#6 of Furry and Proud

The club

After working like 5 hours on the project, I was pretty much brain dead, but Victoria didn't even look phased. We had the project all set up though. Our plan is to get a poster board and make this huge map of New York. On the map, we will put special marks on all the places where battles and important events occurred. That way, we can just point and talk the whole time. An easy A.

After writing about 20 pages of notes, I was really starting to get tired. I was lying on my stomach; head up, with a bunch of papers all around me. Victoria was still on the computer looking up more information. Everything she found, I had to write. I soon got up and stretched.

"You know what." I said. "I need some energy. You got any juice or soda or something?"

Victoria turned in the chair and faced me.

"We have apple juice." She said.

"Apple juice?" I said with a surprised look. "Well, I did say juice. Alright, I'm gonna go get some. Be right back?"

Victoria nodded her head and stared right back to the computer. I walked around the place for a while until I finally found the kitchen. I opened the fridge to look inside. I found some vegetables, water, wine, orange juice, but no apple juice. I started digging my hand inside to look for it. I couldn't see what my hand was reaching for but I soon felt something.

"It feels like apple juice." I thought.

I pulled it out and looked at the container. It was coconut juice.

"What the hell is this?" I thought. _"Where can someone get coconut juice?" _

I put the container on the counter and looked back into the fridge. I still couldn't find the apple juice. Then I looked at the coconut juice again.

"Well, wouldn't hurt to try it, I guess." I thought.

I got a cup and poured the juice in. I took a sip and immediately spat it out in the sink.

"Eww." I thought. _"You'd have to put me on a stranded island to make me drink that again." _

"Are you okay?" Said a voice. I turned and saw Victoria behind me.

I whipped my mouth and said. "Yea, everything is cool. I just can't find the apple juice."

Victoria went to the fridge, moved the stuff around and picked out the apple juice.

I was amazed. "How did you..." She stopped me and poured me a cup. Then she poured a cup of coconut juice for her.

"This is my favorite." She said. "But I guess it's not your favorite."

I just shook my head no. She took a sip from her cup and I took a sip from mine.

"So," I said. "Do you think we have enough information?"

She took another sip and said. "Well, we covered all the major areas, so yes, you can stop writing."

I smiled. I could also feel my tail wagging in relief and rubbing against the bottom kitchen cabinets. Victoria began to laugh.

"I'm guessing that you're happy about that." She said.

I laughed and said. "What gave it away?"

She took another sip, then put the cup down on the counter and said. "So, what's your opinion on Cha and the mohawton tribe?"

My tail froze. I took another sip to think about my answer. Then I said. "Well he was definitely a bad ass going up against all those settlers."

Victoria laughed a little. Then I put my cup down and said. "But honestly, I think it was pretty brave of him to fight against, like, impossible odds."

"I don't think the battle was impossible."

"He was outnumbered, had weaker weapons, and honestly, I don't think he knew what he was up against."

Victoria walked towards me and said. "Yea, but in a battle, I think each side wins something."

I picked up my cup and took another drink.

"Okay then," I said. "But Cha lost his people, his land, his life, what did he win?"

Victoria crossed her arms and said. "Do you believe in sacrifice Eddy?"

"Yes, I do." I said. "I believe you sacrifice something in order to win, but I don't think this is sacrifice.

"Then what is it?"

"A tribe leader that didn't know how to pick his battles."

"So you call it a failure?"

"Yea." I said thinking that it was already obvious. "Do you call it a success?"

Victoria smiled a little and said. "I do."

"Why?"

"We are talking about him right now, aren't we?"

"Yea, to not make the same mistake again."

"Oh really," Victoria said in a very sly way. "Then what would you do?"

"Well...I would...I would try to..." I just couldn't think of anything.

"Exactly." Said Victoria. "I think that he wanted to fail in order to spread his beliefs throughout history. I think he sacrificed his life to give others hope, because there were many other battles after his death."

I was speechless. That kind of made sense. He knew that at least one person would follow in his footsteps and fight again.

"Wait." I said. "How did he know that others would fight after him?"

Victoria picked up her cup and said. "He just knew." Then she took a sip.

I was confused. Then I just forgot what we were talking about and looked around for a clock.

"You know what time it is?" I asked.

"Yea, I think it's almost 3:45 pm."

I finished my drink and said. "Alright, I should go."

"But wait." Said Victoria. "We don't even know how we're going to make the map or what materials we need."

