, but when certain situations like this arise, the Husky couldn't help but feel desperate.

Kevin glared and changed his posture, "No! Who the hell do you think you are? You think you can just come into my world, barge into my apartment and attack me in front of my child, break into my girlfriend's apartment, scare the hell out of her and better yet trap me in here to tell me that I'm possibly in danger? Why can't you just leave me alone?! You ruined my childhood! I was convinced you were made up, a figment of my imagination and yeah sure, maybe I believed that you'd show up again after a year or two but tenyears? I just gave up hope and believed it was all true. Then you show up and now I'm left feeling crazy again! Why now!? Why did it take you ten years to finally come here now? After having a child, after having a wife who died and left me into a broken shell of hatred and depression?" Kevin screamed his anger so loudly that his voice was now breaking from the pressure inside his throat, the hairs on his body standing so tall that even a slight brush of wind would send a sensation of pins and needles down his entire body. The amount of emotion that was inside his voice was clear to the Husky that Kevin was finally releasing all his bottled up emotions, but how much of this was really bottled?

"Do you honestly think I wasn't trying?" Demetrius barked back, his own patience was now disintegrating like saw dust being slowly blown in the wind, "Do you actually think I haven't tried everything in my power to try and find a way to cross into your world? I devoted so many years of my time trying to find every possible way!" The Husky took a few steps toward Kevin, his pointing finger nearly jabbing into the Human's chest. "How dare you put that guilt on me after you so stubbornly left me like that, after I held your dying body in my arms for the last time! What about you? Why did I have to devote all these years I've wasted in trying to find a Gateway into your world to only find you sharing your love I once had with that... Bitch!"

_ _ Kevin shoved the Husky away from him and raised his pointing finger this time, taking the few steps Demetrius just used to go on the offensive, "Don't you call her that! What was I supposed to do? Wait and be alone with no hope of being with you what so ever? I gave up that hope eight years ago, Demetrius! I had moved on! Why couldn't you!?"

"BECAUSE YOU PROMISED!" Demetrius roared in anger and roughly swatted Kevin's accusing hand away sharply, shoving his entire body into the Human's and slamming his back into the maroon painted wall, his fists tightly wrapped into Kevin's shirt collar and pulling him close to his face so that his words could be spoken more clearly into his ears, "I kept myself loyal! I truly believed that there would be a way; I stayed up for countless nights trying to figure out a possibility for me to reach you! Your promise was what kept me from giving up on you, on faith... and my life! I loved you!"

Kevin's fear finally broke through his tough posterior now as the Husky used actions more than words, his entire body quivering at the sudden roughness Demetrius had done by shoving him into the wall. It was the first time since he's seen the warrior ever show this sort of emotion to him--granted their first meeting never really left room for emotions to vent out anyway, "Y-your life?"

"Yes!" He screamed into Kevin's face, jerking his body roughly, "I had so many times where I just thought it'd be easier if I'd just give up and end my life..." Kevin's heart sunk into the bottomless pit of his stomach and for the first time since he's seen the Husky in his world after ten years, he felt a twinge of something vaguely familiar. A feeling that used to spark something in his stomach to give the Human butterflies whenever he was around the Husky. "But your promise..." Something shiny welled up in the warrior's eyes now as he was explaining himself to his ex-lover, "Your promise was what kept me going. Gave me strength and hope to move forward..."

Kevin wasn't sure how to react properly, the first side of him--the younger sixteen year old in him--wanted to just hug him and reassure the Husky that everything would be okay, that they were together now and nothing would ever be wrong again. But the other side--the real Kevin--wasn't really sure on how to react. Demetrius Crawford himself was having suicidal thoughts all because of one decision Kevin had to make ten years ago.

Kevin began to quiver under his clothes and avoided his eyes from the Husky. Those cold glacier eyes might have finally made his blood freeze over. "Please..." He pleaded again, his legs buckling now and his fists losing its tight grip on Kevin's shirt, his head falling forwards a little. "You have to... Trust me... The Eternal Revolution...Is coming."

As Demetrius gave his last words his body toppled over to the side from the lack of blood that was lost from his wound, fainting hard on the wooden flooring. Kevin just stared forward at the wall before him where Demetrius' eyes were, his mouth gaped open a little and his body quivering from the sudden coldness the Husky's eyes had left him in.

After a few minutes of being frozen solid on his spot, Kevin moved the Husky onto Clarissa's bed. She won't be in her apartment any time soon after seeing Demetrius but that still didn't mean the Husky was out of Kevin's responsibility now. Kevin needed to think, needed to clear his mind before something in his brain explodes from all the stress and panic that was arising.

Eternal Revolution? What, a war of soldiers with swords will cross into their world? That seemed hardly possible if Kevin's world had the Navy forces to fight back. How did the enemy think they would possibly win against ammunitions and bombs?! Unless there was a catch, Kevin couldn't imagine it possible...

He sighed, he has to deal with Clarissa first. Demetrius will come later. Right now, he needed to let him sleep off the blood loss. Kevin grabbed the bag, and left the Husky alone.
