Final Showdown, part 2
#2 of eXplorers: Aftermath
End of a hidden chapter.
_Last time you read this chapter, the three heroes - Ryo, Zudan and Mica - arrived at the summit of the Temporal Tower.
The team explored the floor if there was any clue to stop the Great Cataclysm, which is the end of the world as they know it. Mica ( Ninetales , Female) found an obvious big clue: a mural with 5 holes (4 representing a Time Gear, 1 representing the king's scepter). At the brink of discovering how to put an end to the end of the world, Mica got swept off the floor by King Primal's ( Dialga ) Roar of Time. Not much later, King Primal defeated Zudan ( Absol ) with Superpower. After that was it Ryo's turn. But when that happened, came Zudan back to his senses._
Unregistered Chapter: Final Showdown, part 2
Zudan looked at the destroyed pillar with tears in his eyes. More evil laughter of Primal was echoing through the area, but that didn't continued for long. The surroundings turned pitch dark.
"Huh?" said Primal surprised. "What's happening?" Primal felt a dark warmth coming up from behind. He turned and saw a purple aura surrounding an angered Zudan.
He looked up towards Primal with red eyes. The darkness consumed his body. You could hear him panting of anger and grief.
For a moment was Primal a bit intimidated, but he recovered.
"You really think that a little bit of panting and staring me would scare me? Guess what, you're wrong!" he ran near and used Roar of Time up close with his scepter. Even though that the attack almost never miss, Zudan managed to dodged it in a split second before Primal's attack.
"Huh? Where'd he go?" said Primal astounded.
"I am right here." said Zudan behind Primal.
As quick as he can launched Primal another attack with the rear of his scepter. But with no luck - Zudan kicked the scepter far away, out of Primal's hand.
"N-No way! No one is fast enough to do-" Before Primal finished his sentence, a Shadow Ball (at the size of a beach ball) hit him in the stomach, blowing him away into the darkness.
Zudan smiled. "Now to finish you off." he said.
Zudan ran with hi-speed at Primal. His hand turned into a fist and ready himself to attack with Giant Shadow Punch.
But just when he attacked, Primal duck and quickly attacked him with Hyper Beam.
Zudan, who was blinded by the humongous light the beam produced, couldn't dodge it and got blasted. The impact was too powerful thus resulting his defeat.
The dark atmosphere turned back to normal.
Primal looked at the lifeless body of Zudan to check if it wasn't moving.
He looked back at the crumbled pillar with Ryo underneath it.
'Good.' he thought. 'Now I can terrorize the land without those ignorant interruptions.'
Suddenly, he heard murmuring from the pillar.
'Huh?' thought Primal as he walked over to the pillar.
"Ouch...that hurts..." said the voice between the pieces of rock.
'No way...! It can't be! I've destroyed him! I've crushed him like he was a tiny insect!'
One rock tumbled off the pile of rocks. "IT CANNOT BE!!!" he said as charged a Hyper Beam.
On the second Primal fires his Hyper Beam, 16 Orbs - each representing a Type - circulates around the pile with Ryo in it, with the Normal Orb in front. The Hyper Beam was fired off, but the Normal Orb used Protect and formed a whole dome around the pile to ward off any attack.
" NO!!!" shouted Primal.
The Orbs circulated around Ryo and one by one integrated the Orbs with Ryo's body. Primal desperately did everything to stop this transformation, but he didn't succeeded. The dome was too strong to break.
" I..AM..NOT..LOSING..THIS..FIGHT!" he said while attacking the dome. At the last attack, broke the dome. But it was too late. The transformation was complete. A blinding light emitted from Ryo's body.
"Aargh! The light's too bright! Can't...see!" With all his might tried Primal a super big Hyper Beam.His hands were reaching for the sky and started his core diamond to shine brightly.
"It's time for you to die, Ryonagi Nagami! YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD!"
The energy sphere was fully charged and ready to fire.
"Here...it...goes!"
Primal aimed at Ryo. " FULL STRENGTH HYPER BEAM!!!" The beam began to grow when fired.
It looks like Ryo couldn't dodge this attack. But during the transformation a few things changed, like his speed. So, Ryo dodged just before hitting him. The Beam was also so bright that you could see it from everywhere you were in Okoku.
'I did it! I've finally killed him!' thought Primal.
"Your thoughts are wrong." said a fused voice.
"NO! IT CANNOT BE!" screamed Primal full of disbelieve as he turned around.
Behind him was Ryo, hovering in the air. "Oh, it can be." said the voice.
Primal turned scared. He started to shiver. "Wh-who are you?"
"I..." said the voice. "...I am your worst nightmare. Get ready to believe that."
Ryo's hand pointed to Primal.
"You are the one who is going to suffer for what you have done towards my friends, my family and all living creatures!"
"No, please don't!" whined Primal. "Please don't kill me! I will be a good King! I promise!"
"Your promises are invalid. It's time to pay the ultimate price...!"