"We can go over that tomorrow." I said while throwing the cup away. "Besides, I got a party to go to tonight."

"Oh." Said Victoria. "Okay then."

She seemed to change the tone in her voice.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"Oh, yea I'm okay." She answered. Then she drank all of her juice and threw the cup away.

I got my phone out of my pocket and went to my dad's number. I put it to my ear and waited. I saw Victoria walk back to her room. Her mood really seemed to change from talkative to quiet. As I was pondering that, I heard my dad pick up the phone.

"Hello." He said.

"Hey dad, come pick me up please." I said.

"Alright, I'll be right over." He said. Then he hung up.

I put my phone in my pocket and went to Victoria's room. Victoria was just on the computer. I went over to my papers and books and started packing up. She didn't look at me at all.

"Are you sure that you're alright?" I asked.

"Yes." She said. "Everything is okay."

I still didn't believe her. It was probably something I said. I thought about it for a while but I didn't think that I said something wrong. Then I got bored. I walked out of her room looking for something to do. I couldn't find anything. She didn't have a game console or anything like that. I soon found myself in the room with the piano. It was this big grand piano with a plain black bench in front of it. I didn't know how to play the piano, but playing was better than just walking around aimlessly. I walked over to it and sat down.

"What to play." I thought.

I soon decided to try and play the song I wrote for Sam's lyrics. Then I looked at the piano with an overwhelming feeling inside. So many notes all spread out like that. I was just not used to it. I knew the notes though. G, A, and B flat. That's what I used on the guitar at least. I was looking at the long row of keys and just pressing them at random just to find one that sounded like a G. It sounded horrible. I bet Victoria thought I was just messing around. I finally found the G. Then I found the A and the B flat right next to it. I started playing the tune over and over again. It wasn't too extravagant, but it was the right song.

"What are you playing?" Asked Victoria behind me.

I turned around quickly and said. "Well, I'm no Beethoven, but I'm just trying to play a song I wrote."

"Do you play the piano?"

I laughed and said. "No, not at all. I play guitar only."

"It sounded pretty good." Said Victoria.

She then walked towards the piano and sat next to me on the bench.

"Play it again." She said.

I played the same tune, but this time, Victoria added some chords to it. It sounded much better, mostly because of Victoria. I was just playing the same tune over and over again. Then I stopped playing and Victoria, just took over. It was incredible. She just took off, playing chord after chord. I started to really listen to the rhythm of it, until she just stopped playing. She then turned to me and said. "Sorry, I got a little carried away."

"No, no that was great!" I said with excitement.

Then Victoria started laughing a little.

"What?" I said.

She pointed behind me and said. "I'm sorry, but your tail is very funny."

I tried grabbing it to make it stop.

"I wish I had something like that. Something to express the way I feel."

Then I began to laugh, and this time, I could tell that my tail was wagging in laughter.

"Wait." Said Victoria. "What's so funny?"

"You do have something like that." I said after calming down. "It's the piano. How can you not see that?"

"Well, I sometimes express myself with the piano."

"Oh really." I said while crossing my arms. "What's your favorite song to play?"

"Well, I like moonlight sonata."

"And how does that song express you?"

Victoria hesitated for a while and said. "Uh...it describes my quiet style of living."

Victoria didn't sound too sure with her answer. It felt nice to confuse her for a change. I was going to say something else until I heard knocking on the front door. I went to open it. It was my dad.

"Well you got here quick." I said.

"Not much traffic this time of day." He said. "You ready to go?"

"Yea just let me get my stuff."

I walked over to Victoria's room, got all my things and came back. Then walked over to Victoria and held my hand out.

"See you tomorrow?" I said.

She shock my hand and nodded her head yes. I let go of her hand and said. "Hey, think about what I said."

Victoria just smiled. Then I walked out the door with my dad.

The drive back home was pretty calm. My dad asked me how was it working with Victoria and I just said it was good. He asked a couple of more questions, but I just answered back with one-word replies.

When I got home, I headed straight for my room. I still needed to work on that song for Sam. I don't know why it was so hard. I've written songs before, why is this one any different. Maybe it was because I wanted it to be as special as Sam's part. It would suck to have my part ruin the whole song. Maybe I was just thinking too hard about it. I figured that that was the reason. I soon decided to just get my guitar and play, hoping that it would help. I strummed the notes and played the chords, but I still had nothing. Then I tried to just sing random words.

"I remember when I...no. Life is just too...no. Sometimes...people...try to...no."

