Squeaks in silence

High upon the 6th floor of an 8-story building lived a man named Daniel Borenten. He was a statistic analyzer/evaluator for an investors company called Kinsol investors. His job was to gather data on new prospects and companies both new and currently existing. The data he collected ranged from who was in charge, what do they do, what have they done, average yearly profits/expenses, and many other things of interest. He gathered the information so the higher ups in the company could get a better view point on investing company money, or not.

When Daniel just started to work for Kinsol investors they were small. Outshined by the other big buildings and just staying afloat in terms of business. A few short months after Daniel was hired, the money started to flow into the company so fast that it even made a rival investing company called Siren investors group a bit wary. The 2 companies stayed off each others so called turf, so all was well for the most part. But their was always a bit of tension between them whenever a new business came into the city.

Daniel's apartment wasn't too big. A Bedroom, small bathroom and a small kitchen attached to his living room. It suited Daniels lifestyle perfectly and wasn't too far from where he worked.

Daniel was a mouse by race, 5 foot nothing with light grey fur covering his entire body. He was 24 years old and was oddly enough a very calm fellow compared to other mice. He had a good charisma about him that helped him get his way fairly easy. He also had 2 big blue eyes that looked like they were ornaments taken from a Christmas tree. A toned body and was a fairly good runner. He loved to run a few blocks in his spare time whenever he wasn't being chased by something with sharp teeth or claws.

The day was just starting on this Friday morning. The sun was barley shining over his apartment building, symbolizing the eve of another day of work.

Daniel's bedroom was a bit bland. The floor was covered in a dark blue carpet and the walls were light grey. A bed with a night stand on each side, a digital alarm clock on the right night stand with a lamp. A dresser beside a small book shelf. A full body mirror a few feet from the closet that held Daniels suits and other more distinguished clothing. And a good sized window that overlooked the city.

Suddenly the digital alarm clock's alarm went off. Daniel slammed his paw on the clock then proceeded to fumble around with it until he flipped a small switch on it's side.

Daniel's bed sheets were ruffled into a mess by the constant restless squirming he did during the night. It took a moment or two to free himself from the tangle of his warm prison. After he was free he stood up and stretched out a bit as he looked at the clock for the time.

"6 am... oh how I loathe thee..." He said, still a bit groggy.

Daniel proceeded to make his bed. Then took a pair of boxers from the dresser nearby and walked out of his room towards the small bathroom.

He took a quick shower before putting on the boxers, brushed his teeth then walked back into his room to put on a nice suit to go to work in. He had 3 suits in total. 2 were dark grey and 1 black 1950's pin striped gangster type suit. 1 of the dark grey suits needed to be dropped off at the cleaners on the weekend. He was planning to do that tomorrow. After a bit of thought he decided to wear the clean dark grey suit.

After getting dressed he headed to the kitchen for breakfast. Daniel never was one for a balanced breakfast but liked a nice big bowl of bowl of cereal and soymilk.

He grabbed his bowl and cereal and set them on the counter. Next he took the milk from the fridge and a big spoon from a drawer before he sat down on a stool near the counter. He then mixed the cereal and milk in the bowl and proceeded to eat.

After he was done he placed the dishes in the sink and the box of cereal in the cupboard.

Daniel fetched his wallet, keys and cell phone from one of his nightstands. Picked up a small briefcase beside the same nightstand. And finally put on his good formal shoes that were carefully placed near the front door of his apartment. After he was all set, he opened his front door and stepped outside. He locked the door behind him with his keys and proceeded to walk to work.

Daniel took the same route to work everyday. Walk due west for a few blocks until you see a big building marked "Kinsol Investors" in the front. It took Daniel around 20 minutes to get to work by foot. The streets Daniel took to work were always busy, even around 6:30 in the morning. The weather was fairly cool but that could change soon enough. It was the only the beginning of summer.

He soon made it to work on time and a bit more alert due to the slight chill in the wind. He stopped a few meters from the door of Kinsol Investors and looked up at the 5 story building. Staring at the mirror like windows as the sunbeams glistened upon it's silver tint. It was a small ritual Daniel had, to look up at those walls and stare at the bight reflection of the sky. It brought him a bit of confidence. He then set his sights on the front door of the building and proceeded to walk inside.

"Hey Daniel. How are you doing this morning?" Said Jake the receptionist at the front desk. He was a bunny and was covered in an off white colour of fur. He was cheerful and was just a year younger then Daniel. Both of them had lunch together whenever Daniel wasn't swarmed with work or appointments. Jake Harken was his full name.

"I'm doing fine Jake, how's things going for you and the wife?" Daniel said as he walked to the front desk.

"Fine, just fine. The wife and I are planning to move to a better part of the city soon. Might be around your area. We're going to need more space if we plan to start a family right?"

"I guess so Jake. Just tell me when you're a soon to be father and I'll try to get a box of cigars for the celebration."

"Heh heh, yea that's going to go over really well with the wife you know."

"Oh pfff, like you have never been around a few cigars before. Just say you were around some big shot who had one lit up and was puffing like a chimney on the street."

"Hmm... That might work Daniel. I'll keep that in mind. Anyways there is nothing big planed today but I was told to inform you that Mr. Shozen wanted to see you today."

Daniel had a quick mind when it came for processing data. It was a wonder how he could think so fast and talk so smoothly some times. 'Great' Daniel thought to himself. 'Just what I needed.' Daniel snapped back into the real world and said. "Oh goody, I wonder what the special occasion is this time."

Jake had a little laugh. "Yea, every time he wants to see you it's more or less asking for help picking his vacation plans."

"Oh well, Thanks Jake. I better go and see what the boss needs today." Daniel said as he turned towards the elevator.

"later Daniel. I hope we can get lunch today. Let me know before 11 if you can."

Daniel entered the elevator and was joined soon after by a female fox and a male mix breed canine. Both of them wore semi formal clothes. Daniel pressed the 5th floor button and the female fox pressed the 2end.

The elevator soon closed it's doors and moved higher through the building. Soon a chime rang and the doors opened up on the second floor. Both the fox and canine walked out of the elevator.

The second floor was a place where stocks were traded. Anything from oil to coffee, sold and bought through computers and phones. The floor was covered in small cubicles and was usually loud and hectic.

Daniel was one of the few people who actually liked the second floor. He loved the serenity he found in areas booming with noise. It silenced his mind and made him calm. But Daniel didn't work on the second floor, and usually had little reason to be there anyways.

Most people didn't know about this odd desire Daniel had to be in the mist of madness, wrapped in the waves of sound. Most people just thought Daniel was just looking for someone or something whenever he took the odd walk around the second floor. Only his close friends knew the real reason why he liked to walk around the second floor when he wasn't busy. Only his friends... and his boss.

The elevator door soon shut and continued to rise up to the top floor. The light above the door shined 3 now. The commercial department, anyone who wanted a loan or get funding for a business went there. It was a floor with many cubicles that were slightly nicer then on the second floor. There was also a few small offices lining the walls reserved for more private small business affairs with clients.

The light shined 4 next. The place where the rich and more distinguished business meetings were held in private. Personal offices were placed throughout this floor. Daniels office was placed here as well. A nice corner office pointed to the west. It was a bit small which was one of the reasons Daniel got it. But it had plenty of space for Daniels line of work.

The last number soon lit up with a ding of the elevator. The fifth floor was where the boss's office was, as well as other high board members offices were. There was also a big room held for board meetings, but it was hardly used. Unless Mr. Shozen was taking another vacation to the tropics and had to say who was in charge in his absence.

