Conner woke up the best he ever had the morning after too long a night. Splitting headache aside, nausea ignored and bladder silenced he was in the soft arms of a very handsome man. To be quite fair nothing is ever really perfect. Will softly snored in his ear, whiskers playfully tickling the man in his hold. The big, black, fluffy wall of muscle was arched over Conner in an almost protective way, keeping him pinned into the couch cushion. Conner wished he could say he was entirely comfortable, but Conner wasn't still that drunk.

Still, the man knew there was nowhere he would rather be. He enjoyed the steady inhale and exhale of one of his surprisingly close friends. That topic itself was up in the air though; while it was true Conner was surprised about how quickly the two had hit it off 'friend' seemed questionable. Last night was a bit foggy but the human definitely recalled mention of a human Will was "Partial to."

Questions tried to form and flow in the muck of mental hangover, but they moved too slow for Conner's comfort, it was a pain to be trapped by his own head. Just what did Will think of him? Was it actual attraction? Physical or, more likely, mental? Conner wasn't ugly but not exactly the fellow you'd see and 'go gay' for. Was Conner an exception or another guy? He did mention Eva before so where had the...entire shy and playful kitty come from?

Conner was also embarrassed, as much as he tried to ignore it he was ashamed that under the influence was the only condition he could bring himself to tell Will he was gay. Will had shared everything with him and he couldn't mention this little thing? It was unfair and he owed Will more than that.

After a few minutes Will shifted slowly, his arms and body moving and rubbing into Conner. The human blushed when he felt a particular hard stiff push at his lower back. "You awake?" Will asked quietly, his breath smelled of booze but his voice managed to be gentle.

"Yeah." Conner whispered back. The two sat in silence a bit more.

"What do you think we should do for breakfast?" Will asked, catching the man in his arms off guard. It was so casual, so distant from the topic at hand. "Are you feeling bagels or do you think your stomach could handle more?"

The human blinked, despite the luxury of it he sat up a bit. "Umm...something simple I guess..." he replied a bit dazed. Conner had expected some kind of mention to their current physical situation.

"Gotcha." The lion said giving Conner a little squeeze, the only sign so far Will was aware of how exactly the two of them were lying. "Did you sleep ok? I didn't keep you up with snoring or anything did I?"

The human shook his head, "Not at all. But uhh..." how to start this conversation... "Will. About last night." It sounds a bit more worried than he had intended but it did the job. Efficient.

"Yeah bud? What about it?" the lion shifted again, pulling his arm out from under Conner to rest his cheek upon it. The human almost shivered when Will's paw gently stroked his arm. "hehe" he chuckled then, "we didn't even finish all the shots."

Conner couldn't tell if he was jealous and mad, or relieved that Will was being so care free. He clearly wasn't put off but...well some kind of reaction would have been nice! "What do you remember?"

Will didn't respond for a bit but he sat up more, his paw took Conner's. "Well what do you remember? Cause I think I remember everything." The lion said in a more serious tone.

"Trust me I couldn't forget our conversation." Conner breathed "I just want to have everything straight in my head you know?" It was agonizing having the brief back and forth. No matter how quick it would follow it wouldn't seem fast enough to ease Conner.

Will sighed and stayed quiet for a terribly long moment. "Well I'm sober now you know?" the lion started, stopping Conner's heart in place. "And I still feel the same way as last night." He pulled his human in closer to his chest "You should have told me you liked guys sooner you dork." He teased.

The human was taken aback "Me? What about you!? Why didn't you tell me?" he shouted with a hint of laughter over and above him.

Will chuckled "Well, quite truthfully I've never felt like this for a guy. I told you about Eva, I thought I knew what love and all that was but...I dunno you somehow feel different but just as powerful you know? A different form of love. It caught me off guard so cut me some slack."

"Well what do you mean?" Conner asked. The wording concerned him. Although Will had said 'love' Conner had a nervous thought the Fur meant friendship over something more intimate.

The silences that followed the questions so far that morning were beginning to shave away at Conner's sanity. The human did not expect Will's tone though. The Lion could be deep when he wanted to, but his voice was filled with something than, a strength and gentleness that soothed and spoke; convincing and powerful but not yelling and off-putting. "Conner I take the work 'Love' very seriously. I can air-quote 'love' my friends but I capital L Love you more than them." He pulled Conner out from the cushion and onto his chest, just letting the man he had come to know, and apparently Love, lay between his legs and rest on his chest.

