#1 of Commissions

I wrote this piece as a commission for my friend Lyin, on Furaffinity. With stories like these, character development is limited, due to a restricted word limit based on the amount paid.

Generally though, I do tend to go a little over, especially in a story I enjoy like this one.

_ "Recent studies have found that rate of "Anthro" mutations has skyrocketed in recent years. Scientists are currently studying the rise in cases, and have concluded nothing so far. Several specialists have suggested that..."_

Zach groaned, "Christ, more of this crap?"

The news had been droning on over the issue for well over a week now. More and more people around the world were finding themselves and their loved ones turning, "Anthro" they called it. People were treating it like some sort of epidemic, and everyone was frantically trying to figure out why more and more people were becoming, well, not people.

He clicked the T.V. off and rolled off his bed with a groan. It was only the second day of his holiday break from college, and he was already in the routine of sleeping in. Normally, he'd be out and jogging, maybe even lifting some weights, but the recent snowfall kept the human inside. He instead wrapped his comforter around him and grabbed his tablet. Despite being on break, he still had a paper to do, and figured now was as good a time as any to get some research done.

He opened up Word and started sifting through all his notes on his paper. He wanted to get a head start on his thesis studies, and chose the recent surge in "Anthro" mutations as his focus. He had spent the last couple of days skimming the net for the "recent studies" the news kept going on about. He had found a few relevant posts here and there, but nothing groundbreaking that would help him along. He found possible reasons varying from viral infections to general mutations; there was even one going as far to say it was similar to an STD. That one, he figured, was probably some 14 year old kid thinking this was all a joke. Still, he had enough possible reasons to start forming a hypothesis, and got to work researching the "causes".

_ "It is predicted that over the next decade, more than half of the world's current population will have undergone some version of the "Anthro Mutation". Researchers are currently studying the newer Anthro's in hopes to discover..."_

Not more than 10 minutes into his "research", which mostly consisted of getting side-tracked by T.V., his messenger started to flash. He tapped the icon, pulling up a screen name he hadn't seen quite some time.

RatharnDrago: Hey man.

It took him a few moments to realize who it was before sitting up in his bed with a grunt, his laziness kicking in once more.

LyinBarin: ... Kyle?

LyinBarin: Dude, I haven't heard from you in forever!

RatharnDrago: Heh, yeah man. Sorry 'bout that. I got really busy with school and stuff.

RatharnDrago: Was sick for a little while, had some life changes to sort out, but I'm good. How about you dude? How you holding up?

LyinBarin: Eh, can't complain. School's kept me busy, finally on break though!

RatharnDrago: Haha, awesome. You got some free time? We should meet up at The Bean for a coffee, catch up, ya know? LyinBarin: Sure, wanna meet up in like an hour? I'm free now.

RatharnDragon: Awesome, I'll see ya there.

Zach smiled to himself. He had not seen Kyle in what seemed like an eternity. Last time he had seen him, Kyle had seemed blue. They were catching lunch just as it had started to warm up again. Kyle had a friend from the States over, though he was never seen with him. Zach had thought it strange, but decided it best not to ask at the time. The next day Kyle was nowhere to be found. Zach tried calling, but his phone was off. The moment he started to worry, he got an email from Kyle, saying he'd be gone for sometime, and that he'd be back. That was almost 6 months ago, and he put that out of his mind for now. He was just glad to finally be able to meet up again. He rolled off his bed and out of the warm blanket, stumbling across the room in a rush. He quickly replaced his PJ bottoms with a pair of bootcut jeans. He pulled on a mockneck and threw on a blazer, stuffing his tablet in his backpack as he slipped into his shoes.