The elevator doors opened up and Daniel made his way through the hall leading to Mr. Shozen's reception room. Personally Daniel thought a reception room before his office was tacky for an investors company. But the boss thought it added a bit of pride to the companies image and was also a nice place for the more wealthy clients to rest their feet after walking from their limo or car to the elevator.

Mr. Shozen was a pervert and a bit of a flirt. He was good with people just like Daniel, but he also had that high class flair that drove business to him. Some of the male clients he dealt with personally found him to be a arrogant disgrace to their sexuality as a hole. But the women clients seemed to like him a lot.

Daniel opened the door leading to the Mr. Shozen's reception room and walked directly over to his secretary. Linda Scarlet. A fellow mouse by race but female. Light grey fur with brown eyes. She wore small semi-circle glasses that complemented her facial futures quite well and matched her light brown suit. She also had a silver pen in her chest pocket.

Mr. Shozen liked to give out silver plated pens whenever he wanted to boost moral in his employees, or whenever he wanted to say good job.

Linda was typing on her computer when Daniel entered. She paid no attention to him until he was leaning upon her desk.

"Good morning Linda. I was told Mr. Shozen wanted to see me this morning."

She stopped typing for a moment to see Daniels now bright and cheerful face smiling back at her. "That's correct. I'll page him to let him know you're here." She then pressed a button on an intercom placed on her desk and spoke into the machine. "Mr. Shozen, Daniel Borentan is here to see you."

A reply soon shot out of the intercom a few seconds later. "Very well, send him in please."

Linda pointed towards the door into the main office and said to him. "He just wanted to let you know that his is very happy with your work last quarter Daniel. He wont say it directly, even though he was practically dancing when he saw the numbers."

"Thanks Linda." Daniel said in return. They were work place acquaintances more or less. They helped each other out to get on the boss's good side by passing on information. It worked out well for both of them so far.

Daniel made it up to the office door and opened it gently. The room was rather large, more then 6 times the size of Daniels small office. It was decorated in art and expensive office furniture. There was a good overview of the city at the opposite end of the office through the windows. Mr. Shozen's desk was uncluttered and polished to a pristine shine. It was made out of wood but even Linda didn't know what type. Mr Shozen didn't really care what it was made out of. As long as it looked expensive. There were 2 nice looking office chairs in front of the desk and 1 big reclining office chair behind it where Mr. Shozen sat. The only things that were on the desk were a few silver pens, a green office lamp and a few documents held in folders that needed his signature.

Mr. Shozen was sitting in his chair behind the desk. He was toying with one of his silver pens in his paw as Daniel was closing the door behind him. Daniel made his way to Mr. Shozen desk and stood before the tiger.

Mr. Shozen was a tall man. 6'9" and was a tiger by race. He was charming, calm and collected. But he had a bad habit with staring at shinny objects. He got entranced with them too easily.

"Ehem." Daniel said trying to wake up his boss from his obvious trance.

"Um? Oh yes, Daniel I wanted to see you today." Mr. Shozen said as he laid the silver pen upon his desk. "I just wanted to let you know personally that your doing a great job and that all of your predictions on last quarters investment strategies were correct. The company is once again prospering due to your help."

"Thank you sir. Will that be all?" Was Daniel's response.

"Please sit Daniel. I have one more thing."

Daniel took a seat on the chair to his left and got comfortable. Most of the time when Mr. Shozen needed something. Mr. Shozen took more then ample time to explain some problem he was in and somehow it usually ended with Daniel going to some ball or social gathering in his stead. Not that Daniel didn't like to mingle with the rich and powerful clients that basically signed his pay check. He just didn't like to talk about business and money when he was off duty.

"I have found out some distressing news my friend."

"And what would that be Mr. Shozen?"

There was a odd silence in the room as Daniel's sentence ended. Daniel could see Mr. Shozen face change slightly darker.

"After all this time. It turns out I haven't given you one of my silver pens." Mr. Shozen Picked up a small box from a drawer in his desk and handed to Daniel followed by a smile.

Daniel took the box and said "Thank you sir." Daniel was a bit disappointed. He was hoping for something a little more substantial and not just a silver plated pen.

"You earned it my friend. Besides, as it turns out. I'm not done with the surprises."

"What do you mean sir?"

"You have been working hard every day for a long time... So I think a Friday off with pay is the least I could do to make it up to you."

Daniel's ears perked up after hearing this. "Really? Are you sure you don't need me today?"

"I'm quite of that. Besides you handed in your reports yesterday afternoon. And I have nothing important for you to look into at this time. So go home, relax and enjoy your well earned day off Daniel."

'Ok.' Daniel started to think. 'Maybe my boss isn't such a bad guy after all. I could use a day off.'

"Well thank you Mr. Shozen. Is there anything else you wanted to say? Or may I go?"

"You may go Daniel, Take care."

Daniel got up from the chair and left quickly just in case Mr. Shozen was pulling a fast one on him. But Mr. Shozen did no such thing. Daniel turned his head as he reached for the door knob as he saw Mr. Shozen simply pick up his silver pen from his desk and turn his chair to the window. Savoring the view of the city before him.

Daniel turned the door knob and walked out of the office. As he passed Linda he gave her a thumbs up. She gave Daniel a quick smile and went back to her work. Daniel then left the reception room and headed towards the elevator.

Daniel was soon back on the first floor and was humming the nameless elevator tune that was playing on the way down. He walked over to the front desk to tell Jake what happened.

After Daniel explained what happened Jake responded with. "Well I guess you're free for lunch today huh?"

"That I am Jake. Where did you want to go today?" Daniel asked

"Well I was thinking Chinese today. Sound good?"

"I guess I could go for some egg rolls. Your lunch break still at 11:30?

"Yep. I'll see you at the Dragon Garden then."

"Alright then, Later Jake." Daniel said as he turned to walk out the front door.

"Don't be late Daniel!" Jake said "I'll order for you if you don't show up early!"

Daniel left through the front doors and was about to make his way home through the now busy streets, when it hit him. The sounds of the cars and busses that roared through the air. The hard clapping of paw and shoe on pavement accenting the sides of the streets like a heavy rain. The bells and whistles. The horns and yells. It sent a massive chill down Daniels' spine. It was cold but inviting. His tail slightly twitched as the chill traveled down closer to his tail. Daniel savored the chaos inside and around him. It only lasted for a moment, but it was wonderful burst of bliss.

Soon Daniel regained his composure and left his workplace behind him as he walked back home, happy and refreshed.

Back in Mr. Shozen's office. Mr. Shozen was finishing a deal that would change more then his own life for years to come.

"Mr. Shozen your 7:15 appointment is here." Linda said through the intercom.

Mr. Shozen pressed the reply button and spoke. "Good send her in. It's best to get this done and over with as soon as possible."

The door to Mr. Shozens' office opened and a midnight black furred female squirrel walked in. She wore a black suit with gold buttons and a matching pair of shoes. Her assistant closely followed behind her.

The assistant was also a female squirrel but her fur was a light brown. She wore a brown colored suit.

They each took a seat in the chairs in front of the desk. But before any words were said the brown squirrel placed a folder on top of Mr. Shozen's desk.

Mr. Shozen breathed out a heavy sigh. "So, this is how our rivalry ends?"

The midnight black squirrel replied smoothly. "I guess it does, but don't worry my friend. The only thing that will change is that you will have more time to travel."

"So. Did you look for a replacement yet? Or have you already made your decision on who will take my place?" Mr. Shozen asked.

The black squirrel leaned towards Mr. Shozen and spoke softly. "I don't believe that is any of your concern now isn't it? Just sign the papers and the photos, negatives and a nice large sum of money is yours."

