Author note: This story came to me from a dream I had recently. This will be a story series with yiff in it but in this beginnig part i just wanted to set the tone and environment the main character has wandered into. Yes it isn't the greatest but i was working from memory entirely. Enjoy, more to come soon.

Pacificaris

Written by Mist

Mist sat at his control chair bored as hell, with not much going on in the RNA as of late. He let out a quiet sigh and began to read through old tales that were in his ship's computer. After a few hours of reading through some rather boring ones he came across an account of a sailor that had come across an island in the pacific when he shipwrecked. According to this sailor, there was no other place that could even compare to the beauty and the secrets of this island. Mist continued to read on:

"I came to what looked as a small lagoon and dipped in for a swim, suddenly something swam up next to me. I was afraid because all I saw was a fin sticking out of the water but then the creature swam closer and I could tell it was a dolphin, but it was odd because it had arms, and legs, and a body figure that looked very much human. I was shocked to find such a creature, that I had never seen before, in all my travels. The dolphin swam up to me and poked its head out of the water then clicked and squealed a bit as a normal dolphin would do. I had no idea what it was saying, but it started to motion me to follow it. Naturally I took my shirt off, only leaving on my pants and dove into the water. It was leading me to an alcove and something appeared that looked like a see-thru eye. I started to become more frightened as it scanned me then my guide, as soon as it was done a large rocky door behind it opened and we swam inside."

Mist looked for a next page, but it was missing. He leaned back in his chair and smiled widely as he tried to imagine what such a place that his own species had built. He looked to the date on the file and noticed it was dated to 1882. Quite a long time ago, he had to wonder if this place still existed, and if it did would there still be anyone there. Mist was feeling rather tired so he decided to sleep on it. However, while he slept, Pacificaris would be calling to him.

Mist awoke the next day, smiling widely at the dream he had just had. In his dream he was heading inside that island paradise imagining what it looked like on the inside and trying to fill in the missing details. There was only one problem, he didn't know where to even start looking for the island. Mist knew that the author of the document he read yesterday was named J.T. Collins, and that the date on the paper was 1882. Mist immediately put in a search for news headlines about that time, hoping he could find some clue as to where the ship wrecked. The search results came up with 22 different major wrecks, 5 were on Earth. Mist figured that would be the planet to search considering that J.T. called the species human-like. Assuming that J.T. was human himself, he went for Earth. Mist looked closely through the 5 news articles he highlighted and read through each. Of the 5, 3 were near mainland areas, not an island. This left just 2 that Mist had to search. One was located in the Bermuda triangle, the other, however, only gave coordinates of where the ship was last known. Mist decided to try that location first, so he called into his superiors and told them he'd be on a weeks leave to which they agreed was ok, then headed off for Earth.

Earth was being under close watch by the Planetary Council after the last battle which happened recently. General Mist just arrived just in time to rescure the fleet commander and destroy the enemy, so he deserved a break. As Mist approached Earth he activated both cloaking and vapor emissions nullifier before entering Earth's atmosphere. Before long he was flying towards the coordinates, his map indicated that he was over the Pacific Ocean. Looking to his scanners he was picking up a vast array of nothing, nothing island size anyway until he came nearly right on top of the coordinates. As he looked to the view screen the island below him was tiny, only about a mile and a half across, and two miles deep. He landed his ship in a small clearing then moved his way to the outside hatch and stepped out. Blazing sun instantly hit him and he moved back inside to put hi biosuit on for protection, and because his helmet had solar shading. His ship was still under cloak and he did the same for his suit, making it invisible against his form, se he appeared like his usual, nude self.

After much walking and treading through the jungle Mist came upon a small clean looking lagoon. In his mind Mist was partying as this must have been the same lagoon J.T. came across nearly 130 years ago, now he just had to remember where the door was. Mist slipped into the cool lagoon then swam over to a small alcove, and there he spotted markings on a flat wall, as he approached closer something came up from the ground and scanned, shortly after the wall behind it started to slide open. This was indeed the place Mist was searching for. Upon swimming past the door he noticed there was what looked like and elevator, in a sand colored room. The door closed behind him and he walked up to the elevator then moved inside it and pushed a button, the doors creaked closed as it obviously hadn't been used in years, and the elevator started its decent. As it went below sea level the elevator started to go sideways along what looked to be a small track, he was a bit startled by this but was ok with it. Mist looked around at the ocean surrounding him, the elevator then appeared to move down again into a small vent. When the decent stopped in a room, Mist noticed the a door above him close, then the water was being pumped out to a thin layer on the ground. "This is quite some place already," Mist thought.

