#30 of Kyurex

-==READ PLEASE==-

Hey guys Im rather sick so Ill keep it brief. This chapter was edited somewhat heavily because I noticed that I totally wrote some wrong stuff in it. I also added a rather large bonus paragraph of text in the end to make the chapter what I intended it to be back at the time. What I want to say is even though it's the same chapter as the last you definitely should read it, something important gets revealed here at the end...

And expect a whole new chapter this week.

„Take it easy, will you?"

The chain tugging on his neck wasn't exactly giving him an easy time. A somewhat bulky and hostile looking Electivire lead the Umbreon to a place unknown to him.

Kyurex was kind of relieved that he could finally walk around considering the only thing he did for the past few days was sit in a cell that you could equal to a swamp. All of his back muscles felt stiff - something he wasn't used to at all considering how much he usually trained. The thing that struck him as odd was the fact that there were so many prisoners everywhere he looked. Some even stared at him - holding onto the iron bars, some weren't visible at all amidst the darkness. He felt kind of sad imagining that some of them have probably been here for over 10 or more years. Even if there were some really bad characters, this dungeon was just too gloomy to stay down here for that long.

Kyurex understood that the reason for his imprisonment was simple - he was suspected of having tried to murder the duchess. It was funny, he could've chosen to just fled the scene and not follow the real culprit but instead somehow he came up with the idea of pursuing the evil doer. Now he got himself in to deep trouble, which was nothing new - and he made

"Get in."

Before he knew it, he was shoved into another cell.

*CLACK *

The door behind him closed. Kyurex immediately stretched and twisted his body, hearing his spine crack in multiple places.

"Uuuh..." He obviously needed some exercise.

"Kyu!!"

He didn't even get time to relax.

"May? Blaze? What are you guys doing here?"

Kyurex approached the other side of the cell with mixed feelings since he understood that his teammates were probably worried and didn't know a thing. May seemed concerned, Blaze seemed....he couldn't say. He felt kind of guilty because the last time he saw them he stated how tired he was and that he would be staying in the cave, and now this...

"Guess how many times I guessed it was you when they said something about an Umbreon..." Blazed grinned. Kyurex acted casually.

"Twice?"

"Nope....I didn't guess at all - I knew it..." Blaze joked.

"And it was actually quite logical - since you weren't back at the den when we came back - so we asked to check on the prisoner. Of course in exchange they wanted to know if we know anything about you..." Blaze added. The guard was standing far away and didn't seem to be interested in their conversation.

May suddenly pressed her paw against one of the metal bars.

"Kyu...tell us the truth - you didn't try to murder the Duchess-"

"Of course not..." Kyurex shook his head in denial. Even though his friends trusted him, they still felt somewhat relieved once hearing it from him directly.

"It's unbelievable that you got yourself stuck in a situation of such magnitude again...This really isn't a joke anymore bro - what will the crew back at the Star Forest think? What about your mum? How the hell are we going to get everything straight again?" Blaze asked, sounding serious for once.

"It's not my fault. I got framed - and honestly Blaze - how I get into these situations? I'm asking myself the same freaking thing." Kyurex sighed.

"Kyu, they're talking about execution!" May yelped already with a tear in her eye. Blaze also looked at the ground after the word got mentioned.

Kyurex raised an eyebrow as if he wasn't bothered by it at all.

"Really? What a bother..." He grinned. "Don't worry guys, there will be no execution. I'll be out of here in a couple of days and we'll be heading towards our tournament."

May stared at Kyurex, Blaze lifted his head. The Umbreon came closer, stretching his paw between the bars.

"Don't worry. You know I'll keep my promise."

His paw brushed against her chin. The Mightyena, even though the situation seemed hopeless, still believed him."And you blockhead, better be as lively as ever until I get out. Got that?" Kyurex now pointed his paw at Blaze. The Houndoom hit it.

"Anythin my bro....I don't think we have enough time to hear you out on the story on what really happened but, if you've got a plan - then get your behind out of here as soon as possible." Blaze grinned. It was obvious that the Houndoom was lost in thought lately, he didn't talk so much.

"Tell me this...what happened to the Duchess?" Kyurex asked. He needed to understand the situation better if he planned on getting out of it. May responded.

"It seems that the enemy hugged her from behind, and used a deadly ice type move called 'Sheer Cold'. Luckily her bodyguards intervened the second it started so, she survived - she's still unconscious though."

"Hmmm..."

"Yo Kyu, you also get the feeling we know her?" Blaze said.