The man blushed and nuzzled his friends shirt, looking up into his happy and gentle yellow eyes. Conner could not help but be a good sort of embarrassed and hid his face in the shirt again. He giggled but didn't reply. How could he? What could he have possibly said to follow that up?

Will giggled too, making his belly break the systematic rise and fall Conner was used too. The human swore he heard a soft purr in that stomach; just growling like an inner happiness wanted him to know. "Why are you hiding little man? Did the big kitty scare you?" it was so playful, natural it could have been anything Will would have said before that previous night. Conner only now took count of some of the very flirtatious things Will often got away with because Conner approved...wait...

The man sat up a bit, "How long have you been hitting on me!?" he burst, startling the lion who probably just expected a quiet snide remark. "Umm uhh...well a while dude." He regained composure. "You know I had to find out you were gay from Tina. TINA knew and I didn't." the lion remarked with another grin.

Conner blushed, apologetic but still shocked at his flirting revelation. "So..." he replied lamely.

"You can't stand Tina."

"Not in large doses, no." Conner admitted, mentally pinching his temples. He was exhausted just thinking about a conversation with that oblivious little poodle. "And she found out I didn't tell her." He clarified.

"She is rather nosy." The lion nodded in understanding. "At least give me the story, you weren't just absently checking out some dude were you?" Will laughed. He laughed harder when Conner stayed quiet "No effing way! How obvious were you?!"

"Ugh!" Conner gave up, dropping back down into the easy breathing, laughing lion belly. He lay on his back and closed his eyes, covering them with his hands. "She felt the need to use the 'catch flies in your mouth' line. It must have been awful." Conner admitted. "But it was Tina, so I was probably looking for any escape I could from all the talking." The truth was awarded with two paws gently resting on his belly.

"There there you horn dog. It's all ok now."

"Shut. The fuck. Up." Will laughed just a little more at his friends expense and finally fell quiet again. "So umm...have you...well what..." The human didn't know how to go about asking about Will history on the 'other team'.

"Hey uhh Conner? Can we hold that thought for six seconds?" it was the lions turn to be embarrassed. "I kinda just...well I need to pee and it's the morning and I didn't even realize I was kinda tenting into you..."

Tenting into him? Not poking? Not even rubbing? Geez he really was new to this. But Conner did have to go as well, maybe he could find a way to bring it all up over breakfast. A nice warm cinnamon raison bagel did sound pretty good.

~~

"So I'm the first guy?" Conner clarified, unable to entirely wrap his head around it. The two had sat down at Conner's small table and gotten an hasty breakfast going; tea, juice, bagels and the last three oranges in the apartment. It was weird to think that Conner could be the first, although Will did overly clarify Conner was an exception. Furs were fairly changeable about who they slept with but not who they Loved. Will went into how he had a few flings after Eva but no real relationships, tripping over his own words and stuttering in another clarification about there being no flings after Conner and himself hit it off.

"I don't really look at guys and think 'huh, I'd tap that' you know?" Will took a large bite of bagel, "Hell if I'm being honest I couldn't tell you what it is exactly I find so physically attractive about you. I mean no offense at all! I'm just not used to thinking about guys this way." He chuckled. "I don't really know what to look for."

"None taken," Conner said into his mug with a grin, "I was finding it hard to believe you look at me and think 'dat ass' so that kinda makes more sense."

Will coughed a bit on bagel and nudged the man with his foot "Oh shut it, I find you attractive I just can't put it to words. You're a nice guy but I'll admit I'm a bit shallow in some cases and physical attraction is kind of a necessity to me you know? Like I know I'm too young to settle...there is something about you though." He repeated with a happy grin and a flick of the tail.

"That's not shallow, it's smart. As much as Disney wants to say otherwise the inside is not all that counts." The end of Beauty and the Beast with Beast's transformation came to mind. Conner knew he was walking into some kind of further embarrassment. In fact the rate he was blushing or hiding his face at the last few hours was terrifying.

They each took a sip of their respective drinks in the silence, both wanting to say something and not sure how too.

"So uhh, what is it you find attractive in guys?" Will tried, twirling his juice, playing with the flat tilt of its surface. The obvious question being 'what about me is attractive to you exactly?' still, Conner found it adorable Will was trying to take notes, maybe find out himself what it was about the human that made his desirable by hearing about what a gay guy found attractive in another man.

