Sero was scared out of his wits and not being able to see his capture made everything more terrifying. The only thing going through his mind was Sora, he was quietly humming River Flows in You. The song calmed him down a bit and distracted him away from the pain he felt on his muzzle. Tears were running down his cheek and soaking the blind fold.

Footsteps came closer and closer to Sero. He stopped the humming and listened keenly to where the steps were coming from. His ears were perked up and were like little radars honing in on the source of the sound. Suddenly they stopped, his ears went flat because he knew the person was in right behind him.

"Why are you doing this?"

"It's actually very simple my little wolf pup. All you plain white freaks are an eye sore. I'm doing the world a favor and getting rid of you all," said the hyena with a cackle.

"Bu-"

The hyena sliced Sero's back with a box cutter. The wound was deep and quick to bleed; the red liquid ran down his back staining his beautiful white fur. Sero let out a blood curdling yelp. His head hung down and he began to weep of pain.

"SORA!!!!" he kept yelling no matter how many times he was cut or hit. The thought of Sora kept him going. _ I know you are coming to find me Sora. I just have to wait for you to come. I love you and miss you._

Sora was driving in a car with Leon to one of the warehouses. Before they left Leon pulled up information on the person holding Sero captive.

Leon was telling Sora the information as he was maneuvering through traffic. "His name is Mello Ventra Sentor age 25. It turns out that he was hospitalized in a mental institution from age 10-to-18."

"Why was he hospitalized?"

"He witnessed his mother being raped and killed by an albino anaconda. He was traumatized for life. When he was in school he tried to kill a student who was albino. His mother was his only family and his grandmother didn't want anything to do with him because it turns out he was a half-breed and was born early. She just sent him to a mental hospital and there he stayed for 8 years. He has a hatred toward any fur, scale, or feather that is all white."

"That's why the precise number of stab wounds, quick clean-up of the body and disposal. It also explains why all the victims were either white or albino. Sero was born a white wolf and he was ridiculed by his parents for being so. Now he's in trouble and I can't do anything to comfort him!" yelled Sora.

"Sir if it's ok with you, might I ask why he was ridiculed by his parents for being pure white?" asked Leon stopping at a red light.

"Well he was born early which makes him frail and both his parents were grey and black so having a white wolf pup was disturbing. His father accused his mother of sleeping with someone else so they got a divorce. His mother was so disgusted with him and blamed him for the divorce that she just left him on the streets alone. My family took him in and we became inseparable. Where ever we went we never went without the other," tears were streaming down Sora's cheeks. He wiped them away and said determined, "I said I would always protect him and that's what I intend to do."

"Good for you sir."

***** ******* *****

Sero was badly beaten and his white fur was stained with blood. He was breathing heavier and slower than normal. His tears began mixing with the blood running from the deep cut on his scalp; as he cried it gave the illusion that he was crying blood. Sora! Sora! Where are you! Please hurry!

"If you think he's going to come for you in time mutt. Your wrong they never came before I did all those things to the other furs," he said picking up Sero's muzzle with the metal bar. "Shall we begin the fun?" A satanic cackle echoed though the empty warehouse.

The doors to the warehouse were forced open and two agents rushed in guns drawn. They scoped the area and split up. They put everything they learned at the academy into play.

"Well it looks as though our time has been cut short wolf," the hyena looked displeased as he escaped through a window.

"HELP! OVER HERE! HELP! SORA!" yelled Sero as he struggled to get out of the chair.

Ceilia found Sero and quickly untied him. She was shaken at the sight of the lesions throughout his body. Sero was weeping as she untied him and was trembling terribly. He was glad someone found him before anything too serious happened.

"Thank you so much- thank you," said Sero through his sobs.

"It's ok kid. It's our job to help those in need."

"SERO!" yelled Sora as he rushed in with his gun drawn.

Ceilia called back to him, "Over here sir. He's ok just some wounds."

When Sora got to the scene he was taken back at the sight of Sero, his once beautiful white fur was stained red with blood. Parts of his shirt and shorts were also torn. Sora walked over to Sero as he took off his blazer. He put it around Sero and picked him up.

"Sora, y-your blazer w-will get dirty," stuttered Sero.

"It's ok Sero is just a piece of clothing. I want to hold you in my arms and never let you go. I love you," choked Sora through his own tears.

Everything seemed to be alright and dandy as Sora carried to Sero to the awaiting ambulance for medical treatment. The hyena was watching the whole thing from a nearby window. The sour look on his face said everything.

"I won't let you get away my little wolf pup."

The investigators wanted to question Sero but Sora refused that they question him now. They were relentless so Sora finally gave in on one condition, that he be present in the interrogation room with Sero as support. It was almost evening when Sero and Sora were escorted into the interrogation room. Sora was holding Sero's paw every step of the way; as they got closer Sero began to shake. He didn't want to re-live the nightmare.

"It's ok Sero if you can't talk about anything more just squeeze my paw and we can take a break okay?"

"Okay.."

Sora stopped to embrace Sero close, "I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you from the terrible things in the world."

Sero hugged him tight and whispered in his ear, "It's not your fault Sora. It was my own stupid curiosity that got the best of me and I let my guard down. Let's just put it behind us ok?"
