Chapter Four:

'My day job, working for a motel that jips out on towels in every room and even reuses the plastic cups, but just seeing his face as I played, I had butterflies dancing in my gut,'

Jason nervously strolled his fingers against the metallic strings of a bass guitar, the irish setter singer lingered around Jason very closely, her breasts rubbing against his arm like she was examining this new comer.

"Who do we have here Dean?" Raera asked with a large smirk and raised brow glancing over towards the husky who had the other guitar strapped on.

"Jason. This is the band, Raera is our singer, Tucker our drummer, you know me I'm the guitarist, and this is Jason, our new bass guitar," Dean calmly stated strumming a few chords on his electric instrument.

"I don't care who or what he is, the question is can he play?" Grumpily stated, Tucker slapped the drum to the set just to reassure that everyone knew what mood he was in. The grouchy voice convinces Jason to step to the side, only to be caught by Dean's free arm. Dean pulled the newest member close to his side, the husky's thick muzzle grazing through Jason's golden locks making the younger man blush.

"Don't be afraid," Deans hushed voice growled, the hot breath that collapsed out from his lungs soon brushed Jason's neck, making the blush worse that wrapped his cheeks.

"Can we get recording?" Raera snapped pulling the mic to her lips in mid sentence, "You can read notes right?" a sudden silence ran through the recording room as the blinking red light tipped on and Dean's rough electric guitar hummed the beat, laying the flat line to spike in melody.

"Not really, but I'll just follow Dean,"Murmuring to his own mind, Jason gulped and followed along as supporting bass, taking the beat into mind and formulating a flavor to mix, a foreign sound from the usual, edgy tone. Noticing the change in tune, Dean held in a breath for only a moment, just to take in the sound of their two personalities blending together. Drums jerked into the roll of beat just as the singer also bursted in with the hip sound of the lyrics written months ago.

Snap. The cap of a plastic water bottle snapped open and then soon pressed to the lips of Raera as she guzzled it down. "Great job today guys, the producer liked the sound, and I'm thinking it's going to be a hit," Raera loosely smirked as she sat on the comfy couch that resided in the waiting room of the recording studio. Soon, the tired singer fell back on Tucker's lap, her red-brown curls flowing down the man's thighs.

"Well that's great!" Jason smiled, his shaggy tail wagging in excitement and enthusiasm. Dean came from behind and patted Jason's head, ruffling his hair slightly.

"You did well Jason," Dean commented, his eyes smooth and comforting towards Jason. The comment made the shorter mutt blush as the tingling sensation from Dean's fingers soon lifted from Jason's hair, however the feeling stayed even after. Pretty soon Jason smiled, looking up to Dean, but suddenly looked passed the husky's thick pelt to find his worst fear, time. Hour hand held stance on the number eight,

"Is it really THAT late! Dean, do me a favor and-" Blushing face melted over Jason's cheeks as he continued to gulp and ask the question, "Co-Could you drive me to the general store, I'm late for my shift," Gulping once more on a hard throat, jason pleaded at Dean's feet like a puppy.

Blinking, Dean cocked his head one way, then sighed and started to chuckle with a nod following shortly after the brief motion of humor, "Sure," Two two walked silently out the front doors towards a sleek black car. Jason naturally slipped into the passenger side seat, Dean into the drivers side of course. Zoom, the two zipped away from the parking spot and off to the highway where the smooth cement path sliced through the slightly busy street. Silence was bliss in the vehicle, neither Jason nor Dean dared break it to even say a word in exchange.

The wheels of the black car slipped into a slim space out front of the general store and parked while Jason squirmed in his seat to get out. Suddenly Dean grabbed Jason's hand and held it up to his husky lips.

"Thank you for performing today," Dean growled allowing Jason to get out, a bit dazed, then zoom, the car zipped away without a trace.