"That's almost a given, though I'm not sure..." He was actually pretty sure who it was but, he didn't really want to talk about it right now. "Has word spread about my identity?" Kyurex still walked in circles, making his friends eyes move back and forth.

"No...we only heard something about an Umbreon..." Blaze answered. "And because you weren't in-" "-the CAVE you were supposed to be in." May finished that phrase, silencing Blaze. "We asked for permission to speak with you."

"Sorry..." Kyu smiled at May.

"Tell me that after you get out..." The females eyebrow twitched. Even her paw was tensed up. Blaze sat himself down.

"By the way...if you're going to do something 'bout this bro, better do it fast. They're saying that some kind of replacement will be arriving for our 'majesty' - some kind of old ruler or something, and he's not exactly kind - I don't think he shares any relation with us whatsoever. Worst case scenario, he'll have your head by next week." Kyurex was still circling back in forth. It helped his thought process by doing so.

"When will he be here?"

"They're talking about tomorrow." Blaze scratched his head with his arrow pointed tail.

"Hmmm..."

The situation seemed to be impossible to solve, but Kyurex was confident that he would come up with something. He wasn't just anybody, and he had Revan - and inexhaustible source of power.

"What was the Duchess's condition again?"

May and Blaze looked at each other. All these questions were weird and didn't seem to have anything to do with each other. At least directly, that is.

"Though unconscious, she seems to be in perfect health." May spoke.

"Times up."

Kyurex turned around, noticing that the Electrevire was opening his cell. Blaze gritted his teeth.

"Kyu!" May yelped again. The Umbreon passionately licked her nose.

"Don't worry."

_ So, you want to get out of here tomorrow? _

Kyurex nodded.

I'll use the Molecule Rebuild move you taught me...

Hmmm.....are you sure you've mastered it?

No problem ...

The Umbreon got up, standing in front of a well in his cell.

Watch this.

Kyurex focused, shutting his eyes. He could feel the VI being summoned in all the tips of his body..

_ Looking good... _

After feeling a slight click in his skull - he couldn't feel a thing anymore.

He jumped at the wall.

*SSSSHHH*

Kyurex successfully landed on the other side of the wall. He had passed through the bricks. It was an indescribable feeling, like being tickled everywhere at once.

There...you saw that?

_ It was acceptable but, you were too hesitant. Try doing it without having to gather any VI beforehand. _

Unsatisfied as usual...man...

That's what you call a perfectionist.

Who else is there to listen to your self-complimenting except me....

Whatever....I'm going to sleep. Go die or something.

Again?

Revan fell silent. Kyurex was slowly getting used to his sudden disappearing.

"Huh?"

Something caught the Umbreons attention as he was about to leave the cell he had entered. The cell was identical to his, and there - in the dark corner of the room - was something that resembled a tied up bird. Kyurex found it somewhat strange that he himself wasn't tied up at all, still, when he was being taken to the cell for guests he could clearly see other prisoners chained and everything else. This bird even seemed to have a rope around his beak, preventing him from speaking. Kyurex was naturally, curious as to why such a small creature was being treated like this. He slowly approached the strange bird - who couldn't move a muscle anyway - and observed.

"What on earth did someone as small as you do to get himself locked up?" Naturally, no answer. The eyes of the victim were red and resembled fatigue. Kyurex extended his paw, letting out his claws. With one thrust he tore off the already somewhat loose rope, making the bird catch his breath. Kyurex watched him for some time while the dark feathered creature coughed. He was definitely Murkrow - Kyurex could state that due to the funny hat the stranger was wearing.

"At last! I'm going to kill everybody!!"

Kyurex smiled. The pitched, cranky voice of the weird bird was somewhat funny.

"So, what are you doing down here?"

"Don't blame me, blame society! They said I stole food!-"

"Tsssch...not so loud, the guards will notice..." Kyurex looked around. The guards weren't that far away, so he decided notto risk being caught in another cell.

"Sorry..." The bird whispered. "I was hungry..."

Kyurex sighed. That word reminded him of someone he knew all too well.

"Just for stealing food or what?" The Umbreon asked, finding it somewhat stupid to lock someone in such a place for doing something so harmless.

"Yeah! I hate them all!!" The bird made an angry face. "I'll kill them too."

"What's your name?" Kyurex asked, still smiling. The Murkrow was somewhat surprised.

"Jeffrey."

A strange name indeed.

"Nice to meet you Jeffrey. I'm Kyurex." The Umbreon was somewhat amused. "How long have you been here, anyway?"