I tried this method for a while. It just kept getting worse and worse. Soon I just gave up. I laid down in my bed on my side and thought about it some more. I was staring at the wall for a while. A plain white wall that could hopefully give me some motivation. But my mind was as blank as the wall.

Then I closed my eyes. Seeing nothing but darkness at first, I soon began to light up the darkness with my thoughts. I was seeing my memories again. I was back in New York, in my old house. I looked around and realized I was in my old room. I didn't know if I was dreaming or not, but it felt so real. I then got my little chair and putt it against the wall so I could look out the window. Then I looked at the kids outside playing soccer. They were just running back and forth across the front yard. Then, all of a sudden, one of the kids accidentally kicked the ball across the road and on to my front yard. All the kids looked scared. It didn't seem like any of them were going to get it. I just waited to see if one of them would be brave enough to get it. Instead, I saw my dad walking out the front door and picking up the ball. He looked at it for a while and then looked at the kids. He held the ball in front of him and it seemed like he was talking to the kids, but none of them seemed to talk back. Then this man came out of the house where the kids were. He talked to one of the kids, looked at my dad, and crossed the street.

"What is he doing?" I thought.

The man walked up right in front of my dad and grabbed the ball from his hands. He then started yelling at him. My dad looked like he didn't want to fight, but the guy just kept yelling.

"Hey, leave him alone." I thought.

Then the man punched my dad in the face. There was this jolt of fear as soon as his fist touched my dad's face. My dad fell to the ground and the man started to kick him repeatedly.

"No, just leave him alone!" I thought. _"Stop it! Stop it!" _

It seemed that no matter what I said or thought the man would still hit my father. I jumped of the chair and ran for the door. It wouldn't open. I pulled and pulled so many times but it wouldn't move.

"Leave him alone!" I thought as I kept pulling.

Then I felt someone grab my shoulder. The feeling scared me so much that I woke up.

"Eddy?" Said a voice. I turned around and saw my dad standing behind me holding my shoulder.

"Eddy, are you okay?" He asked.

I looked at him for a while. The sight of him unharmed relaxed me a little bit.

"Yea, I'm fine." I said.

"You looked like you were having some crazy dream."

"Uh...yea. You could say that."

"You want to talk about it?"

"No."

I got up from the bed and looked at my clock. 5:50pm.

"What time do you want me to take you to Uncle Joe's?" My dad asked.

"Honestly, now would be good." I said.

He walked out of my room. Then I started to calm down and think about hanging out with my friends. I went in my closet to pick out some clothes. I wanted to wear something nice for the club. Nothing too flashy, just something cool and chill. As I was in the closet, I started humming the song. Then I suddenly had lyrics in my mind.

"I feel so trapped everyday.

I just keep on going the same way.

And every time I want to make things right, and every time that I try to fight.

There's always doubt in my way."

It wasn't that bad. I had to keep going though; I didn't want to lose it. I kept thinking and thinking. Then I sang.

"But when these sad songs bring me down.

It feels good to have my friends around.

So come on and follow me, because together we can all be free.

To have our fun and mess around."

"And then off to the chorus." I thought to myself.

Finally, I came up with my verse. Now I guess that Sam and me get to figure out the rest together. That made me feel more relaxed. Then I went back to picking out my clothes. I decided to wear mostly blue. A blue shirt, black sweats, and black and blue shoes. I also grabbed a jacket, just in case.

When my dad and me pulled up by the restaurant, Uncle Joe's, I barely saw any people there. I guess the dinner rush was over. I told my dad goodbye, got out of the car and watched him as he drove off. Then I went inside. Uncle Joe's was a simple restaurant. It wasn't really fancy, but it defiantly had the best pizzas. As soon as I closed the door behind me, I heard Jack's loud voice from across the restaurant.

"Hey, speaking of the devil!" He said.

I saw him sitting with Sam, Alice, and Ryan. I walked over to them and sat next to Sam.

"Well, look who's fashionably late." Said Sam.

"Well, he's late, but I don't know about his fashion." Said Jack.

Everyone laughed except me.

"Man, how can you talk about me when you look like you're in a boy band." I said.

Then I got everyone to laugh. Everyone at the table had their party clothes on. Jack was wearing jeans with a green jacket and this green hat that he wore backwards, Ryan looked kind of plain in his black jacket and his white shirt, Alice had on a black tank top and a few bracelets, and Sam had this sparkling purple shirt on and was also wearing some bracelets. She also had these earrings that were sparkling too.

"Nice earrings." I said.