Mr. Shozen sighed again. "I'll miss this place." He took the papers out of the folder and signed them. He then placed the documents back inside the folder and slid them back to the brown furred squirrel. "So many good memories here. Well I wish the best of luck to whoever you choose."

The assistant stood up and handed another brown envelope to Mr. Shozen as she took the first one with the documents from the desk. As the assistant was sitting back down the black squirrel said. "Just between you and me. I think that mouse you work oh so very hard gathering data everyday needs a promotion. Don't you?"

Mr. Shozen laughed slightly. "If you told me you were going to pass the baton to him. It would have softened the blow a bit."

"Come now Mr. Shozen. What fun would that be? You know very well that I like to keep people guessing, it makes things more interesting. And as for Daniel, heh... I think it would be fun to pay poor little Daniel a visit soon. It would be better for me to befriend him before I become his boss. Wouldn't you agree?"

Mr. Shozen was startled by her sentence. "Please go easy on him Ms. Curen. He's a good man."

Ms. Curen chuckled a bit. "We shall see if my assumptions about him are correct. I have been keeping tabs on him for a wile now and have learned a lot. I think that he will be fine with what I have in store for him. Not at first of course, but he will give in... eventually."

Mr. Shozen smiled and thought to himself. 'I almost feel sorry for Daniel right now. He's going to be in for one rough weekend.'

Right after Mr. Shozen was done thinking those 2 lines. Ms. Curen said out loud. "I wouldn't feel sorry for him if I were you."

Mr. Shozen was shocked at this perfectly timed statement. And in his mind he started to think "What the..."

"Hell? Please Mr. Shozen. There is nothing you can hide from me. You should have learned that by now." Ms. Curen and her assistant then stood up.

"You will receive your payment in 24 hours." Ms. Curen said. "I will get my assistant to confirm the transfer on Saturday. If the money is not in your account by then we will straighten the deal out on Monday. Goodbye and it was a pleasure doing business with you."

Both Ms. Curen and her assistant began to walk towards the door as gracefully as they came in. The Brown Squirrel leapt forward a bit to open the door for Ms. Curen.

Mr. Shozen thought to himself for a moment. 'Ms. Curen can you read my thoughts?'

Ms. Curen stopped in her tracts, turned around and smiled at Mr. Shozen. Her smile was so cheerful and bright, it was sickening. "It pays to know people... inside and out." She said before she walked out of Mr. Shozen office.

Ms. Curen left the confused and slightly scared Mr. Shozen alone to enjoy the last moments he would have inside his office. Before everything he worked for and took for granted would be passed on to the one who he owed everything inside his office to. Daniel.

Yet he wasn't angry or upset about what happened. He would still be rich and now have even more time to play with his wealth. But he felt sorry for Daniel in a way. "Poor kid..." Mr. Shozen started to say. "Poor kid has one hell of a stalker on his tail. I hope he makes it out from all of this ok. She obviously has something we both can't defend against."

Mr. Shozen then turned his chair towards the windows and looked out beyond the cities bright glow. Beyond the clouds and buildings big and small. He stared towards the horizon, and as he stared towards the thin line separating the sky and the land. He felt relieved in a way. "Well... at least she's not after me."

Later that day Daniel was safe and sound at home eating a small peanut butter sandwich. He was sitting in his favorite chair placed near a wall and beside a lamp. It was also aligned with his TV.

Daniel was watching a movie on TV. It was an action flick with a lot of pointless kung fu fighting.

Before Daniel knew it. 11 am was becoming rather close. He thought to himself. 'I better get moving. It will take me around 30 minutes to get to the dragon garden. Eh... I'll stay in my suit for now. No sense putting on something else when this is still good.'

So Daniel turned off the television with his remote and ate the rest of the small sandwich. He proceeded to get up and grab his things to go meet with Jake at the restaurant.

It took a little better then 30 minutes for Daniel to get to the restaurant from his home. He took his usual route to work then proceeded to walk a little further down the street to a small restaurant named the Dragon Garden.

It was a nice looking restaurant that was known for its spicy food. It was a great place to eat and was usually packed with customers every lunch and dinner time. The outside walls of the restaurant were made of red bricks. And placed directly over the doorway was a big wooden sign with Chinese lettering on top and an English translation underneath. It read "The Dragon Garden." The rest of the outside was plain with nothing really eye catching. But inside was a different story.

The inside walls were colored in light yellow paint. The floor was made of hard wood and was varnished to a dark red. Various symbols made from steel and Chinese paintings of nature scenes covered the surrounding walls. There were around 10 tables in total inside. Each one of them could seat 4 people. The cash was at the very front of the restaurant and there were always 2 very nice waitresses ready to help behind the desk. 1 usually handled the cash and the other seated the customers. Both of them wore black pants and a red long sleeve button up oriental style shirt. It was the unofficial uniform of the restaurant.

Daniel walked in the front door and was greeted by the 2 female mice behind the counter.

"Welcome to the Dragon Garden." They both said in unison.

"Thank you. How are you two doing today?" Daniel responded with a smile.

"Business is good today." The mouse behind the cash register said. She had a small hair clip near her left ear and was covered in dark grey fur.

"Plenty of nice people came here today, so I'm happy." The other mouse said. She was obviously talking about the amount of tips she and her other waitresses were getting that day. She had a lighter tone of fur then her co-worker.

"That's great. Would a Jake Harken be here right now? I was to meet him here for lunch." Daniel asked as he made his way to the counter.

"Jake Harken... Oh yes the bunny, he's here." Said the mouse without the hair clip. "I'll take you to him right now, follow me." The mouse picked up a menu on her way out from the counter as she guided Daniel through the half filled restaurant to were Jake was sitting. He was enjoying a glass of what looked like soda.

After guiding Daniel to the table the mouse asked Daniel. "Would you like anything to drink before you order?"

"Um... Yes." Daniel said as he pulled a chair out from the table and sat down. "I would love a glass of orange juice please."

"Certainly." The waitress said before placing the menu on the table and walking off towards the kitchen doors nearby.

"Good to see you Daniel, I was starting to think that you weren't going to make it." Jake said as he set his drink upon the table.

"Oh hardy har har, I'm not that unreliable. I may be late a few times now and then. But still, I don't make appointments or promises if I can't keep them."

"That is true. I know you have been working up a storm since Mr. Shozen came back from his vacation a week ago." Jake picked up his glass and took a sip before continuing. "You earned this day off, but you should have gotten more then this. A lot more in my opinion." Jake put his glass back down and let out a small sigh.

"By now we both should know that it's not what one deserves to get. It's what that person receives that maters." Daniel said as he picked up his menu from the table and started to read silently through the list of dishes and drinks they offered.

Jake smiled. "Once again... Too true my friend. Your full of that fancy talk today aren't you?"

"Why thank you. I try to expand my vocabulary quite often." Daniel was still browsing through the menu as he replied to Jake.

"Please stop it for now. I rather have a nice lunch, not a English lesson. I had enough of that stuff in high school and collage thank you very much."

"There is always room to learn more Jake. There is always a new food to try and a better way to do things. The only thing is that most people don't want to try for better tomorrow when they are happy with today."

"That's all find and dandy but your still going to order egg rolls and a bowl of rice aren't you?"

Daniel took a short pause. He then placed the menu back onto the table and said. "Yep."

Jake couldn't help but have a quick chuckle. "And your telling me to try news things?"

"No. Just trying to open your eyes a bit more then what you already see."

More people were coming into the restaurant by now, and another waitress came out from the kitchen and started to help the new customers. She was also a mouse but of a smaller stature then the others with a off white color of fur. The restaurant was now getting a bit loud as well.

