Dialogue written with help from Zandr Storm and Dakota Outlander

"Oh, great . . . What kind of dragon, and why?"

"A white dragon, and I am to retrieve an artifact."

"If this is a personal mission, what's in it for the rest of us?"

"Do you know nothing of dragons?"

Damien looked flabbergasted at the assumption, considering his appearance. "If we are to go up against a dragon, and things go wrong," he paused for a moment. "When we have to cut and run, we're only going to be getting your item. What's the compensation for us?"

"Nothing can go wrong, we have Issadore with us."

"Issadore?"

At this, Issadore perked his ears and entered the conversation. "Yes?" He looked to Ankh before speaking again. "Why should we not fear because I am here?"

Ankh turned to the male mouse with solid, but misty, blue eyes. "Because you are our saviour."

"I am?" At this, Ankh merely nodded. "How am I a saviour?"

"There's not enough time to explain."

Damien broke into the conversation here. "How old is the dragon?"

"I only know that it is an adult." Ankh hadn't received much information from the other dragon, and very few were willing to give up much more.

"Oh, boy . . . what artifact are we looking for," he stopped abruptly to turn and point at some glowing letters before Issadore, "what the hell is that?"

Issadore blinked and looked up at the snake man. "Huh? I don't know, I'm just thinking."

"As a wilder, I make regular psionicists nervous. You go into a trance, making glowing letters in the snow; you say you're thinking, but don't know what you're doing? This makes me nervous to the success of this mission, and for my life."

Issadore shrugged at the comment. "Sorry."

"You're writing out a spell for hypnotism," Ankh chattered to Issadore in the high speech, to which the male mouse blinked.

"I am? I've been doing that since I was a squaller."

"That's what those symbols mean." She said before looking to Damien and switching to Elven. "Do you need to rest? And what is your name?"

"Damien, and no, I'm good."

"Then we should leave as soon as we can."

"Where are we going?"

"We are going to an abandoned dwarf city, half a day's walk northeast from here."

"If we are going to get there by the end of the day, beginning of evening, I'm not sure it would be in my best interests to go in there after having walked all day. I am not nocturnal."

"What is nocturnal?" Issadore chimed in.

"Up all night, sleep all day. It might be best if I got rest, before we tried to tackle this lair."

"Fine," replied Ankh in a curt tone. "While we do not require the rest at the time, we will accommodate you."

"Well, thank you."

"You're welcome," said Issadore. And thus, begins their journey.
