There are many things we don't know about in the mysterious world of the military, Project Draco is one of them. I was recruted into this project against my own will at the age of 14. My life went from normal to dodging bullets everyday of my life. You could say that I know death personally. But when you have wings, scales, talons, and can breath fire, you already have a target on your head It's just a matter of time. This is the story of my life, as a Project Draco recruet............as a dragon.

"BOOM!" a large explosion immediately roused me. I woke with a jump, causing Faline, who had her head lain over my neck to wake also. I looked around for a moment, the explosion had also roused the others, and they were looking around the Mosque with confusion. I stood up and started looking around.

"What was that?" Scott asked with a confused tone as everything became silent. I could hear a few faint clicks, then one large click. "Shit, MOVE!" I yelled as another BOOM rang out, ripping a huge hole through the Mosque. The explosion sent Carson and Aaron on there backs. I ran toward them as a flurry of Gun fire started to rain down on the Mosque.

Another explosion soon filled the air, causing me to stumble. When I reached them, they had already got themselves up, and we were now standing where a large statue of Allah once stood. The dust then started to settle, reveling a large force of Pakistani military, who were backed up by a tank.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Firedrake yelled in anger. They were all on a knee with there weapons poised to kill us. "Any ideas Taro?" Blitz whispered to me. I gritted my teeth before replying, "Give me a second!" "We may not have that long!" Blitz whispered while giving me an angry look.

"Just, Stay, Still." I heard Scott say through the headset. I then turned to look at him, but he wasn't with us anymore. "Scott, whatever your about to do, make it fast!" I ordered through the headset. Seconds later, the tank exploded, causing everyone to turn to look at it. "NOW!" I ordered before firing into the crowd with my SAW.

While we were firing at them, Firedrake fired a 105 into the wall beside us, leaving a large escape hole. "Come on!" Firedrake yelled over the fire. I turned and ordered everyone out before firing a few rounds and leaving. As we exited the building, I quickly looked at the sun to determine our direction, then looked at the ground to see what we had in our way.

We had to go through the town square, which was still empty. "LETS GO!" I yelled to the others before running down the hill toward the square. As we reached the square, fire started to rain down on us. "Get to cover!" I yelled before turning and firing my 20mm at the hill.

After there fire had ceased, I turned and ran to the others, who were in an alley behind the building that the sniper used to kill Sam. "Base do you read me!" I said into the headset. "Copy Talon, what do you need." the voice replied. "We need that EVAC bird ASAP." I replied to the man. "Copy, bird is on its way." the voice said causing my heart to leap with joy. "Talon out." I said before turning to the others. "We need to get to the EXFIL point ASAP." they nodded there heads before we started running toward the EXFIL location.

We came to a stop in a  large, barren area covered with sand, our EXFIL point. I started looking around as the sound of vehicles could be heard in the distance. "Were are you X-RAY!" I yelled into the headset to the V-22 pilot. "7 minuets out Talon, hold out for just a bit longer." came his reply. I slammed my paw down onto the ground before a technical came over a hill about 300 yards away from us.

I turned to its direction as multiple vehicles appeared over the hill after it. "How's your ammo?" I asked everyone. "Yellow." they replied. "Good, because were going to have a Hell of a fight." I said before turning to the trucks. Soon, they began to fire upon us. There was just no end to them, once one was dead, another would take its place.

"Taro, there overrunning us!" Faline yelled as they grew dangerously close. "X-RAY, WHERE ARE YOU!" I yelled into the headset. Seconds later, a loud humm of a V-22 nose cannon could be heard over the gunfire, followed by the sound of propellers. "Get your asses on here!" the pilot yelled to us. "Go, go, go!" I yelled to the others before the V-22 landed.

We all started to sprint toward the aircraft while the insurgents grew closer and closer to us. Bullets could be seen bouncing of the aircraft as we neared it. I stopped beside the aircraft and turned to the insurgents and started to fire at them as everyone loaded into it.

Blitz stopped beside me, turned, and also started to fire upon them. "Lets go!" I yelled to him before stepping into the back of the aircraft. As I entered it, blitz yelled out in pain. I turned to see him lying against the edge of the ramp. "Blitz!" I yelled before going to his side. "Come on, Get up!" I yelled to him as he stood.

"Taro, go. You guys wont make it without covering fire." he said to me weakly. "NO, WERE NOT LEAVING WITHOUT YOU!" I yelled at him in anger. "I'm not asking you!" he said before shoving me into the aircraft and turning to fire on the insurgents.

"Blitz!" I yelled as the V-22 started to lift off. "No, we have to get back down there!" I yelled again before making a run toward the back of the aircraft. I didn't make it far before Faline jumped onto my back, causing the aircraft to shudder. I knocked her off of me and went the edge of the aircraft. There was nothing I could do but watch helplessly as the insurgents grew closer to him.

He suddenly collapsed and attempted to stand, but an insurgent charged him and fired his weapon from point blank into Blitz. I closed my eyes tightly at the sight of this. I then shook my head before closing the rear hatch of the aircraft.