"You should go out on the town wile you can. You need to take advantage of this extra time off." Jake said trying to change the subject.

"Yea... I do need to see the town so to speak. It's been a wile since I left my routine. But that's not on the menu tonight. Maybe tomorrow though."

"As long as you get a release Daniel. Even I can see that your pent up harder then a 2 liter bottle of soda falling down an upward escalator." Jake then took a quick sip of his glass as if to evade the recoil from the verbal bombshell he just dropped upon his friend.

Daniel was a bit shocked at Jake's statement. Even though it was slightly true. "...Ok that's just mean. I may be a bit pent up so to speak, But I have been worse before and I'm not the type of guy that goes out and 'unloads' on some random person I met in a bar."

"Yea but when was the last time you had any?" Jake said after putting down his drink.

"Never."

Daniel's statement made Jake jolt in his seat slightly. "Wait... what?" Jake was obviously shocked about this bit of fact about his friend.

"Jake please drop it. I'm fine with it, and it's not like I'm celibate or anything like that. I just don't want to have a one night stand with some person I don't know ok?"

"Ok man, I'll drop it. Sorry, I just thought..."

"I know, I know." Daniel cut Jake off mid-sentence. "Don't worry though. I'm sure I can find a girl friend someday, just not anytime soon." Daniel had a short half hearted laugh after his sentence.

"And if you don't. I'm sure my dearest wife can set you up with one of her nice lady friends... Whether you like it or not heh heh." A small grin grew upon Jakes face.

"No offence Jake but your wife scares me. And I don't like that idea at all."

"You worry to much Daniel. My sweet Roseale would never do anything to hurt you. Well... Purposely that is. But she is concerned about you. So if I were you, I would at least go out on a date with god knows who just to satisfy her curiosity and concern.

Daniel thought about what his friend said for a moment. "I'll take my chances Jake. It's not like she would send a complete psycho or someone dangerous right?"

"...That is true, but I would watch your step though. I live with Roseale and I love her very much. But she still has many friends in high places. And some of them already heard of you." Jake had a slightly darker tone as the end of his last sentence. Like it was a warning that Daniel was already being watched.

"I guess I better be careful then. You never know who will be lurking in the shadows."

Daniel being the more literal type of person didn't get this small hint as well as Jake would have liked. "Don't take it too lightly Daniel. I know a few of my wife's friends. And most of them share a similar sense of twisted humor as her."

"I'll be careful Jake, Thanks for the heads up."

"No problem Daniel. Don't let it run around in your head to much though. It might ruin your apatite."

Soon after Jake ended his sentence the waitress came back and set a glass of orange juice on the table in front of Daniel. "Here is your orange juice. Sorry it took so long. Are you ready to order?"

"Yes I'll have the vegetable soup and Daniel will take his usual egg rolls and rice." Jake said in his normal cheerful voice.

"I should have known." The waitress said as she wrote down the order on a small pad of paper. "Would you like anything else at this time?"

"No I think we'll be ok, thank you." Daniel said to the waitress with a smile.

The waitress then nodded her head to Daniel before heading back into the kitchen to relay the order.

"Let's move on to a better topic Daniel. What do you have planed tonight?"

Daniel thought about his answer for a moment. "I think I'm going to sit back and relax tonight. Wallow in my own imagination and a good book. I bought one a few days ago and haven't got a chance to read it yet."

"That's nice. I can't even remember the last book I read that wasn't work related or an instruction manual."

Time seemed to pass quickly for Daniel and Jake. They had received their order soon and continued a nice civil conversation until both of them were finished with their meal. After they were done they noticed how noisy and crowded the restaurant had actually become wile they ate.

But Daniel didn't care too much. He was in his own little world again. Enjoying the chaos around him. A conversation about legal issues from 2 layers on a table nearby. The happy uplifting tones coming from a group of 3 girls on the other side of the room. The quick taping sounds as the waitress's shoes knocking upon the wooden floor. The collage of different sounds swirled around Daniel like a small cyclone. Chills ran up and down his back as he closed his eyes and took it all in.

"You alright man?" Jake said noticing Daniels odd facial expression. "You're kind of freaking me out right now."

Daniel woke up from his daze before answering Jake. "I'm just enjoying the atmosphere Jake... just enjoying the sounds..."

"Well frankly..." Jake started to say but was interrupted by the alarm on his watch. "Oh it's that time already? Alright then I better pay for my half and get going. Waitress?" Jake called to the passing mouse but she didn't notice him and kept walking into the kitchen. "Oh darn."

"Jake just go, I'll cover your end."

"You sure Daniel?"

"Yea, besides it's not that often I get to have desert after lunch."

Jake wondered what Daniel actually meant, But he decided that getting back to work was more important at the moment. "Alright Daniel, Thanks I owe you one. Bye." Jake double checked that he still had everything he needed on him as he got up to leave.

"You too Jake, say hi to Roseale for me later."

Jake made his way out of the restaurant and headed back to work. Leaving Daniel alone to enjoy the noise and chaos inside the restaurant's walls.

"Did your friend need something?" The waitress said to Daniel as she came back from the kitchen.

"Yes can you put our bills together. And bring me another orange juice? I'll have one more before I go."

"Certainly." The mouse said before she walked off.

Daniel soon when back into his trance. Enjoying the sounds around him as if it was a symphony.

To anyone outside of each conversation. It would seem pointless and simply rude to lessen in, to ease drop on a complete stranger. But Daniel wasn't looking for some awkward conversation between a group of people. Or valuable stock information from some businessmen. All he wanted was the noise to push back the silence, to overpower his own thoughts, and the bitter sweet chaos to encircle him.

Everything moving from somewhere to someplace in a continuous cycle. Daniel received a rush just thinking about all the energy spinning around him every day. It made him feel good to just wash all his thoughts away in the sounds around him. It turned his mind blank and strangely calm. Stopping the thoughts of money and business, media and technology from reeking it's regular warpath through his mind.

Nothing else mattered to him right now. He was warm in the embrace of the sounds around him. The noise of others happiness, joy, sorrow and pain beaming off of everyone around him and fusing together into one solid stream of sound. This stream fueled Daniels apathy. And now that he was inside of it's unrelenting waves. It began to strip away Daniels emotions one by one. Anxiety, fear and anger were quelled first. Followed closely by sorrow and depression. Daniel was happy they were gone. Even if it was only for a few minutes. At least it would be a few minutes of total silence.

Daniel paid his bill and left the Dragon garden after most of the people who came in for lunch had left. He used his usual route home and was in a good mood. Daniel was still calm and peaceful from his trance like state back at the restaurant. But it died down enough for some stray thoughts to get into his mind.

Strange things like, 'what did I have for breakfast this morning.' The odd things that come out of nowhere and leave just as quick.

The walk home was quick and uneventful thankfully. He barely even noticed he was home when he walked through the door. It was a pleasant shock for him honestly. After locking the door behind himself. Daniel went into his bedroom and got out of his suit and left it neatly folded upon his dresser. He only left a pair of boxers on as he left his room to go into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

He was obviously tired, so after Daniel was done in the bathroom he slowly made his way back into his bedroom and fell upon the bed face down. "Gwa..." Was the only thing he could say. The time he spent in the Dragon Garden and the trance like state obviously effected him a lot more then Daniel would have liked. And since Daniel had nothing better to do for a wile. He decided that it was time for a nice long nap. But in all actuality his body just wouldn't allow himself to get back up.

It didn't take long for Daniel to fall into a deep sleep. He moved only slightly to find a better position as he laid out on top of the bed. Breathing slowly in a constant rhythm. Peacefully and silent.