The snow laden streets were desolate, empty with cars as everyone rested warmly in their homes. There were a few people spotted on the streets, but not the normal bustle the town was normally full of during the weekend. Zach walked quickly through the snow, enjoying the brisk air and general silent feeling the day had to it. Only the crunch of the snow under his shoes accompanied him as he made his way onto Queen Street. He noticed that the further into town he went, the more Anthro's he saw roaming the streets. He didn't think much of it, but found it curious. Maybe there's some merit to the theory of it being something contagious after all... he found himself thinking. He quickly shook the idea from his head though, he wasn't about to let school sit on his mind right now. He turned into and crossed the parking lot before the café.

The Bean was a small café, only able to hold 20 people at a time. It was Zach's favorite spot to kick back and enjoy a good cup of coffee, and often times found himself dozing off in front of the fireplace in one of their comfortable leather chairs. He quickly made his way over to the counter and ordered two double hazelnut shot lattés with light cream on top. It was Kyle's favorite, and Zach himself grew to like it over time. He took the two drinks over to his favorite spot by the window, just close enough to the fireplace to stay warm, and with a great view.

He scanned the café for any signs of Kyle, but saw no one. He was a bit early, but only a few minutes at best. He sipped at his coffee as the other sat on the table, watching out the window for his friend. Countless people, both normal and Anthro walked by, some entering the café, others ignoring it completely.

He had drank almost half his own coffee when a large anthro dragon padded up to his table, taking the opposite seat. He was wearing a grey hoodie, form fitting enough to show off his broad build, his body easily taking up the entire seat. The sudden presence made Zach jump, his gaze previously completely focused on the white streets outside.

"Zach?", the white dragon questioned, tilting his head a bit.

"Yeah?", he replied. He looked over at the large dragon confused, How did he know my name?, he wondered. "Do I know you?"

"Maybe! We used to know each other, maybe... 5 months ago? It has been some time since you saw me. You look so small now! I remember having to look up at you!", the dragon laughed. His friendly tone of speech threw Zach off, surely he'd remember someone so massive, and an anthro even! That last bit really got to him, when would such a large dragon ever have to look up at him?

"Look... I really can't figure out who you are, and I don't want to come off as rude or anything, but I'm kind of waiting for someone.", Zach responded with a sigh. He glanced down to his phone and turned his gaze back to the window. It had started to snow, soft flakes falling from the sky as he looked over the street.

"Well, alright then.", the dragon laughed, getting up and padding over towards the fireplace. Zach watched him out of the corner of his eye, catching him pulling out his phone. The dragon typed away, and not more than 3 seconds later, his own phone buzzed.

Zach jumped at the sudden vibration, shaking his head a bit as he looked down. A text from Kyle:

_ You're an idiot aren't ya? Need me to be more obvious?_

Zach's brow furrowed, confused at the text. He stood up and looked around, walking around the small café, carefully investigating every corner. He was literally the only patron there, aside from the dragon. He huffed once and walked back to his table, only to find the dragon sitting snug in what was his chair.

He stood there, arms crossed as he stared down at the dragon, "Seriously dude? What are you getting at?"

The dragon smirked and shook his head, pulling out his phone before typing again, this time dialing a number. He held the phone up to his head as it started ringing. Zach grumbled as he watched, his phone vibrating at the rings. He pulled his phone up and answered, looking out the window.

"IT'S ME YOU IDIOT!", the dragon roared into his phone, making Zach jump and hold his own far from his head.

Zach nearly dropped his phone at the sound, shutting his eyes tight as the dragon started to laugh. He stared down at the laughing beast, unable to believe what he had just heard. Kyle had said that he went through some life changes, but this? There was just no way. He slowly took a seat, his eyes glued to his friend as he caught himself struggling for words. "K... Kyle?!"

The dragon nodded, settling down as he smiled over to Zach, a rumbling sound echoing through his chest, "That's me! Although, ever since I got all... anthro, I started going by Rath. Just seemed to fit, ya know?"

Zach shook his head, still caught up in the situation. "Dude... how did this.. why didn't you tell me? What happened?"

Rath shrugged, "I dunno. You remember that friend I had over? Well, he was an anthro too. One night... well, we kind of messed around. I started to feel kind of weird the next day, and well, here I am." The dragon reached forward, gripping the small mug as he sipped at it, smiling a bit at the familiar taste, "You remembered?"