"Too long! Too long! That's how it is! " The bird seemingly tried to move his wings, but it was useless because of the ropes and the chain around his legs.

The Umbreon figured that the Murkrow didn't have a chance to speak a lot in the past few days, thus resulting in his loud volume of speech.

Some distant moving of chains sounded through the dungeon. Kyurex knew it could be the guards.

"Well all right Jeffrey, try to stay quiet now - otherwise the guards will tie you up again." Kyurex made his way to the wall from which he had came from. He got ready. The Murkrow still booked somewhat angry.

"I'll murder them either way...."

"It's unbelievable...he's never going to get out there..." May was about to cry again. Blaze's tail was wagging, displaying his not so pleased attitude. "It's impossible no matter how you look at it..."

"Yo May. He said he's going to get out, so he's going to get out. Now chill for a bit, will you? Stop dancing around like you're having your period..." he spat a flame at the wall, lighting the cave for a short period of time.

The Mightyena sat down with a moan.

"Blaze - don't you get it? Even if he DOES somehow get out, he'll be targeted by the entire system! I hate him! I hate his careless attitude! Why is he like that? What a moron..."

"You love him. Now calm down." Blaze was now really getting irritated - she wasn't offended by his "period" line. May pressed her head to her paws.

"We should of stayed at home..." The Houndoom lazily turned his head.

"You know...I like you more when you're pissed."

"Shut up...idiot."

"See?....Much better."

Day Later...

"Murder!"

Kyurex tried to guess what time it was already. Was it around lunch time? Or maybe it was already evening. He needed to know when the ceremony was. His eyes stayed shut.

"Murder!"

This was something that Kyurex had to listen to since he had helped his new friend. It didn't happen constantly but it seemed like every time the Murkrow was displeased he would shout these two syllables.

I need to get out of here before the ceremony...I'm sure they'll try to get rid of me then. But right now it's day time and if I get out my cell they'll be patrolling all over the pace like will once they noticed. If I could only tell when it's going to be dark outside...

*creeeek*

Kyurex concentrated on the sounds. The Murkrow not far away also felt silent, forgetting his random mumbling. The sound of a metal door closing not far away was what Kyurex could hear, meaning that probably somebody was coming.

"Hmmm..."

The sound of somebody stepping into puddles got louder. There was definitely more than one person.

"There he is my Lord. The prisoner who attacked the duchess."

Kyurex already knew the Electrivire - but next to him appeared three others. Two evil looking Persians, andin between a fairly large Sceptile. The green creature gave Kyurex an intense glare.

_ Who's this? _

Don't know, looks like someone wealthy.

_ What an ugly looking bastard...tell him to get lost... _

Yeah, as if I'm in a position to do anything like that right now.

"Name?" The Sceptile asked with a clear, loud voice. The Electrivire stept forward.

"We haven't asked him due to the exe-"

"Kyurex." The Umbreon replied, interrupting the electric type. Everyone starred at him, but the Umbreon still quietly satthere, meditating as usual.

"Leave us alone." The Sceptile said.

"As you wish my lord."

His two slaves and the guard scurried away displaying absolute obedience. Kyurex didn't have a good feeling about this whole situation, something told him that there was definitely something fishy going on.

The Sceptile once again looked down at the Umbreon.

"You shall be executed in an hour. Are you scared?" The Sceptile asked without changing his previous tone. The Umbreonhad no idea why somebody would be asking him such a irrelevant question but he knew better than not to answer somebody of the Sceptiles prestige.

Kyurex smirked. Finally he got a hint about the time.

"Sure."

"That doesn't sound convincing. Do you want to live?" Something felt awkward.

"If that's possible, why not." Kyurex still kept his eyes shut, not wanting to give his new companion any more attention than he already did by listening.

"Well it would have been possible if you would have done the job right." The Sceptile arrogantly looked at his paw. Kyurexs ears perked up. Did he just say what he thought he had said?

"Well my dear night creature, I shall be on my way. I cannot afford to miss the speech of the duchess. We shall meet again, though sadly it will be for a short time."

The Sceptile turned around.

Somehow I get the feeling this was all set up by him now...and he wants to have me out of the way. "Farwell."

And with that the Sceptile slowly walked away.

*Drip

He's got a fowl aura, and a rotten personality. That guy reeks of blood...

You notice such things?

It was too obvious. He hired that other peasant...