"Well..." Conner started, forming his own mental list. "I like a taller guy, bigger set you know? Muscle is nice but not some crazy jacked body builder." The human grinned when Will itched at his arms, subconsciously taking personal counts. "Abs are nice," the lion grinned and looked away, "a good smile, a nice laugh and personality of course." Conner went on, unable to stand looking at the man who fit his description in every way. "A nice butt." He threw in, looking up ever so slightly to see how Will would react.

And he did of course. "What makes a butt nice?" He asked confused," because men and women are different." He clarified as if that wasn't obvious. "You know," he elucidated, waving a paw in the air, trying to find his words "On girls a bigger butt is...well nice, and on guys a..." he left Conner to finish the sentence.

"Firm." Conner said simply, "I dunno, not fat or anything too jiggley for me anyway, but bigger and firm. Didn't you know?" he asked with a grin, getting another foot nudge.

"Picking on the new guy I see." Will noted with tongue sticking out "ruthless human." He said a bit quieter, genuinely embarrassed and not willing to laugh about it.

The entire conversation was going infinitely better than Conner had thought it would. Will might have been uneasy or non-contributive but he was holding up and still making jokes while clearly taking it seriously. Now the only thing really left was...

"So what are we considered?" Will asked plainly "I mean, well...couple wise." He had a conflicted pout on his face and big concerned eyes avoiding Conner's. "I want us to be a couple..."

Conner could not help but smile and set down his cup, moving his hands across the table to hold Will's paws still wrapped around his own glass. "I'd like that too." The human replied. "Very much so..."

"So...well..." Will tried, not making any progress with his thought. Conner let the lion be. It was probably big news to the man that he might have been partially wrong about himself all his life. Will sighed and looked up at Conner. "Don't be mad but I don't think I'm ready to tell many people I'm... well a tail raiser."

Conner nodded, making a mental note to get Will some better vocabulary on the entire gay subject. "Well we can start small you know? Just a few friends and work your way up into comfort." It was understandable the guy didn't want to tell everyone right away, Conner didn't know what his work zone was like on the subject or Will's family or anything so he could not pass judgment. Though Conner did feel he would eventually want to go public with it all. He was an open book usually and would tone it down for Will's sake on telling too many people if he so chose but he didn't want to be bound into that forever.

"I'd like that." Will smiled, meeting Conner's eyes. "You're wonderful you know that?"

"Oh can it Romeo." The human rolled his eyes and released Will's paws.

"I mean it." The lion said with a smile, "You're the best." He re-iterated, resting his paws and chin on the table with a dopey grin and a soft purr. "I'll eventually get more comfortable with this ok? I promise."

Conner smiled and ruffled the man's hair "Take your time kitty cat." There was another purr and Conner felt large toes wiggle over his own. With a little laugh he returned the favor.

~~

Will tucked in his shirt for the ninth time that evening, returned to the mirror to make sure his hair was in order, and toyed aggressively with the collar of his polo as if it had more options than to mearly sit up or lie down. Once more he also took stock of his own apartment, it was smaller than Conner's, but it wasn't too cramped. The livingroom was simple, the kitchen as well, but it had its own storage room to the side where a proper table now temporarily sat, and it was this impromptu dining room that lead off to the bedroom whilst his bathroom was connected to the livingroom.

Conner and he had been...'together' or whatever they were for a week now, and Will decided it was time for the man to finally see his apartment. What that translated too was a desperate attempt for Will to clean his apartment and get things orderly. Conner had insisted on a surprise visit to see how he lived but Will had pouted his way out of that potential mess. A few bats of the eye lashes and big eyes and Conner was putty.

Will grinned thinking about him. Conner was just...indescribable. The lion only hoped he would one day find the words so he could tell him. Conner was fun and adorable, driven and empowered, not to mention attractive in that way Will could not yet understand; and Will could not stand the idea of parting from him.

The air smelled of garlic bread, the lion tried to get lost in it but his mind refused to let him calm down. This was a first impression of them together, Will had repeatedly referred to this as their first date and intended to make it special. Can't re-do a first impression. Was the air too thick with garlic? Will opened a window immediately and re-straightened his shirt.