Zach laughed quietly, "It's no big deal man, it's pretty good. My favourite here now." He looked down at his empty cup and then back up at his friend, "So.. you guys fucked around, and now, you're a dragon? That's insane man, how did you hide this from everyone?"

Rath continued sipping at his coffee, "I stayed with my friend for a bit. He was there for me during the.. change I guess you could call it. It was really surreal the whole thing." "I bet it was. I'm actually writing a paper on the whole, rise in changes, think I could prod you about it a bit?", Zach questioned. He motioned to get up, "I'll be back, I'm all coffee'd out-"

The girl from the registered had walked over and cut into the two's conversation, "I'm sorry guys, we're actually about to close up shop, would you mind finishing up and leaving?"

The pair nodded, Rath quickly downing the contents of his mug before handing it to the girl, "Thanks. It was really good." He stood up and motioned towards Zach to follow him outside.

Zach got up and walked outside, pulling his jacket on as they stood on the sidewalk, the snow continuing to lightly fall as the sun set in the distance. "Dang, it's getting late isn't it?"

Rath nodded, stretching a bit. "Yeah, we should probably get going, eh? My place is still just around the corner."

The snow crunched under Zach's shoes and Rath's paws as they walked down the street. They crossed through the familiar parking lot before stopping at the corner. Zach had a million and one questions for his friend, Rath was sure. "Got anything you wanna ask Zach?"

Zach looked up over at his friend, "I got a whole bunch of stuff to ask ya man. Like, what happened, during the... transformation. What was it like? Do you know what caused it?"

Rath turned his gaze to the cloudy sky, wrinkling his nose a bit at the snowflakes, "Well, it was all pretty intense. First my body started to get all fuzzy, and then these scales started to pop up on my chest, and erm.. .well.. some other stuff happened." He chuckled lightly and looked over to Zach, who was tapping away at his tablet. "You a journalist now or something?"

Zach glanced up from his tablet and shook his head, "No... not really. I just got a thesis I'm working on and I think you could really help out, ya know?" He turned his head back to the tablet, tapping away as he looked at Rath, almost expectantly.

"Erm.. well. I guess if you wanted to hear my story I could tell you. But would you mind not using my name or somethin? I'd rather this not become some huge public thing.", Rath requested before continuing on, "And it's kind of a long one so, do you wanna head over to my place for a bit? At least get out of this snow? I'm fine, but I got fur. You don't." He said, adding a prod to the backside of Zach's tablet for emphasis.

Zach rolled his eyes with a nod, "Sure, sure. You don't live far right? Like right around the block or something?" He stuffed his tablet away and turned around, looking across the street.

The dragon nodded with a purr, "Yeah, you can actually see it from here.", he spoke, smiling at his friend from behind. He padded up and wrapped his arms around Zach, a soft smile on his face as he rubbed his furred snout against Zach's bare cheek. Zach jumped a bit at the sudden movement, a grin forming across his face as he chuckled, "Heh, missed me that much Rath?" He raised his arms to hug around those thick arms around his torso, tapping them once, "C'mon, I'm gettin' cold."

Rath chuckled and nodded, letting go of his friend as he bit his lip once, smooth move Rath. He padded up along side Zach and led him down the street. It wasn't a far walk, but it was long enough for Zach to explain how hard this thesis was, and how much trouble he was going through trying to figure out reasons for the recent changes.

The pair turned the corner and Rath let Zach up the nearby snow coated stairs. He led them inside, shaking off the snow on his hoodie and paws, almost like a wet dog. Zach stared on, almost like it were some sort of a show on how someone so human could change into something so animalistic in such a short amount of time. He kicked off his shoes and stepped into the Rath's apartment, dark, but cozy in experience. It was just how he remembered it, almost empty, but every bit of furniture fitting it's purpose.

