Jason Moore sat quietly in his small cockpit, gazing out at the stars in front of him, sighing in boredom. He had been traveling in space in his ship "Crystal Star" for quite some time, exploring the reaches of space hoping to find new life in order to make a name for himself. Jason came from a family that specialized in moving cargo from Earth to now the newly inhabited Mars. In the year of 2060 Earth's scientists had found a way to make Mars habitable for people to not only live but also to thrive on Mars. This eventually led to new businesses being created that would ship supplies and build more new and improved space transports so that that NASA could focus on their projects of space explorations and not have to divert time and money to ship supplies and build new space shuttles. Of the companies that made ships, the Moore Space Cargo Company not only specialized in making ships but also delivered ship parts and supplies to Mars. Jason's dad, Thomas Moore along with his brother John, started the company in 2062 and it has grown to be one of the top three ship building companies. Originally Thomas and John Moore ran the company together as head CEOs but Thomas Moore died in an automobile accident making his brother John, now the only CEO of the company.

The young son of Thomas Moore now bored of watching stars moved out of the cockpit, setting the ship's control to auto-pilot and headed for small kitchen area of the ship. Ever since his father died, Jason had always been interested in exploring other planets and discovering planets within the Milky Way galaxy that were just waiting to be discovered with the possibility of life on those undiscovered planets. While making his way to kitchen, Jason stopped and looked down at his necklace, which held a beautiful diamond like crystal that almost looked like a geometrical star only instead of four points it had eight. The necklace had been a birthday present from his father when he had turned 16, and Jason remembers vividly of that time, five years ago not only the feeling joy he had when receiving but also the love that his father showed him. Clutching the necklace, Jason quietly says to himself "I hope you are watching me dad, I am going to make you prouder than ever" and with that he headed to the kitchen.

"Well let's see here, what is on the menu today" muttered Jason as he looked the different selections of space packed food. The one thing that Jason never really had to worry about on this voyage was running out food because the ship that he was flying through space was a modified Z358 cargo transport. This was a year old model of the cargo ships made in the family business and one of the largest which worked greatly for Jason. It allowed a lot more food and liquids to be stored for the journey and allowed him to carry extra fuel reserves as well. While looking at the numerous selections of meals stored, an alarm went off throughout the whole ship and Jason putting aside his hunger rushed back to the main cockpit to see what had caused the alarm. However once Jason reached the cockpit, he did not have to look at the console to see what had the raised the alarm and what Jason saw made him turn white as a ghost. Somehow the ship had flown itself right into an asteroid field and now Jason practically leapt into the pilot seat to regain control of the ship. While Jason was a trained space pilot, this was one thing that could end his life no matter how much training he had undergone. Luckily the ship had been fitted the best metal hull money could buy but even with that Jason had to carefully maneuver the bulky transport ship through the field. Suddenly the who ship shook and a warning alert appeared on the panel indicating that two of the ship's five thrusters had been damaged, and Jason knew if he did not land soon, all of ships thrusters and engines could be destroyed. Seeing a nearby planet, Jason carefully and quickly maneuvered through the asteroid field, heading straight for the yellow green planet not knowing what dangers lay ahead for him.

Before entering the planet's atmosphere Jason did a quick a scan of the planet with the ship's onboard computer. To his surprise and relief that planet was pretty much like earth only it looked more of vast jungle planet with some noticeable desert areas. None the less the planet's atmosphere would not harm him physically and he would not need his whole space suit to breathe on the planet. As Jason flew through the atmosphere, a sudden explosion caused the ship to lurch forward and almost throwing Jason out of his seat. Another alarm flashed on the dashboard and when Jason saw it he cursed under his breath. Unfortunately the third thruster had been damaged but only this time instead of shutting down the entire thruster exploded causing Jason to lose control of the ship. When one thruster explodes, the other will mostly like shut down and Jason knew he had to land soon, and looked for a suitable place to land. He spotted a solid area of the desert where he could land and immediately activated the ship's lower hover thrusters, and shutting down the main thrusters knowing that this would be a risky landing. Jason set the hover thrusters to full power not caring if he used all of the fuel just land safely and this slowed the ship's descent. Somehow either by luck or a miracle Jason managed to land the huge transport ship onto solid desert ground. Breathing heavily, feeling like his heart was about to jump out of his chest, slumped in the pilot seat and muttered "Well that was fun, what else can go wrong" and to his dismay he heard the another thruster make a sputter sound and small boom. Groaning he made his way to the ships hatch, briefly putting most of his space suit on leaving the helmet off, a pair of special welding goggles and grabbing his tool kit, Jason stepped out on the surface of unknown planet. He looked around and it seemed the desert was endless except he noticed behind the ship there was a large jungle with enormous trees and strange fruit on some of them. Being nimble as he was Jason practically leapt up the side of the ship, activating the magnetic grips in hands and boots of his space suit allowing him to climb up to the thrusters to assess the damage of his ship. To his dismay, four of the five thrusters were damaged, two of them only slightly damaged from the asteroid field, one completely shot and mostly likely not able to repaired, and other needing an engine service. "Great I am going to be stuck here for days if not weeks just repair these thrusters and yet it looks like I'll have to limp back on three thrusters if not four at most. I knew I should have gone with two T4000 engines for instead of hoping those T2000 engines would hold out" Jason said to himself. "Maybe if I am lucky I can pull off some hillbilly engineering on the one engine that sputtered out" rolling his eyes as he said this. Jason hated getting creative in repairing old engines but in this case he had no choice. Pulling out the assortment of tools from his tool kit Jason managed to slowly make repairs on the two partially damaged thrusters reattaching the loose cables connecting the engine to the thruster itself and hammering out the dents made by the asteroids. Once finished climbed back down and before he headed back inside, he heard a high pitch yell, almost sound like cat's yell but it sounded human and following it a screech like roar. Hearing this Jason rush back inside the ship, dropping his tool kit and goggles, grabbed his G500 Full Auto Drilling gun, hunting knife, machete and ammo, Jason ran back out and darted for the jungle.