Kyurex remembered the incident and his encounter with the so called "Frost". He had do admit that he was still curiosabout the whole situation. That Umbreon was definitely special. Another question that Kyurex asked himself was what this "Frost" guys goals were. Surely if he was cold-blooded and all he would of finished Kyurex off right there...but he didn't.

That blue Umbreon?

Probably. I get the feeling he wants some political change in this town - a change that can make him even uglier and greedier than he already is.

Wait...he wants to get the duchess out of the way? At least that's what you're trying to say, right?

_ And he blew his chance - she was most vulnerable at the Battle Corner because she was out in the open. And he probably hurried with the execution to get his hands clean as quickly as possible. If we don't get out of here, we're done for. _

Hold on - you know we're speculating like hell here.

_ Get real kid, I've lived a while on this useless planet to get used to politics. This is how it worked back then, and it's probably how it still works today. _

Something suddenly flashed through Kyurexs mind - he immediately stood up.

_ What's wrong? _

Kyurex didn't answer - he had to hurry.

"The duchess is holding a speech - followed by some special event?" May repeated the information she and Blaze had gathered from a bypasser. Seemingly all citizens were blocking the streets to get to the Battle Corner yet again. Blaze spat some hot flames at the ground.

"I get the feeling we won't really like this special event. It sounds too much like an execution to me." He growled in anger, clenching his teeth.

"No..." May instantly trembled. She didn't want to imagine that...

"Let's go!"

The coliseum was slowly filled by the spectators. Everybody was wondering what the duchess had to say and what the special event would be. The crowd, unlike Blaze and May had no idea whatsoever who actually tried to murder the duchess - and didn't expect an execution at all. Amidst the crowd, Team 89 discussed the situation.

"This is all quite weird. I hope this has nothing to do with what happened two days ago..." Sruliana said, watch all kinds of Pokemon around them talk about the rumors that had been going on. Flak was scratching his head with his hind leg.

"Too bad Kyu chickened out to battle...maybe the duchess is going to announce a rematch? Then I'd see what he's up to with his new 'friends'" He stood next to his Leafeon friend, looking at the center of the field in front of them. If only Kyurex had been there at the time, he could've proven his old friend how strong he had become.

"By the way - where's Revy?" Sruliana asked.

"You know her....she hates Battling. She said she'd be staying at the den again.."

"You worried?"

"No, though it would be much better if she would be with us. That girl has definitely gotten much stronger, though it pains me to say for whom she does all this..." Flak made a serious face. "Aiii!!"

Sruliana pulled on his ear with her teeth.

"Will you stop whining for once and act like your usual self? Ever since Kyu dumped you you've been acting like a wuss..." Flak struggled free by shaking his head.

"Isn't it more like he dumped you?" He countered, rubbing his ear with his paw.

"Watch your words Flak - you know that was just a crush. Besides, the real Kyurex would never abandon his friends like that. He's dead for me...period..."

And so they continued their conversation while everyone gathered.

After a while the Battle Corner was full. And there on one of the towers guards made themselves ready in a line. This time there were even two Charizards...

"Lord Alfarus, the duchess says she's ready."

A Hitmonchan bowed before the Sceptile, waiting for his response. Lord Alfarus watched the crowd with a threatening gaze, eventually looking down upon the guard.

"Let her come."

"My lord, shouldn't we station guards right at the end of the stage for absolute security?" The Hitmonchan asked.

"Absolutely not. It shall be fine. Let the habitants of this town see their ruler, there is no need to hide her from her people." The Sceptile angrily stated. The Hitmonchan bowed his head again.

"As you wish my lord..." he said, hurrying off to inform the rest of the soldiers.

The large, green beast smiled, licking his lips.

Later---

All the Loudreds standing on the tower prepared to repeat what the Duchess had to say. Their unique ability to use their ears as loudspeakers was more than helpful in such big places where spectators had a problem hearing anything. An Espeon slowly walked towards the edge of the tower. Coming from inside the towers opening. Naturally, the crowd immediately erupted with shouts and cheers.

She had a slim, well formed body that made it clear the Espeon had had intense training and that she probably was, or is, a formidable fighter - which was actually quite unusual for a royal figure of her status because most of them didn't engage in abnormal activities. The thing that caught everyone's immediate attention were her eyes - they weren't normal.

The speech was about to begin.

Just like the last time the duchess was on the same stage, it was dark. The crowd carefully listened to their ruler. Lord Alfarus quietly stood in the shadows, watching the crowd carefully whilst listening to the speech. At least he seemed to be doing so. He was waiting for that one moment, that one moment that would brighten his future with riches and power.

