I just stood there and watched Zerato walk away.

"Uhm.. exactly where are we supposed to go?"

I tilt my head a bit and one ear flattened against my head. I never really took it into thought honestly, to why the sender of the letter asked us to gather here, Druk nodded.

"Mhmm, I'd like to know where we're headed before we leave. Being told to meet somehere is one thing, but going off where ever without clues or assurance that things will be fine i'm not going anywhere."

Zerato looked back to us with an annoyed look on his face, he faced forwards again and placed his paw on his chest. I could feel that he was going to cast something, all I could really do is watch, my tail flicking side to side. Druk sighed and crossed his arms watching as well, I look at him for a moment, his tail swayed and slightly wrapped around his leg then unwrapped then went to the other leg and did the same. I smiled a bit then saw Zerato reaching out in front of him, there was a barely noticable spark of his magic escaping his paw then it disappeared.

"Are you going to fill us in? Cause it seems that you know what's going on."

Druk sounded a bit annoyed that he wasn't getting any answers from Zerato, he walked a bit closer to Zerato. I let out a quiet sigh then I felt like I was missing something and t took me a while to figure out what it was.

"My staff!"

I blurted out, only Druk turned to look at me and his ear twitched. Cute. I turn and look behind me, it was just standing there lodged in the ground. I head over to it and yank it out of the ground then fitting it between my sword so my staff layed there tightly. I turn around only to be blinded by a sudden flash of light.

"Agh..the hell was that?"

I close my eyes and cover them, rubbing them a bit as my ears fold back a bit then heard Zerato say something.

"C'mon, the people there will be able to fill you in better than I can."

People? What? I blink rapidly as I move my paw from my eyes then I see.. uhh what am I looking at? It's like violet streams of magic are spiraling down an endless path. Zerato jumps into it and his body seemed to fade away, I guess Zerato made that.

"A portal.. Impressive."

Druk mumbled then looked back to me.

"C'mon slowpoke."

He chuckled then walked into the portal, his body swirled around before disappearing into it.

"I'm not slow.."

I started speed walking towards it then a black hand lashed out towards me, I jump to the side in attempt to avoid it .

"What the hell is this?!"

The hand managed to grip my torso, I growl and grunt digging my claws into it as I struggle to get myself free of its grip.

"Let me go!"

In a panic I started burning the hand but it didn't seem to have ny effect, it finally pulls into the portal and everything got dark. I don't know how long its been but when I opened my eyes I was on the floor..yet again I groan softly then noticed feet of people I didn't know. The first thought that I got was 'They're the ones that jumped me.' I quickly reach for my Phoenix Blade, unsheathing it and a wave of hot air filled the room as I stood up and pointed at them.

"Who the hell are you and what do you want with me?"

The one on the left laughed, it was a girl from what I could hear. I growl and step in to slash at her, my eyes widen for a moment as someone grabbed my arm stopping me, I look behind me readying myself to counter this person, but I notice it's Druk then I see Zerato as well.

"Calm down David, they didn't pull you through. It was Zerato."

Zerato glared at me and softly growled as he rubbed his hand where it was burnt.

"Yea, thanks for burning me by the way."

Druk let go of my arm and I calm down, I sheath my sword and fold my ears back looking down.

"I'm sorry, but you scared me!"

"Well if you didn't take your sweet ass time I wouldn't have had to to that."

Zerato's tail lashed around then one of the three cleared his voice.

"Ahem.. Now that you're all here, I'll clue you in to why you've been brought here and what I'll have you do."

The male stepped forwards, I looked up and took a few steps back. He was built, like.. huge, he wore armor though I don't know why he'd need armor if he's that big. He looked like a sort of lizard with scales, maybe he was a wingless dragon? I shrug a bit, he looked at the clipboard he was holding which looked too small for him.

"You three have been chosen not only for your unique abilities, but also we believe that you have potential to pass out test that we hold every decade to let you join our hidden clan."

A clan? But.. I take a breath a bit nervous cause he was rather intimidating.

"Uhm, I'm.."

The lizard cut me off.

"Yes, I know you're a member of the Tsukaro Clan. When of if you pass a letter will be issued to their respective families, guardians, teachers, masters and so on indicating that you have been taken to further improve your abilities under our care."

I nod a bit then I look to Druk then Zerato, Zerato leaned up against the wall and crossed his arms closing his eyes. Seriously, who does this guy think he is, he acts like he's the higher-up between Druk and I, Abyss wiggled a bit adjusting itself to get comfortable as well. I just sigh.

"I see... And if were are to fail?"

Druk asked curiously, the female that I almost attacked chuckled again.

"Well you die of course, you can't expect our tests to be anywhere near simple if we're holding them every 10 years. Get real."