A few hours later Daniel woke up slowly. He felt rejuvenated and restored. He turned his head to look at the clock. It read 3:30 PM. He didn't bother to check the clock when he came in but he knew he somehow that he was asleep for a wile. Probably because his arms and legs were stiff... among other things.

Daniel got up and put on a simple pair of blue jeans and a light green t-shirt. He knew that besides starring at the abyss of a city outside. The only other things he could do was to watch some television, cook something for dinner, read a book, or take a walk outside. After checking himself in a mirror he decided to read a book. And he had just the book.

Daniel was a sci-fi and fantasy fan all his life. He loved the stories of brave warriors fighting off dragons and demons from destroying everything in sight. The stories about great wizards casting spells of great power to save the day. But most of the books Daniel read never gave to much information on the demons or villains except for their strengths and weaknesses in vague detail.

Daniel was curious by nature, it was one of his greatest strengths and weaknesses to be interested in how things work. It did make him highly respected in the business world. But some books shouldn't be opened so lightly.

Daniel bought a book at a small book store down the street from where he lived. It was a book on creatures of lore. Dragons, vampires, pixies and other magical entities that are said to have great power. It was a fairly large book. Filled with so called facts and answers on what they could do as well as other interesting bits of information.

Daniel wasn't worried about Dracula appearing inside of his apartment one a dark and stormy night. But he was interested in the lore. The stories behind the stories. The little things most books skipped or left out.

Daniel had the book in his top drawer where he also kept his undergarments and socks. It was in a big black felt bag on the very left of the drawer.

Daniel opened the drawer and took the book out of the bag. Closed the drawer and made his way to his favorite chair in the living room. He sat down and made himself comfortable in the chair's firm padding and turned the lamp on behind him.

It wasn't long before he started to flip through the pages of his hard covered book. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, just something to pass the time before he made himself something to eat.

The book had many copies of hand drawn pictures and symbols throughout the book. The shopkeeper said that the images came from scribes and historians throughout the ages. Mostly the chapters of vampires, werewolves' and other so called popular mythical creatures had more pictures then those like the pixies or wood elves.

But one chapter stood out in Daniel's eyes for some reason. It was a small chapter near the end of the book. It only was a few pages long and had very few pictures like the rest of the book had.

The vampire chapter had a rather large picture of a man in a cape standing upon a dirt road in a dark forest. The werewolf chapter had a fearsome beast howling from the edge of a cliff at a full moon. Even the wood elves had a picture of a congregation of elves under a gigantic tree that was brightened with magical lights along the branches.

But for the one small part of the book that Daniel stumbled upon. There was only a picture of a dark formed person. A shadow of a being with dark bat like wings that draped around itself like a cape.

This made Daniel very interested. You could tell a vampire by the fangs they held. A werewolf by the fear of the full moon or a strange reaction they had when they came in contact with silver. Elves had pointy ears and a sea serpent... well they lived in the sea. But almost nothing was shown in the picture for this chapter. Nothing but the outline of a being and the wings it had. It was the chapter of the succubus and the incubus, also known as the cubi.

Daniel repositioned himself again trying to get into a nice spot on his chair. Then began to read the small chapter of only a few pages in length.

Most of the information was vague. Nothing of great interest but the powers some say the cubi had access too. Things like lessening to what people around them were thinking, entering a persons dreams and doing whatever they desired and shape shifting were a few abilities they had in their bag of tricks.

The book was very detailed in the testimonies given by villagers who have clamed to have an encounter with a cubi. Each story was different and fairly short. One person somehow escaped the grasp of a cubi, wile in another story the victim surrendered to the cubi and survived without a scratch. Another victim was scared for her life by the cubi's unwavering lust during her stay but was able to escape a few days after her capture. There were also tales of people claming to have seen loved ones get carried into the night by some creature blanketed by dark wings. Some returned, some were never seen again.

The book also told Daniel how they gather energy for their survival. For instance, all they have to do was be near a person to absorb a fairly small amount of energy from them to live upon. If they were near a bunch of people they could block or slow down the flow of energy to them to stop them from receiving serous physical and mental damage. The energy they needed could be considered emotion. Some cubi found anger and pain gave them more energy then joy or lust, wile others were vice versa. All cubi were different. Just like 2 people of the same race could be different, so could they.

But if the cubi really wanted to. One could forcibly drain all the energy from a person leaving their victim basically as a dried husk. But for that to done they would have to weaken their victim to a near trance like state. Then literally suck out the energy right out from them wile weakened.

Daniel read the chapter from start to end. It's didn't take too long, only half an hour. He then closed the book and sat in his chair. Staring at the hard cover of the book as if trying to make sense of the information he just collected.

Someone who could hear your thoughts, change into any form, and live for thousands of years off the energy of the living.

"It's a good thing." Daniel started to say out load. "It's a good thing that these 'cubi' are just a myth."

Daniel put the book on a nearby table and walked to the window overlooking the city. He looked outside at the clouds above the city. Then looked at the people below walking through streets.

Suddenly a sharp cold shiver trailed up slowly from the tip of Daniel's tail, along his spine and stopped just short of his skull. He looked throughout the streets and buildings in view from his window for a few moments. He wasn't trying to find anything like someone with a telescope, but those sharp cold shivers don't just pop up for no good reason.

"Someone is plotting something... I can feel it." Daniel said out loud but only to himself. "It's probably Roseale Harken. Jake's wife loves to mess around with my life..." Daniel let out a soft sigh. "Well at least it's no where near my birthday. So a striper cake probably won't show up at work on Monday."

Daniel took a moment to compose himself before leaving the window and returning his book back into the felt bag in his top dresser drawer. Daniel then went into the living room to turn on the television to an all classical music channel before going to the kitchen to make himself something to eat.

Time went by fast. By now Daniel had eaten two apples and a cheese bun. He decided not to cook anything after finding out that a movie marathon was on. It was just a random space science fiction trilogy with starships and guns that shot lasers. The type where the bad guys have the hero's in a confrontation that has virtually no escape or chance of survival. And somehow the good guys escape by the skin of their teeth.

Each movie was around 2 hours long. And By now Daniel was nearing the ending of the third movie. The clock on the television said 9:55 PM and Daniel was getting a bit tired by now. He usually went to bed at around 9:00 PM to get up at 6:00 AM.

The credits started to roll on the television from the last movie. "Goody, the movie's over." Daniel said.

Daniel often spoke to himself more frequently when he was tired. It was one of the things about him that gave away his state of mind. When ever he was drained of energy or was too board he just couldn't stop the words from flowing out of his mouth. Thankfully most of the time it was a good thing. Some people respect the fact that someone can just say "your talking to much." Or. "Could we please get back on track here?" And not have a second thought about it.

But at the same time it also caused a lot of friction between Daniel and women in general. There's nothing better to darken a date with a health nut then to say something blunt at a restaurant. Something like this...

"I really don't care what type of diet and or workout regiment your on. Why you don't like some of the other diet plans out on the market today or why you can't have most of the things on this menu. Could you please just order something? I actually like to eat and not just talk about food that may or may not be good for me."

That sort of statement would kill a date instantly. And unfortunately Daniel already used it.

Daniel turned off the television and put the cup of water he was sipping on in the sink. He then walked to the bathroom. He wasn't in the mood to take a long shower. He just wanted a quick once over to get some of the sweat out of his fur before heading to bed.

He entered the bathroom and began to take off his clothes and tossed them to the floor. Daniel turned on the water in the bathtub and adjusted the temperature before pulling the shower plunger. After he jumped in Daniel immediately started to clean himself with a bar of soap.