The Espeon kept talking. She was informing the people of the circumstances, and about a forthcoming execution that she didn't want to happen, but was forced to by the higher authorities. At least that was what Lord Alfarus told her. The Sceptile narrowed his eyes.

He could feel the presence of a certain creature. It was going to happen any moment now. Just as the thought passed through his mind, a disturbance could be heard from within the crowd. Something wasn't right.

"Our highness!! Guards! Quick! Defend her!" One of the men shouted, feeling a weird presence. His friends made themselves ready. The Espeon stopped talking, and before she knew it a black, blue striped figure appeared before her - jumping from one of the nearby platforms. The guards wouldn't make it in time.

"Hello...I forgot to finish some business here last time, mind if I do it now?" He sounded rather confident, getting ready to lunge at his target.

The Espeon took a step back. "You..."

"Ey Frost..."

The blue Umbreon turned his head. After realizing to whom the voice belonged to, he was clearly surprised to the point of panic.

"You're supposed to be locked up!" he spat with a tremble in his voice.

Kyurex shook his head.

"I was. Thanks to you." He said. "Give up, you've got nowhere to go."

"Don't underestimate me..." Frost started to slowly retreat backwards. "I'll finish this some other time, your highness." The blue striped Umbreon didn't hesitate, jumping back onto the platform he had used before. Kyurex had already anticipated that he would choose the same route as before and gave chase without second thought. Both instantly used Agility.

It was like déjà-vu, but it was to be expected since the route was the only reliable escape from the city guards. Kyurex rushed through the night - being careful not to mess up because this time, there was much more on the line than before - his freedom.

He's not getting away ...

Kyurex felt his body become alive once again - he could feel the remaining stiffness from all the sitting fade away. He was unusually out of shape, but limitations were never a hinderance to him. From one house to another the chase continued. Somewhere far, far behind them Kyurex could faintly hear the cries of guards - who were just as determined to catch Frost as Kyurex was. For quite some time Frost managed to keep a remarkable gap between him and Kyurex, but that didn't last long. Kyurex eventually started to catch up, and all Frosts attempts to confuse his pursuer by abruptly changing his direction were futile.

As soon as Frost noticed that he could now hear Kyurexs breath, he knew he had to do something fast. After quickly scouting a building that was rather far away, he jumped with every ounce of strength he had.

"!!"

Kyurex halted for a second after witnessing nearly the exact same thing that happened last time. Frost barely managed to land and maintain his balance at the same time. Kyurex looked down - looking somewhat surprised that Frost would try the same thing again.

Again? Is he serious?

Frost felt secure again, he turned around, obviously amused at the sight.

"It's over dude!! I've won!! Surely you're not dumb enough to make the same mistake again! So long!" Frost turned around, but before he even made a step he heard something familiar - the sound of someone charging up - a sound made when using the one move - Agility.

"What the-!!?"

Kyurex didn't waste time and by charging up his Agility to it highest peek, prepared to leap towards his target. Frost shook his head.

"They never learn..." He instantly projectiled an Ice Beam in front of him, this time much longer and with more intensity than last time making the wall higher and thicker. Kyurex jumped - gaining even more speed as he glided through the air. The collision was definitely going to be devastating.

"Oh well..." Frost turned around and started to leave, expecting a loud crash any second. "There are just limits to how silly some creatures are...sheesh..."

He kept walking. But as soon as he took a couple of steps he froze still. There was no crash - only a mild thump. Something was wrong and even though Frost didn't want to, he turned around.

....

.......

"Surprised? Never use the same tactic twice on me."

Before Frost could even react or try to escape he was confronted with a direct to the chest Quick Attack, which was already beyond evading due to Agilitys buff still lasting. Frost nearly fell to the ground but managed to stay up and countered with an Ice Beam. Kyurex channeled a premature Shadow ball in hopes of deflecting his opponents move.

_ Let me help you out...this pathetic kid is getting on my nerves... _

The two moves collided resulting in ice splitters and dark energy flicker in all directions from the collision point. Kyurex could feel the energy he let out surge with even greater might, and his shadow ball adapted a faint, dark red color. Frost was forced to take a step back, not being able to handle the pressure and eventually the Dark energy absorbed his move, making the rest of Shadowball land directly into his face. The impact was deadly...but luckily Umbreons were resistant to the moves of their own type. Frost let out a faint yelp as he collapsed on the stone floor. Everything fell silent.

