This species I have been working on for a while and I'm sure I am not done yet, as you can tell by the sketches. But however I will try to develop them further.

New Species 'Gyseios' (Gyseian, Gysei, Gyseia)

Species type: mammalian humanoid.

Genders: Male, female and switch gendered

  • Males : specially bred to be completely male with no feminine qualities, though still lithe. Mostly serve as soldiers of the God Ghaos
    • The males are a pale orange to contrast the dark females.
  • Females : specially bred to serve the Goddess Geyoias as hand maidens and other occupations. Completely female in all ways, though not all are capable of childbirth
    • They are also a dark bluish grey.
  • Switch gendered : all of which are of one gender on top and the opposite on the bottom. Females sport breasts and phalluses, while males have no mammary glands and have a vaginal mound. In this way, the family unit it completely necessary as one Gyseian along cannot care for children.
    • The coloration is the same for the switched gendered as the ones with male genitals are the dark blue and the ones with the female genitals are pale orange.

Appearance : aside from the above description, the Gyseian range from lithe to voluptuous. The switch gendered are close to looking androgynous because of the mixed sex organs and balancing of the hormones. They have long or broad muzzles and pink, black or marbled noses. The original size of the ears are a few inches longer than the length of the average muzzle and they have four inch long tufts on the end. The tails are proportionally the same length of their leg with curly tufts on the end that are bigger than their head.

  • Hair color : the hair color varies for each Gyseian and in shine. The older they become, the duller the hair becomes. The fur becomes duller with age. Anyone associated with the Goddess has pale grey hair.
  • Eye color : varies from person to person. The only non-normal colors are lavender, grey, yellow and orange.
  • Genital color : usually either pink or black

The Gyseian don't keep a written record of when they were born, nor of how old they are. They know age by the amount of jewelry they wear. The jewelry ranges from tail rings, bracelets, earrings, rings and piercings. (Location of the piercings are determined by the age of the individual; usually genital piercings are worn by adults). The month of birth is determined by inlays inserted into a base piece of jewelry given to newborns, each month having a specific stone.

The size of the ring increases with each milestone of life and are often switched out.

  • 1 year - small rings or piercings, pending on the age; until the Gysei reaches the year of 5, small clasp earrings are worn. These can also be worn in the hair.
  • 5 years - any 'five year' set is either a ring or earring that is twice the size of a 'year' ring. These can also be worn in the hair.
  • 10 years - significantly larger piece of jewelry that is heavy and can be worn on the tail.
  • 50 years - the second heaviest ring created, made for those who are older. Usually only up to three are ever worn at one time.
  • 100 years - marking a century of time that has passed and the heaviest ring made. The goddess wears two on each ear and two on her tail, though they are not accurate in determining her age.

The oldest living ones have long drooping ears and tails because of the number of piercings. They are also so heavy, causing those who have them removed to be stronger and faster for a year after which the muscles regulate to less stress and weight.

The jewelry also comes in different metals, with different inlays depending on the occupation, class and other determining factors. Some of them, such as bracelets and necklaces will display motifs depending on what role they play in the community.

Religion: The religion of the Gyseian is mostly monotheistic. The Goddess, who represents Life, Goodness and Fertility, is matriarchal figure of their land. Though kind and fair, the Goddess also has a masculine side that stand for Lust, War and Death. They are one and the same being.

Culture: These creatures are gentle, nurturing creatures that are family oriented. They are raised to love one another mutually. Strength in numbers is one of the belief systems that supported the way their community was built. There are sections built so that those with certain skills can live close by with their families. (i.e. Blacksmiths all live in the same area with their families and the building with which they do their jobs is located there as well). In this way, there is a trade system between everyone as this makes a codependency in the community.

Housing : Each family lives in a small clay house with minimal furniture and mostly contains a living area, a place to prepare meals and sleeping quarters. They also contain a water closet that holds one toilet. These housing structures are only for the most common laborers, but it isn't unpleasant.

For the higher-ups, there is different housing. There are larger houses that are mansion sized and therefore can accommodate larger families and those who associate themselves with the Holiness. The homes for the large families are a few times the size of the clay huts depending on the size of the family. They are made out of wood and stone. Usually, the large size indicates an agricultural lifestyle or any other kind of trade that requires many people or spacious land. There are also the other buildings that serve the purpose of housing the Goddess' handmaidens, the God's soldiers, schooling for the adolescents, and a university for the adults.

The handmaidens and the soldiers have separate living quarters due to the fact that they are not to be in a mated pair and it is to deter yearnings and accidents.