He took a seat on the futon, shivering a bit at how cold it felt before pulling out his tablet again, returning to his tapping. Rath padded in a short time after, peeling off his wet hoodie and tossing it over onto the nearby table, covered in papers. With his back to Zach, he stretched with a groan, his smooth white fur shifting and bristling as his body cracked, audible enough for his friend to hear. He smiled and padded over, plopping down on the futon as he tossed an arm up over Zach's shoulders. "You cold buddy? Christ, I've forgotten how much this fur keeps me warm already!", the dragon laughed before flicking on the heater with his tail.

Zach nodded, leaning against Rath's sides as he jabbed him in the sides, "Yeah, well we aren't all walking fuzzballs ya know!" He snickered and quickly returned to the topic on his mind, "So, you already explained the process of change, for the most part. How fast was it? Are we talking days, months, seconds..?"

Rath rolled his eyes as leaned back, resting his head on the futon, "Well, believe it or not, it happened over the course of a few minutes. No more than 10 tops."

Zach raised an eyebrow, "Really? You went from that small guy to this hulking mass in 10 minutes? Christ, didn't that hurt?"

"Nope! Not at all, it kind of, felt good actually.", Rath coughed out, blushing a bit as he scratched his cheek with a claw. "It's like my senses were on overdrive, everything just felt so vivid. I mean... feel this fur man." He held his arm out, offering it to Zach.

Zach set his tablet down after some more tapping and ran one of his hands across that thick arm. Rath's fur really was smooth to the touch. Almost like a bed of silken feathers. "Oh wow dude, this is somethinig else.", Zach said, looking up at the dragon, catching his blush, "Hey, uh.. are you alright Rath?"

Rath coughed a couple times and moved to pull his arm away, only to feel Zach grip at it. He let out an instinctive whine and looked down, those small human hands dug into his pearly white fur. He turned his gaze to Zach and lowered his snout a bit, his tail curling up around one of his legs. "Zach... remember how I said I wanted to catch up? Well.. I was really hoping to tell you something."

Zach tilted his head a bit, looking up Rath curiously. "Yeah? What's on your mind?"

Rath gulped and leaned in closer, licking across Zach's cheek once before pulling back, his own cheeks colored a light red, "I wanted to tell you that, I really did miss you, a lot. I've had a crush on you for a long time Zach, and the months spent away just... built up."

Zach caught himself blushing at the soft lick, getting goosebumps all over his skin as he reached up to press one hand against Rath's broad chest. He pulled back at the feeling of scales against his paw and looked up at Rath, "Uhm... I , had no idea Ky- Rath." He looked down, his eyes shutting halfway as he thought to himself, I wish you told me sooner... I never thought you'd think of me like this.

Rath pulled back a bit, standing and rubbing the back of his head. He padded over to the door and started to unlock it, "R-Right. Erm, hey, I'm sorry I dropped that on you. You can leave if you want, I don't want to make things any weirder than they might be."

Zach frowned a bit as he felt that warmth leave him, sitting on the cold futon alone. He looked up and shook his head, patting the seat, "Dude, you don't gotta get upset. I felt that way a while ago, but didn't think you felt the same way. Come on man, get back over here, I'm freezin'!"

Rath smirked a bit and sighed, "Sorry man, just been a bit tense since I got back. I didn't really know how you'd feel about all this." He padded over and took the previous seat, purring as he wrapped his arms around Zach, pulling him close, "I guess you could say, this change made me only a little more.. forward."

Zach blushed a bit at the sudden grip, feeling his smaller frame press into Rath's larger, warm frame. He shut his eyes a bit as he relaxed under his friend's warm grip, nodding once, "Yeah, I kind of noticed. And I kind of like it, and the warmth." He smirked and hugged his smaller arms around those large ones, forgetting all about his paper in this moment.

Rath purred lightly, yet loud enough that Zach could hear it. "Well.. that's definitely not all it made me.", Rath said softly, sliding one large paw down Zach's arms and across his stomach. "Can I tell you a secret Zach? Something I've.. kind of been wanting to try?", he asked, biting his lower lip.