_ So...you used "Molecule Rebuild" to spare yourself a rather unpleasant situation....hehe, you're good kid. But it also seems like you're relying quite a lot on this new power...you know that everything has its limits, right? _

Yeah,yeah.....

Kyurex sighed, sitting down for a moment. Using to much of Revans power exhausted him quite fast. Frost seemed to be shivering not to far away from him. The blue Umbreon tried to open his eyes, and did so with great unease.

"Who...t..the hell are....you?"

Kyurex quietly stood up, walking up to his defeated enemy.

"Kyurex. But people call me Kyu. You can call me that too, it's much more....catchy I think?" Kyurex winked with one eye, turned around, and left from where had came from making sure that he avoided the guards who were not far away from the scene, heading his way.

Frost slowly started to lose conscience...watching Kyurex become a distant blur which slowly faded into the dark.

The somewhat worried Espeon circled in the royal hall room. Not only was her life endangered once again but her city was in an uproar due to this incident. The festival was definitely ruined, and she couldn't calm her people down, not when something like this happens twice in a short period of time. Another question unanswered was who saved her back at the stadium. Something seemed awfully familiar about him. While the Duchess was lost in thought she suddenly heard loud noises coming from outside the room where she had stationed her guards. Something was going on. The doors suddenly burst open, and in came Lord Alfarus looking as angry as ever surrounded by his 2 of his minions - 2 Pinsirs,

The Espeon was surprised but immediately prepared to battle. It was obvious to her what Lord Alfarus's intentions were after seeing her own guards lying motionless outside the room. She looked into the Sceptiles deceiving eyes.

"So It was you all along Alfarus...Do you want my title that bad?"

Lord Alfarus was obviously in a good mood, he was pretty sure that NOW things were going to go his way. This was the perfect moment to strike - while most of the cities forces were searching for the criminal, Lord Alfarus should have no problems getting the only thing out the way which stood between him and his desired position. The Sceptile slowly approached the cornered Espeon, his minions followed.

"I never really understood why someone as unintelligent and naïve as you got chosen as a ruler of Olthagen..."

The Espeon growled in response. "Oh so that's what it was? Jealousy? Someone so eager to gain power shouldn't be given any title at all."

"I made this city to what it is! I was the one who stood next to the throne as the consultant, ensuring that this city progresses into the right direction...and what do I get in return? A stupid little girl too young to even know what's good for herself, let alone the city....No...your short reign ends here young lady, and I shall ensure the well being of my city with these two hands!!"

The duchess retreated backwards, knowing that this was probably the end. The Sceptile got ready to strike.

.....

"I knew you were one sneaky bastard one way or another."

Kyurex stood in front of the duchess. The Espeons expression was perplexed - she had no ideas from where the Umbreon had appeared, though she was sure he came from behind.

"What? What are you doing out of your cell? You two, get him!!"

His servants obeyed instantly - Kyurex, not wanting the duchess to be in harms way dodged to the side as he was nearly grabbed by the two insect Pokemon. Kyurex knew that any second he spent dealing with the Sceptiles minions - the Lord could do anything to the Espeon. He had to act quickly.

Shadow Ball.

One of the Pinsirs blocked it with his bare hands, taking much less damage from the impact than Kyurex had hoped for. A flamethrower would be nice...where's Blaze when I need him?

"No!!"

A shriek. It definitely was the duchess, but Kyurex had his own issues and couldn't really react or see what exactly was going on her side. The two Pinsirs were ready to attack. Even though Kyurex was already at his limit after chasing and fighting Frost - where he used a lot of his VI - he knew there was no timeout as long as the duchess was in danger.

Fight...and kill....

Kyurex lunged at his oppenents, using Take Down to knock away one. Before the other Pinsir could react he had already fired a Shadow Ball that scored a direct hit which the Pinsir couldn't dodge.

"Wha-?"

Kyurex was caught by surprise. The Pinsir he had knocked away before now held Kyurex above his head with his horns.

Kyurex understood that he had to escape at all costs.

Molecule Rebuild.

Kyurex escaped the grasp and pounced off of the Pinsirs head - Facing him again.

"Wuaarggggh!!??" Before th Umbreon couldn't even think of a way bringing the Pinsir down, the Insect was struck with ny an invisible force. The Pinsir broke down, shaking up dust after falling onto the ground. Kyurex was more surprised at the fact who appeared before him after the Pinsir fell.

"Your Highness?"

