Feelings
A mouse is in love with her otter friend and she finally plucks up the courage to ask her.
Once in a while you come across some random person and suddenly have a crush on them. Usually it doesn't last long. Then you have someone who you already have a relationship with that you suddenly start to feel in love with them and you want to make your relationship more intermit. However at the same time you fear losing the relationship you already have so you don't ask them. That feeling then starts to grow till you start wanting to just hug them or kiss them maybe even fantasising about them. But you still fear losing everything.
I had that felling once. She was an otter with beautiful gleaming brown fur, sea blue eyes and a smile that would make your heart skip a beat. What was I though? I was a simple mouse that stuttered when nervous and not much to look at either. She would never go for me she didn't even know I was homosexual, it wouldn't matter but I had never told her. Though we had been friends for a long time and if she said no it wouldn't matter or I could make it seam like I was dared to but then again...
I eventually plucked up the courage to ask her. She was standing with the rest of our group before school chatting about games and plans for the upcoming holidays. She was debating with one of the boys about the best strategy for taking a fort in a game they both played, I wasn't into it myself. "Yes a front on charge would be quick but could easily fail and lead to heavy losses where as starving them out would be slow but would be effective." She put forward. "However it is possible to stockpile resources before the invaders arrive then if you got wells in the city you won't run out of water and you can grow food in the city. A front on attack with espionage and surprise would topple the defenders in minutes as proven by the Fenrrir in almost all of there attacks on human fortresses." He countered.
My hands were sweating and my heart was beating out of my chest. "Esc...c...cuse me Em...m...m Emily." Even her name was harmonic but here I was stuttering." "One second Ken', what do you need Amanda." I almost fainted when she smiled at me, the sun gleaming in her eyes. "C...c...could I t...t...talk to you alone?" "Sure, I'll be back in a minute. You and I aren't done yet." She pointed to Kenneth.
We walked away from the group around a corner so they couldn't here us. She stood with her back to a cherry blossom in full bloom making her even more beautiful and me even more nervous. "I.... Uh...uh... was... uh... wo...wo...wondering." She put her hands on my shoulders and looked at me with her caring eyes that made me want to melt. "Hay calm little mousy. Now what do you want to ask me?" I was lost for words my heart out of control and sweat running off me like a river. "Would you, maybe, want to spend time together, just you and me?" I don't know how I didn't stutter.
Her eyes lit up with surprise. "We always spend time together." "I mean a d...d...d..." I couldn't say it. She put her finger over my lips. "A date." I nodded. She leant forward and kissed me, those sweet lips and the wonderful warmth of her body. I was sad when she broke away. "I've wanted to do that for a long time but I thought you weren't interested. I only said I was heterosexual because you did and I didn't...well." I kissed her again, enjoying it more this time. "That doesn't matter now we know but you still haven't answered my question of a date." I was calm now and found it so much easier to talk to her. "Of course I will my little mousy just tell me when and where." "Well I ...uh... haven't got that far." She smiled at me. "Let's have a picnic by the river, like we normally do but this time it will be more special." We kissed again and walked back to the group hand in hand with my head on her shoulders.
As friends were there was a little bit of teasing when we got back but they understood. School went by in a blur all I could think about was her. One of the teachers even asked me why I seemed so out of focus but we were on good terms so he was alright with it although he also teased me a bit. At the end of the last lesson the seconds ticked agonisingly slow waiting for the bell. Finally it rang and I was the first out of the room into the sunshine.
I ran over to where we usually met and there she was, waiting for me. She seemed even more amazing now we were together. I went up to her, she smiled at me then came forward for a kiss. "So how were your lessons then?" She said in her soft melodic voice. "Too long." I took her hand in a mine and we walked out of the school gates and across a field. Along the way I picked a flower for her, it was a cheesy thing to do but she liked the offer and put it in her tail. We stopped over at my house and we gathered together food for the picnic and a few treats.
The river was only a short walk from my house and we chose a spot under the shelter of a willow tree. We laid down the blanket and placed the basket on it. We weren't hungry yet so we spent the time snuggled together under the tree talking and kissing. Emily started to look distracted and before I could ask her what was wrong she gently pushed me off and started stripping to her underwear then I remembered she didn't where underwear. She took a running dive into the river hardly disturbing the surface of the water.
She surfaced a couple of minutes latter and bobbed where she was. "Come on in the waters fine." I stripped off my clothes and jumped in next to her. My entry wasn't as graceful as hers but the water was nice and cooling on this hot day. I swam over to her, suddenly feeling embarrassed about being naked, although we had seen each other naked before this time was different. She came close to me and we started kissing, pulling each other in close. We kissed for a long time before she broke away and dived under the water. I followed, getting a good look at her body which was just as perfect as the rest of her. I swam close to her starting to run out of air. She kissed me under the water and gave me some of her air. We resurfaced a few moments latter and kissed some more.
When we got hungry we climbed out onto the back to dry off. The water made her fur beautifully sleek. "What was that thing where you kissed me under water?" I asked. "It's an otter thing, we do it to show our love for our partner, it's sort of like saying we share each others lives." She went over to the picnic swishing her tail more then she needed. We sat down together and ate through most of the contents sharing some of our food in a cheesy romantic way.
Soon it got dark. We put our cloths back on and headed home. She walked me to my house. "Thank you Amanda I enjoyed today a lot. We should date more often." She said smiling. "Well the holidays are c...c..." I started stuttering again. "Hey, calm. We will do more of this in the holidays and see where that takes us." She leant forward and kissed me. "Good night my little mousy." She left me there and started walking home. My heart was aflutter and my head was spinning. I opened the door and walked inside. My brother was in the living room. "Why are you so happy?" "I just spent the best day of my life with the girl I love most." I went of to bed wanting tomorrow to come sooner so we could be together again.
