This story is in dedication to my favourite pairing that I had created a while back and am now posting a story based on it. If you are a fan of Avatar The Last Airbender this story might be for you. Anyway this about my character Takoda who is a wolf winged wolf to be correct who has a crush on an old friend and circus acrobat is what she use to be he even use to be her partner. Now this fic is still in progress but I welcome feedback.

It starts off on Kyoshi Island

Ty Lee, her brown eyes sparkling with joy, felt the amazing sensation of euphoria as her fellow Kyoshi Warriors applauded. The former acrobat had just taught them another chi-blocking move -- a skill that had been unfamiliar to all of them, at least until she had joined their elite group. "Thank-you!" Ty then excalimed, smiling as she took a bow. "It was nothing really." Her humble words were somewhat superficial. The Kyoshi Warrior, she wasn't a snob or anything like that... Just proud of her abilities. And there wasn't anything wrong with that. Right?

Zuko slammed two frustrated fists onto his desk. It shuddered slightly with the tremendous impact. The young Fire Lord had recently sent a small, peaceful troop to one of the Fire Nation colonies, nicely requesting for them to stop participating in disputes with the local Earth Kingdom citizens.

His plea had ended up with the whole group being scorched to cinders. Now, now Zuko had to handle the consequences. Angry, grieving relatives were calling for blood. The Earth Kingdom was frowning upon his 'lack of control' of his people. And the colony, the colony was nonchalant, pretending that the whole ordeal had never happened.

He sighed. In a time like this, the seventeen-year old wondered what his father would do.

Katara, as she hummed along to the tune of "Secret Tunnel", made preparations for dinner. Aang was out giving his daily lesson to the Air Acolytes, a small class of highly dedicated people who wanted to learn Air Nomad ways. Her boyfriend, she enjoyed teaching them, and she enjoyed watching him do so. Aang, his whole mien became more joyful when he talked about his people... It made him appear just as he really was; a thirteen-year old kid.

Meanwhile in the earth nation..

"KEEP YOUR KNEES HIGH!!!!!!!!!" Toph yelled as each 13 year old struggled to keep the giant boulder on their backs. Eventually, each of them fell, leaving Toph disappointed. "This is just as depressing as Aang's training." Toph mumbled to herself. "GET UP AGAIN!!!!!!!" She then yelled. "But Toph-" Kiyu started to complain, "That's SIFU TOPH to you." Toph told her. "S-Sifu Toph, we're tried! We've been doing this all day!" Kiyu complained. "Well then, the better you get it done THE FASTER YOU CAN TAKE A BREAK!" Toph yelled as the students got back up.

Well anyway back to my home town or at least where I was raised for a short time the fire nation with Fire Lord Zuko and Lady Mai.

Takoda jumped slightly at Zuko's pounding fists upon the desk" Zuko with all do respect my friend you have to calm down I wasn't suppose to tell you this yet but seeing as your in a bad mood I figured I'd tell you guess what someone is having a party for great princess Yue in Katara's home land and we've all been invited.. and as for the council just explain that this is giving them a chance to get to know you better so that the nations can see the new fire lord is not capable of war" He said gently though merely using this as an excuse to see his friend" Come on you need a break from all this paper work anyway"

Zuko gave an elongated sigh. "I don't have time for a stupid party," he said as he clutched the edge of his desk tightly. "The colonies and the Earth Kingdom are at it again... I can't leave them unattended." The premature lines on his forehead crinckled. As much as he wanted to visit with his old friends again, his 'wife', the Fire Nation came first. "And don't you dare tell Uncle I've been overworking myself again." His golden eyes were boring into Takoda's. "He'd insist on sending me to a spa."

Takoda frowned" Well your not staying look your work will be here when you get back you'll see" He said tilting his head curiously" Come on you need a break the earth colonies aren't going to leave for a little while so lets go to the southern water tribe please please or I will go get Mai and I know if anyone can convince you she can" He said with a grin" Or I can always tell Iroh your over working and you'll have to go to a spa where people are prodding and trying to make you relax but only making you more uncomfortable.."

Zuko groaned and cradled his head in his hands. They soon fell to his sides with resignation. "Fine. I'll go to the Water Tribe... Happy now?"

Takoda grinned wildly" Yeah!" He shouted but quickly quieted down" Um good I will be sure to tell the maids to pack your things" He said before scurrying out of the room.

Meanwhile Mai seemed to be watching in the background" He seems really eager to go doesn't he..?" She said before approaching Zuko" I hadn't seen him this excited since we all went to ember island." She mumbled uninterested.

Zuko nodded, remembering their last Gaang reunion. Ty Lee and the other Kyoshi Warriors had even shown up. "Yeah." he replied, sounding equally dispassionate. "I guess."

Mai gently placed a hand on his shoulder" Maybe this break will do you some good you've been over working yourself a lot lately maybe this will be nice.. mind you I am not looking forward to going to some place cold its probably nice to get into a refreshing new atmosphere" She said though it sounded rather dull in her tone.