"Thank you, stranger..." The Espeon said, catching her breath. Kyurex looked further behind noticing a defeated Sceptile panting for his life.

Did she do that? Damn...

Kyurex had now time to observe her. That blue colour...he had only seen one individual with such a glwoing blue spark in her eyes.

It is her....It now all makes sense...I....can't believe it.....

Kyurex then felt a sudden pain tremble through his head, right to his toes. An unexpected, cold kind of pain. His body shook, but he managed to control himself in front of the duchess. This was definitely the side effect of using to much forbidden power.

He tried to act as casual. The Espeon in front of him didn't quite understand what was wrong with him.

"Are you okay? Do you need help?.." She asked. Suddenly, Kyurex nearly cried out of happiness. That voice. He never thought he'd see her again, ever. The Espeon came a bit closer while Kyurex smiled, still shivering a bit from the cold - but it was useless - nothing could stop the warmth he felt inside at that moment.

"Em...I know you saved me and all, and Im grateful for that, I really am but...." The Espeon tried to struck up a conversation. "Do you mind saying anything? Because it's kind of-"

"Xeyura..." Kyurex whispered, lifting his head. Their eyes met properly now. The Espeon still seemed puzzled.

"Huh? You know my name?" she asked. "Have we met...before?"

"Xeyu....it's me." Kyurex laughed a bit out of joy. "It's me....Kyu..."

The duchess turned into a stupified state from one moment to the other. After staring at the Umbreon, who was smiling, her ears perked up to the max.

"Kyu-? Kyurex?? My little Kyuiii!-"

It only took a split second before they both cuddled up, rubbing their necks against one other with passionate force. They both enjoyed the moment of their reunion - Kyurex felt too happy - happy that he got to see Xeyura....his one and only sister.

"You got fat. At least now I'm assured that mum is still being as generous as ever." Xeyura remarked in a strict manner while sitting on her enormous, woolen bed. Kyurex had never seen something like this before - he couldn't understand how such things could be crafted, but then again, there were various Pokemon with a wide variety of abilities so something like this shouldn't be impossible for certain creatures.

But it wasn't just the bed his sister was laying on, it was the whole room. It was enormous and hide enough luxury inside for probably a whole village. Small skulptures, various type of food in baskets and so on....

"I'm not fat..." Kyurex said, laying in the same bed as Xeyura - on the other end. During their short moment after reuniting they were eventually interrupted by the city guards who stormed into the hall. Before they could pin down Kyurex who was apparetly still under suspicion Xeyura stepped in and cleared up the mess by only reassuring her servants that Kyurex was definitely not the one they were after. After some disccusing and info exchanging and Kyurexs input, the already arrested target - Frost - was thought to more likely to be the culprit. The guards then took away the Sceptile and Pinsirs to the dungeon.

After that Xeyura led Kyurex through the large castle. Some of the places were already familiar to Kyurex. He had suspected the evil lord to make his move, and rushed to the royal place as fast as he could using Molecule Rebuild to search the place - it took a while but, he made it in the nick of time.

Xeyura made the Umbreon wait in her room untill she arrived, because she needed to bring things under control first - nevertheless she wanted to prolong their reunion for as long as she could. After a while Xeyura returned and now here they were discussing past, present, future and anything else they needed to catch up on.

"But Xeyu...last time you left you said you were going to compete in the Silver Tournament...what's up with becoming a duchess of a whole city?" Kyurex really wanted to know how the sister he remembered from back then even considered taken on such a role. He remembered Xeyura as powerful, dominant brawl-happy kind of female - not somebody who could sit around and govern a city. And how the hell did his sister even get such a role regardless if she wanted it or not?

"Bwaa....it's a long story. And that Silver tournament, I finished in seventh place. So I actually qualified for the Gold Tournament."

Kyurex was felt amazed.

"You qualified for the Gold Tournament!?"

"Yep, and then I got picked up by Elfetier-"

"You got picked up by one of the most popular Guilds too?!!? Damn..." Kyurex felt weird - It only now really made sense to him what his mother had always said: You too are much alike. His sister had done things he definitely wanted to achieve too. She was just way ahead... "And then my master there at the time set me up on a mission to guard Olthagen - because it was under attack - so I did - and through some certain circumstances....I ended up like this..."

"What circumstances?"

"It's...." The Espean averted her eyes making it clear that the whole situation had a background Xeyura wasn't willing to discuss at the moment. "Let's say its complicated."

"I get it, I get it." Kyurex acknowledged her reluctant answer. "It's still kind of bizarre when I think about it...my very own sister...is a -."

