Hello Matheau and Beijore fans! This took forever to get 'done', and I apologize. It is incomplete, as you can see. I'm missing a big chunk in the middle, I'm still stuck and don't know what to do about it, but i wanted to put SOMETHING out there. I'm open to suggestions.......That line that goes all the way across, the seperation? Everything below that line was where I actually started this story.

Matheau and Beijore: Attack From Within

"Matheau......Matheau!" Beijore hissed lightly into his ear, swatting his flank with her tailtip, startling him awake. "I know your not used to this, but you need to stay awake!" Matheau grumbled and shifted himself more comfortably on his throne, returning his attention to the dragon with his head bowed to the floor below them, as he gave his boring report.

"Errr, in summary, your Majesty, some of the dragons in the outlying areas are concerned that unless the weather turns more favorable, that the number of game animals may diminish, and that will of course have a direct effect upon the kingdom." This was about the norm of their days ruling as King and Queen after the excitement of the ceremony. Day in and day out they came into the throne room and reclined on their thrones while boring, droning reports were delivered to them. It was amazing that this was only the third time in a week that he had fallen asleep so far.

"Thank you for your report, Kronos. We will discuss this between ourselves to try and find a solution. If nothing else presents itself, we will open our own stores to share out amoungst the outlying villages. Please take them word that we will not let them starve when the winter arrives." The dragon gave a bow and turned to leave, thankfully the last of the dragons they had to hear out for the day. "Matheau, really. Can you even make it through ONE afternoon of reports without falling asleep?" She said it half-jokingly, giving him a playful nip to his shoulder, but Matheau felt the justice of it none-the-less.

"I'm sorry, love, but it's just so boring! I mean, when I was a human, I remember visiting a kingdom once, and the King there was so busy that he didn't have time for anything, not even visiting with his people the way that we do." He sighed softly and looked out one of the windows overlooking the vast gardens. "I guess I just feel like i'm not doing what i'm supposed to be doing.....Or that i'm letting you and the kingdom down by being lazy." To this Beijore merely laughed as she got off her throne and motioned for him to follow her.

"My Lord, you seem to be forgetting that we are not humans, we are dragons. We are much more efficent and self-sufficent than humans are. Why do you think that this throne room is not constantly flooded with dragons complaining of the tiniest of problems? We do not need to rely on just a King and Queen to take care of everything. That is what makes us better than humans." She lead him out of the throne room, past a pair of bowing guards, down a corridor leading towards their private chambers. "Now come, let us go and relax a little while before dinner. I'll even massage your shoulders for you......I know how much you enjoy that." This made Matheau brighten a little, and he followed after her, nipping at her tailtip playfully making her giggle.

"Why, the adventures that we used to have together as hatchlings." Kronos said, as though she had not spoken at all. "I remember a time way back when, just the two of us alone in that hidden little spot in the apple orchard, just the two of us...." His voice was low and husky, and the memories of her time with him came back in a rush. Seeing the recognition flare in her eyes, the coy drake was all too eager to pounce. "So you DO remember, after all." He said, stepping a bit closer so that while ther bodies weren't quite touching, she could feel the heat emnating from him. "All that time we spent kissing and cuddling, I would have sworn even back then that we were destined to be mates, such was our love."

"Love?" Beijore snorted in amusement, moveing her body away from Kronos, unfurling her wings a bit for more space. "We were too foolish hatchlings fooling in a world we didn't even understand." Realizing how icily she said this, she softened her tone a bit. "But we were very good friends, Kronos, and just because I am now your Queen does not mean that we still can't be. But that is all we can be, Kronos. I have a mate now, your King, and a family. There will be no more kissing or snuggling, or hidden place in the orchard, ever again."

"He can't even stay awake for one lousy report! Your mated to a weak, incompetant fool, Beijore!" She was so shocked and appauled at this statement that she was completely unprepared for him to push her, making her stumble backwards into an unused storage room. He quickly followed after her and slammed the door . With a wordless motion of his paw, there was an audible sound, almost like a click, and she knew that she was locked in the room with him. "This may not be a beautiful apple orchard in full bloom, nor the circumstances for which I would have hopped, but I think it will do. I love you, Beijore, and I always have! You have no idea how heartbreaking it was for me, to ask your father for is consent to court you, only to have him inform me that you had departed the kingdom days earlier!"