After he was done cleaning himself from head to toe, he took a few moments just to stand in the shower and enjoy the feeling of the warm water enveloping him. He placed his hands on the wall in front of him to keep himself from falling over as he let the warm water flow over his body. He bowed his head as the water massaged his shoulders. The water continued it's journey down caressing the fur upon his back. The flow of water then wrapped around his body near the mid-section as it quickly made it's way down his legs and his tail. Only to be replaced by a seemingly never ending supply of warm water from the shower head.

After a few blissful moments in the center of the shower flow. Daniel turned off the water then grabbed a towel and started to dry himself. He took a few minutes drying himself to make sure he wasn't going to wet the bed sheets with shower water. Then he grabbed his tooth brush and paste and proceeded to clean his teeth quickly. Daniel then gargled a bit of water and cleaned his tooth brush to get of the excess tooth paste before finally finishing with the bathroom and walking into his room. Leaving the clothes he had on lying upon the bathroom floor.

He entered his bedroom and went straight for his bed. He was sleepy but still took his time as he wiggled himself into the bed sheets.

Daniel rested his head upon one of the soft pillows before looking at his clock. The clock read 10:17 PM. But in Daniel's eyes the numbers were already getting blurry. The soft folds of the bed caused Daniel to fully unwind and relax. And soon Daniel forgot the reason why he even bothered to look at the clock. It didn't take long after that for Daniel to fall into a deep and sound sleep.

Daniels alarm wasn't set to go off this morning. It was Saturday so there was no reason to get up early. So in his slumber, Daniel was left undisturbed until abruptly woken up by a pigeon flying head first into the bedroom window.

WAM! "Cooo cooo!" The pigeon called as it flew away.

Slowly Daniel began to wake up. He sat up and started to rub his eyes before he took a glance at his clock. It read 8:46 AM. A few moments later Daniel let out a big yawn wile stretching his arms out. He was a bit drowsy but happy he had a great night's sleep. Even if it was disturbed by a pigeon.

He slowly got out of bed and did a few more stretches. Just enough to snap some of his joints. Daniel made his way to his dresser and picked out some boxers, a pair of black pants with a black belt and a blue t-shirt. 'Nothing to fancy yet.' Was the idea running through Daniel's mind. 'Just something to put on wile I do some errands.'

Daniel had a bit to do today. He had to drop off his dirty dark grey suit at the cleaners. Wash some of his other dirty clothes in the hamper along with the ones left on the bathroom floor. Clean the apartment and do a bit of shopping at the grocery store.

After running through a simple plan in his head. Daniel's stomach growled in hunger. Daniel then made his way to the kitchen to get some breakfast before he started his work.

The same breakfast routine started again. First Daniel grabbed a nice big bowl and the cereal and placed them on the counter. Then the soymilk in the fridge and a spoon from a drawer. Poured the cereal and the milk in the bowl and took a seat on the same stool near the counter and began to eat.

After a few minutes Daniel was done eating. He took his dishes to the sink to be cleaned along with the other dirty dishes that were nearby. It didn't take too long to clean them all, mostly because Daniel wasn't too messy with his meals.

Daniels next job was to clean up the apartment a bit before venturing outside. Change the bed sheets, the vacuuming and wash the tile floors in the kitchen and the bathroom were on his list.

Daniel decided to take care of his bed first. An easy job to do. He walked into his room and whipped the bed sheets off the bed with ease. Daniel then took out a spare set of sheets he stored inside his closet and covered his bed with them. The dirty sheets were placed inside a bag to be cleaned along with his dirty clothes later.

Daniel didn't bother to look at the clock. It would only make things slower. He was on his cleaning spree and didn't want to slow down.

Next was the vacuuming. Daniel took the small vacuum machine he stored in his closet and began to work on his bedroom floor. Both the bedroom and living room were cleaned with ease. They weren't too messy in the first place, but the carpets did look much brighter afterwards.

The title floors were the last thing Daniel needed to clean in his apartment. He took the bucket and a rag from under the kitchen sink and added some soppy water. Then Daniel started to clean the kitchen floor to a shine.

Next was the bathroom floor. He took the dirty clothes on the floor and put them in the hamper finally. The bathroom floor was slightly smaller then the kitchen floor so it didn't take as long to clean.

And finally Daniel's apartment was all clean and tidy according to his standards.

Daniel emptied his bucked of soppy water into the tub. And rinsed out both the bucket and the rag before he put it back under the kitchen sink.

Nothing else in his apartment needed to be done at the moment. So Daniel walked back into his room and took the suit that needed cleaning out of his closet, folded it neatly and placed it in a backpack.

Daniel finally took a glance at the clock as he was zipping up the zipper on the backpack. It read 10:14 AM. "Amazing how time flies by when your busy." Daniel said softly before he got back up and swung the backpack upon his back. Daniel closed the closet door. Picked up his wallet, keys and cell phone from his night stand. Then walked to the front door to put on his shoes. And left the apartment, locking the door behind him.

The day went by fast. Daniel just ran through the entire day doing his chores and other odds and ends he needed to get done. The laundry was done, the suit at the cleaners would be ready on Monday and he picked up a few things at the supermarket as well. He had lunch and dinner in his apartment and was now getting ready for a night out. Even though he wasn't planning on going anywhere in particular.

A night club was out of the question. Daniel found the music was always too loud for his ears to take. Ear plugs didn't work and earmuffs made him look like he was traveling to Siberia. So he tried to stay away from them.

Daniel usually tried to find a bar that wasn't too quiet or violent. One with a bouncer but nothing with a line to get in. Just a place he could relax and get a few drinks.

Daniel had on some black dress pants, a blue t-shirt under a dark blue button up long sleeve shirt. Daniel made sure that he had his cell phone, keys and wallet in his pockets before leaving his room. All that was left for Daniel to do was to put on his shoes. It was nearing 7:00 PM and Daniel wanted to find a nice place to relax before it got to dark.

He made his way to the front door to put on his shoes. Daniel took ample time to tie each one. Making sure the knots were not going to come undone if he needed to run for whatever reason. After he finished tying up the laces, he was ready to face the night.

Daniel only left one light on in the apartment. A small lamp near his favorite chair so it wouldn't be so dark when he came home.

Daniel opened the door to his apartment when something caught him off guard. The air was sweetened by a perfume. It hit Daniel's nose softly, almost lulling him into a state of serenity by the first sniff.

Suddenly something caught the corner of Daniel's left eye. But it was too late to react now. A hand holding in a small cloth quickly covered Daniels mouth and nose. Daniel let out a loud squeak in surprise. But it only served to empty his lungs and forced him to bereave through the cloth.

Daniel tried to scurry back into his apartment after knocking the rag away from his face. But his eyes were quickly getting heavy, his vision narrowing and his heart was slowing down. He barely made it into his apartment by stumbling backwards through his doorway. But he wasn't safe... because the door was still open.

Daniel fell upon the floor with a small thump. He turned to see who attacked him. The assailant now stood in the doorway facing poor Daniel lying on the floor. But the light flowing to the doorway was dim. And Daniel couldn't make out his or her face.

The figure slowly walked towards Daniel. Step by step the figure came into view and into the light. But it did no use to Daniel if he or she was directly in front of the lamp. His vision was getting blurry as the figure grew closer.

It wasn't too long until the figure was directly overtop of Daniel. The now week and frightened mouse that laid still upon the floor. The figure kneeled down to Daniel and used their hand to caresses his cheek lightly.

Daniel couldn't say a word. He was drained of energy from whatever was in that rag. And soon Daniel resistance towards it fell, he just couldn't fight it any longer. And he finally closed his eyes and fell asleep.

