Intervention, Chapter 1

He was always different. That's what everyone said. He never choose this life, but was born into it. He hated that. Hated that he never had a choice. That he'd someday have to run one of the world's largest arms companies. That he was to blame, most of the time, for thousands of people's deaths. That he didn't have a choice.

His parents raised Jaden until he was ten. On his tenth birthday, for that matter, was the day they were killed. Some ultra radical group did it, said it had to be done for the greater good. He was in his room and had just woken up before they were shot. He never goes back to those memories anymore, too painful, or so he says. Some people just think that he doesn't want to admit that his parents fell to their own product.

It was at least 3:00 Am. Jaden had been out since nine driving around his favorite super car, the Ultimate Aero SCC. There had been about two emergences near his area. One was thought to be a false alarm because no Digimon was found.

He had always thought being a tamer would be interesting. The only friends he had, besides his butler, were actually his money's friends. He thought that having a Digimon might actually be like having a real friend, or at least someone who was interested in something other then his bank account.

Jaden was very skilled in combat because he had to be. He always had a Desert Eagle on him incase someone tried to kill him. That was done on a regular basis, but once they saw the eagle, they'd turn and run. Other then that, he knew eight different types of martial arts, which he practiced daily.

He had gotten up to his door when he heard something fall and break inside. He went ahead, unlocked the door, and took out his eagle before going in. There was a broken vase on the floor of his mansion along with a lot of blood. As he looked around, checking his corners, he noticed a foot sticking out of the closet, which was half closed. He silently went over to it and was saddened to find his butler, Carter, dead. He had been shot multiple times, blood coating his body, and one shot in his head.

"At least they didn't make you suffer. Rest at ease, my old friend. I'll find who did this to you." He whispered to the body. He had tears running from his eyes as he looked upon the man that had taken care of him for the part of his life that his parents weren't there. He was his best and only true friend. Jaden reached his hand down and put it on his shoulder. "Then, I will kill them." He voice now firm, even as the whisper it still was. He got back up and put both of his hands on the gun to go look for the intruder.

It didn't take more then three seconds to find out where the intruder or rather, intruders had gone. There was an enormous amount of noise coming from the room across from his own bedroom, too much for it to be just one man. He started to hear voices coming from inside. This is when the unbelievable started.

"Diamond Strom!" One yelled, and then it started to sound like someone was empting a clip of bullets into the wall. There was also a shuffling sound coming from in between the wall and the person who had yelled.

"Blood Hurricane!" Another, much deeper and even evil sounding voice yelled. At that, there was a massive amount of noise that sounded like bb's hitting against the side of a house with a tornado passing by it. The wall in front of him gave and several pieces of drywall landed on him, concealing him from the second attacker. Jaden knew, whatever was going on, it wasn't good.

Jaden was almost crushed as what felt like a 350-pound weight land on him. He started thanking his personal trainer for being as demanding as he heaved and threw the thing off, surprised that adrenalin had kicked in so early. When he looked to what had landed on top of him, his jaw dropped. It was a black renomon, a virus type.

"Power Paw!" Was yelled right next to him as a blue blur flew past him and slammed full force into the virus. The blur jumped back and almost into Jaden. He looked it over in under a second and realized it was a blue renamon. She was panting, completely out of breath, and she was bleeding, badly.

The virus just got up and shook a little as it did. Jaden realized that these two had been fighting for a while and knew that a Desert Eagle still wasn't going cut it. He and the blue renamon dived as it sent another blood hurricane their way. Jaden got to the closet and opened it, and there, lying on the floor, was a H2000 Tesla Rifle.

"A prototype, but powerful non-the-less. Renamon, keep him busy and I'll kill him!" He yelled as the blue renamon nodded to him. 'She must want this to end if she's this compliant.' Jaden thought to himself as the gun powered up. "Watch out!" Jaden yelled getting to his feet as he saw the virus teleport behind the blue renamon, but it was too late. It had already hit her and knocked her unconscious. Jaden heard the gun beep to signal that it was ready as the virus walked over to the blue renamon. It slowly raised it's hand and opened it's mouth to say the attack, but Jaden was fast.

"Say goodnight you piece of shit!" He yelled as he dove between them. It looked shocked that he had moved that fast as he pulled the trigger. Immediately, lightning came forth from the muzzle of the gun and hit its target. The virus dropped to its knees, screaming from pain. In seconds, it turned to code, which oddly enough, wrapped around Jaden and then blue renamon, making him feel better then ever and mostly healing the blue renamon.

