Chapter 2 New room mates

As the rest of the day went by Luke could barely hold his excitement. He couldn't believe that he was going to be living with his new friends in an apartment! The day seemed agonizingly slow for the next two periods but the bell finally wrung and Luke practically zoomed out of his desk and bolted to the parking lot where he and the others agreed to meet. He stood there for a few minutes almost shivering in anticipation. He suddenly heard the sound of engines approaching and turned to the noise and was fairly surprised. He saw a beautiful silver 2013 Lexus RX Hybrid with a certain grinning dragon smirking Tyranitar at the front, followed by a black sleek 2013 Nissan Altima which was driven by Rynera and Mike in the passenger sit, finally came an amazing looking Kawasaki 2013 Ninja 300 that had a red body with blue flames on the sides driven by, of course, Flamedramon who had a black helmet on. Luke was absolutely dumbfounded 'how the hell did they afford all this!?' thought Luke as Runix pulled up to him, his grin getting bigger when he saw Luke's expression "hop in". Luke was at a loss for words "h-how the hell did you afford this!?" Luke hadn't noticed that Rynera had pulled up beside them and made Luke jump when she spoke "well since we were allowed to have our own apartment our government decided it would be wise to have our own transportation to and let us pick out any car we want" Mike butted in "but of course we were given a spending limit so that we wouldn't waste all our money" Then it was Tyranitar's turn to but in "most of us pooled in our money for these two cars, but SOMEONE decided to just get his own vehicle". All heads then turned to the masked digimon who flipped his visor "what? Excuse me for not wanting to share a beauty like this" He said excentuating it by hugging the bike. Runix chuckled a bit "well hurry up and get in, we've been waiting all day to show you our home" Luke smiled and quickly got in.

After a few hours of driving and a few not very clean jokes by Runix, they finally arrived at a very nice white two story apartment. It had four double windows in front and two in the back. There were a simple set of 5 stairs that led up to a particularly big door. Luke was still admiring when he felt a scaly hand on his shoulder and was about to look back but suddenly felt himself shoved forward and almost tripping as he was pushed up to the door by a certain blue lizard "c'mon don't just stand there! Go Inside!" exclaimed flamedramon as he pushed Luke up to the door. Luke regained his balance and found himself in front of the towering door. He grabbed onto the handle and pulled the door open revealing a very clean kitchen/ living room setting. To Luke's left was the kitchen. It had a fairly large island and a big black refrigerator and stove. The cabinets were glossed oak and the sink was very clean and shiny. To his left was the living room. There was a HUGE black leather futon that had cup holders on its sides. In front of it was a simple black colored oak table that had a few various magazines and some remotes. On the wall was a big black 60" flat screen TV and a TV center below had a home theater system. Beside that was a Nintendo Wii. And on the two first shelves we're an Xbox360 and a PlayStation 3 and the lower two shelves were various video games and movies. Right beside the TV and TV center were a set of nice polished stairs that led to the upstairs. Luke stared in amazement at the giant house 'their government gave them all this! For free?!' Luke's thoughts were interrupted when he suddenly saw Gerin's face in front of him "let'sssss go upssstairss to our roomsss" he said and started to slither up the stairs. Luke followed the naga upstairs. When he got to the stairs it was a long corridor with 6 different doors. He saw Gerin's head appear outside the third and quickly went over to the door and stepped in to a completely unreal world. It was dark but the lights from various different gaming systems could be seen clearly. The room was almost split right down the middle. One side having various pieces of beautifully drawn art of various different species and scenarios. The other side looking like a gamer's paradise. A huge desktop computer had been put beside a giant bunk bed. There was a big 35" flat screen TV that had everything from a NES to an Xbox360 below it inside a large entertainment center. There were various video games scattered around the room and also wires running in every direction. Tyranitar had entered a few minutes ago "as you can tell we all share bedrooms, this is me and Gerin's room" Luke smiled and continued to look around the room, starting to see that the two different settings almost blended in with each other. Gerin slithered up to Luke "I think Ryena and sssarah want you to go to their room next " he hissed out, pointing to the pair of them waiting outside the door. Luke nodded and apologized for not