A rather cruel Garchomp goes out to look for a fight, what he finds though may be more than he expects.

Marco a fierce looking Garchomp passed through a forest looking for a Pokémon to fight, he had been without a fight for a good week now and he was getting antsy.

The fighter had heard legends of a legendary warrior out in the forest; even though Marco generally ignored such rumors he had found a Lucario who had apparently fought the Pokémon.

The Lucario had explained to him that the fight had been a terrifying the Pokémon, the legendary had used abilities that far surpassed his own and had fun in fear.

Marco had laughed in delight at the Lucario's story, he knew that he could beat any Pokémon so he had the Lucario tell him where the legendary resided and set off in the direction of the forest.

After traveling through the forest for more than a week Marco was getting extremely irritated, he was starting to suspect that the Lucario had lied to him just to get himself some notoriety.

"If I don't find that legendary today I'm going to chomp off that Lucario's head..." Marco emphasized him point by chomping his teeth hard together, as he looked around slowly scanning the underbrush.

The Garchomp sighed in frustration as he came across nothing, he continued on through the brush and grimaced as he felt some thorns prick his legs. "I swear, when I see that Lucario I will make him kiss my feet for forgiveness..."

As Marco walked further he froze as he saw something odd, one of the trees in front of him has a massive dent in it. The dent reminded him of a Lucario's body, as he looked upon it a large grin appeared on Marco's face. "Maybe the Lucario wasn't being as deceitful as I thought..."

As he spoke a telepathic voice entered into his mind, "Who enters into our domain?"

_ _ Marco blinked and looked around rapidly his eyes narrowing to see who was out in the brush, "Are you the legendary fighter?" He called out his teeth shining in the darkness of the forest.

"You need to leave our home, we shall not tolerate your interference. Unless you intend to be assimilated, leave!" The last word echoed in the Garchomp's head extremely loud as if shouting.

Marco nearly lost his balance for a moment while he clutched his head, after a moment he shook his head and ground his teeth together in a vicious grimace. "Show yourself coward, I want you to fight me out in the open!"

There was no noise for a moment as the forest itself seem to be silent in anticipation of the answer, "Very well, it appears that you don't want to heed our warning. Prepare to be assimilated." Marco gaped for a moment as the intimidating visage of a Deoxys floating out of thin air.

Marco shook his head to snap himself out of his stupor and glared at the Deoxys, "So you're the legendary fighter Deoxys! I'll defeat you then I'll show all of the other Pokémon that I'm the strongest in the entire world!" He grinned in satisfaction at delivering his grand speech but the Deoxys looked anything but impressed.

"Preparing assimilation." The cool telepathic voice rang through Marco's head and the Garchomp had to stop himself from shivering.

"Whatever you say you alien freak! I'll defeat you now and save you the shame of having to pretend to be able to fight!" The Garchomp jumped up and used Giga Impact on the Deoxys, but as he drew close to the floating Pokémon his eyes widened as his path was suddenly diverted and he flew right into a tree.

As Marco catapulted through multiple trees he tried to stop his attack but it appeared that the Deoxys did more than just divert his path, it had sped him up to the point that he couldn't stop. He flew through the air at an extremely high rate until his eyes widened in terror as he realized that he was flying right for a cliff face.

The Garchomp grinned through as he remembered a move that could get him out of this situation, Marco opened up his mouth and a blue light appeared deep in his throat and gathered it up until the very last moment and as he was just about to smash into the wall he released a huge burst of Dragon Rage.

The resulting explosion against the wall knocked him back onto his butt, Marco rubbed his butt as he stood up. "Dang you Deoxys..." The Garchomp's pride had taken a hit from being so easily foiled by the other Pokémon.

"Assimilation preparations complete." The telepathic words rung through Marco's head once more, the dragon type's heart seemed to freeze with an odd sense of terror.

"Why does Deoxys keep on saying Assimilation?..." As Marco asked this he gasped in surprise as he was injected by a sharp stab of pain in his back.

"Assimilation virus injected." The voice once more ran through his head, Marco staggered forward in pain and looked back to see the Deoxys floating away.

The Garchomp contemplated chasing after the Pokémon but realized that he had no chance of beating the Pokémon so he departed, as he ran through the forest he wondered what the Deoxys had done to him but figured that it couldn't be that bad.

Embedded in the Garchomp's back were three green jewels that seemed to be injecting an odd liquid into the Pokémon's back.

As Garchomp saw the town that he had met the Lucario in he sighed in relief, he had decided when he had escaped the forest that he would ask the Lucario if the Deoxys had given him the same spiel.