Jaden stood up to survey the damage. His room had been destroyed by the black renomon's blood hurricane and the hallway was a disaster. He knew he was going to have to get someone here to take Carter's body away. Then his eyes rested on the renamon. He was going to have to clean the blood off her and maybe even sterilize some of those open wounds.

After a few moments, Jaden decided to take the renamon to the guest bedroom and just lay her on the bed until he could get Carter's body taken away for a proper funeral. He was somewhat happy, since he kept his word on killing the thing that had ended him. After all, the black renomon's blood hurricane attack would leave marks that looked like bullet wounds. He knew the police wouldn't really ask much, but they couldn't see the renamon, or they'd probably alert Hypnos and he really didn't want them snooping around.

After placing the renamon on the bed and calling the cops and an ambulance, Jaden went downstairs to wait. He had set a small motion detector next to the bed so that if the renamon got up, he'd know about it immediately.

Once the cops had come and gone, and had taken Carter's body away, Jaden went upstairs to the spare room with some anti-bacterial, some cloths, and some bandages. He found the renamon, still unconscious, lying down on the bed. Then, he began the precarious task of cleaning the injured creature.

He started at her arm, taking it in hand, and beginning to wipe it down with some of the water in the tub he retrieved from his bathroom. She didn't move a single muscle as he went over one of her deeper cuts, even as he washed it out with some cleaning alcohol. He fur was soft as silk in the places that weren't covered in blood or debris. It had a deep blue huge to it that contrasted her white chest well, and with her white hands, feet or paws, and the tip of her tail and ears.

He started on her other arm, which had many more defensive wounds then her first. The deeper cuts on this one worried him a bit since there were a few pieces of this unknown material in them. She winced slightly as he removed a large sliver of what looked like wood. Her muscles were stronger then he thought as they tried to close around the two fingers that he was using to hold the cut open so that he could put disinfectant in it. After a few seconds of struggling, he finally got it in and moved on to washing the rest of her since the other wounds were healed by the data she had absorbed.

Her figure was breath taking. 'Like a cheerleaders,' Jaden thought. He combed the dirt and blood off her chest, discovering that two nicely sized breasts lay just beneath a tuff of long fur that started at her neck and ended before her midriff. He moved up to under her neck, the blood splatter there was only minor. He gently wiped it away and nearly jumped as she began to purr heavily at the feeling.

He stared at her blankly. The last thing he expected her to do was just that. To add to that, she was also smiling. He continued, going to her stomach. As he ran the cloth over her well-toned abs, the purring increased. He smiled, thinking of what she might be dreaming of. Maybe, on some off chance, it included him. Maybe she might be dreaming the two of them were laying down in some meadow and cuddling up to each other.

He shook the thoughts from his head. "What are you thinking Jaden? There's no way she'd fall for you." He said to himself. Jaden had heard of Digimon-human relationships, but never once thought about it until now. After all, lying right in front of him was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, so you couldn't blame a guy right? Again he shook the thought from his head, continuing to clean her up, hoping to not think about it anymore. However, he knew that once he'd reached her womanhood, that'd be nearly impossible.

Jaden had, in fact, reached that place that all men desired. He decided to close his eyes as he did it. So he did, and began to clean her most privet area thoroughly. It wasn't much of a surprise that the original purring had turned into a moan of pleasure at the new ministrations. He opened one eye to see what he was doing, only to wish he hadn't. She was wet, soaking wet, and not from the cloth. Her scent hit Jaden like a brick wall and he immediately got a hard-on that would probably last for hours.

He was thankful when he pulled the cloth away to see that the area was clean. But that thankfulness turned to regret as he got a full view of an exposed cunt. In her sleep, the renamon must have opened her legs. Jaden shivered again as her strong scent made it's way into his nose.

"Get a hold of your self! Don't do anything stupid!" He scolded himself in a harsh whisper. Jaden turned away and moved down the edge of the bed so that he could continue cleaning and take care of her legs. He noticed that they looked like that of an animal's hind legs, but still sexy in an exotic way. Any dirt that was in the soft fur simply slid out and away as if it would do that on it's own. He continued down towards her paws and noticed that the claws on her toes were more like talons than anything else.

Upon further inspection, he found that she was ticklish. Every time he stuck a finger in between two toes, she would giggle in her sleep and pull it away. He smiled to himself, now done with the work, and sat back in the chair he was on and began to read a book. Jaden just decided he would watch over her until she woke up. Then, he would help her do what she wanted to do.

