"David seems too unfocused and layed back to be taking this test seriously"

Beside the shortest of the group a black blob splat on the ground as it fell out of the sky then slowly started to take shape, but nothinng defined, just a hooded being. The short one turned to the the one that just returned and spoke with a soft feminine voice though sounded confident.

"You know better than to underestimate the lady's choice, don't you remember what happened last time?"

The hooded male turned to the female and grunted then shiftedd positions, sitting comfortly.

"At least that one was older and more mature, as well had better experience. This is a child we're dealing with, Phoenix user or not."

The female sighed and shook her head.

"You've been in the clan for how long? And you still choose to underestimate the choices that our Captains choose?"

The male looked around and tilted his head.

"He hasn't come back yet?"

"No, it isn't like him to take long though.. I wonder what happened."

A large shadowed figure appeared behind the two, a toothy grin was only visible as it grabbed each of their shoulders. The two jumped, the female gasped and quickly turned to jab the person, her hand was straight and stiff as if she was going to run her hand through the persons chest. From the males back, several black spiked protruded aiming to stab along the persons arm. Before either of their attacks came in contact the the body it vanished, appearing a few feet away from them and laughed.

"You little fucker!"

The female yelled and clenched her fist, the spikes on the male retracted into his body and he sighed deeply.

"You're going to get yourself killed if you keep doing that.."

The laughing male fell over still laughing.

"You shoulda seen your faces!"

The female growled then slammed her fist into the ground, pissed off at his fooling around.

"This is no time to fool around, Storm!"

"I'm allowed to have some fun, we aren't fighting anything right now. Oh and David's group is camping in one of the caves made by the clan."

The shadowy male turned to the one called Storm.

"How did you figure that out?"

Storm sat up making his hood fall off, revealing the face of a German Shepherd, he had short black hair which was longer on the right side but didn't cover his eye, and looked to the other male with his ice blue eyes.

"Well I sorta got lost and I saw one of the bulls so I decided to hop onto one and take a ride."

He chuckled and continued.

"Then I saw David, Druk staring at one of the hidden caves while Zerato kept walking ahead, till he saw the bulls and ran back to David and Druk pushing them in the cave. Guess he never seen these bulls before."

The shadowy male chuckled softly and the female calmed some after hearing the needed information.

"Then let's get there before they wake, it's better to catch them off guard so we don't waste any unnessesary energy."

The female spoke then she stood up and peered over the cliff they were sitting upon, it looking over the magic corrupted land filled with nothing but tainted earth, mountains and the ruins of Kamiki's Castle.

"Do you remember the general area where the cave was? There's more than one here.."

The shadowy male stood up and approached the cliff as well and was soon followed by Storm which he pointed more to the west.

"They didn't make much progress when they got here so they weren't far from the shore, so it makes me wonder where their portal dropped them.."

The shadowy male nodded.

"I know exactly where they are then, just be careful when we get in the cave. The wurm living in there is a pain to fight or avoid."

He then jumped off the cliff and seemed to turn into a shapeless blob again but then took the shape of a hollow Paradom with only the pitch black floating core. One of the black plates opened, revealing a large space for the other two to get into.

"Get in."

Storm took a step forward and was going to jump in but was stopped by the female who looked up to him.

"Ladies first."

Storm moved her arm and jumped in before her.

"Nah, Sheppies first."

He chuckled then the female hopped in and punched Storms shoulder, and glared at him.

"Learn some damn respect, Storm."

The plate closed and the 'Shadow Paradom' flew off with the two inside, Storm swatted at the females hand.

"But everyone knows Sheppies are better than... uhh.. you're a Jackal right?"

"Hyena!"

She barked.

"Yea that. Everyone knows Sheppies before Hyena's."

He chuckled a bit, the Hyena sighed and rolled her eyes, looking now through the space between the plates.

"Aaronn, could you give me a little more info on this Wurm that lives in the cave that David's group is staying in?"

The floating core turned to the Hyena and it shook, then Aaronn's voice seemed eto echo from it.

"Dispite the time I've been with the clan, I never got sent out here. I only know brief details about each continent."

"Uhhh, guys?"

Storm was looking out to the ground below, there was a large gathering of Dark Anmons, Dark Anmon Guards and Dark Mages marching in the direction of the cave they were headed to.

"What is it Storm?"

The Hyena looked over to him and he pointed through the space at the group.

"That.. That's not normal."

The Hyena girl looked to where Storm pointed and hummed a bit.

