James, balling with Kate and his fleet arrived where the portal is. It was at least three times the size of what it was when the trio first spotted it And it was still growing. As the ships landed on the ground, the men began to assume all battle stations. Kate spit James out of her mouth once again. She looked at him lovingly and gave him a long kiss, sliding her tongue into his mouth and rubbing his tongue teasingly. Then Kate pulled her head back parting her lips With James's.

"If one dies, so will the other" Kate said with a worried look.

"What do you mean Kate?" James asked...

She pointed her claw at his chest saying "when I fused my soul with you, it bound our life force together. Because of this, when if you die, I will die. And if I die, so will you." She said.

"We'll just watch out for eachother then. However, remember once you start fighting be more worried about your opponent, worry about me too much, that alone will get us both killed. Keep your mind in the fight". James said

"Let me see that sword of yours, James". Kate asked

James drew the sword and Kate examed it.

"That sword is enchanted. Why did you not tell me sooner?" Well I guess that question is irrelevent. But here, try pointing that sword and say grieun. It means sun fire in eleven tongue".

"Grieun!" James shouted pointing the sword east of where they where at.

A large ball of white flames shot from the tip of the sword and the fire light disappeared as it went to the horizon.

"How... Oh wait. I remember you saying something about being most knowledgeable in magic". James said

Kate nodded while smiling. "Now, raise the blade and say cosar". Kate instructed

Cosar! A translucent mass of energy formed around James. Kate gave James a maniacal grin. She rose up on her hind legs, and shot a large wall of flames at James. James fell to the ground shocked at what Kate done. But he quickly noticed he was unharmed.

"Cosar, the elven word for shield. You didn't think I'd really torch you did you?" Kate said playfully.

"Now lets go. You need to prepair yourself". Kate said

James went up to the ships, everyone stared at both him and Kate.

"What!!!" James asked.

"We saw Kate teaching you magic. Also not to mention that kiss you two gave eachother. That was a little disturbing". Alex said.

James shruged his shoulders, saying "you cannot help it when you're in love even if it is not human. Kate is still a creature of Intellegence and capable of making her own choices. There is no wrong in it", James said.

"Cant argue with that I guess. It still turns my stomach though". Jackie said.

Jacob came up to James. "So you got a new lover huh? Haha! Never thought you'd fall in love with a man eating reptile. Well it's against my views, but God does believe in free will."

Oh hell no, I don't need to be preached to, Jacob. Besides, Kate saved my life twice. And the second time she saved me, I was as good as dead untill..." James took his shrt off, revealing the fist size patch of black scales on the left side of his chest.

The three examined the scales on James's chest.

"Whats that!" Alex yelled.

"Kate fused her life force and soul with mine. And the scales on my chest is what covers a wound. I got stabbed in my left lung with a spear by an undead dwarf. My machine gun jammed, the spent shell was wedged in the firing chamber and I could not get the spent shell out. I resorted to my pistol and sword. But I was outnumbered and was quickly overrun". James said

"Well, you know you've already fought three battles with hell. You know the rules, four battles and you get to go home". Alex said

James smiled and said, "I am home".

"Send out all our men out here. I want to say something". James said.

Twenty minutes latter, all the men and women rallied in front of James.

"Everyone, as you know I've served in three wars with hell. This one is my fourth. As you all know as a recon fleet, our men are few. With only 500 of us, I cannot promise victory. But remember what you will fight for. To push back evil itself, and tell these bastards they cannot use the life force of our universe that is home to not only all world, but our world as well. That's what is important to you all. Your friends, family, wives, sons, daughters. To make sure they never have to see the horrors of hell. I see it in your eyes. The same fear that could easily consume the hearts of the best men. Show no fear, remember who you truly fight for. Tomorrow, we face death head on! To waaaarrrrr!!!"

His men made a loud battle cry. Even Kate joined with a dreadful and terrifying roar, fallowed by flames.

"Rest well for you all will need it my brothers". James said

About four hours latter all where asleep except James. Him and Kate switch off in being lookouts for hell's armies.

James heard marching sounds. Several thousand stress can be heard in the distance. James sat up and woke up Kate. Kate heard it too.

"Look to see who it is, Kate. Be cautious, fly high". James said.

Kate nodded, and took to the skies.

Only five minutes latter, Kate returned. This time she wasn't alone. A familiar face was with her.

"Syrris! You're back!" James said happily giving Syrris a hug around the neck.

"Yes and not alone either. I managed to bring three thousand dwarves with me". Syrris said.

"You did a damn good job, Syrris. This will surely help the moral of my solders". James said.

"Yah, there's a catch to it, James". Syrris said with a toothy grin.

"Oh no..." James said. And that was all that could be said before her jaws clamped around James. Syrris played with him using her tongue. She then said "you're an awesome chew toy, James".

"Mmmppphh!" James said

Kate stood there laughing thinking the situation was quite funny

Alex came up to James, Kate, and Syrris. "Having fun, James?" Alex said.

Syrris spit him out. James spit out the saliva that found its way into his mouth. And wiping the drool off of his face. Alex laughed seeing James covered in drool.

James gave Alex a maniacal grin. "Hey look Syrris, another chew toy".

Alex's face went from laughter to a face full of petrifying fear. In moments he was in Syrris's mouth. Syrris began playing with him and enjoying how he tasted.

"Maybe he can go into your storage stomach while your at it, Syrris." James said

Syrris liked the idea of scaring the shit out of humans. And she did so. The trio can hear Alex saying "let me out!" Over and over again.

Kate almost felt bad for Alex. "Ok you two, you had your fun", Kate said.

"Oh come on Kate. Sense when do you feel bad for humans?" Syrris said

"When I fell in love with James". Kate said

"I hope I never, ever fall in love with a human!" Syrris said

Syrris spit out Alex. The poor human was absolutely speechless. Then his senses came back to him. "What the fuck James!!!!!" Alex said

James was laughing so hard he began to caugh a little.

"This dragon just ate me and all you can do is laugh?" Alex said

"Hmmm, define eaten, human". Syrris said

Alex looked at Syrris in confusion.

"Eat you, yes. Kill you? No. We dragons are not in the habit of killing friends. Where not mindless ravenous beasts you know..." Syrris said

Alex had nothing to say. Instead he just stood up and punched James in the face.

"Ouch!!!" James said while still laughing.

"That's what you get for making me think I was going to die when that was not so". Alex said.

"We'll you knew I was always a sick little bastard, Alex". James said while laughing.

Alex paused a second remembering all the other sick jokes James played on him. He took a deep breath and said. "And I cannot find a way to get you back on this one can I? Yes James you out did yourself on this one."

"Haha! I couldnt do it without Syrris." James said

The dwarven armies have arrived. They looked to the sky in horror seeing the portal above them. True to her word, Syrris brought the army to fight.