About an hour passed with nothing notable happening but the occasional murmurs from the renamon. He passed it off as if she was only having a bad dream. Then, around midnight the next night, the second strange feeling to creep up his spine during the last set of events did just that. He knew something was wrong and he knew that he had to get out of there. Jaden thought fast, picking up the renamon easily and bolting down the stairs.

He stopped at the door, the renamon stirring, but not waking. "I should take the back way, just in case." He said to himself, turning away from the foyer. Racing down the hall, he smelt smoke, and began cursing under his breath. Jaden took a corner a little to fast and slammed his shoulder, and the renamon's feet, into the wall. This effectively made him kick himself in the ass. But that changed as the renamon simply reached up and put her hands around his neck.

He stayed there for only a few moments until he began to feel a little heat. Tuning around, he noticed a wall of flames. "How the hell!" He yelled as the second floor started to become the first floor with much protest from him. Jaden launched himself back and landed gracefully in the kitchen, back door right besides him. "Pure luck, but I'm not complaining!" He yelled over the now defining roar of the flames. Jaden had no idea how it got so bad so fast and was perplexed at the physical endurance he was showing.

He didn't think long on that as he kicked the back door down an bolted out, the renamon weighing nothing compared to before. Again, as before, Jaden passed this off as adrenaline as he ran for the garage. It wasn't more then three seconds before he was there, now sweating and panting heavily, but not feeling the least bit tired. He opened the door in the same fashion as the kitchen's and the door simply dropped to the ground as if a tank had hit it.

Jaden ran past the truck he had closest to the door and reached his Aero SCC. Without a second thought, he had already opened the passenger side and slipped the renamon in, throwing the seat belt around her without a problem. He closed the door and slid across the hood to the other side as if he was just out of the Dukes of Hazard show. Jaden opened the driver side door, gliding in and turning on the super car in one fast, fluid like motion.

The engine roared as it came to life, effectively waking the once-sleeping renamon. At the same time, the garage doors sensed the car's activation and had already opened. Before the renamon could say anything, Jaden gunned the engine and launched out of the garage. Then he saw the renamon, wide awake and looking quite confused. He turned his head towards her, not taking his eyes off the road for more then a few seconds at a time because they had already hit 100mph, and talked to her quickly and smoothly.

"Okay, here's what happened. I killed the black renomon with a tesla rifle, his data healed the both of us, but you still had a few minor injuries. I cleaned them up, along with washing you by hand. You were out for almost 24 hours, then a fire started. I think it was arisen, meaning someone did it on purpose, so now I'm going to take you to a hotel. I don't want you going out of my sight until you get a partner or Hypnos will go to town on your sexy, fuzzy butt. Wait, did I just say that?" He looked directly at the road, a scrutinizing expression on his face.

The renamon just sat there, looking at him. She didn't show any emotion besides the discomfort from the sharp turns he continually made. Then, the event that changed their lives from there on out happened, the console started beeping. With only one hand on the wheel, her reached into it and pulled out a blue device. Jaden's heart skipped a beat. Upon further inspection of the device, he realized it was a digivice.

"I believe this means that I will be staying with you, then." The renamon's casualness caught Jaden off guard. In response, he simply nodded.

"I'll get us the penthouse, a place to stay for the night." He said smiling. She just looked at him as his fingers started dancing across a screen on the consol. Soon, something happened.

"Marriot Hotel, front desk, how may I help you?" A soft female voice came from everywhere. The renamon immediately started looking around, a little scarred.

"Calm down, I'm just getting us the room." Jaden told her calmly, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Is the Penthouse available?" He asked aloud.

There was a noise that sounded like shuffling papers. "Yes, the penthouse will be available until the spring." She said. "The cost for renting it, would be about 700 a night, is that okay?" She sounded worried.

"That's fine, reserve it under Jaden Price. I'll be there in four minutes." He said, not worried at all. There was a scratching sound followed by some typing noises.

"Alright, we're all set. Just come pick up your keys from the front desk when you're ready. Thank you for choosing the Marriot." The soft voice concluded.

Jaden hit another button. He didn't do anything after that but drive and keep his eyes on the road for the next few minutes, occasionally dodging traffic since he'd pulled onto the highway. "You got a name?" He asked, causing the renamon to jump at the sudden sound of his voice. Jaden shook his head lightly as he smiled at her reaction.

