Raz surveyed the crowd-it was packed tonight. He smiled- Foxxy's debut onstage would be well attended. He alone had attended her rehearsals and was eager to see how the crowd reacted to her performance.

The next performer began a fan dance, and Raz went to escort Foxxy to the stage entrance, it was almost time.

When he knocked on her door, it flew wide and and a voice inside wailed "Razzie help me!" Smiling he went inside and closed the door behind him. The sight before him made him smile wider. Most of the time, she was poised and polished, but once in a while... well once in a while she was all a flutter, completely unglued. He loved it. Foxxy was tucking her hair up into a velvet-riding helmet. She was wearing vrry tight riding pants, he was not sure how they went on as they appeared to have been painted on. Her calves were encased in shiny black leather boots. Over her slender form she wore a red jacket with a black velvet collar and tucked into a pocket he could see white gloves. Yes, the Fox was dressed for a hunt. Even in her costume, Foxxy chose the offbeat. Her hair again escaped from the helmet and she sighed. Raz gently pushed her hands away and finished the job himself expertly turning it and sliding the hat over the top to secure it. Then he put his vulpine chin on her shoulder and ran his paws down her arms, their fingers interlocking at her paws. He looked at them together in the mirror and she met his eyes, smiling. He could feel her relax against him.

"You have practiced every day for weeks. The entire thing is perfect down to the last whisker. You will shine." He smiled softly.

"Come on, Foxxy, break a leg."

Raz put his arm over her shoulder and guided her down the hall to the stagedoor. They watched a peacock dancing, very handsome in green feathers. When his fan dance was finished, Raz nudged Foxxy.

She looked out over the crowd and for a single panicked moment she could NOT could NOT do it. She spun around on her heel to walk away, but there was Raz, his eyes shining for her. She kissed him full on the lips and whispered "For Luck", and strode to centerstage, to began her performance.

Wof, Skunk, and Nay all sat at their usual table, the dice clicking between them. They had watched the peacock briefly and returned to their chat, adding Kane as he came and went on his rounds of the building. When the music began, Nay remarked without looking up "That is new."

Wof replied "no is old, it sounds like Elvis."

Skunk sat with his beer half way to his lips watching a small red fox- their Foxxy! dance across the stage. The Elvis song was "Hound Dog" and there was Foxxy, dressed for a hunt, moving to the music. Slowly The other two realized he was staring and turned to look as well. Her riding helmet came off first, her hair tumbling down around her. Every pair of eyes in the lounge watched and many whistled. She slowly removed one glove and tossed it to Raz backstage. Good Goddess, was she going to strip? They looked at each other. Wof picked up his cellphone and called Kane.

"You better get in here"

"Yea I am at the door."

Nay watched her friend mesmerize the audience. She narrowed her eyes. Foxxy was dancing flawlessly to the room, but her words were aimed at a human male who has pushed his way to the edge of the stage. She took the cell from Wof's hand. "Kane we need you down front." She started working her way toward the stage and her friend.

"yea"

By now, Skunk and Wof were moving too. Raz watched Foxxy from the stage right, ready to grab her if need be.

The human male was big by crowd standards, let alone human ones. He was 6'6 and muscular, with thick arms like tree trunks. Dressed in jeans and a tshirt, he looked like a bouncer. His thick hair fell past his ears and in his eyes, not short enough to be tidy, not long enough to be sensual. If he had smiled, he would have been attractive. Scowling, he looked menacing.

Foxxy continued to dance.

Both gloves off, her paws went to her jacket buttons. As she danced, she ever so slowly undid them, one by one. Twirling and moving, when it was unbuttoned she danced with it loose around her, then spun around, back to the audience. She slowly lowered the jacket to reveal her smooth foxxy shoulders. She shimmied and slid the jacket back up her arms. As the song ended she pointed directly at the human male, now visible snarling and sang the last two lines of the song with Elvis~

"You ain't never caught a rabbit, and you ain't no friend of mine!"

The human snarled and pulled himself up onto the stage, while Foxxy took her bows and blew kisses to the audience. Her friends made a loose circle around the pair. Foxxy looked at the male.

"You plan to do this here? How unlike you, Ethan."

"You bitch!"

Foxxy smiled slowly, allowing all that she was to show in her eyes. She nodded softly and with pride "uhHUH"

The male looked puzzled. This was not how she was supposed to behave. Foxxy walked closer to him, safe in the circle of her friends, safe in the arms of her Goddess, embraced by her Fox.

"This is MY place Ethan you have no business here, none at all. You have no place in my life, no place in my heart, no place in my soul. From this day forth, you cease to have any power over me. I take back that which I can, and I set free that which I cannot."

Ethan laughed, a curt hard sound. "I have told you before, you will never"

She cut him off midsentance "I already have. So mote it be."

With that, Foxxy turned to her friends, the group walked away leaving the human alone on the stage.
