a little short chapter with some character progression with Isaiah, is his horn dog desires just a facade?

Upon separating from the others, Isaiah ducked down alleyway after alleyway of the town. He was heading towards the darker, seedier side of town where he can get his particular brand of arrows in which he uses. He finally made it to a non-descript door deep within the darkest part of the town. He gave a special knock upon the door. The sliding spy hole in the door opened to the face of a brown bear.

"Password." He boomed deeply through the hole.

"Though the wind blows, though the sun shine in my eyes, my aim will ever be true." Replied the wolf.

The spy hole quickly slides shut and the door opens, revealing a big muscular bear wearing a simple pair of leather armor. He had a nasty scowl on his face as he watched the wolf enter and quickly closed the door behind him.

"Were you followed Isaiah?" he suddenly asked.

"Please..." the wolf shrugged off as he continued down the stairwell past the bear. "If anyone followed me, they'd deserve to find this place!"

Without speaking further, He slowly walked downstairs to a large foyer filled with fabulous looking furs all over the room. Isaiah was met with a fellow ranger, a golden eagle with a smirk on his face. He wore very same cloak and leather armor that Isaiah wore.

"Isaiah!" the eagle spoke as he stood up slowly. "You here on a permanent basis finally?"

"No, not yet," he replied coldly.

"So the usual then?" the eagle asked as he pulled out a covered quiver filled with arrows.

"Of course Reigan!" the wolf said with a sudden twisted smile on his face. Isaiah pulls out a rather large coin purse and tosses it at the eagle's feet. He gently bent over and opened the purse to look at the gold coins inside. Once he was satisfied, he closed the purse up and tossed the covered quiver at the wolf's feet. The wolf slowly picked up the quiver and opened the top of the casing to examine one of the arrows. He pressed down the arrowhead to activate the serrated extensions from either side of the head. "Per usual they are Malicious Arrows," He said.

"Excellent," he said as he reset the arrowhead and placed the arrow back of bag.

"You must really want someone dead to want those" Raigen said .

"You know who it is..." Isaiah said coldly. It wasn't the normal Isaiah that everyone saw at first. Like he was a different person completely. "Mind if I spend the night here Raigen? I don't want my presence to be known in the town. At least not yet."

Raigen gave a gentle nod and stood up slowly, "You are welcome to stay Isaiah. Have you eaten yet?"

"Not at all... Famished actually." He replied as he slowly sat down beside the Eagle. Raigen nodded softly and gave a loud clap.

Upon command, a young male effeminate fennec fox dressed in very colorful feminine clothing that mad him look like a belly dancer slowly walked into the room with a trey of food. The Meal consisted of a rather large leg of lamb and a large tankard of ale. The fennec slowly bowed to the wolf and placed the tray upon his lap before walking out of the room.

"You and your male harem..." The wolf said jokingly.

"You can still have your own..." Raigen said with temptation.

He clinched his fist suddenly visibly angry from the comment. Raigen's smirk slowly disappeared as he slowly sat down on the ground next to him. "I believe I have struck a nerve." He suddenly said. "Too soon to mention about... her?"

"You know it always is... not until that bastard is dead!" he screamed loudly, slamming his fist into the tray. The food didn't fall to the ground. The Fennec came running out wondering what the noise was.

Raigen nodded and made the fennec walk back into the back room, assuring that everything was ok. "Eat up old friend..." he said softly. "You will need all the strength you can muster to avenge Marcell, especially if you plan on killing the King of Lioden..."