"Thanks. Alice picked them out yesterday." She said.

"So, did you guys order yet?" I said.

"No, you came just in time." Said Ryan.

Then this lady in uniform showed up at our table.

"Hello everyone, my name is Margret and I'll be your waiter tonight." She said. Then she took out her note pad. "You guys ready to order?"

Jack started off by saying, "We'll have one whole pie with..."

"Part extra cheese." Said Ryan.

"Part vegetarian." Said Alice.

"Part pepperoni." Said Sam and me.

"And part plain."

The waitress looked overwhelmed.

"Okay, and what to drink?" She said.

"Lemonade." Said everyone at the table. Then she finished writing and walked away.

As soon as she left, everyone started to giggle.

"You think we scared her a little." Said Sam.

"Yea," Said Jack. "She seems new."

"Well she'll have to learn fast because that's the usually for us." I said.

"So, how's everybody doing?" I asked.

"I am doing great." Said Ryan. "My project is going very well."

"Here we go again." Said Alice.

"So have you blown yourself up yet?" I asked.

Ryan hesitated and said, "Maybe once."

"Or three times." Said Jack. "He told us before you got here."

I began to laugh. "I told you to be careful." I said.

"But I did manage to get it right once." Said Ryan.

"How do your parents let you go blow stuff up when ever you want?" Asked Sam. "My dad won't even let me touch his car."

"Because my reason is scientific." Said Ryan.

"I could be scientific." Said Sam.

"Okay, here's an equation for you." I said. "Can Sam drive faster than a speeding bullet?"

Sam shoved me in the shoulder and said. "Oh shut up, I don't drive that fast."

Alice looked at Sam with a surprised look and said. "Uh Sam, not to be mean, but you drive like your being shot at."

Everyone laughed.

"Okay, so what were you up to." Asked Sam.

I got a little worried. Do I tell Sam about Victoria, or do I keep it a secret.

"I was just working on a project the whole day." I said.

Hey, I wasn't lying.

"What project?" Asked Alice.

"A history project on some ancient tribe."

"Oh." Said Ryan with excitement. "Which tribe?"

"I think the mohawton tribe." I said.

"Oh, I know that one." Said Ryan. Then he just went on and on about how much he knew about the tribe.

Honestly, I think I handled that well. I don't know how Sam would take it if I told her about me and Victoria's "get together". Sam isn't the jealous type, but I'm not taking any chances. Finally, the pizza came. As always the pizza looked really messed up. Our toppings never looked good together, but it was our pizza. The pizza was divided into 16 peaces, 4 for each topping. Everyone took one slice. I looked over to Alice's slice and I started laughing.

"What?" Said Alice.

"Every time I look at your pizza, it makes me laugh." I said. "How can you eat that?"

"Like this." Said Alice as she took another bite from the vegetable covered pizza slice. I looked away when she did it.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but pepperoni is the best thing to put on a pizza." Said Sam.

"Yep." I said. "No doubt about it."

"Well, I think you're all wrong." Said Jack. He then picked up a plain slice and displayed it to all of us. "All you need is the pizza." He said.

"What, no toppings?" I asked.

"No toppings." Said Jack as he took a bite out of his pizza.

"Is extra cheese a topping?" Mumbled Ryan with his extra cheese pizza still in his mouth. He managed to make everyone laugh.

After we finishing eating, we paid the bill and left the restaurant immediately, with Jack leading the way.

"So where is this place?" I asked Sam.

"Only Jack knows." Said Sam.

"Wait, so we're leaving this all to Jack now?" I said.

"Yea, I know it sounds crazy, but I want to party." Said Sam.

"Of course you do." I said to Sam while putting my arm around her.

So we just kept walking down the sidewalk, and we didn't even turn yet. Suddenly I heard some faint music in front of us. Then Sam looked at me with a smile.

"You hear it too?" She asked.

I nodded my head yes. The music just kept getting louder and louder as we kept walking. It was this loud techno kind of music. We kept on walking until we finally came to a turn and saw where the music was coming from.

"My friends, I give you...The Groove." Said Jack.

The place was pretty big and it had this purple light going around the front entrance. The neon sign was purple too.

"The Groove?" Said Alice. "What, are we in the 60's?"

"Trust me, it's much better than it sounds." Said Jack.

"Well, that may be true, but how are we even going to get in?" Said Ryan pointing to the seriously long line entering the place.

The line had mostly furries, so you could pretty much guess the kind of club it was.