Once again he took stock. Table was set, dishes were spotless, the volume on the stereo was down to zero and there was no disk inserted. His CD's were piled up neatly in a box, his movies were mostly in his bedroom closet with his graphic novels and other assorted books. The approved list of movies for a date sat in the living room on the floor by the PlayStation and Wii. The couch was clean, coasters sat about; there was a variety of beverages alcoholic and non in the fridge and Will was terrifyingly aware of where and precisely how his corkscrew sat in the drawer, to the right of some pens, angled slightly to the right exactly where he had placed it down. To the left of Will's seat at the table was a box of matches for the little candle on the table, scented like an ocean apparently. Will bought some flowers he wasn't sure if Conner would appreciate, which sat hidden in his room now because he had never seen a vase at Conner's, so a small box of chocolates sat by the door to be given in the flowers stead. Will's car was currently packed with all of the junk he could not find real room to hide. Art mostly, but a few odd knick knacks and nerd paraphernalia of his as well that would only stand as clutter.

The lion tugged at the very open collar as if it were the cause for his asphyxiation. Only a few minutes until precisely six pm. 'Was Conner the type to be overtly punctual? It was a new place for him so would he be lost for a few extra minutes?' Will gulped 'was he outside at this very moment? Early?'

The thought made his fur stand on end and he rushed to the window looking out into the parking lot of his apartment complex. Conner had a converted home to apartment set up which explained its larger size. The lion forced himself to stop playing with the counter, his fingers now rolling on the windowsill. He did not see Conner's car, but from his window he could not see in the parking spots nearest his apartment complex.

Dinner was almost ready, all that had to be done now was put the corn in the microwave and the biscuits in the oven for a few short minutes. Then the wine would be poured and-

The sound of knocking echoed through the apartment making Will jump and, sadly, whimper. He was not ready for this, there was so much to do and pressure and...He couldn't even wrap his mind around it! Deep breaths, he just had to breathe. He tried to think of it as another date, but that didn't work with all the mentally abusive pre-gaming he did.

He took three long breaths while walking towards the door. With a held breath he pulled it open, and with another exhale he sighed.

"William my boy, do you have my spare key? It seems I've locked myself out again!" Mrs. Travers, the elderly possum who lived a few doors down spoke in her little voice with a laugh. The kindly old women had moved in shortly after he did and insisted-well, demanded Will hold a spare key for her in case she were to misplace hers or lock herself out. With the security camera's around the complex she did not fear Will letting himself in, but merely the idea of not getting into her home. Will would have laughed at the humor in the cheap apartments affording security cameras but only putting so much money into the currently inconvenient deadbolts that would allow such a lock out.

False alarm.

"Of course Mrs. Travers, I'll be right back." The lion grinned weakly, turning to the key tray on the wall. As always he walked her back to her door and let her in with a friendly grin.

"Hot date?" she asked, elbowing him and laughing in that old person way.

The lion froze and stifled a chuckle, "Why do you ask?"

"You're dressed to the nines! And a handsome young man at that, you look good all cleaned up!" she teased more, another elbow "A special someone would do you good, I hardly ever see you have guests."

Will put a paw on the back of his neck and chuckled awkwardly, "Thank you Mrs. Travers, but uhh...well I do have a date, and soon! So I best be going!"

"Oh don't let an old bat like me keep yah." She insisted, walking into her apartment slowly, "I remember the late Mr. Travers, bless his soul, he burned everything our first dinner in!" she exclaimed, arms up, not even looking at Will, "Best date though, loved him ever since you know."

"Will! Thank god, I thought I had the wrong building like you said I would." Conner exclaimed form the stairs, catching the lion off guard. "The rooms here are numbered weird." He agreed with the lion's previous warning.

"And lettered!" Mrs. Travers butt in, turning around to try to remain involved. "You're a friend of Williams?" she asked, giving Conner a once over.

"Uhh, yes he is Mrs. Travers. This is Conner; Conner, Mrs. Travers." Will introduced awkwardly, trying to get some words in.

Conner was dressed in khakis and his large stripped jacket, he carried a medium sized paper bag with him that made Will nervous. He was handsome as always of course in that odd way that drove Will crazy.

The two shook hands with smiles "Nice to meet you ma'am." Conner grinned, leaning over a bit for the cane wielding Possum.

"Pleasure is all mine dearie. But, between you and me, I'd say you best scoot out of here real soon," she went to whisper in his ear but intentionally spoke loud enough for Will to hear, "This schlep has a date! You believe it?" she laughed, "Best not disturb them!"