Takoda ran towards the maid's room" Okay ladies Fire Lord Zuko and Fire Lady Mai are invited to a celebration to the southern water tribe he requests that you should pack his things please and thank you" The maids nodded and made they're way towards they're rooms to pack they're bags. Takoda made sure no one was around as he let out a loud howl and flew up to the ceiling and shouted out with joy upon hanging with his friends.

--back at Kyoshi-- Ty Lee, after playing with a few kids who were resident to the island, made her way back to the miniature house she had bought with her savings. It was a cozy, little thing with two rooms; a sleeping place and a living room with a kitchen built into it. The fifteen-year old was pleased with it, she mused, as she entered the small abode. "Miss Ty Lee! Miss Ty Lee!"

Her hand, which had been about to push the door closed, stopped when her eyes met those of a small, mostly toothless little boy, running down the long path to her house. In his hand was a blue envelope. Once he was closer, the girl could make out the Water Tribe emblem on it. She gave Truffles, for that was his name, a wide grin. "Hiya!"

"Ello! I've gots a letter for you, Miss." he said, handing the thing over. Ty Lee accepted it gratefully.

"Oooh, I wonder who it's from."

The boy shrugged. "I dunno. I was just told to deliver it." He then scurried off.

Ty Lee let out a long squeal of excitement. There was a party at the Southern Water Tribe, and she was invited! The best part was that the whole group would be there, and even new friends she had yet to meet. To clarify, the girl never used the word strangers... For strangers, they were just friends she had not met yet. The thought made her smile.

--back at the earth nation--

"Okay, now I am going for a little family reunion, and you guys STAY HERE. No escaping, and no laziness. Understood?!" Toph asked/yelled as the three 13 year olds frantically nodded their heads. "Good." Toph nodded as she walked out the door.

-- Arriving at the South Pole--

Ty Lee felt a surge of excitement course through her as the vessel she was riding in, finally, docked itself into the Southern Water Tribe's icy harbor. Katara, who was wrapped in a thick parka, waved. The Kyoshi Warrior waved back. She then jumped down onto the ice. It shifted slightly with her unexpected impact. "Katara!" the girl squealed before enveloping her friend with a hug.

Katara returned it with a little less vigor -- obviously. No one poured vitality like Ty Lee.

Takoda looked back at them" oh hush up Zuko were already there look" He said looking ahead seeing the southern water tribe in view. Takoda being excited as he was quickly took off towards the water tribe without much of a word.

Mai watched and shook her head" He's getting even more impatient then you and that's saying something" She said softly with a small cocky grin on her face though it rarely showed.

Zuko shook his head, his shaggy locks swinging as he did so. "Something's up with Takoda." The boat pulled into one of the nearest docks. "Something I feel we'll find out soon." There was a lot of ambiguity in his tone.

Mai shrugged unaffected by this new attitude" it is different of him to be so happy even for him you'd think after the death of an old friend of his he'd be a little more remorseful" She said sounding very confused" Well I suppose your right we will find out eventually."

Zuko, his golden eyes distant, nodded. "Yeah."

Sokka was extremely eager to return to his home. He couldn't wait to see his less adapted friends just how cold his and and his sisters home really was, pretty much meaning they would all freeze to death. Him and Aang were on Appa planning on picking up Toph. "You're gonna freeze." Sokka told Aang. "Last time, it was Spring, and yes it was freezing, but winter is wayyy worse at the South Pole."

"Well, this time, I have Katara." Aang grinned, turning to the Water Tribe warrior.

"Okay, MAJOR OOGIES." Sokka whined, cringing in disgust.

"Welcome to the Southern Water Tribe." Katara said as she simultaneously released the pink clad teenager, who was observing the icy location with wide eyes. The waterbender smiled. Almost all of their visitors had the same reaction.

"Hmm," Ty Lee began, a thoughful expression replacing her awestruck one, "this place it's so, so, what's the word?"

"Icy?" she suggested as she began to walk back towards her igloo. Ty Lee followed.

"Yes," the acrobat exclaimed as she clapped once, "icy!

Katara led Ty Lee to her igloo. It was medium-sized place, perfect for her, and maybe a couple of visitors. This time around, Ty Lee, Mai, Toph, and probably Suki would be staying with her. She could hardly wait.

"Ooh," Ty Lee said as they entered the abode. "You have a nice place, Katara!"

The Water Tribe girl smiled. "Thanks. It's nothing really."

"Don't be silly. It's very comfortable looking."

The girl's grin widened. The Kyoshi Warrior had that effect on people.

Takoda landed down near by the igloo and stepped inside" Hello" He said gently spotting Ty Lee and Katara not far off" Ladies" He stated stepping inside and quickly dashing towards Ty Lee and jumped on her playfully" Long time no see!" he stated rather excited.

