Finally for one night Xarksies slept soundly. He ususally has some dream along the lines of nightmares, that were usually of something horrifying. But last night was different. Last night he had a dream where he and Betholma were holding paws, walking along the beach shoreline. Then, they stopped for a breif second, and kissed. The other people who were watching were okay with the kiss. Everyone was with their mates. some were gay couples, some straight ones. When Xarksies awoke, he had a huge smile planted on his face.

He looked over to his left side to see Betholma, with his left arm around Xarksies. He didn't want to wake him, so he slipped out of his grip, and took a well needed shower. When he came out, Betholma was still sound asleep on Xarksies' bed. So, Xarksies went out and started making something for them both to eat, once Betholma awoke, and came out. When it was almost done, Betholma was trying to sneak up to Xarksies, trying to scare him.

"Um, hon, sorry to ruin your parade, but I can see you. You're not the sneaky type."

"I know, don't remind me mate." Betholma said, not trying to have a smile attack. And Xarksies wasn't having it easy etither. He was fighting to keep from getting turned on from Betholma's sexy body.

"I won't lie, but I'm trying to not get hard from your amazing smell, and the look of you."

"Well, seems like it's okay, you can let go," Betholma said, with a smile on his face as well. "There you go sweetie, let it out." Betholma was now lurking around closer to the ground than ever, sneaking a peek at the almost finished food.

"Hey, no, bad boy, you can wait." Xarksies said, as he handed Betholma a strip of bacon.

"Yay, I am victorious!" Bethola said, as he exited the room, arms raised in victory. After the food was finished, they begun to talk about their plans for later, which Betholma had already planned to go out with Xarksies, secretly.

"Hey, um, Xarksies," Betholma began "Can we go somewhere, it'll be a little ways of a drive, but I think that you should see it. Oh, and you NEED to wear a blindfold, just something added for a little bit of suspence. But we have to leave when it's getting dark."

"Sure, I'd love to see anything that you have in mind for me." Xarsksies was very nervous, yet very anxious for what Betholma had in mind.

When the night came, Xarksies put on his blindfold, and Betholma carefully guided him to his seat in the car in which they were going to spend a few hours in. They drove, and talked for a while, then they both finally arrived at the stopping point.

"Here we are, don't try to get out, I'll come get you." Betholma got out and helped Xarksies out of the car, and once more guided him into a cricular patch of a grassy plain surrounded by tens of candles. He told him to take off his blindfold, so he complied to his instructions, and what he was was amazing. He saw the open, grassy plain, he saw the candles, and he saw Betholma, and them both were fancily dressed up.

"Xarksies, I know that it's been over ten years since we first met, and I loved every single moment of those years. And since then, we started going out only a few months ago. I love to see you happy, and hate to see you when you're down. Ever since 8th grade, I loved you because you were my savior, and helped me out when I needed it, and God knows I wouldn't have made it out safely without you. I started likeing you then. Over the years, that little likeing turned into love, and you were the only one that I've truley loved. Before you, I had a little girlfriend, except I didn't love her like I love you, it was just a little thing, I don't know if were were even right, it was like we were pretending or something like that. I was striving to be good in everyone's eyes, but your eyes stood out from the rest of the crowd. I want you to know that I appreciate your efforts to help me, and I need your presence. Without you, I feel incomplete, so there's only one question that lies left on the table," Betholma said, with a few tears that came down his face. Betholma began to take out a peice of folded paper out of his pocket, and started reading it out loud, and it read:

"Xarksies, ti voglio bene e non voglio separarmi da te. Quando non sei al mio fianco, ti voglio lì. Quando sono con te, mi sento come se niente ci può separare, io ti amo, e non voglio che lasciare la mia vita. Ora, ho bisogno di sapere qualcosa. Will you mary me, Xarksies, I want nothing to be between us, I love you, and need you." Betholma said to Xarksies, getting down on one knee, and taking out a ring he secretly bought. Xarksies stood there, crying his eyes out. He was happy that Betholma had asked him, but didn't know what to say. So he said nothing for a few minutes, then he finally spoke after a few minutes passed.

"I'm very sorry Betholma," Xarksies said. "My answer is no, I'm sorry, I truley am. I don't want you to think that I don't love you, because I do, but I think that I'm just not ready for a comitment like this. I mean, we've only been going out for a few months, and I think that we need to go out a little longer before I answer something like that. Once I say "Yes" we can't go back, I'm sorry." Xarksies concluded, walking over to Betholma, to wipe away his tears, and pulled him into a tight hug, in which Betholma hugged back tightly, and he never felt safer in anyones arms, but Betholma's.