The lion blushed profusely under his fur and nodded, "Thanks Mrs. Travers, good bye now!" He raised his voice but grinned a bit, waggling her key in the air, "Don't be locking yourself out anymore now you hear?"

The possum entered her home and just kept talking "Oh I can hear just fine you mangy feline. My hearing aid is on full and i-"The door shut but the soft rumble of incomprehensible words was at least heard.

Will just chuckled "Sorry about her, she locks herself out a lot." Ok, it was go time. The old crone's story had him worried about the condition of the food he left. Tactfully he remembered to lead the way but hold the door open for his very important guest.

"Not a problem. I brought some snacks for the movies." Conner lifted the bag with a grin, standing close to the lion. The man looked towards the lion lips with a sort of longing. A week into 'dating' and they had done almost no more physical activity than the night of the questions game. Conner was not going to rush the lion, but he was getting antsy.

"Perfect," Will grinned, seemingly unaware of the direction of Conner's stares. "Well, uhh...dinner is pretty much done if you wanna make your way in. I'll give you the grand tour."

'Romantic...be romantic...'

~~

"God fucking damn!" will roared, stomping a foot into the living room carpet like a toddler. He let out an unintelligible growl and shook the Gamecube controller. On the screen Fox taunted on the top tower to the right in Hyrule and Marth re-spawned, charging into the fray once more. "So damn quick you little fuck."

"Fox is a speed character, I don't even do that much damage so get over it." Conner teased, clicking away at the Wii-mote and laughing in his victory. There was only a minute or so left in the round and Will had been KO'd four times while he himself had only lost a single life.

"It wasn't even you, he has that damn reflector shield." The lion grumbled about the virtual fox.

"Then don't be so obvious when you are about to throw a bob-omb." The human offered, his character, already launching Will's into the hundred percent damage range.

"Don't be so obvious." Will mocked his boyfriend. "Can it human, I'm not going down so easily." Marth hit the screen and once again lost another life. "Fucking no! I had you!"

"Well you lost it." Conner grinned, counting down with the game from five, ending the round. Fox took his win while Marth clapped from the sidelines. "Wanna play something else?" Conner offered, making sure Will still knew he was rubbing it in.

Will smiled at Conner's big dopey grin. Gently and immediately they both tilted their heads and shared a small gentle kiss. The lion could not help but purr as pressed his forehead delicately into Conner's, nuzzling it a bit. His eyes dropped down to his shirt on the human, it was a bit over-sized but they were not complaining. He grinned just thinking back to the evening. How well it had went even if everything after dinner was unplanned, sporadic had went in his favor.

The evening had started exactly how Will had planned. Conner liked the chocolates, the food was not burned, they sat down and ate enjoying the wine. The works. It was a date to be remembered. Then Dessert went a little nutty...

~~

The lion laughed at one of Conner's jokes and stood from the table with the last of the dishes. "I'll be right back." He grinned, the joke being on him, Conner pointing out how stiff he was being. It was good natured but he got the hint.

He deposited the dishes in the sink and went for the iced cream. He scooped the mint iced cream into the bowls, bits of dark chocolate pieces protruding from the white dessert. Will tried to get his head on straight and calm down. The evening was going well he thought, although he was stiff he was trying and thankfully he knew Conner appreciated it. This whole dating a man thing was new. Exciting, but terrifying as he was back to square one.

Will was so busy getting syrup and whipped cream out he didn't hear Conner walk into the kitchen. Will was just getting the whipped cream on when Conner spoke, startling him "That's enough for me thanks." Simple, casual, but it made Will jump and get whipped cream on the counter.

The first thing in his head was about the mess, the world seemed to stop and collapse as he broke from exact schedule he had meticulously planned. Subconsciously he turned to face Conner, apologize for being a spaz although his mind was elsewhere like where he would have put the paper towels. Will was complete unaware of the whipped cream he continued spraying as he turned.

By the time Will was aware of what he was doing he just dropped the can and stood there paralyzed for a moment. There was whipped cream all over Conner's shirt and face. "I-I am so sorry for the shirt." He tried, taking an unsteady step towards his victim. "Let me get you a towel." Conner on the other hand started laughing, snapping Will from his stupor. "What?"

"You," Conner giggled, scooping some of the topping from his shirt "I told you you have to lighten up!" he said as a matter of factly. "Do you know what you would have done normally?" The lion shook his head. Conner rolled his eyes and put a big glob at the end of Wills nose and smeared it over his cheek. "Will, you can be calm and normal around me ok?" The human said, hugging his awkward lion. "Don't freak out so much."