Ryo turned charged a beam with all the 17 Orbs inside his hands. The Orbs formed to one atom of 17 colors.
"It's time..." said Ryo.
Ryo aimed at Primal's heart.
" UNITY BEAM!"
The Beam was fired towards to Primal.
" NOOOOOOOOOO!!!" screamed Primal as he gets hit by the beam.
The impact shone as a beam towards the skies beyond. It broke the clouds above, creating circles around the beam that lasted for over 5 minutes.
And there they were. Ryo, Zudan and Primal. Three lifeless bodies. Till...
"Ungh...what happened...?"
One of the bodies started to move. It was Ryo's. He looked up and saw 3 Element Orbs: Water, Grass and Electric.
"Huh? You saved...me? But why...?" said Ryo confused.
The Orbs flew away, high into the sky, back to the place they once came from.
"Oh, I remember... the Great Cataclysm..."
Ryo stood up and walked to the mural. He filled the holes, the onces shaped as a Time Gear, with a Time Gear.
All 4 holes was filled, but one was missing: the scepter of King Kiku.
"Where's the scepter? I just lay there next to it!"
"Maybe you were looking for this?"
Ryo turned around and couldn't believe his eyes.
There stood Zudan with the scepter. Tears started roll from Ryo's cheeks.
"Zudan...is that really you?"
Zudan nodded.
"Come, let's end this."
Ryo swallowed his tears and nodded.
Together put Ryo and Zudan the last missing piece in the hole.
And when they do, the Gears and the scepter started to glow.
Lines of glowing light started to shine over the whole floor, through the whole Tower and Temporal Town.
The damaged or destroyed buildings on Temporal Town rebuild itself. People reappeared back into the town with astonishment and glee.
"Are you seeing this, Zudan? We saved the world."
"I'm glad we did this together, although Mica should be here to celebrate with us."
"Why don't you start celebrating, then?"
The guys turned around and saw Mica standing there.
"Mica!" said the boys as they ran over.
"But how did you came up here?" asked Zudan.
"I landed on one of those thunderclouds. There was an opening at the size of a window, so I went inside and fought myself up here." said Mica nonchalant.
"Well, we're glad you're OK!" said Ryo happily.
Meanwhile, King Primal was reviving of the powers of the Gears.
Zudan: "Look! Primal's restoring!"
Mica: "Who?"
Ryo: "That's the guy who blasted you off the floor!"
King Primal stood up, empty from the surge of energy he had to put in the Hyper Beam.
"Attack!" said Zudan.
"Wait! Wait!" said the King. "I'm the good guy! I'm King Kiku!"
"Oh, why didn't you say so?" said Zudan.
King Kiku walked over to the Team.
"I want to thank you, noble residents, for freeing me from the evil that I was doing.
I was foolish to let me talk into the dark by that... that...fiend, Miss Katherine."
King Kiku grasped his hand.
"Don't you worry, Your Majesty, a good friend has taken care of her."
"Again, thank you for saving me...and for saving the world."
Not what later, Team Explorers departed the Tower. Zudan and Mica walking triumphantly towards the Rainbow Carriage, however, Ryo experience a difficult walk.
"Ryo, are you okay?" asked Zudan.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" replied Ryo like it was nothing.
But it was. He started to walk slower and slower. His breathing became heavier and heavier.
At a point collapsed Ryo on the ground.
"Ryo!" said Zudan and Mica and ran to him.
"Zudan...Mica...I think this is it..." said Ryo.
"Ryo, don't go!" said Zudan.
"I wish I could, Zudan. But I can't..." Ryo coughed. "Zudan...Mica...my friends...my family..."
Ryo closed his eyes.
"...farewell..."
"No, no, no, no..." said Zudan sad.
Ryo dissolves into dust and got carried away along with the winds.
"Ryo...." sobbed Zudan.
Mica puts a arm around him. Zudan started to cry. Waterfalls of tears roll down his cheeks.
"RYO!!!!" screamed Zudan to the skies.
His voice echoed followed by the sound of sonic thunder.
The echoing was heard by many people, one amongst them was King Kiku.
"I can feel your grief, Zudan Silverrock. In honor to return the favor for saving me, I will do the same for you."
King Kiku hoisted the scepter to the sky.
"What once was, shall return again!" King Kiku jabbed the scepter to the ground, unleashing a power that only he can control.
Hours later, when the sun began to set, Zudan stood alone on Javatum City Beach. He stared at the beautiful reflection of the sun.
'Here was were it all began...'
He flashbacked to the time when he saw Ryo unconscious on the ground.
'Ryo...why...?' he thought as he cried.
He looked left and couldn't believe his eyes.
The same dust solidified back together to Ryo.
Tears of joy started to run Zudan's cheeks.
"Is that you, Ryo?"
Ryo nodded.
Zudan ran to him and tackle/hugged him.
"I'm back Zudan...and I hope that I won't leave anymore."