He turned to the sound of the elevator doors opening and the smell of stale air greeted him. Several things were going through his mind as he approached the door, unsure if he should open it, "Perhaps this place was abandoned? what if I find death beyond this door? Should I even open it?" Mist was about to open the door when it opened for him, and he was greeted with not only fresher air, but also someone much like himself, only more handsome. "Welcome to Pacificaris, Mist," the male said happily. Mist looked beyond the male in front of him and noticed that the place was indeed busy, full of others that looked like similar in form to the male in front of him, and there were apparent females there too. Mist then realized the male knew his name, "Y..you know me?" The male chuckled and churred softly as he looked to Mist, "Of course, you're only the most famous of our kind we know of...and I must say that you look more handsome than the media portrays you as." Mist blushed deeply and looked around again, it seems everyone was looking upon him, little kids were eagerly trying to see him as larger adults blocked the path. He looked back to the male still smiling to him "I...I was led here by a document that a human left, when he was here many years ago, what happened to him?" The male looked down for a bit, "He was before even my time, the human you mention was J.T. Collins. Such a great guy too. He taught us English, some of his traditions, brought along some farming techniques. In return we let him live here for the rest of his life, also we cured him of any ailments he had." Mist stood there wide-eyed as the male went on, "It was a sad day here when he passed, the leader here at that time held a special memorial service for him. His memorial and grave site are where his wrecked ship is." Mist nodded and smiled to the male, "Sad indeed...but at least he helped you out here. By the way, you know my name, yet I don't know yours" The male laughed a bit and motioned Mist to head inside then they walked around for a bit, everyone else just stared and watched, "My name is Juward Revold, the little one next to me is my son, Elliot. I'm the relations leader here, greeting newcomers, which rarely happens, is just part of my job. Our main leader is in the central palace there towards the center, basically all he does is keeps the peace and organizes special events." "What is your population here?" Mist asked. "We are about seven thousand strong, and still growing." Mist looked around the huge expanse of levels and businesses inside what appeared to be a huge bubble, nearly 3 times the size of the island near it. The structure could hold twenty thousand easily, so why was it less than half that? "Has your population always been so low?" Juward stopped and sighed softly "No...we were much larger, but a civil war broke out, killed off a large chunk of the population of that time, since then we have been slowly growing." Mist nodded and noticed that Elliot was looking up to him then blushed as he realized the stranger was looking to him, turning his gaze to the ground. "I think your son likes me, I noticed he keeps looking my way." Juward laughed a bit, "So is everyone else here...like I said, we don't get many outsiders coming in." Elliot then looked back up to Mist, "Can I see your flying thing up there?" Mist giggled a bit "perhaps at a later time, I just got here." Elliot awed and nodded then scampered off someplace. "Cute kid," Mist said softly as he watched Elliot run off. "Yeah...hyper thing at times too. I see he likes the ship you came here in, I have a feeling he'll stick around you more the longer you stay here." "Sadly I can only stay for a week but I'll try to stay longer." "You may stay for as long as you like here, after all, you are a hero amongst us." Blushes again then smiles as a young teenage female winked to him, showing him her pink belly. Mist winked back and churred softly. "I think I'll like it here indeed, I imagine you have a room for me?" Juward nodded then led Mist towards the inner part of the complex where the nicer homes were, Mist was led up to a nice luxurious apartment and headed inside. "I'm staying here? This is much nicer than anything I'm used to." Mist exclaimed as he looked it over. "I'll take that as you like it," Juward smiled. "Like it...hell I love it, I wish it was this nice on my ship." "Ah...unless you need anything else I'll let you rest here" "Um, there is one thing, do you have a map of this place? I was wanting to explore around a little on my own." Juward nodded and brought up a map of the complex then printed out a hard copy for Mist, "Here you go, Mist. Rest well." With that Juward turned then exited after Mist nodded to him. Mist looked around at the blue walls and felt like he was in the ocean himself, the walls were actually decorated with dolphins and some pictures of the previous leaders of Pacificaris. Mist meandered into the bedroom, as he gazed around the place. A small smile grew on his face as he looked to the king sized bed. Mist moved over to it then took his biosuit off before laying down on the extremely comfortable bed, so comfortable that he began to feel his eyelids grow heavy and soon he was asleep in the place he called Paradise.