Zach moved to open his mouth to respond but found himself gasp. Rath has slipped that paw even lower, sneaking his warm fuzzy hand right into Zach's pants, purring even louder than before. He swore his face was on fire with his blush, freezing up in his friend's warm grip. He could feel Rath's paw shift around, moving over his boxers, those thick fingers gripping here and there as they found Zach's clothed length.

"I hope you don't mind..", Rath whispered gruffly into one of Zach's ears, sliding his nose against it with a low growl. He stopped moving his paw for just a second, waiting to hear any sort of sign that he was moving to fast. The only thing he felt was Zach's length underneath his paw slowly swelling. He smirked at the light throbs, shifting his other paw down to undo the human's jeans slowly, slipping both his paws into his friend's boxers, letting his soft digits finally meet with that bare uncut length. He let out a soft huff against Zach's neck, wrapping his fingers around that length as he started to stroke it. He slid his free paw up, tucking it under his shirt as he ran his claws up and over his stomach.

Zach shuddered at the touch, his heart pounding as he felt those large warm fingers wrap around his member. Even at a thick seven inches, the dragon's grip managed to hold most of it. He felt himself grind up against that soft paw as his blush deepened. He couldn't help it, the feeling was just too good. He gulped as he slid one arm back, shifting his body against Rath's as he moved his hand behind him to feel against that powerful scaled stomach. He shut his eyes as he moved his other hand to meet his friend's over his length, tapping it once, "Let me turn around... I got one last question for you.."

Rath tilted his head. He pulled his paws back as he sat on the futon and nodded to Zach. "Sure thing man, what's that?"

Zach smirked and sat up, shifting to face Rath as he looked over his firm form. His blush only deepened as he moved one hand to the dragon's lap. His eyes went wide as he felt that massive bulge under his hand and looked up to see Rath's tongue hung out. The dragon almost couldn't help himself as he pulled Zach towards him, growling loudly into one of his ears as he moved his paws back to his friend's length, pulling it out of the boxers confining them.

He moaned into Zach's ear as he leaned forward, pushing him to lay on his back slowly as he purred loudly over him. He started to grind his bulge against Zach's hand, panting softly as he rubbed his snout against Zach's cheek, slowly moving his lips over to the human's. His breath was heavy as he moved to kiss his friend, only to feel one hand slip between him and those lips. "W-What's wrong?" he grunted out, licking across that hand with a whine.

Zach's heart was racing as he felt the dragon lay him down. He had to fight every urge in his body to not give in to Rath's quick advances, "T-The v-vrus... infection...whatever... isn't s-safe Rath.." He spoke out in pants, his eyes shut as he felt his length throb up against those warm paws. "We can't.."

Rath growled low, almost mixing with a whine as he moved his snout to kiss at Zach's neck. "Shh.. I.. I know something we can do that's safe.. Trust me, I've done it before.", he whispered. The dragon shut his eyes as he kissed down over Zach's shirt. Rath slid his paws up from Zach's groin, sliding his shirt up just enough to nose and kiss at his flat stomach.

Zach's eyes shut halfway, watching as the dragon slid down his body. He raised his hands and pressed them against Rath's head, gripping those horns as he bit his lip. H-He's not... gonna... he started to think before moaning hotly, arching up a bit as he felt his friend's warm lips and tongue wrap around his cock. He could feel the warmth of that tongue slide up and down his length as he bucked up once from the pure pleasure. He shut his eyes tight as he gripped those horns even harder, feeling Rath's snout twist lightly as it rose and fall, coating every inch of his meat in that warm dragon saliva.

Rath could feel Zach's entire body tense up against his paws and snout. He groaned softly over that meat in his maw, vibrating it softly as he ran one paw down Zach's body, feeling his smooth skin under his pads as he growled. He smirked over that length, feeling it throb and pulse in his warm maw, using that slick tongue of his to stroke over every inch of that uncut cock he could get. He started to pant hotly over Zach's groin, making the human moan each time he felt his body get a blast of that hot air. Rath could taste his excitement, slurping up the pre that started to dribble out hungrily, lapping at the tip.

