Three things happened all at the same time. Ankh snuck up immediately behind the creature to bring her axe down on its head; Damien snuck up behind it on its right to slash into its right side with his new katana; and Issadore loosed a battle cry and hucked his sword at the creature, sticking it directly into its left kidney. Ankh's axe buried deep into the skull of the creature, while Damien's katana sliced at an upward angle through its chest to its left shoulder, making the bottom half of the creature drop to the ground, while the torso of the man-like creature stuck fast to Ankh's axe.

The battle cry had attracted others, two humans and another creature such as the one they had just felled. As they charged, Ankh began to grow, adding another two and a half feet to her height, and her body became twice its mass as she transformed into her hybrid weretiger form. She roared at the oncoming men, who stumbled to a stop before resuming their charge. Ankh swung her great axe forward, causing the torso to fly off and land at the feet of the lookalike. The blade hit the man nearest her, sticking in his chest at an angle, while Damien faded back behind the man-like creature.

As Ankh wrested the axe from the man's chest, Issadore continued to crouch in the shadows. As he watched, he thought about going for his sword. Remaining indifferent to the fact that the Kitarian he travelled with had become an abomination, he decided that the best course of action was to join the fight. Readying his dagger, he watched as the other two took apart the creatures, which he still didn't have names for. Seeing an opening, he took a step forward and hucked his dagger, watching as it flew through the air, cleaved the creature's pitiful weapon and than buried itself in the creature's chest as a hunk of the creature's weapon lodged in one of the eyes.

Having removed the axe, Ankh swung once again, this time catching her target on the other side, carving a "v" into his chest, which caused her opponent to drop to the ground and bleed to death. Coming out of a crouched hiding position, Damien takes his opportunity to strike from behind, as the creature shambles past, in a mighty upward swing, his blade first contacts and severs his left leg clean off at the upper thigh level, continuing its upward arc, the blade, continuing on its path of destruction, re-enters the body just above the hip, and in a crescent moon pattern removes the creature's stomach, one third of its intestines, a kidney, one lung, and its heart, as the blade ends its swath of destruction, exiting the corpse just under the left arm, ending its pitiful existence.

After they were done, Issadore turned to both Ankh and Damien and slipped a digit up to his mouth and shushed them, then walked away. Ankh returned to her normal state before cleaning off her weapon and following.

Finally, the trio happens upon a castle after the path takes a left turn. The glow that pervaded the cavern came from a large brass colored ball that hung above the castle. Issadore decided to scale the outer wall, from which he could see the inner wall and the buildings that filled the courtyard. The male Kitarian picked up a rock and threw it at the gigantic orb, which makes an equally large gonging noise.

"Oh, crap," moaned Damien after the noise ceased. Afterward, the whole of the cavern went eerily silent, with not even the sound of dripping water to be heard. Several minutes elapsed before anything happened. There was a massive roar and an explosion of ground, and the three just barely managed to avoid being buried alive from the fallout.

They were soon faced with the white dragon they had set out to find, having landed before them as quickly as it had ruptured forth from the ground. It gaped its massive maw to spew forth its frost breath, but all that happened was steam poured out as it breathed.

"Give me the crown," Ankh demanded.

The dragon tilted its head to the side. "Which one?"

"The crown of undead splendor." At that, the dragon once more spewed its frost breath at the large mouse, and hit her this time.

"You can't have that." Ankh laughed heartily, changing into her hybrid form once more.

"When you beg for your death, you will tell us what we want to know," Damien said as he stepped forth.

Ankh pointed up at the dragon and bared her teeth. "Come at me." The dragon began to charge at Ankh, but tripped over its own claws sliding to the ground its head getting bowled under its body rolling itself onto its back breaking a wing, but managed to get back on its feet, albeit dazed. Stepping forward, Ankh readied her axe and brought it down on the wing joint of the side that was now facing her. The dragon roared its pain as it looked back to see that the wing was hanging only by cartilage and sinew, but with gravity and the weight, quickly bereft itself of the dragon's body, falling heavily to the ground.

From out of the shadows Damien leapt high into the air, and, with the precision of a surgeon cleanly severed the dragons left wing from his body in one smooth motion. With time to spare, and a new found opportunity presenting itself, he began to carve up flank steaks out of the dragons left hind leg. Issadore, seeing an attack of opportunity, readied the cheap dagger he'd found lying on the wall. When he felt prepared, he threw it as hard as he could and just as Damien finished with the left hind leg Issadore buried the dagger in the creature's eye.