That had finally started to get through. Will hugged Conner back "Sorry," he laughed, looking down at the human with a big silly grin. He ran a finger through the mess and returned the favor slowly over Conner's scrunched up nose. Then everything sort of...got out of hand. Slowly but surely the two were exchanging delicious blows more aggressively. Will had resorted to just spraying more of the can on Conner who ran away and kept slapping Will with whatever he could gather.

The kitchen was a fluffy white disaster in minutes and the two were laughing hysterically on the floor side by side, leaning against a wall.

"See what happens when you lighten up?" Conner asked with a grin, leaning gently into Will. "Look at all this mess that might not have been!" he advertised.

The lion rolled his eyes "That would have been a shame to not have to cleaned up." He grinned down at Conner, his brain clicking things together. Maybe it wasn't so much a physical attraction as it was a mental connection with Conner. To be honest Will had never really seen Conner's body so what could he imagine he was into?

And the moment just naturally unfolded. On the wall of a cream covered kitchen, iced cream uneaten, dinner not completely cleaned, the two sat. They leaned closer, they shared unspoken connections. Lion and man, close and, in a way, totally familiar with one another. Will leaned like he always had and for a moment his brain threatened to snap him from his link. But Conner held him firm and the two touched lips.

It was a delicate little thing, hardly pushing together at first but completely intimate. Conner pulled back first, eyes fluttering open. They looked into each other's eyes while sharing similar symptoms. Their hearts raced, their breathing was loud and heavy. They both looked at one another's lips in the same moment and went again, daring now to press further, the lion not pulling away and the human pushing just enough to get reaction.

It was just like before Will noted, a kiss with Conner shared the same feelings as any other important kiss he had had. It did not matter his gender or their previous relations, all that mattered now was them in that moment. All that mattered was the feeling not the physicality or the outside world. Will lost himself in Conner, explored his own mind, curious with all these new thoughts that had not come before.

Would Conner like it if he did this? Put his hand here? Touched there? Would Conner respond to tongue with tongue? Should he dare make this kiss last longer than it had already? And finally the most reassuring of all. Will wondered what Conner looked like with less clothes, and to this he did not feel ashamed, though he did blush.

The two broke the string of kisses, their first kisses together. Conner bore the dopey grin and Will smiled in a self-assured way and a joyous one. "You did good tiger." Conner grinned, resting his head on the lions broad shoulder "It wasn't too much was it?"

Will shook his head, earning him a smile. The lion wrapped a massive arm around the man and pulled him close. They sat there in each other's holds for a while, taking it all in. Much to Conner's surprise and pleasure Will broke the silence.

"You know," the lion dared quietly, "We are pretty messy." There was a pause but Conner did not interrupt, he held his breath and awaited the lion. "And there is uhh...well my shower is not that big honestly." He blushed, wishing he had not spoken so soon. Still the human stayed silent. Will sighed, "Conner if I am being honest I don't care about the shower size I wanna cram in there with you and I'm nervous."

Conner felt himself blush a bit and smile. As much as he wanted to say yes, and he really did, Conner knew what he had to do. It was a first date, the first official bit of relationship Will had ever had with a man, and he couldn't rush it. "As much as I want to say yes..." Conner sat up "I think that would be a bit much for your first time you know?"

Will looked away and let out a sigh. They sat there a bit longer, the mood somehow shifted for light hearted to neutral. "You don't have to look out for me so much Conner." The lion spoke up resting a cheek on Conner's head. "I'm a big boy. I have had sex before you know, and I know we were not talking about that!" he spoke up, the word apparently having just slipped out. He stumbled over the start to a new sentence a bit, and then finally just gave up trying.

Conner completely understood though. Will was not used to having his feelings be held out at bay, like he was fragile. No interested women in her right mind would have stopped stripping to see how he felt or told him no to the shower. It was charted land, familiar really. Will now had to deal with a childish leash on his very adult feelings; Conner simply didn't want Will to rush into those new feelings but to slowly find them instead.

"I get it Will, I just want you to be ok with everything later and not feel rushed."

