Hello everyone I have many storyies that I am now goinveto be posting on SF, I haven't done this before mainly because of my fear of my ability to write. Setting this aside I'm going to have to go through my hard drives and jump drives to find allot of them but in the most part I'm going to be posting my story I am hoping to later in my life turn into a novel. "finding myself". thiIsis the prologue that I had writin some time ago on my iPad's notebook setting so I am yet to correct it andthe paragraphs have no real meaning in it, simply to make it easier to read rather than a mass of words that can be quite confusing to comprehend. Thank you, leave comments plz and tell me what you think :). O and it takes place in a dragons denn high upon a cliff for stone.

Prologue to finding myself.

Fear encased his entire essence, as bright waves of flame spewed toward him. lifting a broad steel shield far in front of his body, crouching until the shield found place in the ground beneath him.

placing his feet firmly upon the slippery gravel laden cave floor, he prepared for the onslaught of physical exertion not far ahead of him. Glowing red gravel flew past his feet as waves of heat pressed upon him. blinding light pressed around his shield making him squint his green slanted eyes to a sliver. great force made him reground himself as flames darted around the shield licking his golden gauntlets.

his exquisite helm rose slightly off the side of each temple protecting his sensitive pointed ears. taking hold of a short sword held in his right hand he prepared himself for the onslaught to precede.

glowing like an angel from the bright light rays of the fire. his feet digging into the ground as he dove straight into the inferno in front of him. flames began to catch pieces of loose cloth on flames that hung out of his golden halbauck.

thrusting his shield forward the flames came to an end, gritting his sparkling teeth he raised his sword above his head sending it down toward his attacker. shining from the remaining flame still present, the sword found its mark sending bright ruby gore across the floor and walls.

a loud screech resonated off the cave walls as sword met flesh lifting his sword for a swipe at his foes side, dark gore clung to the sword as it flew sideways. following the momentum of his blow he gracefully sidestepped away from his previous location where a bulky scaled fore claw now pressed firmly into the gravel crushing whatever tiny creatures that may be below.

backing away 10 paces a more safe distance he found his footing crouching low ready to strike again if the beast in front of him found it wanting to persist him any farther. bright red flicks of light sparkled across the cave walls as the bright sun began rising into the sky.

A dark deep rumbling came from the massive creature that blocked the entrance to the cave, it had deep ruby red scales that encased its body from head to tail. its eyes shone like fiery yellow orbs, long fangs protruded from the front of its long snout.

a light shone within its mouth burning like living fire was inside the creature ready to escape and encase whatever it desired. long pointed horns stuck out at an angle behind his eyes, the creatures neck stretched from its shoulders making up at least half the massive creatures length, broad shoulders made it possible for the creature to have such a heavily packed skull supporting it with much ease.

its scaled forepaw drooled red as the two large gashes bleed profusely right below its thick shoulders and the other that extended down to the creatures right forepaw it ended where it appeared more heavily armored than its other scales that encased its body.

Strong muscles could be seen extending the creatures shoulders throughout its back. its hind legs were fat and hefty appearing to be used for absorbing its landings. Its tail slowly thinned out until it sharpened into a point.

The creature took a step forward wanting its prey to end its stubborn moment of hopefulness. the soldier readied himself the dragon prepared to engulf him in a torrent of fire then indulge itself on his flesh.

unrelenting flame escaped from its slightly open snout as the flame was directioned in a wide cone, searing anything in front of him. as the flames died away leaving the rock glowing hot red as small dead plants began to fall into ash.

the dragon saw the man holding his shield unharmed by its fiery breath. angered by this the dragon leaped forward reopening its wound causing blood to spew forth. landing a little farther into the cave than the man, the dragon began to grab the man in its jaws as its prey presented its shining sword and shield while slowly backing towards the caves exit.

Not wanting to lose its meal the dragon just assaulted the man trying to grab, claw, bite, tear, anything it could do it was just fed up with this annoying little creature. the man stroked back at the crazed dragon as its unrelenting assaults pushed him ever so closer to the edge of the caves great fall.

swiping at the man with its right forepaw it caught the man off-guard landing heavily upon him and the man was thrown right on the edge of the caves floor the dragon quickly leaped onto of the dazed man pinning him below one of his great paws.

the dragon stared at the tiny insect that was pinned in front of him thinking how he was going to remove the annoying armor that encased his next meal. he never liked eating prey with armor it always got stuck between his teeth and made his mouth bleed. pure horror was the only emotion inside the man's eyes and he prepared himself for his next few seconds of life.

A great rumbling began behind the dragon making it turn around seeing many cracks spread throughout the cave entrance tearing apart the rock splitting boulders that were embedded inside the wall of stone.

fist sized rocks began falling from above, as the dragon observed the falling rocks, a great pain spiked up his forepaw that held down the man. the man began to stab repeatedly at the paw that held him, the dragon bellowed through gritted teeth as bones were displaced making a horrible popping noise springing his great snout forward to snap off the man's head off, the ground beneath them splintered in hundreds of places making the ground as unstable as a loose pile of dead leaves. pain ebbed into the base of the dragons skull as fist sized rocks landed upon his body.

the rock that supported them came loose and began to slide down the Cliffside, realizing this the dragon was forced to pound his way up into the air leaving the man as the rock split into boulders that flew at incredible speeds towards the ground.

gazing down the dragon spotted the man leap to his feet then began sprinting and jumping from each boulder and back, a larger boulder obscured the man from the dragons sight. arching his neck the dragon spewed fire into the air as it flapped its way into the clouds above angry it had lost its prey.