The feeling sent Zach's mind racing. He couldn't take it anymore. He tugged on Rath's horns, hearing the large beast whine as he sucked harder on Zach's girth. He moaned hotly as he felt his length slip out and hang free in the air, spurting pre up onto his shirt and stomach. He pushed on Rath, gently guiding him off the futon and onto his paws. Before Rath could even guess at what Zach was planning, he felt the human sit up and grip at his own pants, his snout turning a light pink again as he pushed his pants off, lustfully holding Zach's head against his now throbbing length, dripping pre through his own boxers, "O-Oh fuck Zach... A-Are you sure?"

The human nodded, to spurred on to care about what he was about to do. His friend had said it was safe enough, so why not? He licked across the outline of Rath's length, easily a girthy 10 inches. Zach groaned at the taste of the exoctic length. He groaned hotly as he reached up and pulled on those boxers, tugging them off as he searched for that thick cock. His eyes went wide as Rath's length slipped out free, hanging freely as it dripped pre. Rath rubbed one paw against Zach's head, purring softly, "Y-You're not gonna be able t- o-oh.. god.." Zach had opened his mouth wide and wrapped his lips around the throbbing black length, causing the dragon to moan loudly.

Zach's eyes shut tight as he struggled to suckle on that fat black shaft. He managed to suck a few inches into his maw before it became too much for him. He slid the thick cock out of his mouth as he licked his lips clean of the dragon's pre. "S-Shit Rath... You're huge..", he snickered to himself before nosing across those heavy furred orbs.

Rath smirked as he let out another soft moan, feeling Zach's face press against his groin. He pet along his friend's head before pushing it back, slowly slipping to kneel between the humans legs, "Heh.. some other time Zach... let me do this for now.."

"S-Sure.. ahh..", Zach moaned out as he spread his legs. The dragon had quickly resumed his previous session, slurping up and down that uncut length with a loud purr. Zach slid his hand through Rath's headfur, blushing deep as he shut his eyes and leaned back against the futon. He lost himself in the moment as he felt his rock hard dick throb and twitch against Rath's skilled black tongue. He gripped at the futon as he felt himself start to spurt thicker and thicker ropes of pre, and each time he did, he could feel the dragon's moan echo through his cock and body, making himself moan even harder than before.

Rath swirled his tongue all over that length. He purred loudly as he felt Zach's pre drip into his maw. He loved the taste and he only wanted more. He sucked harder, swallowing the entire length into his throat as he growled deep. He could hear Zach moan loudly as he gripped at the white fur on his head. He knew it was only a matter of time until he got what he wanted. He coiled his tongue around that length as he stroked Zach hard and fast, angling his snout as he felt Zach's length tense up and release.

Zach moaned loudly as he felt Rath send him over the edge. He dug his fingers into that soft fur as he held the dragon against his groin, his cum pouring out into his maw. He blushed furiously as he felt himself empty into his friend's snout, empty into an anthro's maw, and he loved the feeling. He held onto Rath's head as long as he could, feeling the best release he had in the longest time. "O..Oh shit..."

Rath purred softly as he slid off that spent length, smirking up at his friend, "Damn Zach.. that was a shit ton of cum... more than any human I've ever known to release!" He laughed a bit, licking up that length as he kissed over it once, standing up slowly as he tugged his boxers back up. He reached down to pull Zach up, smiling as he kissed his cheek once, "I hope you had as much fun as I did.."

"Heh.. You know it Rath... That was amazing..". Zach smiled up at Rath as he stood. Something didn't seem right though. He felt weak, almost like he had ran a marathon. He quickly sat back down and started to breathe heavily, a cold sweat breaking out all over his body.

His vision started to blur, stumbling for words before he passed out, "R-Rath.."