"It's because I can't explain everything isn't it?" Will asked, his voice a bit down trotted. "I know how I feel I just don't know what caused it or nothin'." Will said again, "I do feel for you a lot dude, a whole lot. Well...to be honest with you a part of me really wants to see you more." He kissed the human's hair. "I dunno what I would do when I got to that point, and I know sex is out of my mental range at the moment, but...please?" he asked quietly, "Can I see you more? In less at least if I can't see you in nothing?"

The human thought for a moment it was possible to die from embarrassment. Will, a buff, in shape lion, hansom as could be, was practically begging to see Conner naked. He himself was not a fan of his own body, not that most people were. He was pudgier than he would have liked, awkwardly hairy since he had no real reason to shave recently, hell he had even been pretty lazy with his beard trimming again. He flashed back to Ian and how he always teased Conner for his body. Little knit picks about his gut, an off-hand poke at his lack of physical grooming perfection. Little things to get him down, those being most of the reason Conner left him.

"I don't know." Conner said honestly, his level of authority seeming to drop in the room. "I'm not really a fan of my body, I don't want you seeing me like that until I'm presentable." He blushed, not looking up at the lion.

Will laughed though, a little giggle that shook Conner a little. "What does that mean? You know you are always hansom right? Well dressed and well-presented or whatever. I doubt you need preparation and I'm positive you look good." he assured, rubbing the humans arm, feeling a bit of misplaced topping smear.

"Stoooooop!" Conner whined with a grin "I'm positive you look better. Please don't expect much, really."

"There are very few things I expect from people Conner." Will said after a while, the lion resting his head against the wall "You being handsome falls more in the category of truths you know? Like, a Victoria's Secret's model is attractive because she's damn attractive." The lion stopped, "Sorry, train of thought is..." he waved a paw indicating a scatter "Is there a Victor's Secret's? do they have that?"

Conner scoffed, amused "I don't know."

"Right, well models are attractive for all those reasons. Style, form, body, hair, you know all that physical and surface shit; I don't think you are a model Conner. Not in their sense, but in mine you know?" he shook the human. Conner was unsure if he should be insulted or relieved. "Relationship attractions work differently. I'll like your body at first, but I suspect that, like with Eva, as I love you more as a person I will grow to love your body more than any 'Ms. November'." He grinned and thought again. "Or 'Mr. November'... I'm still lost on how all this is working." He admitted.

Despite the imprecise ending Conner was certain now not to be insulted. Will made sense, and it worked on a level Conner could accept. A slow attachment to Conner physically was a lot more understandable than an instant undying physical craving. The lion even knew that, and while he might not ever find another guy attractive and even if Conner was the exception Will could never put into words he was content. On instinct he curled into his lion and just grinned.

"Did I make sense?" Will asked quietly with a snicker, his paw stroking through Conner's hair. Will was trying his best to work out how he felt and baby steps were his only method of transportation down that road. He knew he wasn't gay; he still had a craving to watch the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion show for lusty reasons. Still he would have left he TV if Conner said he needed anything. It was confusing, but it worked for the moment.

Conner shook his head yes. "You did good." he confirmed, "And thanks for that, I like that side of you."

"Which one?"

"The wise sage." Conner mocked, sitting up "I dunno, the docile and deep you is nice when I need comfort like that. My head was going bad places." He admitted deceptively. He knew Will would assume carnal things were at work when in reality Ex-Boyfriend flashbacks were his focus.

"Well your mind might be harder to clean than your clothes." Will stretched out on the floor as Conner stood up. "How do you want to work this?" he asked, referring to the showers.

"Well it's your shower so you can go first." Conner waved, "I may have to borrow some clothes though."

"You definitely can, and you are my guest so you are going first." The lion contradicted. "you head in there and I'll get the clothes. The faucet is kinda weird though...I'll show you in a sec." He walked away to his room, quick to shut the door.

Conner grinned, he imagined a messy room the lion would rather hide. He made his way to the bathroom and instinctually opened the cupboard under the sink for towels like he was in his own bathroom. Instead a neat little set up was in place. Two packs of un-opened XL Feline brand Frisky's condoms and some lube sat to the right, a magazine of sorts tucked behind them. And to the left a first aid kit, rubbing alcohol and fur care products. Conner slammed it shut, taking a mental note of Will's lack of a medicine cabinet.

The lion opened the door, making Conner jump, the man feeling a bit guilty. "So I have a shirt and pajama pants here." He said with a grin, "I wasn't sure how you felt about my boxers and all that or...you ok?" the lion stopped, noticing the face Conner was making, "You look all red."