"What's so bizarre about it Kyui?" The Espeon stood up, placing her paw on Kyurexs head with a mischievious smile. Kyurex already knew she was up to no good. "You think I don't have what it takes to do the job? Is that it?" She lightly pushed Kyurexs head up and down, meeting little resistance.

"I...didn't say anything of the sort sis!"

"Liar. Having the thought is enough already - it was probably something like 'Oh how could my big, violent and cute sister become something like a ruler, it doesn't make sense' - aren't I right Kyui??" Kyurex liked how she added "cute" inbetween the other adjectives which had nothing to do with the general picture. He also couldn't help but be reminded of Angel every time her heard "Kyui" but then again, it was his sister who gave Angel the habit of calling him that back then.

The Espeon then spontanouesly jumped of the bed, leaving Kyurex somewhat dizzy and puzzled. She happily pleased herself to a bowl of some exotic looking fruits.

"So...I guess it's obvious to what your plan is since-" Xeyura spoke after swallowing a mouthfull. "-you've signed up as a Team for the Bronze Tournament. I was really surprised once I saw the Star Forest was also participating, and then I even found your name."

"Huh? How can you know such details?"

"What? You don't know? This stuff gets written down and recorded- and since I have my priveliges as a duchess - I can access that Info."

"Recorded?"

"Sheesh...of course. Psychic Pokemon have a special link system to exchange and write down data, how else do you think everysingle Battle Corner knows about your achievements, wins, losses name and team?" Kyurex thought about it.

She has a point...so.......so .that's how it was done?

"OK...good to know." Kyurex remarked, remembering something else. "So that's why me and Flak were called...I knew it wasn't some kind of weird coincidence-it was definitely your idea!"

"Talking about that- why didn't you come? I nearly gave up hope thinking you're probably in some other city or not here yet."

"Ah that...well, let's say there were some CERTAIN circumstances preventing me from appearing on stage."

The Espeon stopped eating, laughing at what her brother had said in a rather provoking manner.

"Nice comeback my cheeky little brother..." she stated. Kyurex kind of felt proud that he could somewhat show his sister that he was more mature and could talk back to her now. Back at the time when he was small, anything his sister said was absolute and correct with no retaliation whatsoever. He shortly closed his eyes to reminisce.

"Hu?-Hey!!"

A rather light mass fell on top of Kyurex and then something pressed his ears down against the bed on both sides. It was his sister.

"Em, Xeyura? What are you doing?"

"That was the first time you've ever tried to smart talk with me boy..." Xeyura sounded just like back then, cold and dominant. The fact that Kyurex made that remark seemed to really have provoked his sister. The Umbreon had a bad feeling about the whole situation. Suddenly, he could feel Xeyuras breath on his right cheek. This brought up memories.

"Xeyu-not this again..."

"Oh? Are you remembering that time again Kyui? Where you were my little plaything...just the two of us and our little games..." The Espeons voice made Kyurex shudder. Indeed, the whole situation did make Kyurex remember some things fom back then. "Hmm....now that I think about it...did you get a girlfriend? Like that one girl that you would always hanged around with...Angel I think it was?"

"Em- well...I-"

"Huhu..." The Espeon jumped off of Kyurex, circling around for a minute before finding a comfortable spot on her bed. Kyurex was still a bit in a disoriented state.

"Ahh....But I guess I got what I wanted in the end...and that was to see you." Xeyura happily moaned, sounding like she was desperate to get some sleep already. Kyurex wasn't surprised at all after taking in account everything that had happened lately. Noticing that it was getting really late and his team was probably worried sick, he got up.

"Xeyu...there's so much I still want to talk about with you-" Kyurex spoke his honest thoughts. The Espeon opened her eyes again, giving her brother a warm smile.

"Same here Kyui...But you know you have to be going since the tournament doesn't wait..." She spoke in a gentle tone, just like an elder sibling would speak to the younger one. "We'll definitely see each other soon, I just have a lot of matters on my hands right now, and so do you...When the time comes, I want us both to visit mother together." Kyurex suddenly remembered.

"Yeah..." He kind of felt bad, his mum was all by herself currently...

"Don't worry Kyui, she'll be fine." Xeyura noticed."What you can do right now is make her proud by winning that tournament."

Kyurex smiled in return too. Yes, that's how things should be. That was even the promise he made.

"Yeah....Xeyu, I'm going to win no matter what it takes. Just watch me."