"Well, it won't be a problem if we get to the cave first. Besides, we're traveling faster then they are and even if we do cross them, they'll be easy, think of it as another training run."

Storm stayed silent but kept watching the gathering of monsters, he seemed quite focused on them. The Hyena rolled her eyes seeing him still worry about it, it took the three about 10 mintues to reach same path David's group took.

"Lemme out here, I'll scout ahead to see if they're awake."

Storm requested as he stood up and pulled his hood back over which somehow hid his ears like he had none. One of the plates opened when they got close enough to the ground, Storm jumped out and quickly blended in with the surrounding area. Aaronn flew over to the cave but remained in the air to keep the moving squad of enemies in sight. Storm looked around before placing his paw on the entrance of the cave, he swiftly moved inside still unseen. His nice ice blue eyes turned red as he bit his thumb causing it to bleed, usinng a bit of his blood magic he spread it in different places on his cloak, arms and legs, he also began to limp further into the cave using the wall as support doing his best to make it seem he was injured. His nose twitched as he could hear someone move, he started to pant softly and move deeper into the cave until he was stopped by Zerato. His chaotic magic flowed from his body as he stared at Storm.

"Who are you?"

His voice sounded somewhat threatening and Storm winced at the tone.

"Nggh.. d-don't attack me.."

He struggled to stand then turned and rested his back against the wall and sat down, groaning.

"I barely escaped..."

Zerato remained in his spot and watched the unknown male, crossing his arms.

"From what?"

"There's...an army of Anmons, Anmon Guards and Dark Mages out there.."

Zerato smirked then returned to the little camp area, leaving Storm alone for a moment. Storm could hear him speaking to someone.

"Hey, wake up. Need you to do something."

Then there was a sudden yip then a groan.

"Dammit.. Zerato, why'd you kick me?"

"Just get up and follow me."

Zerato returned to the unknown injured person with David.

"Here, heal him."

David looked at the male and tilted his head, the clear scent of blood radiated from him.

"What happened to him? And who is he?"

"I can only guess that he's from the clan since he managed to find this cave."

David yawned softly then his ears perked up remembering what happened yesterday.

"What? I don't trust him."

David started to back away slowly, Storm let out a pained sigh and stared at the ground then looked up finally seeing David, his tail wagged a bit. David watched Storm carefully, an orangy aura emitted from his body.

"Can you heal me? Please? I can help you with your test."

Zerato growled at David.

"Heal him and then we can kill the enemies that are outside and let him do what he wants to. It only seems right that we help the clan that we're trying to join, no?"

David nods a bit, too tired to argue. He approachedd the 'injured' male and a blue flame escaped his maw pouring over him, consuming his body. Storm winced seeing his body get consumed in blue flames which didn't hurt to his surprise, his tail wagged happily and he licked David's face.

"Thanks cutie."

David blushed a bit and backed away as Storm stood up.

"Uh.. yea, no problem.. So what's your name?"

Storm brushed himself off and started for the door.

"Oh, my name's Ryan, thanks for helping me David and Zerato. If you don't mind, would you come help me get rid of the rest of these enemies?"

Zerato followed behind 'Ryan', David went back to quickly fetch his weapons and followed after. As they reached outside the sun was just rising, a soft yellowy-orange glow pouring throughout the land between the corruption and mountains. The Shadow Paradom started to move sneakily down the mountain the hyena girl mumbled to herself.

"I guess the cat was still sleeping.. but this is going to be interesting..the monsters are almost here and I don't think we can get rid of these two that fast."

"We'll just have to try."

Zerato looked around not seeing an enemy nearby then glared at 'Ryan'

"These enemies are where?"

Ryan pointed forwards

"They will be coming from that direction.. be careful, there's a lot of them."

Zerato grinned and already started to gather magic in front of him, a steadily growing ball of chaos magic, there was a purple aura around it and the core was black.

"Oh, I can tell.. they'll be gone in no time."

David watched Zerato with a worried look on hs face as Zerato gathered more magic into a most likely devastating attack.

"Zerato...I don't think that's nessesary, that's a lot of magic you're gathering for a mass of weak enemies.."

The hyena ad Arronn watched from above.

"What's that kid doing? I can feel the pressure of that and it's definetly going to leave a crater behind"

Aaronn nodded.

"Truely is the most destructive magic."

Zerato's ears twitched.

"David, since I got these taken care of, get the ones that are flying behind us. Only two of them.. one's rather dangerous, so be careful."
