Hi there! This is a new story I wrote about... Um, actually I'm not quite sure. But I still think it's pretty good. The characters in the story that aren't mine are:

Foshu, who belongs to Foshu on FurAffinity

Victor, who belongs to htfcuddles

Swift, who belongs to RenaAyama

Thanks to these guys and all of my other friends. Because you are my friends, even if you don't know it

Hi! I'm Jeff! That orangey red wox with the jeans and head bandage. I'm on holiday! Or, well, I'm following one of my friends who's in Germany. I was following Swift, the adorable arctic fox. He was sitting on a park bench, by the looks of it drawing. I pick up my favourite rifle, the Lever Action Marlin .30-30 calibre rifle. I reload it and chamber a round. From my current position in a small alley I had a clear shot at Swift. But the best place would be... On the roof of the three story building to my left. I sling the rifle over my back,

grab my sword in it's sheath and sling that over my back as well. I climb up along the drainpipe and onto the roof. A slanted tin roof which then started to burn my feet as I stood on it. I stood on a piece of wood which was hot, but nowhere near as bad as the tin. I crouch down and pull my rifle off my back. Even better than the alley. I had an even clearer shot at Swift. So where were they? Wait... In that tree over there. I think there's a tiger with a .50 calibre rifle sitting in it. I saw the telltale leather muzzle and knew the tiger was with Them. I take aim and fire. Not at Swift, but at the tiger. CRACK! This of course scares Swift quite badly, but if he knew what I was doing he would thank me. The tiger falls out of the tree and onto the ground. And evaporates slowly into red mist.

Wha?!? It's a trap! I turn and see a muzzled grey wolf just in time to get shoved off the roof.

This is when my training comes into play. I immediately twist my body into the exact position it needs to be in to land without breaking any bones. I smack into the ground and am instantly winded. I pick myself up, despite not being able to breathe and force myself to recover. I rip my sword out of it's sheath and inspect it quickly. It was thankfully undamadged. My Katana was still three and a half feet long and was still sharp. I run over to the park bench which Swift is hiding under and stab the lion about to shoot Swift with a shotgun. He falls over, blood pouring from the wound in his chest. I sweep up the shotgun with my foot and stick the barrel of it into my sword sheath. I leap in front of Swift and switch my sword for the shotgun. I shoot another two of Them, a fennec fox and a cocker spaniel. I grab Swift's arm and pull him out from under the bench and shove him behind me as the grenade thrown by a rabbit explodes under the bench. I regain my senses a couple of seconds after the explosion just in time to see the rabbit about to shoot Swift, who's lying on the ground barely conscious. I pull my sword out of its sheath and hurl it as hard as I can at the rabbit. It stabs into his eye and he immediately falls to the ground. I walk over to Swift and see that he has second degree burns on his back. My wounds were worse, but I pull my burn cream out of my pocket and drop it in front of him. He looks up at me and I retrieve my sword from the rabbit and hear Swift's frightened voice behind me say:

"Who are you?"

Part of me wanted to tell Swift that I was Jeff, and I was his friend, but the rest of me knew that Swift knowing who I am would get him killed. Or worse.

I sigh, and respond with: "I am no-one."

I sheath my sword and sprint off down the street. Wait... Bugger! My rifle! It must still be lying on the ground from where I fell of the building! And it has my name on it! I skid to a stop, turn and sprint back down the street. I see Swift about to pick up my rifle and I dive and grab my rifle, turn the dive into a roll and keep sprinting down the street. Swift was safe... For now. But now They were going to go after another of my friends. Wait. The grey wolf! He's still there! I skid to a stop again and start to sprint back I rip my sword out of it's sheath again and see the grey wolf about to stab Swift. And I wasn't going to make it!

"Swift! Look out!" I yell. Swift ducks on instantly and the grey wolf's sword whistles through empty space. Swift then turns and kicks the wolf in his... Male parts.

The wolf drops to the ground in agony. Swift then grabs the wolf's sword and decapitates him.

I skid to a stop next to Swift.

"So you're Jeff? Thanks for saving me." Swift says.

"No. This is Jeff's rifle. I'm not even related to Jeff. I killed Jeff, a long time ago." I say.

And then I turn and sprint off. Again. I hate lying to Swift, but its better he doesn't know about me.

WHAM. Not knowing what just happened, I passed out.

"Ugh." I mumble. My eyes instantly open wide and I take in the situation. I am chained to a chair. I am in a small steel lined room with a steel door. There is one of Them, The cublings, as they call themselves sitting in a chair in front of me. But cublings doesn't even make sense. Oh well. She, the black panther cubling sitting in front of me, had a muzzle on. Which meant that she was evil.

"Ah, so you're awake. I'm Te-" She began.

"I don't care. Drop the ruse. There aren't any female cublings." I interrupted.