The woman spoke, now that I look at her better she looked like some kind of avian, a Cardinal to be exact. She wore a robe that had a mixture of white, blue and gold, I automatically thought that she was a Cleric or a sort of Divine Magic user or something, but your abilities and talents can't be told just by clothing right? Druk only nodded while I had a worried look plastered all over my face. I don't want to die, I'm too young to die.

"Fair enough."

I shake my head.

"No way I'm dying, I still got other stuff to achieve other than power."

I blurt out, and the woman smirked.

"Good. I'll keep you on those words my little Phoenix Fox. I did after all chose you and I'd hate to see my choice to be a failure."

I snorted then mumbled.

"I won't fail when I got other things to do."

The Cardinal chuckled then Zerato spoke up.

"So could you give us this test already instead of wasting our time? Or I could just leave right now and further my power on my own because I know I'm very capable of-"

The third one that was standing there suddenly sunk down into the shadows and reappeared right in front of Zerato, bringing up his paw and pressing a claw under his muzzle. I don't know what this guy is but I don't like how he's acting against Zerato.. even if he does deserve it. From when he was standing only his strong yellow eyes were visible, everything else was covered with a layer of black clothing and shadows.

"Ah.. Zerato.."

His voice was rather eerie and ghosty, I was really starting to dislike him more.

"I just adore your attitude and your Chaotic powers."

Abyss' wings spread out and cawed at the male, Abyss obviously didn't like the feeling of this guy either.

"And your ally too.. Abyss."

He pulled his claw away from Zerato's muzzle and turned his attention to the Raven, Zerato let out a warning growl, his eyes sparking purple then back to gray.

"Back off."

The male let out a mischevious laugh and sunk back into the shadows taking back his spot beside the giant lizard. Abyss calmed down seeing the man leave and nuzzled Zerato's cheek.

"I got high hopes for you, Zerato. Don't disappoint me"

"So for your test."

Zerato moved off the wall and stood with Druk and I now that the lizard is finally getting to tell us what our test is.

"It comes in 3 stages and each stage has 3-5 parts."

The lizard held out his hand and a soft blue glow formed in his hand, 3 symbols appeared they all looked the same; a rectangle with a circle in each corner then a semi-circle between the circles on the furthest walls then layed in the middle was a Moon crecent. It was quite pretty if you asked me, the symbols started to move towards each of us then phased into our bodies. Nothing happened then suddenly a weird tingling went through my body and I went blind for a few seconds, I could only see white.

"I'm blind!!"

I said in a panic before my vision came back, I rubbed my eyes and shook my head.

"What did you do to me?"

I frowned and looked at the lizard, I heard Zerato snort and Druk chuckle at me.

"I gave you the most important part of your test, the map. You will now be able to see and use special items, see certain peopleand old runes that you usually wouldn't be able to see. Also, with this most monsters will be more hostile and agressive towards you. So for the first part of your test you are to search through Ellia Continent and fine a sorceress named Hellen Crest, she'll give you more instructions once you find her."

The lizard moved his hand to the side and a portal with a light blue glow opened, it looked like a mirror from the angle I was standing at.

"Take this portal and it will bring you to the shores of Ellia Continent. I wish you three the best of luck on your test."

As soon as the lizard finished talking Zerato walked straight through the portal silently, before he phased through it looked like he slowed down a bit to stare at the shadow guy.

"We won't disappoint you."

Druk said and nodded, walking towards the portal. He looked back to me and motioned me to come.

"Don't fall behind David."

I nod and made my way towards the portal, I take out my staff incase I get attacked as soon as I get on the other side. I wave to the three before going through.

"See you at the next part of the test then."

Everything went white when I walked through and the portal closed behind me.

Another group of three approached the leaders, their images hidden by the cloaks they wore. The middle one was tallest out of the three new people, the other two were nearly the same height.

"That fox boy is going to be an easy target to get rid of."

The one in the middle spoke.

"Are you sure you want this to be done so early in the test?"

He continued, the shadowed one growled ghostly and a portal opened up with a light black mist.

"Do not question, just get your task done. Their weapons here with their blood on it."

The one on the left walked forwards and spoke.

"And for Zerato? He doesn't carry a weapon, what should we bring of his?"

"A fang and the bird."

The left one nodded and stepped back to its spot, they all bowed before their superiors and ran off into the portal quickly, the portal closing behind the last one. The Cardinal chuckled.

"My my, you really believe that our choices are full of potential to be sending those three after them?"

The lizard turned and began walking off and spoke.

"We'll be able to observe them in the screening room."

The shadowed one nodded silently and followed after the lizard, slowly pulling off his hood, the Cardinal followed close by as they entered the lobby.