As the Garchomp wandered into the inn where he had originally found the Lucario he glanced around and walked up to the barmaid, a Miltank. "Hey, where's that Lucario from yesterday?" He asked curtly.

The Miltank frowned at him for being so rude, "I believe he went upstairs sir." She said briefly before turning to a Buizel who seemed quite intoxicated on Miltank milk, Marco turned around and walked upstairs.

He turned his gaze around the room which seemed to be full of passed out Pokémon, Marco was about to leave from the room in irritation to ask the barmaid where the Lucario was really but he stopped as he noticed a sullen shape in a corner of the room who appeared to be rocking.

"Hey you there!" Marco said not politely, the Lucario froze for a moment before smiling eerily at the approaching Garchomp.

"Oh... it's you... I heard that you'd be coming from them." Marco was put off by the odd Pokémon.

"Who's them?" He asked skeptically, the Lucario giggled in a very creepy manner.

"Oh just the voices, you know they started to talk to me right after you left." He smiled at Marco as if awaiting praise, the Garchomp was starting to get creeped out by the obviously demented Pokémon.

"Whatever... I was just wondering if the legendary Pokémon that you fought injected you with anything?" The Lucario froze for a moment as a picture of pain appeared on his face before it cleared to show his demented smile once more.

"Oh... you mean the shinnies... yes I was shot with them, you see they brought the voices." Marco's eyes widened as he realized what the Lucario was insinuating.

"Are you telling me that what the Deoxys shot us with is doing this to you?" The Lucario nodded smiling the whole time, Marco in a panic started to claw at his back in an attempt to claw the three jewels out of his back but as if in response they turned to a gel like substance which he couldn't seem to claw off.

"I tried to do the same thing but it didn't accomplish us anything." Marco opened his mouth to reply but he froze as he realized that the voice didn't come from the Lucario's mouth, it was a telepathic message.

He slowly looked up to see that the Lucario was changing, his chest had sprouted a gem and around the gem a red shell was growing.

"W... what's happening to you?!" Marco asked as he stumbled over an inebriated Toxicroak, the Lucario's eyes had changed from their usual look into the familiar eyes of a Deoxys.

"This one has become a part of us, we have accepted him into our collection and he is now no longer one but many." Marco stammered in horror as he realized what was happening to the Lucario, the Pokémon's arms and legs started to twitch and split into odd green and red tentacles.

"You can't do this!" Marco shouted out in a mixture of anger and terror, as he said this the Lucario's head became encased in a featureless shell for a moment before two eye holes split open and two horn like structures sprouted from the sides.

"We have all reason to do this, we warned you of the repurcusions but you didn't listen. Now you are becoming a part of the collective, soon you won't care about your old existence." Marco instead of responding ran out surprising a drowsy Buizel who was stumbling upstairs to get some rest, as the Garchomp ran he started to hear voices speak in his head.

Marco clutched at his head in terror as the voices whispered in his head, the words were indecipherable to him. He moaned in pain as millions of voices muttered nonstop, "P... please stop!" He shouted out as tears ran down his face, the voices stopped for a brief moment before coming back in full force.

Marco stumbled over to a rock and started to smack his head against it, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut uuuuuuuuuuuup!" With ever smack of his head against the rock the voices just grew louder until he broke the rock with his head and as the voices grew to their loudest the Garchomp stopped and for a moment nothing happened until a smile grew across his face.

"Y... you're here to help me... aren't you?... You'll help me become the strongest Pokémon ever..." Marco babbled out with his eyes opened wide.

"Join with us and you'll be a part of an unstoppable collective." The voice of Deoxys echoed through his head, Garchomp's mind was completely shattered by this point so this answer seemed perfectly alright to him.

"A... alright, what do I do?" He asked the thin air.

"Give in." The answer was so simple that he let out a physical groan as he let go of his resistance that he hadn't even noticed was there, immediately a gem grew out of his chest and the familiar red casing grew around it.

"I... I feel so good..." Marco said mentally as his arms changed into tentacles.

"There is no longer an "I" for you, you are now a part of "Us"." The voice of Deoxys resounded in his head, Marco smiled as he accepted this as a fact. "You shall also no longer be known as Marco, we are all one we require no designation."

_ _ Before answering the Garchomp's fate was sealed as his head was covered in the casing and two eye holes appeared and his transformation finished, "We understand, we are now whole. We shall now meet in the forest."

The newly made Deoxys flew off in the direction the forest to meet up with its brethren.