"Okay, you guys ready for this?" Said Jack.

"What do you mean?" Said Alice.

Jack came up close to everyone and said. "We're sneaking in."

Everyone had a surprised look on his or her face.

"Are you crazy?" Whispered Sam. "Do you know how much trouble we will get in?"

"Yea." Said Jack. "If we get caught."

"It sounds risky man." I said.

Jack huddled everyone together to hide us and said. "Listen guys. This club is still pretty new. The security isn't as good as you think. I knew this place before it was a club and I know that there is a secret entrance in the back."

Everyone was silent. Then we all exchanged some looks and really thought it over.

"Okay." Said Alice. "I'm in."

"Me too." Said Sam.

"What the hell." I said. "I'm in."

"So am I." Said Ryan.

Jack then turned around and said. "Alright, follow me and stay cool."

He then started to cross the street. We all followed him. When we got across we headed towards the entrance. It seemed like we were going to just walk right in, but instead, Jack just waved at the security guard and walked right past the entrance. We all did the same. The guard didn't pay any attention to us and kept denying people who wanted to get in. We just kept walking and walking.

Then Jack turned his head to us and said. "Is he looking?"

I looked back at the guard and said. "No, why?"

"Okay, follow me." Said Jack as he quickly turned and walked into an ally.

We were all nervous, but we followed him. Then he led us to a door on the side. He opened it easily. It probably wasn't locked.

"Come on." He said.

Everyone still followed. I was the last to go in through the door. I looked inside and it was pitch black. Then I closed the door behind me.

"Where are we?" Whispered Sam.

"We're almost there?" Whispered Jack.

I couldn't see anything, but I still had my hand on Sam's shoulders, so I followed her. She probably didn't even know where she was going, but neither did I. Suddenly there was this purple light in front of us. I looked closely and saw that Jack opened a door. He looked around for a while and then waved at us to follow him. We all walked through the door one by one. As I walked closer to this mesmerizing purple light, the loud techno music started to come back. Next thing I knew, we were inside. I finally got a clear look at where we were. We were at the restrooms. Then I looked at my friends on my right. They were looking out to a room that just kept changing colors.

"Damn." Said Sam. "Looks like Jack isn't as crazy as we thought."

"I kept telling you guys." Said Jack.

I looked out into the room with them. The place was live and packed. The music shook the floor.

"Well." Said Jack. "Whatcha guys waiting for. We partying or what?!"

"Let's goooo!" Screamed Sam as she pulled me to the dance floor.

She kept pulling me until we had enough room to ourselves. Then she let go of me and started dancing with the crowd. She was jumping to the beat of song and trying to pull me in. At first the place was pretty overwhelming, but then I started to feel beat. First my head was moving, then my feet, then my hips. Then I started showing some of my moves.

"There you go, there you go!" Said Sam.

Then she came close to me and put her hands on me. I just followed along. 'Going with the flow', just like Jack. We were moving in unison. Her hands on my shoulder and my hands on her hips.

"You think you can keep up!" Said Sam.

"Whatcha got girl?!" I said.

Then she turned around and let my hands on her stomach and hips. Then she began to sway back and forth. She was dancing a little dirty. I'm not gonna go into detail about it, but I did like it. Then, when she got comfortable, I reached my hand for her tail. I tugged it a little and she jumped. Then she turned back around and pushed me on the shoulder.

"Hey!" She said laughing a little. "You naughty wolf!"

I laughed with her and kissed her right quick. Then we kept dancing together. I looked around for a while and I saw Alice to my right dancing with a group of boys.

"Oh, look at this!" I said.

"Ha! Go easy on them girl!" Said Sam.

"No promises!" Said Alice.

Then the song stopped and the DJ picked up the mic.

"Alright Ya'll. It's time to show us what you got." He said. Then he turned this new song on. It was this rap song with really loud bass. "Okay, I want to see you move out there, alright." Said the DJ.

Then the people around us started going to another spot on the dance floor. They were cheering for some reason. Sam and me then followed the crowd to see what was going on. Jack, Alice, and Ryan soon followed. When I looked in the crowd, I found out that all the hype came from this lizard that was dancing.

"What's going on?" Said Sam.

"Looks like a dance competition." I said.

"What," Said Jack. "That dude can't dance."

"Well I guess we should show him how." Said Sam.

Then Sam pushed some people out of the way to get in the middle. Once she finally got there she started showing off. She moved with such style and flair, and the crowd loved it.