"Very observant." Then she morphed back into Tkan, the black panther cubling leader. He was in charge of all the black panther cublings. "So how does it feel?"

"How does what feel?"

"How does it feel to have killed one of your precious friends?"

"What? I haven't killed any of my friends."

"Bring her in." He says. The door opens and the fennec fox I shot earlier is dragged in and laid face-down on the ground. Tkan rolls the fennec over and I see her face.

Foshu? No. This fennec has a muzzle. And it's a female which means that it's not real.

"Really? Foshu is a girl. Girls cannot be cublings. I thought you would of realised by now. Obviously I was wrong." As I said this the illusion evaporated into red mist.

"So, how are your friends."

"They're fine and safe, thanks to me."

"But you're the one who put them in danger in the first place."

"Don't twist my meaning. I will protect them. They won't end up like my last group of friends."

"But they will. You're just putting them in danger."

"No, they won't, because I will protect them, whatever the cost."

"But we're protecting them. From the monster that is you."

"How?"

"By putting them in danger we are forcing you to protect them."

"Guess what? I don't believe you. Everything you do is to hurt me. And you made me into this 'monster' that I am."

"Ah Jeff. So naive. I remember when we last met. You were just a cub."

"Yes, a cub. And I was tied to a pole while you whipped me..."

"You're not still angry about that, are you?"

"How could I not be? You killed my family and my friends, destroyed everything I cared about and then filled the rest of my childhood with pain and suffering."

"It wasn't that bad-"

"Thirteen years! Thirteen years of abuse. Only two things can come out of that: a psycho murderer, and me."

"But Jeff, you're not either. You're a cubling like us."

"No! I am not a cubling! I am Jeff! I protect, not harm."

"But you already do, you hurt Swift. Swift just wanted to know you, and you refused him that right."

"If Swift learnt who I am, he would become an even bigger target to you. He would be turned into a cubling and made to suffer infinitely to harm me."

"Ah, so you've started to think like a cubling."

"As they say, you have to think like a retarded psycho to find a retarded psycho." I say, enjoying the irritated look on his face.

"So you kill now? You enjoy it, do you not?"

"No, I do not. I kill because its the only way to save my friends."

"It's not the only way."

"It's the most efficient."

"The most efficient is to kill them so you don't have to look after them."

"The most efficient REALISTIC option is to kill all the cublings so I don't have to protect my friends."

"You're trying my patience."

"Well, you're pissing me off!"

"... Jeff, please listen."

"So you can feed me more lies?"

"So you can speak to your friend Victor."

"What?"

"While you were saving Swift we went and, paid Victor a little visit." And the door swung open again and Victor was walked in. With a muzzle. He looked exactly like Victor. Big yellow bunny with long red hair and a red tail.

"Hello, Jeff" He said with a certain hate in his voice I'd never heard.

"You're Dnu'kal, not Victor."

"Dunoocal? Who's that?"

I turn to Tkal and say:

"This is obviously not Victor for two reasons. One, he is playing dumb. Every bunny or rabbit knows that Dnu'kal is their leader. Two, he knows who I am. Victor does not, has not, and will never know me."

"You know lots about the cublings." Says Dnu'kal, after transforming back from Victor. He looked just as I remember from my childhood. Cream coloured Hare with a scar over his left eye. "You should be one."

"Never." And at that point I manage to cut through the chain with my denim coloured file that was hidden on my jeans before I removed it. I rip off the chains and smash my chair over Tkal's head. Unfortunately for him, it was made of metal. I turn to Dnu'kal and am immediately hurled backwards through the air by his telekinesis.

"You are strong like a wolf and cunning like a fox. You will make a good cubling." He said.

I fade into unconsciousness.

Ugh. I sit up. Darkness surrounds me, and I'm sitting in a puddle. I get up. They took my jeans. But that's not what really annoyed me. It wasn't that they took my head bandage. It was that they put me in an isolation spell. An isolation spell where I can't help my friends. An isolation spell to hurt me more. An isolation spell that is... slowly fading away? I leap up again in the same steel room. Dnu'kal is standing there.

"Wait here a moment Jeff." He says and walks out and closes the steel door.

Argh! No!

(Dnu'kal's point of view)

I close the door and turn to Tkal.

"We need to do it." He says.

"Alright. In a moment I'll open the door and-" CRASH!

I turn and see Jeff standing in front of a Jeff shaped hole in the four inch thick steel door.

"How in the...?" Tkal says.

I knock Jeff unconscious and turn and nod to Tkal.

(Jeff's point of view)

Waking up again was a challenge. But I'm in the living room of my house. My jeans and head bandage were on the ground next to me. And a note as well. I snatch up the note. On it is written:

'You should really consider becoming a cubling. Now that you have the look.

Regards

Tkal'

I rush over to a mirror. The muzzles can't be removed. And I was wearing one.