The figure waved it's hand towards the doorway. And almost immediately after the door quietly shut and locked. "Don't worry little one." The figure said with a female voice. "This will be a night to remember... I promise."

She then waved her hand at the lit lamp in the living room. And with a single click of it's switch the entire apartment was dark. The only light present in the apartment now was from the setting sun passing through the windows.

She then picked up the unconscious mouse carefully with both arms. Almost cradling him as she walked into his bedroom and laid him gently upon his bed. "Rest well Daniel. And when you awake... Heh heh... We will find out how sensitive you really are."

The figure then slowly bent down and kissed Daniel's forehead gently. She then left the bedroom to find the bathroom. She needed to prepare herself for the events to come.

A few hours past before Daniel awoke from his slumber. Slowly his eyes opened to find himself in a dark room. The curtains were pulled so only a few small beams of moon light shown through the windows. The small amount of light gave the room a aura of serenity and peace.

Daniel soon realized that he was in his own bedroom. He slowly tried to move from his bed only to find that his arms would not respond. Daniel also heard the rattling of a chain as he tried to move his arms. He slowly tilted his head over to his right arm to find that he was chained to the bed with handcuffs. He then looked to his left and found the same had been done to his left arm as well.

The room had a strange sent to it that was never there before. It smelled like vanilla perfume. It was fairly faint but still noticeable in the air. The bed sheets were covering Daniel up to his abdomen. He could tell just by moving his body slightly that he didn't have anything on underneath the covers. He also noticed that his legs were free from any bindings. Not that it mattered anyways, he was still chained to a bed. Helpless and alone, but not for long.

"I see you woken up my dear." A voice called from just outside the doorway. "I hope you had a good rest. I wouldn't want you to be tired... Well at least not until I'm done with you."

Daniel was still a bit dazed. He heard the voice call to him, and he knew what was going on. But he couldn't believe that anything like this could happen to him.

"W-what are you going to do?" Daniel stuttered with his words. He was getting a bit nervous by this unseen character that had him at her mercy.

The dim light in the room made her look like a shadow as she slowly walked into the room. Prolonging each step she took, as if savoring the moment. She purposely dragged her feet along the carpet floor making low a rubbing sound with each step. The sound was quite low in volume, but for someone with big ears like Daniel. The sound was loud enough to know where each step was coming from.

Daniel traced her movements in his mind. Closer and closer she creped until she was at the very end of his bed. He couldn't she her face clearly, but he knew that she was smiling. Her bright white teeth glared slightly in the dim light surrounding the room. "It's too bad you didn't want to come out and play last night. I was waiting outside your window hoping you were going to use your day off for more then a bit of reading and watching some television."

These words obviously made Daniel frightened. "You were spying on me? Why?" Daniel responded quietly.

"Hmm... I guess you could call me an admirer of your work, your skill, your commitment to yourself to never lower your standards just to get a release." The female said as she trailed her left index finger back and forth along the sheets near edge of the bed. "But you have nothing to fear from me. I also understand that those words must mean very little to your right now. If I was in your situation, I would be frightened as well."

Daniel wiggled his body a little closer towards the head of the bed. He only gained a inch or two away from the female. The female let out a small laugh. "How cute. Trying to get away from me, even when I already told you I wasn't going to hurt you." She took a moment just to look at Daniel. Just to watch his tail snake back and forth under the sheets wildly.

"When I'm done with you. The only thing that will be broken is the fear you have of me." She then walked around to Daniel's left side still tracing her finger along the bed sheets.

"W-wait I.." Daniel started to say but was interrupted by the female quickly placing a finger gently upon his lips. "Don't worry Daniel. I promise I'm not going to hurt you. And I'm sure you will enjoy what I have in store for you my little mousey." She said softly followed by a small giggle.

She slowly removed her finger from his lips as she slowly pulled the sheets off of Daniel, revealing him to the dim light in the room. Daniel was shaking slightly all over. He was obviously expecting the worse. His mind was already running wild with thoughts of what she could do to him.

After she dropped the covers on the floor she picked up something from under the bed. She walked back towards the end of the bed and quickly used what looked like handcuffs on Daniels ankles. Locking them together before Daniel could even react.

"We wouldn't want you to start kicking wildly into the air now do we?" She said as she held the chain between Daniel's ankles with her left hand.

"W-what are you going to do?" Daniel said as he struggled slightly with the new set of handcuffs around his ankles.

The female sat down upon the end of the bed still holding the chain between Daniels ankles. She used her right hand and traced Daniels left foot with the tips of her fingers. Upward she traced from his heel towards his toes slowly and carefully.

Daniel let out a small squeak in surprise. He didn't expect to be touched so softly upon the most sensitive spots on his foot.

She giggled. "Feels odd at first doesn't it? You'll get used to it... eventually." She slowly guided her fingers around the soft foot pads upon Daniels foot. She took a slightly different path each time she went up and down his foot. Daniel was struggling to move his feet from her grasp. To stop the gentle teasing she was placing upon his feet. But the females grip upon the chain was too strong for Daniel to get away from her fingers.

The tickling continued and slowly as time passed Daniel started to relax and actually enjoy the sensations waving through his body. He let out a small yet resisted laugh every so often, along with the odd sharp squeak and moan. Daniel continued to try and resist her control, but each time with no avail. Pushing and pulling, twisting and turning. Anything he could do to try and evade the teasing fingers... and all in vain.

The female then held the chain with her right hand and started the same process on Daniels right foot. Her fingers traced the curves of his foot slowly and carefully just like with the other foot. The resistance from Daniel was slowly becoming nothing more then a gentle wiggle instead of the near violent pushing and pulling he had done before. By now a faint smile grew upon Daniels face. And the sharp squeaks he called out were now all but completely silenced.

Daniel's resistance was continuing to fall. Slowly but surely he was becoming comfortable with her touch. The giggles she made every now and then. And soon he was even becoming aroused by her touch.

His member grew bit by bit until it was extended to it's limit. "Getting excited aren't you? Well I'm sorry to disappoint you but I have little intention to end this night so soon. It's only been..." The female said as she looked at the clock near Daniels bed. "20 minutes? My my... time sure flies when your having fun, doesn't it?"

She looked back towards Daniels now blissful face. Daniel felt a bit uneasy as their eyes met in the dim light.

"Still feeling a little nervous? It's perfectly normal, but please try and relax and let me have my fun. It's not every day that I find someone who is as sensitive as you." As she said those words her hands left Daniels feet and she slowly crawled closer to the head of the bed and overtop of Daniel. She positioned herself to sit upon Daniels legs just a bit high of his knees.

The female gently caressed Daniels sides just above the hips. Slowly she used her fingertips to stroke up and down through the fur covering his sensitive skin. Daniels eyes shut tightly. The assault of such loving affection in such a sensitive place was too intense for the little mouse to take. Pleasurable chills ran through Daniels body like a cool breeze.

Daniel started to shiver in pleasure uncontrollably. His body subconsciously trying to wiggle away from the teasing fingers upon his sides. Her fingers started to move slower, prolonging the shivers as they traveled throughout Daniels body. Daniel moaned loudly as he arched his back in one last act of resistance. And as he arched his back towards the ceiling the females fingers stopped.

Daniel fell back down upon the bed panting from the rush of energy still flowing throughout his body. His mind was as blank as a white canvas. Daniel slowly regained his breath after a few moments. He opened his eyes to see the female figure still overtop of him. She still looked like a shadow, only outlined by the few beams of moon light that flowed into the room. Her lovely curves and fluffy tail shimmered like they were laced with ice crystals in the soft light.