"Oh, we got a hot one here tonight ya'll." Said the DJ.

Then Sam finished with a pose. The whole crowd cheered. Then I wanted to go. I walked in the middle and just started moving my feet to the rhythm. Then started moving like crazy. The crowd was starting to cheer me on and that gave me a lot of energy. I wanted to end off real good. So I looked around to make sure I had room. Then I jumped up and flipped right on my feet. The place went crazy.

"Now that's how we do it!" I screamed.

"That ain't nothing!" Said Jack. "Watch this."

Then Jack ran to the middle and immediately went to the floor and started spinning in so many different ways. First on his hands, then his back, and once with his legs spinning in the air. It was crazy. Then again, Jack probably practices this stuff everyday in his room. That probably explains his homework problem. While Jack was in the spotlight, Sam and me went over to get a drink. We walked to the bar and sat down.

Then some guy came to us and said. "What will it be guys?"

"Just some water." Said Sam.

"Same." I said.

The dude gave each of us a bottle of water and gave him some money. Then Alice came over to us and sat down.

"What happened to those group of guys you were with?" I asked.

"They started arguing with each other and I sneaked away when they weren't looking." Said Alice.

"You are always starting trouble." Said Sam laughing a little.

Alice just shrugged her shoulders.

I have to admit that this was really fun. Everyone was having a good time and the music made me want to dance some more. But the fun was ruined when this human came up to us. He had this brown raggedy coat on and some jeans. He had a bottle with him too. I looked at the way he was walking and could tell that he was really drunk.

He wobbled over to Sam and said. "Hey pretty ladies."

"Ew." Said Alice.

"Oh wait, you ain't a lady." He said at a slow pace. "You're a dog and you're a rabbit."

Then he laughed. Man, it was probably the most annoying laugh I ever heard.

"Why don't you go bother someone else man." I said.

"Hey dog." He said to me. "Why you got to start something. I just want to talk."

"I'm a wolf, dumb ass." I said.

"Well good for you." He said. Then he took a sip from his bear bottle.

I just started to ignore him until he reached out and tried to pet Sam's head.

"Hey!" Said Sam. "Hands off creep."

"Come girls." He said. "You got to loosen up."

Then Jack and Ryan came over.

"Hey, we got a problem over here." Said Jack trying to sound tough.

He was a bit threatening, but what he said was kind of lame.

"Look." Said the guy with his arms spread out. "I don't see why I can't talk to these ladies."

"Maybe you should leave, because you were never welcomed over here." Said Ryan.

Man, my friends need to work on being more intimidating.

"Maybe you should mine your business pip squeak." Said the guy. Then he pushed Ryan to the floor. Everyone was shocked. That's when I got real pissed.

"Hey buddy." I said while tapping the dude on the shoulder.

When he turned around to look at me, I punched him right in his face. I guess it was kind of hard because he fell right to the floor and didn't get up.

"Damn!" Said Jack.

"Hey, what's going on?!" Said a loud voice.

We all looked and saw this huge security guard at the other side of the club. He was coming to us real fast.

"Oh crap." Said Alice.

"Run!" Said Jack.

We all ran like hell. We pushed and shoved people out of the way. My heart was racing. I was terrified and the only thing on my mind was to get out of this place. After a lot of shoving, we all managed to get out.

"Hey, stop right there!" The guard said.

"Keep going!" Scream Alice.

We all ran as far away as we could from the club. Me and Jack in the front, the two girls in the middle, and Ryan was losing speed in the back.

"Come on, keep up man!" Screamed Jack.

We all kept running until we came to a turn and went into an ally. We all stopped and caught our breaths. Ryan fell to his knees in exhaustion.

"Is he following us?" Asked Sam.

I looked out of the ally and was relieved to see the sidewalk empty.

"No, we're good." I said.

Then we all just looked at one another and just started laughing.

"Okay guys. To be honest, I don't even think that security guy was chasing us." I said

We all laughed.

"You think I'm gonna give him a chance to catch me?" Said Sam.

"I don't think we even gave him the chance to see us." Said Alice.

We all laughed again.

"Well, I know that Eddy didn't give that drunk a chance to look at him." Said Jack. "You knocked that dude out."

"Hey man, if someone crosses that line, then they should be able to take a punch." I said.

"I think I had a chance against him." Said Ryan making a joke.

"Thanks Eddy." Said Sam.

"Hey, I'm not going to let anyone treat you like that." I said.

"So you guys want to comeback next week?" Said Jack.
