#2 of Out Of the Frying Pan...

It's me, Esme! This time with part 2! Hope you enjoy and please feel free to make any reccomendations that will enhance the story.

I bolt upright into a sitting postion. S_omething woke me... A twig snaps to my right and I am instantly crouching and drawing my sword. I spy a patch of dense underbush and quickly move into its cover. Just in time, I think as I watch a group of 4 wolves move over the spot were I was just sleeping. _Why haven't they scented... oh, right, the scent blocker. Well thank god for that. The wolves leave the clearing but I still wait about ten minutes before moving. I stand up and tap on my earpeice, "Hey, you there?" "Yes," the voice replies, "What is it?" "What is the status of the support team? Are they coming?" "Negative, you will not be getting support." "WHAT?! Who gave the order?!" "The director." I give a sigh of exasperation, "Of course it was the director. So what do I do now?" "I dunno, fight?" "Oh sure, That is a lovely plan," I retort, my vioce dripping with sarcasm. "Look, just find a way ou-..." The connection breaks into static. "DAMN IT!!!" I rip the earpeice out and throw it into the dense forest. I take a few moments to calm down while I study the surrounding woods. "C'mon Frost, which way will get you out of here?" I look in the direction the wolves went, "Ah fuck it, that way is as good as any at this point," I say as I head towards were the wolves went, hoping that this won't turn for the worse.

One moment I'm walking in a dense forest, the next, I'm in a brightly lit meadow. "SHIT!" I dive back into the cover of the trees. Marvelous, a huge meadow and I have no clue what's in it. I am about ready to turn around and walk away when I spot a large evergreen. "Perfect." I walk, no, sprint over to the tree and hastily climb as high as I can go. Alright, now what is in this meadow. I peer out, through the dense braches and needles, into the meadow. There is what apears to be a camp in the distance but I can't make it out. "Damn, I knew that I should've grabbed those binoculars." I am about to climb back down the tree when the barrel of my sniper rifle peeks into view.