"Yes, it was devestatingly heartbreaking, I'm sure." Beijore said sarcastically. "If you had loved me so very much, you would have set out after me right then. Even a hatchling as dull as you were knows how to follow a scent trail." This time Kronos was taken aback, and Beijore pressed the advantage. "I'm sure you were upset....For five minutes, before you went and sought comfort beneath the tail of that lavender scaled harlot...What was her name again, Kronos? Ohhhh yes, now I remember. Ignorant little Violet, as silly and stupid as the parents who named her." Kronos glared daggers at her, but said nothing. "What, you didn't think I knew? You werent the only one trying to win their way to my bed, you know. And I caught you and Violet in the act several times, feeding her the same lines that you fed me every day." She sighed softly, shaking her head* "I knew all along, I suppose. Males will be males, after all. But to be betrayed by someone as close as you were....You were my only real friend back then, Kronos.....Why do you think I left in the first place?"

"You wish to try and guilt trip ME?" Kronos said, barking out in obnoxious laughter. "Sorry my dear, but that isn't going to happen. But I will take a moment to explain to you precisely what is going to happen." He began to stalk towards her once more, causing Beijore to back up until her tail hit the wall behind her. "Since we are in an enclosed room that you can't possibly escape, I'm sure you can guess part of it." Kronos smirked nastily as he saw the dawning horror on her face. "Yes, I am going to mate with you, my Queen. And when I have, you will tell the entire kingdom that you are heavy with my eggs, and that I am their true King. Then that twit Matheau will be publically executed for raping the !ueen....The we can be the happy mated couple we were always meant to be."

"Your insane!" Beijore said, evading him as best as she could in the tight room. "If you really think that any of that is going to happen, you are delusional!"

"I don't see how your going to keep it from happening." Kronos said, licking his lips. "You can only evade me for so long, and this room is sound proofed. No one knows where we are, my sweet. Now come, why not just make this easy on yourself? I can assure you that you will highly enjoy it."

"I imagine mating with you must be anything but pleasant. I would almost feel pity for Violet. Almost, if she wasn't such a slut that she would let any trash beneath her tail!" Beijore spat.

"Your certainly one to talk about letting anyone beneath their tail." He snapped back, for the first time in real anger. "You don't think that the entire kingdom is stupid, do you? We can all tell by his scent alone that he isn't a pure blooded dragon. He's a half human bastard peasant! You mated far beneath yourself!"

"And if you think that makes the slightest bit of difference, you truely are stupid, Kronos." Beijore said venomously, losing some of her fear to anger. "Nowhere in the rules of succession does it state that I must be mated to a full blooded dragon, or even a dragon at all, for that matter. I could have become mated to a gryphon, had I fallen in love with one, and he would have been your king! And," she couldn't help but add. "If I had mated a worthless wretch like you then I would have mated beneath myself. Matheau is ten time the dragon you could ever be!" With her anger near to boiling, she had not even noticed Kronos get into range of her, but the moment the last words were out of her mouth, Kronos snarled savagely and struck her across her face hard, making her stumble and fall. She cried out in pain as her head hit the floor, and stars burst in her field of vision. She instantly grwe nauseated and it was then that her fear grew tenfold. Not for herself, but for the eggs that may even now be forming themselves in her belly.

"You will never again speak to me in such a fashion, do you understand me?" He hissed bout above her, as though he had own her.

"<Matheau, my love, if you can hear me, please help me.>" Beijore pleaded with all the strength of her mind. She and Matheau had begun to try and use mental communication months before, in their private home. It was vastly difficult for Matheau, who had not been born a dragon, but after some time and much practice, they had established enough of a connection to converse telepathically from a few rooms away. But the problem now was that Matheau could be anywhere in the palace, or even outside of it. "<Kronos has me trapped in an unsed store room. He has already struck me and.....And he means to rape me. The store room is in the same hallway as our private chambers......>"

She couldn't concentrate any longer, for Kronos grabbed her hind leg and dragged her bodily across the floor towards him, removing several of her scales and scraping her wing membranes badly. She could feel hot streaks of blood running down her hid as she struggled against the stronger drake. "You dare clain to love me, but you'll treat me like this and force yourself upon me?!" She scread at him in equal parts terror and anger.

"It is because I love you that I must do this." Kronos said as he struggled to get her under control. He fought with her for several minutes while she lashed out with her hind legs and tail, even using her wings to try and bat at his face and push him away. What she at first mistook for hissing and growling from Kronos was actually a spell being woven, and she realized it too late. Magical vines crept up through the cracks of the floor and secured themselves around her forelegs, her wings, and her tail, securing each appendage to the floor. Her ankles were next and these vines slowly pulled her legs apart, leaving her slit entirely exposed to Kronos' hungry gaze.

"This could have been pleasurable, my love." Kronos said, speaking as though she had been his mate all along. She tried her best to avert her gaze from his throbbing spire of dragon flesh that was even now dribbling precum onto the scales of her thighs. She shuddered in revulsion and felt dirty, and also sickened at how much her former friend was enjoying this cowardly, disgusting act. Beijore closed her eyes and tried to numb herself to all feeling in her body, but she could still feel the hot tears coursing down her cheeks and Kronos' slick tip probing at her folds. When Kronos uttered a statled cry of surprise and pulled away from her, hope leapt into her breast and her eyes flew open.