Cutting through the brush of jungle, then leaping from tree to Jason made his way to where the cries were coming from. When he arrived he could not believe what he saw. Down below was strange beast, looking mostly like an oversized komodo dragon only the head looked like someone combined the head of a Bengal tiger and the head of a komodo dragon together and this beast had long sharp claws that it used to tear at a tree and the beast had a long tail that consisted of a long sharped claw like blade at the head. The beast had apparently cornered something inside the tree and was trying to get to his prey. Even with the beast growling in frustration, Jason could hear the voice of someone inside the tree but could not understand what the voice was saying. However that did not matter right now and Jason lined up his gun at the beast's body. Pulling the trigger of shot gun part of the gun, Jason nailed a direct hit on the back of the beast. This caused the beast to cry out in pain but even with the direct hit, it did not do much damaged and it only caused the beast to charge in his direction. With its tail, the beast sliced at the branch holding Jason forcing him to leap at a much sturdier thick tree branch. Jason then began firing the full auto rifle part of the gun at the beast, only doing less damage than what the shotgun had done. At the last second the beast's tail lashed at Jason, barely nicking him in the arm which caused Jason to fall out of the tree but managing to land on his feet. The beast then pounced on Jason and just before the beast could sink its teeth into Jason, the young pilot shoved the muzzle of the whole gun into the beast's maw and pulled the second shotgun trigger, blowing the beast's head to pieces. Pushing the corpse of the dead beast off, Jason slowly made his way to the tree where the beast had clawed and yelled "Hey you alright?! You can come out now, the beast is dead! It can't... hurt you...now" Jason now feeling dizzy realizing he had been poisoned by the beast's tail and before he passed he saw a figure walking toward him but did not see what the figure looked like before he passed out.

Slowly coming too, Jason opened his eyes and in front of him, kneeling beside him was strange anthropomorphic creature. Jason could only describe this creature as form of an alien anthropomorphic cat. It has the face of domestic house cat but the body of a panther, with tan fur of a mountain lion, stripes like a tigers yet green and within the stripes, small green cheetah like spots. What really caught Jason's attention were the alien's eyes, the alien had two normal cat like eyes but a third eye in the middle of its forehead which was closed. From what he could tell, he assumed that the alien was female for it spoke in female voice but Jason could not understand what the creature was saying. The language sounded like a mix of Greek and Japanese dialect. Somehow the alien sensed that Jason could not understand her and so her third eye opened, glowing as the alien managed to read Jason's mind and looking for what language he spoke. Then her eye stopped glowing and closed, and asked Jason "Are you feeling better?" and Jason just laid there shocked and was at a loss for words. The cat like alien then asked him "Can you understand me?" Jason then snapped himself back to attention and answered "Yea I, I understand you" in a nervous tone. She smiled and said "You are very brave to have stood against the dracagun and to have also slayed it as well; tell what are you, I know you do not live on this planet so you must be a visitor from the stars" looking at the sky as she said this. "I am a human being from the planet, earth I was exploring the outer reach of space when my ship was damaged in you planets asteroid field" Jason explained as he slowly got up onto his feet. He noticed that his arm had been bandaged with strange cloth and turned back to alien in front of him. "Thank you for healing me, I guess I was careless to not bring some form of medicine with me" Jason said in a chuckling like way and the alien bowed and said "No I should be thanking you, you saved my life, I only did my duty as Kitarian jungle healer." "Jungle healer?" Jason asked, "Yes I am responsible for treating the wounded of my tribe, I came out here to find some herbs to medicine when I was attacked" she explained. Jason looked around and then asked the alien "So I am guessing this planet's name is Kitaria?" feeling like he was asking a stupid question. The alien cat giggled and responded "Yes this is the planet Kitaria, I am Minka of the South Jungle tribe, and you are?" she asked. Jason answered "My name is Jason, Jason Moore from Earth" and then leaned down to pick up his gun and strapped it to his back. "Where is your tribe located? After seeing how nearly became lunch for the beast, I feel it best to escort you back to your tribe so no danger will befall you" he said in a friendly manner. She looked at him, thinking it over and said to him "Follow me." Minka led Jason through a clear path which eventually led to the camp where Minka's tribe was located. Upon entering the camp with Minka, Jason saw numerous tribe members of Minka's specific breed emerge from small tree built huts, each male and female with the same body but yet different markings and lengths of fur on them, all staring at him, curious, some with friendly looks, others with somewhat protective angry looks but none went near him nor Minka. When both neared a much bigger tree hut, Jason realized Minka was not only a Jungle healer of the tribe, she is apparently the head chief's daughter. Looking down his crystal star pendant, holding it in his hand he thought to himself, "Well dad I guess this is truly the beginning of a new adventure on a new world" and stepped into the hut with Minka, not knowing what laid ahead of him in his new adventure on the planet Kitaria.
