Author's Note: Jeez I am so sorry for the delays. Every time I started to work on this I had to get off. Well hope you guys can forgive me but here's the next part. Also I'm going to be limiting this to about 10 parts in preparation for a new series I'm going to be putting out that will take place around the time Alpha gets his cast taken off. Just to give you guys a hint it's going to be a Zombie Apocalypse story. I may continue the zombie series longer than this one but I hope you guys like this.

I woke up yet again to see John sitting next to my bed with bloodshot eyes. I could tell he had been crying out waterfalls. I realized then just how fragile he was. He was the type of person that wouldn't get too attached to people. He told me once that when you get too attached, it will almost always end in pain. I never really believed him and told him that it was up to the person to decide the outcome. I dismissed the topic from my mind. I would deal with it later. My paws moved to my jaw and I felt bandages wrapped around my lower jaw going inside my muzzle but going under my tongue so I could speak somewhat properly. The touch of my paw on my jaw sent jolts of pain rolling through my head. I groaned loudly and John's head snapped around to look at me. "Alpha," He said tentatively. I looked over at him and gave him a small grin.

This was too much for him and he burst out in tears again. I looked away. Seeing him upset was just too painful for me, especially when he was upset over me. I steadied myself and looked over at John, who was still sobbing. "John," I said softly. He couldn't hear me and continued to sob. I could barely blame him. I felt so helpless laying in that bed, not being able to do anything. "John," I said sharply. His sobs gradually reduced to shudders and but he was still looking at the ground. "John," I said in a softer tone. "John please don't worry about me. I'll be alright." I said softly to him. He tried to look at me but every time he got closer to looking me straight in the eyes, he looked back down again. "John please look at me." I pleaded with him. He looked up into my eyes for about a full second before he looked down again. I held my arms out, "Come here John," I said to him. He didn't move. "John come here please," I was literally begging him now. He got up and slowly walked over to me. I wrapped my paws around him as soon he was within reaching distance.

I never gave him the chance to look at me. I just pulled him in and held him close. I could feel his tears hitting my shoulder. "John it's ok. I'm fine." I whispered to him soothingly. Tears started flowing again and he started shaking as he sobbed again. I patted his back comfortingly. "Shhh everything's going to be just fine." I told him as his sobs gradually broke down into shudders again. I also noticed for the first time that I had a cast on my right arm starting from my wrist, wrapped around my thumb and ending at my elbow. I guess I hadn't noticed in the midst of everything that had happened. Finally John pulled back and said, "I get to take you to my house now." He said to me smiling. I tilted my head in confusion. "Well I thought since your parents won't take you back, you would need a place to stay.

I lay there and thought about it. I would be living with John. I would be able to see him all the time now. I had a moment of unmasked happiness as I continued to think about the idea. He seemed to notice and smiled softly, giving me a soft kiss on the muzzle. He pulled back as the nurse came in and said I was free to leave. I looked at John surprised. "How long have I been here?" I asked him. "4 days." He replied casually. He saw my shocked expression and quickly added, "You were asleep most of the time." He reassured me.

The nurse came over with a wheelchair, which didn't make sense to me, and threw back the sheets revealing my muscular body. Thankfully the bottom half of my body was covered by the black jeans I always wear. I had no idea how they had gotten on my but I hadn't cared at that point. I noticed one foot was bare and the other one had a cast covering my whole foot and going up my pant leg. Ok that answered the question of why the wheelchair was there. I groaned at the thought of having to use a wheelchair and crutches to get around for the next 3 months, which was how long the nurse said I would have to keep it on.

I slid my legs off the bed and sat up, motioning for John to come and help me into the chair. He came over and cradling me in his arms, he set me down softly on the wheel chair. He gave me a shirt and helped me put it on over my cast arm. I lifted my right leg with my paws and set my cast-covered foot down on the foot things or whatever they're called. Once I had both legs placed John made as if to push me along out of the room but I said, "Wait a sec I wanna try moving this on my own." I put my paws on the huge wheels next to me and gave them a push. I was rewarded by a jolt of movement that propelled me towards the door. I gave the wheels another push, which took me straight out of the room.

As I rolled myself down the hall, I began to get the hang of moving the wheelchair without too much difficulty. I eventually let John push me to the elevator, where we went down to the bottom floor. John pushed me out the door where I was met by a blast of warm air. I sighed happily; glad to finally be out of the hospital. I looked up at John, who looked down at me and gave me a soft kiss, smiling. He looked relieved to finally be out of the hospital now. Suddenly a thought occurred to me. I needed to get my stuff from the house!

I mentioned this to John. He immediately shook his head no. "I'm not going to risk losing you again Alpha." He said to me. "I'm not taking no for an answer." I replied. He looked down at me with a conflicted look in his eyes. I stared straight at his eyes and after a while he said, "Fine." He rolled me over to the car and gave me my crutches so I could get in the car.

He rolled the wheelchair back to the hospital, came back, and got back in the car and looked at me with teary eyes. I finally said, "John we have to go get my stuff from my parents house, no matter what it takes." "I know." He replied in a broken voice. "Well then let's go." I said, and he backed up out of the parking space and drove off towards what could possibly be my worst memory.
