The Decent prt 2
Well this is part two. I think i did a lot better with this part :3
The sky was bright and had slight amounts of fog within the air. Mountains of different shapes and sizes covered up most of the land, and the environment held some of the most bizzare plant life and the strangest animals one would ever even dream of seeing. Of coarse there were the average lakes and oceans,but still there was something off about the world I had now entered. Visions of people and places flashed before my eyes yet I do not recognize them.
"What does all this mean" I said staring into the trees around me.
The dragon who had been sitting beside me tending to my wound on my shoulder was still a little unnerving. I couldn't see his or her face and I did'nt even think it would understand my language if I spoke. I needed answers however so I thought about using the fursuit tactics of telling it my needs. I scratched my head while pointing everywere to see if that would work since I wasn't too good at miming.
"I still have no idea what your doing." he said patting my shoulder. "we went through this already so unless you wanna pass out again we can go through another part of the greeting".
"oh sorry". I sat up straight rotating my shoulder. "My name is Dragov and might I ask who you are as well as were in the world we are".
"names Robert and your in the deffend woods the most evil and haunting woods in all of anthropia."
I froze for a second pondering wich of those I was most confused about. Not only am I in an unknown world, but I also entered the worst part of it. "What makes it so evil" I asked shaking in my armour.
"No one knows.They all never came back. Its why im out here looking for them, but I havn't found a single trace of anyone at all."
"What do they look like?" perking my ears up eager to learn.
"Well there was a team of archaologists they had to go and explore a mysterious cave. Jenny ,who was a feline, was in charge of the entire groups safety. There was a equine named rocky that had all the equipement and research, and there was Kagar an orca who was a novice of traps, hunting, and dark magic. Thats all I know so far."
Out of my memories I did remember seeing an orca shrouded in darkness, but that vision was far too horrifying I didn't want to remember. Covering my head with my hands I try and get my barrings. " I think that team is gone" I said standing up with tears in my eyes".
"hmm what makes you so sure". He got up as well grabbing his mace." Unless your a mage theres no way to know for sure what happend.
"Well I did see some people in a dream I had and one of them was an orca"
"Still just partially constructed visions. Mages would have a staff that holds the essence of their own soul. But please tell me some of what you saw. It may help me locate them within this treacherous woods."
I recalled all of the parts and sat down around the little fire he had made.

When they recieved their orders from the chancellor they thought that it would be something good not explore some cave in the middle of some boring forest. Temples, ancient scriptures,and monuments are some of the things that kagar liked to research. When people say "evil" what they really mean is they can't fight it or they are too pussy to do anything about it.
The cave enterence was hollow and dark coated with a slimey substance, probably from a nearby feral bear or something. Nothing really too unusuall at all but still orders are orders. Jenny then went first into the cave to make sure no bandits or wild animals lurking about. When the coast was clear Rocky set up the equipement fixing all the lights around the cave and the data sheets pinning them up against the walls with needles. Kagar looked around for symbols, architect, something that lookked interesting by any means. Sadly for him there was not one ounce of good information anywere to be found. He did however notice that his beacon was making funny noises. The beacon was normally used for communication like telling others were your at kinda thing but it never made sounds.
There was a dark pressence in the atmosphere he could feel it. It was like being watched but not from his team. " uhh guys I think we should leave" They ignored his request and continued with their work. Kagar then noticed something in the corner of his eye but then everthing went black. The cave enterence collapsed and everyone scrambled to get the lights back on. With success at hand Kagar looked around frantically. They only had a few lights left and they wern't really the oiled kind. The lights were fueled with magic from a lighsparrow a common plant withing the palace walls and if there is more wind then they will be wondering around in the dark ...with someone watching in the shadows.
At this point the team would just give up and report that the grounds were unable to inspect, but there was no way out. Suddenly Kagar heard breathing behind him, but he knew better than to turn around. The first thing they teach you in dark magic is to never let the dark lead you. Unfortunately the others didn't know it wich gave him concern. "Don't listen to the dark!". He tried to say but rocky turned to see who was behind him, and his light blew out. Fear gripped Jenny as she screamed out for rocky, her heart pounding and her body sweating. Kagars knowledge of the darkness was extremly usefull at this point. "Those who panick and filled with fear, the shadows will take you no remorse for a tear." She yelled out for help but a smear of a figure appeared around her. Kagar couldn't really make out what it was but it dripped blood onto jenny ...and soon her light went out as well. Kagar was alone with the dark backing up against the wall. Hopefully he would survive longer than his team had.