"I'm fine." Conner coughed, "Boxers are fine." He noted, mind still on the giant 'XL' burned into his memory. It made him uncomfortable down under not for the first time that evening.

"...ok...if you say so. Umm, then boxers too." He finished, putting the clothes on the sink, reaching on top of the cupboard where a towel lay. "And here is that." He grinned. Conner must not have returned the grin immediately, hell he probably looked very very lost, because Will looked a tad concerned. The lion stepped closer and licked his cheek, his face staying leaned in "Might be weird now but I promise I can get comfortable with all of this ok?" he assured the man, certain Conner hated holding back and not suspecting the one nook he failed censor.

The human nodded "I'll be quick." He said stiffly, mind traveling to his groin and Will's. A primal excitement fought with the logical delicacy he tried to have for Will.

"Take your time." The lion insisted, stepping out of the bathroom but quickly stepping back in, brushing past Conner. "the faucet sticks." He reminded the human and himself, any cool and collected image he had tried to represent was gone. He fiddled for a bit and finally the water could be heard cascading down. "there and uhh...washcloth." He said with one more grin and a kiss on the head, departing again.

Conner immediately sat down on the closed toilet seat, taking a deep breath. Now who was being the awkward one? The man looked back at the cabinet under the sink like an enemy. "You did this." He groaned, standing to un-dress. He was hard, a healthy seven inches; none too shabby outside of porn. Still, that was a medium or large Trojan in human sizes, and Frisky's ran big. Conner blushed and went to feel the water. it was warm already and he stepped under, knowing for a fact that this particular shower would not be as relaxing as his others might be.

He tried to silence his mind, cancel out images. All he could see was Will in less or no clothing. The thing Will had offered to him on a silver platter was now his secret fantasy. Great. He washed his hair and looked at the over-sized shampoo bottles. Well at least it was still a familiar brand, the formula probably just different if they had to label 'Fur' and 'Hair' care now, 'shiny coats' and 'clean hair'. For the time being though, Conner used the 'coat' cleaner.

Shockingly enough though it did not smell like Will. He might rub this stuff all over his body but the lion was always active and so maintained his natural scent more often than the manufactured one.

Conner was deep in these thoughts when the door silently opened and shut. Will blushed and nervously gripped his tail like a child. He was stark naked as the day he was born, sure he had worn just boxers on a few occasions at Conner's before their relationship, but now it seemed different. More important.

Conner heard the curtain open and froze, there were the sounds of heavy footsteps and the curtain closed again. The two were silent, the lion running his eyes over the man in front of him, the human not daring to turn around.

Will purred making Conner blush, though the man could not form words. Conner felt paws brush over his sides and wrap around his middle, dry fur yet to touch water pressed into his back and pressed him firmly against the lion. Conner felt a pulsing bulge in his lower back, he assumed from anatomy in highschool Will was still sheathed.

"I'm sorry." Will broke the silence, his voice electrifying, making Conner shiver even in the heated water "I could not help myself." He finished, giving his friend's belly a little rub.

Conner tried to form words but nothing came out at first. "I-I know-...it's ok. I'm glad you did." He managed honestly.

A small purr ran through Will and into Conner, his face got close to the human's ear "You are very handsome Conner." He breathed, "Attractive in real terms and I'm sorry but I can't do more than this right now." He managed with a little sigh. "I want to be ready for you but I know if I rush into this I'll scare myself. I don't want that for me or you you know?" He kissed Conner's ear. His words scared Conner but his voice comforted him. "I'm glad I came in though." He set the worries aside. "I'm glad I got to see you a bit. Wash up." He added, breaking he intimacy.

Will left, hardly damp, leaving Conner with a million more thoughts than before, alone in the shower. He washed quickly, got dressed even quicker and ran out the door, hair still wet. Will turned to the sound of the door flying open, clothed again but shirtless. The human wrapped his arms around his lion and kissed him again. This time it was not delicate, Conner had too many hormones and desires to tone down. Will dropped the current dish he had in paw in the sink and wrapped one arm firmly around Conner's middle and another around him and to his head, holding him close. The lion was just as eager a participant.

They broke the very energetic kiss and just grinned. "You know, you can spend the night. I have games and movies." He motioned over to the living room, face hardly an inch from Conner's. The human just blushed and nodded, biting his lower lip. This would be an interesting one alright.
