Yes, this did happen, ill be writing as it plays out. (im going though a lot due to my grandfather did die today, but ill keep this story going.)

I yawned as I got up out of my slumber, Hayden still asleep, as well as his brother. 'Wonder how long they will sleep today?' I said in my head, than shrugged and padded outside to watch the sunrise. I sat down on the slightly cold wooden bench. All I had to cover my body was white T-shirt that had sweat stains on it from last night show, and Black shorts. My tail wagged in between the back and seat of the bench, I could feel the snow moving around with each wag. After a few minutes waiting for the sun to come up Hayden walked out with sweat pants and a black shirt on. He sat beside me and I nuzzled up into him making him purr lightly.

"Hey hon." I said smiling as the sun started to rise.

"Hey sheppie." He murred.

"so what's the plane for today?" I asked him.

"Mtn dew run, go to class, come home, yiff and sleep." He chuckled and licked my ear, which made me giggle lightly. Just as he was about to kiss me, my phone went off. "Who is it?" he asked trying to see the screen.

"My mom," I said and opened my flip phone. "Hey mom, what's up?" I asked. After a few sobs I got worried "mom?"

"Honey, your Grandpa.." she started crying more.

"What happened to grandpa?" I asked starting to get some tears in my eye, Hayden's paw wrapped around my bicep.

"He, he died." She said in between her sobs.

"he..." tears fell fast from my muzzle, Hayden knew what happened, due to the loudness of my phone. He hugged me tightly, and I wrapped my arms around his waist crying into his shoulder. I could feel his tears falling down the back of my shirt. Though he didn't meet my grandpa much, he still liked him. I had no choice, I had to let go of my phone. With a light thud it sank into the snow, and I hugged Hayden tighter than I ever had before.

"shh, hon, it will be ok." He said lightly into my ear, but I just kept crying into his shirt covered chest.

My grandpa had Cancer on his tongue; he has been fighting it for the past year. Sadly to day was the time he had to go. I am happy he finale passed on, because he won't be in any more pain. But half of me wanted him to stay longer. I shook my head and let go of Hayden, once I did I just feel into the snow. He picked me back up, as well as my phone and walked me back into the dorm. Cody noticed us walking in, and his eyes went wide.

"ill talk to you guys later." And he walked out quickly. That's one thing I love about Cody, and Hayden, They know when to leave. I fell onto the bed and Hayden climbed in and hugged me tightly. After a few sobs and nuzzling into my husky, I feel asleep.