Ty Lee, who had been knocked over by the force of Takoda's playful assault, smiled widely before wrapping her long arms around his bulky furred neck. "Takoda!" she then squealed, her voice, as always, full of spark and optimism. "Where've you been all of my life?" It had been awhile since she had seen her old friend. And honest to goodness, she had missed him dearly. The two had been inseparable in their earlier years. Sometimes, the acrobat had stayed up late, worrying about the winged wolf. Other times, her worry had slipped into the day, making her smile less brighter than usual. Takoda was her best friend. Nothing could ever change that.

Takoda smiled brightly" Funny I was going to ask you the same question.. how's life been on you not to stressful I hope though from the looks of it you seem bright as ever" He said playfully" I'm glad to see your doing good though sorry I couldn't keep in touch very much Zuko has been stressing out about the restoration movement you should see how hard it was to get him to come here" He stated rolling his eyes over the fire bender's stubbornness truth was he was just as excited to spend time with Ty Lee if not more. He had recently discovered his feelings for the young acrobat during the prison break but he never told anyone he felt no one would understand due to the huge differences between them.

"Great," she replied before pushing Takoda off her chest so she could sit up. This was when she noticed something. "Your aura is brighter than usual," Ty Lee said, somewhat quizzically. Usually, whenever the two greeted one another, even after being separated for a certain amount of time, the wolf's aura was contained, controlled, neutral, as if he were fighting his true feelings. The Kyoshi Warrior had long ago observed this, but had never said anything... It wasn't her place.

Takoda chuckled at her statement" maybe thats because I am near such an amazing friend" He said though it pained him to use such words" Oh right almost forgot Zuko and Mai's ships are approaching the docks" he said looking over at Katara" Maybe we should go greet them and then perhaps we can catch up some more" He suggested. Takoda knew better then to get in the way of Ty Lee and her aura reading but he could not help how he felt he was hoping that she would not find out not for a long time anyway. He frowned slightly thinking to himself what would she think would she be able to accept it or shun him for it. How was he to know unless he asked but even he knew better then to ask Ty Lee such a question without giving it away that he had feelings for her. He shook his head at the mere thought, no he could not lose another friend not for matters of the heart no matter how badly he wanted to know.

Katara nodded, her blue eyes brightening slightly at the sight of seeing her Fire Nation friends. Zuko owed her a bag of Fire Flakes anyway. "I'm ready whenever you guys are."

Ty Lee, enlightened at the prospect of seeing her old childhood companions, was already out the door.

"What was that?" Zuko asked, trailing closely behind her. A grumpy expression existed on his pale features. He hated the cold, hated it with a fervent passion. He also hated headaches... And boy what a headache he got when Ty Lee's peppy voice entered his ears. "ZUKO! MAI!"

Mai flinched slightly at the loud scream of Ty Lee's peppy voice" I was saying that the meetings in the fire nation we go to are almost as bad as sitting in a ship all day almost" She stated before seeing Ty Lee run towards them.

Zuko's face darkened. "I think I know something even worse than both of those things combined." It wasn't that the Fire Lord hated Ty Lee. He in fact, loved her like a little sister. But sometimes, her perpetual optimism got to him, especially when he was in a bad mood.

The acrobat, finding running boring halfway to the couple, began to cartwheel. She stopped when she was right in front of them. "Mai, Zuko! It's so good to see you two again!" She hugged them both, letting go only after a few seconds. "I've missed you guys!"

Mai glared at Zuko and whacked him upside the head" If it wasn't for her I would not be here" She mumbled before getting an unexpected hug though she should have expected this much from the young girl. Mai sighed but hugged her back" Its nice to see you as well Ty Lee" Its been awhile you look well."

Takoda easily made it to Ty Lee's side in mere seconds.

"Thanks," she replied, her grin, if possible, widening. "You as well... Your aura is still slightly gray though. And yours Zuko," she turned to the shaggy haired boy, "is just glowing with anger. What's wrong?"

Zuko gave a noncommital grunt. "Nothing."

Takoda snorted" Nothing yeah right this guy's been angry for a week trying to figure out the restoration movement project." He said rolling his eyes" You need to relax Zuko" He said to the fire lord though he doubted it would do much good.

Mai huffed" Zuko wouldn't know relaxing if it bit him in the-" She was cut off by Takoda" Okay! lets do something else shall we the party isn't going to start till tonight so lets go settle down and try and have a good time okay."

Zuko sighed. "Whatever." He knew he was acting childish, sulking like such. But he felt like doing so.

Ty Lee nodded, and opened her mouth to speak, but someone interrupted. A boy.

He was tall in stature, a nice 6'3 if Ty had to guess. His complexion was tan, typical of Water Tribe residents. His eyes however, were different than most of his ethnicity. They were stormy gray. "Hello Miss," he said, grinning. There was a certain cockiness to his voice. "I'm Kitvar."

What is this..? A new boy has come up all ready sorry for the long chapter people I wasn't sure where to stop it so here will be better then no where let me know what you think of it. Will Takoda get jealous well you have to wait and see.