seeing them sooner. They brought Luke to the second door on the right and when he saw the inside, he had to stop himself from giggling in irony. On one side of the room there was a neat desk that had a laptop on it and a printer beside it. There was a neat laundry basket and trash bin beside the desk and the carpet was neatly vacummed and the wasn't a speck of dust on anything. However on the other side of the room it was completely opposite. There we're clothes everywhere on the floor, pictures of punk and metal bands were plastered everywhere on the walls and there were piles of CD's on one side of a Big TV just like the one in Tranters and Gerin's room. He started to giggle a little at the contrasting room and the girls noticed. "something funny?" asked a bemused Ryena . Luke continued to giggle "i-it's just that you guys are like complete opposites, how can you stand each other?" The girls smiled and wrapped an arm around each other "well you get used to things after a while, especially when it's your lovers things" Sarah said while staring dreamily at Ryena. At this Luke stopped giggling "wait you two are going out?" Ryena smiled "yup, back on our home planet I was doing bad at school so they gave Sarah to tutor me and it just grew from there" Sarah smiled "yeah, you we're really shitty at math" Ryena grinned "oh be quiet you brainiac" They both snickered and looked at each other lovingly. Luke smiled and suddenly saw that Runix and Mike were waiting by the door "ugh sorry to leave you ladies but I have to go see another room" The two just ignored him and continued staring at each other. Luke simply shrugged and left them alone and followed the dragon and shepherd. He was led to the fifth door in the corridor and when he saw the inside...he wasn't really surprised. It was the same format as the other rooms, a bunk bed, a tv and entertainment center. However this room looked more like one big room instead. There were small piles of clothes in random places, some sport and band posters, headphones and random chargers scattered around the room. Mike suddenly spoke up "it's not really as flashy as the other rooms but we like it simple" Runix came in as well "though it is sometimes tough deciding whats my and whats his" Mike nodded "yeah that does tend to be a pain" Luke nodded and could see how that could be a problem when his thoughts we're suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice and a scaled claw on his shoulder "now that your done seeing these losers rooms, you can see what a room should look like" said flamedramon, suddenly dragging the surprised human to the final door at the very end of the hall. Flamedramon stopped when he came to the door "alright now my little lackey, behind this door is the greatest room you will ever see, so prepare yourself cause I don't want to deal with a dead human" He turned the knob and whipped the door open and Luke's jaw suddenly dropped to the floor. The room was illuminated only by blacklight. All over the walls were swirly figures and hypnotic shapes that instantly caught a persons eyes. There was a 45 inch flat screen tv on the wall with big speakers on the ground below it. There was only one bed but there was a beautiful futon that, for some odd reason, was a weird neon rainbow 'probably some sort of dye or chemical he put on it' thought Luke as he stared at the room in awe. There were lava lamps on top of both speakers, on a nightstand next to the bed, and on the dresser in the far right corner of the room. "wow this room is.....it's..." Flamedramon grinned "fucking amazing, I know. See I spent my free money very wisely. Those markings in the wall? Tyranitar drew them for me. That futon? Bought that and the bed at a yard sale for just $400, The tv? I got it for a deal at a pawn shop, all these other guys just don't get how to get the better deal" Luke was in awe of all this. He was so distracted that he didn't see everyone enter behind him. Runix tapped his shoulder and Luke turned around with mild shock on your face "hey when did all of you get in here?" Mike grinned "well we wanted to see your face when you saw who you were going to be bunking with" Luke's eyes bulged out of his head "you mean-" Flamedramon suddenly came up behind him and got him in a headlock "that's right human, we're roomates now! But I have some rules that you need to follow, rule number one don't ever move my stuff around, number two you must learn to love techno, and finally rule three no frowns, if I see you frown so help I will make you smile even if I have duct tape one on you" Luke blushed a bit and agreed to the rules while everyone chuckled. "man I already feel bad for the poor guy" said Mike chuckling. Flamedramon grinned "oh shut up mike, your just upset you don't have a lackey" Luke blushed a bit more at this and laughed a bit himself 'man, I can't believe this is my room now....wait...how am I going to get any sleep with this guy?'