"Renamon." She said. She didn't have a clue in the world, judging by the look on her face, why that didn't seem to answer the question.

"I mean a name as in a way to identify you as an individual, not the name of your species." She cocked her head to the side.

"Oh, I see what you mean. My people identify each other by sent, not name. But you may call me what you wish." At those words, that sounded to be chosen carefully, she put her hand on his, which was resting on the center consol.

Jaden smiled and turned it over and took the soft, three fingered hand into his own. He was happy when she gave him a little squeeze. "How does Serenity sound to you?" He asked softly. She, again looked quiet confused.

"If I'm not mistaken, doesn't serenity mean peace, quiet, and 'without fear or worry'? Because if that's the case, then it makes no sense to me as I have done nothing more then put chaos into your life." She sounded worried to Jaden. The reason for the name was quiet simple and she looked as if enlightenment had graced her from the look he gave her.

"You're all I have now besides the car and the money. I really like the car and the money's useful, but you're more valuable then anything to me." Jaden had absolutely no idea where those words came from. They seemed to have a good effect as the renamon, who hadn't said whether or not she wanted to be called Serenity, began to rub the side of her face against his shoulder affectionately.

"I love it. Thank you tamer." Serenity said in a very soft and gentle voice as Jaden pulled the car into a parking spot. Driving had become second nature to him and he didn't even realize that he had parked. "Let's go, I want to see where we'll be staying. At 700 a night, the room must be amazing." She said with almost childish curiosity in her voice. "Umm... Tamer, how do I get out of this restraint? And why am I in it?"

"It's called a seat belt, and if I were to get into an accident, it would stop you from flying through the windshield. I wanted to make sure that you were safe." Jaden hit the button, after motioning towards it to garner her attention, to release the seat belt. "Could you do me a favor and call me Jaden. Tamer makes it sound like you're at my every command." He said.

"But I am at your command. As your digi-partner, I follow all orders you give me." She finished leaving Jaden with a look of disappointment on his face. "What's wrong?" She asked looking worried and sounding the same way her face portrayed her to be.

"Digi-Partner, in other words, equals. That's how I want you to be treated. No less and I won't take no for an answer." Jaden said as her unlocked both doors and hit the special feature that opened up both doors and the hood. As he got out, he saw a look of absolute content on the renamon's face.

They both were at the front of the car since the engine was in the back. Jaden had a few days worth of cloths and enough desert eagle ammo to supply a special forces squad. Serenity's mouth dropped at the sight of the multiple ammo cases that looked like they could supply enough bullets to fuel a small war.

Jaden had already shouldered the needed materials for their stay and was watch Serenity a little fearfully. "Are you okay?" He asked in fear she might leave him at the sight of his protective arsenal.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It just surprised me, that's all. Why do you have all this?" She asked him, caught off-guard at how well he was armed, apparently.

"My motto is that it's better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it." Jaden replied calmly, but still nervous. He closed the hood and motioned to Serenity to follow him, which she did promptly.

As they walked up to the desk, the attendant there started fussing with things that were out of sight, apparently looking for the key to their room. "Are you Jaden Price?" She asked cautiously, noting his sidearm.

"Yes, I am. The pent house, please." Jaden said, leaning on the hard granite counter in front of the desk. The attendant quickly rushed it over to him as her handed her a debit card. She swiped the card and Jaden signed then took the card back as it was handed to him. "Come on." He called to Serenity, who snapped to attention and followed as Jaden went to the elevators.

"Enjoy your say here!" The attendant called after them.

Jaden was still laughing as he walked up to the door. Serenity had jumped a total of three times while in the elevator. Once when it started to move, a second when it stopped, and a third time, right into Jaden's open arms, as it "Dinged" and th doors opened. Sufficient to say, it was all quiet amusing and Serenity was blushing furiously under her blue furred cheeks.

"Okay, it wasn't that funny!" Jaden laughed as she tackled him into the room, showing the first sign of playfulness he'd seen in the girl. She just smiled at him and looked up. As she stood up, pulling Jaden up as well, she gasped at the size of the room.

"Wow, this place is huge! Well, not as big as your house but still big none-the-less." Serenity said taken aback. In return, Jaden just swung his arm around her and pulled her towards the bedroom. But there was a problem, there was only one bed.

Jaden huffed. "Great, now I got to sleep on the couch." He sighed. As he want to walk out, Serenity caught his shoulder.

"Are you sure? I don't mind sharing a bed."