She opened her eyes just in time to see Kronos spun around by his shoulder, and his eyes go wide in sheer terror as Matheau's fisted claw slammed into his jaw with such forcwe he was lifted clear off the ground to land on his back. She had been saved, her husband had heard her cries for help! Unable to maintain his spell, the vines holding her disappeared, and she instantly rolled herself into a fetal ball and sobbed in both joy and sorrow. She had survived her ordeal, she had not been raped, and her husband had heard her and had saved her. But she had also lost a childhood friend, no matter how insane he had now become. Three pairs of wings encircled her in safety, the guards, of course. But she could still see through a gap at what was happening.

Kronos had managed to get back to his feet after the initial blow, but that looked to be a mistake. Matheau was now standing on his hind legs and using his tail for balance to beat Kronos senseless, striking again and again with powerful blows, left, right, another left. Kronos went down again, spitting out a few of his teeth. Kronos groaned and spit out a few of his teeth on the floor. "Get up." Matheau growled darkly. But before Kronos could do so, he was kicked hard in the gut, making him retch and curl up. "I said get the FUCK up you son of a bitch!" Another kick came, this one getting the downed drake square in the face. Matheau panted in fury, pacing back and forth in front of the nearly unconcious form of Kronos. Reaching down, Matheau siezed Kronos by the throat and picked him up clear off the ground, not even the toes of his hind legs touching the ground. Beijore have never know that he was that strong. Despite what had nearly happened to her, knowing that he was so strong, and yet so gentle with her.....It excited her a little. "I ought to rip your fucking heart out and let you watch while it beats it's last while you gasp for air." Matheau said, bringing the barely concious drake snout to snout with him. "But.....I won't." Matheau tossed Kronos aside as easily as if he were tossing his ceremonial cape. With a grunt, Kronos landed in a crumpled, bleeding heap at the feet of the three guards shielding her. "Take him to the dungeon, and make certain he is well chained and under guard at all times." Following a chorus of 'yes sire, at once!' they had him bundled away quicker than an eye blink. Matheau imediatel came and knelt at her side, spreading his wing around them so they could be alone.

"My beloved, are you alright?" he asked in a soft, tender voice that wavered with emotion. After such fury and such a display of power, Beijore looked up in surprise to see his eyes misting with tears. "I heard you......It was faint but, I came as fast as I could. I didn't even stop to alert the guards, they just followed me when I started running. Are you hurt? Did he....?"

"No my love, my heart, he did not. You arrived just in time." Seeing him so strong, she realized that she had to be strong for him too. As King, a whole new challenge, one that he had never faced before, was now in front of him. "I just need to rest, my lord. Please, take me back to our chambers.....I'll also need the court physician. I want to sleep without dreaming." She did not need to say why, of course. Matheau gave a nod of understanding and helped her to her feet and let her lean against him for support. He made sure that she was in bed and comfortable before calling for the physician, and then stayed with his mate until he arrived.

It didn't take long for an almost impossibly old gray dragon to shamble into the room, carrying a small leather case. "Good day, m' Lord and Lady. It's nice to finally see the new King in person, but what a preformance at the ceremony, eh!?" As if that wasn't creepy enough to send a shiver up Matheau's spine, the old dragon continued on as he opened his case. "It was enough to stir the heat in the loins of an old codger like me, even! Mated three times, I did. Now, what can I do for you?"

Just a sleeping poultice for my Queen." Matheau said. 'And please, no more stories, my mate is likely to have nightmares as it is.' This last was meant to have been kept to himself, of course, but a slight smile tugged at his wife's lips, signifying that he had not been as quiet as he had hoped, but to see even that ghost of a smile made him infinately happy. Once the potion had been taken, Matheau sat with his beloved and spoke soft words of comfort and love until she drifted off to sleep. Slipping quietly from the room, he summoned two guards to post on either side of the door. "No one is to enter these chambers but me. If the Queen wakes up before I return, I will be atop the north tower."

The north tower was the one that Matheau always went to when he needed to think. It was the one tower that required no sentry, so it's peace and quiet was always what he sought, as well as the beautiful view. It overlooked not only the castles numerous gardens, but also pointed directly towards the towering waterfall. With the beauty and peace of such a view, it made it an ideal place to get lost in thought. Two more guards were posted at the base of the tower with orders that no one was to disturb him, save for the Queen.