The female figure crawled up even closer to Daniel till they were face to face. She then lightly held the tips of Daniels blushing ears with her thumb and index fingers. She began pinching and rubbing his ears lightly trying to snap Daniel out of his blissful trance.

When their eyes met she released the pressure on his ears and cupped her hands around Daniels warm cheeks before she started to speak. "Did you enjoy that?" she said softly to him. "Well? Did you?"

"Y-yes. I did..." Daniel said still dazed but loving every minute of it.

"Do you want to play with me like this again?"

"Yes..." Daniel said lost in the moment.

"Good. Then will you agree to be mine? And whenever I desire companionship. You will allow yourself to be my little victim? And maybe someday... more?"

Daniel paused for a moment before answering. "Yes." Lost in her bright and deep purple eyes that seemed to almost glow in the dim lighting. Nothing else mattered to Daniel but this feeling of warmth and affection she had placed upon him.

"Good boy." The female said with a soft and loving tone as the tips of her teeth shined in the dim light. "But the night isn't over for you my little mousey. I can't just let you go to bed without a proper happy ending. So please, try and stay up a little longer."

Daniel gave a slight nod in agreement to her. She then leaned over and picked up a small little object from the night stand on her left side. It was a condom. The female repositioned herself to sit once again upon Daniels legs. She opened the small package and rolled the condom upon Daniels hard member.

After the condom was in place, she looked over Daniels body. He was almost perfectly still except for the slow rising and falling of his chest and his tail wiggling over the bed covers. "Hmm..." She hummed. "I wonder if I need these cuffs anymore? You do look... quite willing. Don't you agree?"

Daniel swallowed the saliva building up in his mouth. "Yes" he responded.

"Yes? Yes to what?" She said softly back to him.

"I-I won't run" He said softly.

"Mmmm... That just what I wanted to hear." She said as she moved from her seat upon Daniels legs to standing beside Daniels right side. She picked up a small set of keys from the nightstand and unlocked the handcuffs one by one. First Daniels right hand was freed. She then crawled over top of Daniel to unlock his left hand. She then turned around and crawled backwards on all fours to get the last set of cuffs on his ankles. She took ample time to unlock them to let Daniel enjoy the scent of her moist lips that were oh so close to his nose.

Daniel lied still upon the bed waiting for her to do what she pleased. His breathing was calm and relaxed. His eyes half open, just starting at the intruder that he now welcomed into his home full heartedly.

She turned around and crawled up his body until they were face to face once again. She sat lightly upon Daniel abdomen, just north of his pole. She leaned forward just enough for her hands to touch the tips of Daniels ears. Daniel let out a small squeak quickly followed by a moan of pleasure as she continued to rub his ears slowly.

By each passing second Daniel became more and more entranced by her. He was turned from a scared little mouse, into a willing playmate in such a short amount of time. She knew how to touch, to tease, to talk and most of all. She knew how much he enjoyed being controlled by her at the moment. She could hear it in his moan.

She stopped rubbing his ears after a few minutes. Then positioned herself so her opening was just overtop of Daniels now throbbing member. "Are you ready my little mousey?" she said as she teased the tip of his shaft with her moist lips.

"Yes..." Daniel said slowly as he closed his eyes.

The female smiled as she lowered herself slowly onto Daniels hard shaft. Slowly his member was being engulfed by her moist tunnel. She breathed in deeply as she reached the base of his shaft. Daniels eye lids tightened as her tunnel quivered around Daniels sensitive shaft.

The female slowly rose back up just a little bit before slowly traveling back down his shaft again. Then again, and again. Slowly but increasing the amount of space she rose up until she was almost pulling off of his shaft.

Daniel slowly was beginning to feel a tingle near the base of his spine after a few minutes. He was close, so very close to his release. Daniel let out another small squeak as he griped the bed sides trying to hold back.

The female saw Daniels attempt to hold it in all to clearly. "Don't hold back Daniel." She said. "Let it out. This night is all about you... I already have what I wanted."

And with those words said she quickened the pace. Up and down until Daniels entire body turned into a live wire. The pleasurable chill that ran through his spine enveloped his body. His hands let go of the bed sides and his eyes widened. His tail and legs became still and straight. His back arched and finally his member pulsated as he released his seed.

It was too much for the little mouse to take. As soon as Daniel's back hit the bed he started to fall unconscious. But before he did, he heard his new companion speak. "I will see you again soon Daniel. Please try and relax tomorrow... Monday will be a very exciting day for you my little mousey..." And with that, Daniel fell asleep.

The sun was shinning through the window in Daniels room. Daniel was laying in his bed tucked in tightly. He was breathing slowly with a slight smile upon his face. Every now and then he slightly wiggled under the covers. Blissfully asleep and unaware of the things around him... until.

WAM! "Cooo cooo!" A pigeon called out as it rammed into Daniels window.

Daniel woke up instantly by the sound. His eyes opened up wide as he faced the window just in time to see the shadow of the bird fly away through the curtains.

He opened his mouth and let out a great big yawn before pulling the covers off himself. He felt drained of energy and slightly weakened. It was when he tried to stand up, that he started to remember what had happened last night.

"Was it all just a dream? No, it can't be..."

Daniel shook his head. He couldn't remember to much of last nights events. Just fragments of images and sounds came to him.

'Maybe a shower could clear my mind a bit.' Daniel thought as he walked to the washroom wearing nothing but his fur. He turned on the taps, pulled the plunger and jumped into the warm running water flowing from the shower head.

It only took a few moments after he started to wash himself when he saw them. A set of dog tags hanging from the shower head and a note taped on the wall.

Daniel pulled the note off the wall to read it. It said... "Please wear these until we meet again."

It took a few moments for it to sink into Daniels mind. The water was beating upon his chest and soaking the note Daniel was staring into. The bar of soap in his other hand slipped from his grasp. It was when the bar hit the bottom of the tub when Daniel snapped back into reality. He then reached up to inspect the tags hanging from the shower head. He had to use the lip of the tub to be in reach of the tags.

After he had the tags and was standing safely in the center of the tub again, he inspected the tags carefully. The tags read...

"Willing"

The word was engraved across both tags. Daniel looked at them as if trying to make sense out of what happened last night. But with no avail.

He wasn't afraid though. Sure that lady knocked him unconscious, handcuffed him to his own bed and teased him sexually until he was ready to make love to her. But he wasn't frightened somehow. She could have done many horrible and cruel things to him... but she didn't.

Daniel hung the dog tags around his neck. And smile grew upon his face as a sense of relief washed over him along with the shower water still beating upon his chest.

"I wonder..." Daniel started to say out loud. "I wonder what will happen next."

Just near a busy public park across from a small coffee shop a limo pulled up to the curve. The driver got out of the limo and opened the back passenger side door for a female midnight black furred squirrel dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a black button up long sleeve shirt. She seemingly came out of thin air and appeared in the middle of the park the moment after the limo arrived.

After she was just a few feet from the limo the driver asked the lady. "Why is it that you ask me to drop you off here some nights, and then pick you up in the morning? It's not like I can't drive you where you need to go Ms. Curen. The streets aren't safe at night."

Ms. Curen responded. "Well... There are some places where I don't want to be seen with a limo, body guards or money. And besides, I can take care of myself... I've done this sort of thing for a lot longer then you could ever know."

Ms. Curen then entered the limo and the driver shut the door behind her before returning to the drivers seat.

But as the driver was turning on the engine Ms. Curen asked herself out loud. "I wonder... I wonder what will happen on Monday." A slight grin grew upon her face as the limo pulled away from the curve and into the street.