"What is there to think about?" A lemon yellow colored guard asked after Matheau had ascended the tower. "If I was in that position, I'd have ripped the bastards throat out and have been done with it."

"Ach, ye young bloods are so hot headed." A large blue said, giving a swat to the back of yellow's head with his tail tip. "Don't ye think that be what he wanted ta do? But he be tha King, and in that situation, it woulda been murder, plain and simple. He thinks before he acts, even in tha face of his wife getting violated. He's got tha makins of a great King."

"You do know he's not a full blooded dragon, right?"

"O' course ah do, whelp, and it don't make one jot o' difference. Now shut yer ignorant yap an mind yer post."

****************

The judgement was held the next day in the huge open courtyard where the previous ceremony was held. There were no empty seats, for word of the crime had spread like wildfire. The general emotion was outrage. Beijore had been born here, and most had known her for some time before she left the kingdom, and she was well loved by the people.

The affair was very formal, almost ceremonial in nature. Both King and Queen had their scales oiled to a bright shine, and both wore their crowns and capes, as well as their ceremonial anklets, rings and necklaces, all of which Matheau generally despised wearing, but this time put them on grimly and with no fuss.

"Bring forth the accuse!" Matheau bellowed, his deep voice echoing throughout the courtyard, silencing the murmurs of the crowd. Kronos was brought out by a pair of strong dragons, each bearing a thick chain that was fastened to a steel collar around his throat. A strong enough pull from either of them would have snapped his neck. Even with his swollen shut right eye, multiple bruises and broken teeth, Kronos managed to sneer at Matheau defiantly and puff out his chest. "You stand before the crown and council today accused of the following crimes, Kronos. Treason, assault, attempted rape of the Queen, and conspiracy to Patricide. Do you deny any of these charges?" Kronos said nothing for long moments, then looked up at Beijore.

"I deny none of the charges." He said at last.

"Have you any final words before I pass judgement?" Matheau asked.

"Only these. I do not regret my actions. In my mind and heart I was in the right, only trying to claim what was mine." This brought hisses and roars of outrage from the assembly of dragons, and Matheau stood up from the throne, motioning for silence.

"Then I shall now pass judgement. As a husband, there is nothing more I'd rather have than your head on my wall for what you have done." He paced slowly down the aisle to stand in front of Kronos. "But I will not be known to my kingdom as a bloodthirsty ruler who craves revenge. No, I will give you a punishment far worse than death." He raised his voice for the entire assembly to hear him. "Let it be known, dragons of Alexandria, that I will execute no dragon, unless it is a crime as foul as the murder of a hatchling." Matheau turned back to Kronos, lowering his voice. "Hold him." Matheau said grimly, and the guards had siezed and and held his forelegs, and another stepped forward and held his head. Kronos roared in pain as Matheau's talon marked a deep 'x' on his forehead, starting at the top of his eyeridges, crossing between his eyes, and ending beneath them.

"Let all who see this accursed mark know it's bearer is an exile from our glorious kingdom!" The crowd roared in approval, and Matheau himself removed the binding collar Kronos wore, speaking so only Kronos could hear him. "The guards will escort you to the boundry of the kingdom. Get you gone before I decide my mercy was misplaced."

"I'll see you dead at my feet for this, you halfling whelp!" He spat to the side and with no further words, launched himself into the air.

"I am proud of you, my lord." Beijore said, stepping up beside him, watch the trio fly off to the west. "I had thought for certain you were going to have him publically executed."

"It may have been better if I had." Matheau replied, his expression grim. "I highly doubt that that is the last we see of him."

Two Days Later......

Kronos stopped at an icy river to take several deep swallows, sighing in relief. The guards that were his 'escort' harassed him for much further than the kingdoms border, and he had hardly dared to stop until they had at last turned and returned the way they came. Now that his thirst was slaked, his fury returned anew. "When I get my claws on that halfling and his bitch Queen....." Suddenly all sunlight was blocked as a massive dragon landed before him, and Kronos backed up a pace to stare up at the shadowed outline of the dragon, but even so could make out no definitive details.

"What would you do to them, I wonder?" the dragon rumbled in a voice so deep, it sounded like two mountains being ground together. "Give me your loyaty, and your aid, and I will see to it you get your chance, for I have a score to settle with that halfling as well......You can do as you like with the bitch Queen, she matters nothing to me. But I will see the halfling dead with my own claws.....Do we have a deal?" Kronos didn't know this dragon, or how it knew about Matheau, or Beijore for that matter, but he did know one thing. He was absolutely terrefied of him.

"My loyalty and aid is all you require, you say?" Kronos said, tryin to be brave in the face of the almost unearthly giant. But the thought of being able to use Beijore however he saw fit had an evil smile creeping slowly over his muzzle. "You have them, sir."
