After a moment Eric heard the door open and Meria entered the room again with two guards and a prisoner with a cloaked draped over the shoulders. Eric stood as the guards pushed the cloaked figure into the center of the room.
"What is this?" Eric looked at Meria who smiled back with a sly grin. He watched as she
circled the prisoner slowly dragging her fingers around the chest and back. Eric clenched his teeth growing tired of Meria and her games. Meria stopped and looked at Eric noticing the obvious anger growing in him. Chucking softly at Eric she backed away and snapping her fingers. The guards moved to the side of the prisoner and placed a hand on the shoulder. With a wave of her hands the guards moved to the front of the prisoner and began to remove the cloak blocking Eric's view. Meria looked back and smiled
"That will be all." As the guards moved away Eric's eyes widened as he saw who the shackled prisoner was.
"Tess..." He said in disbelief and anger.

"NO!" Eric yelled lunging out of the chair, charging at Meria. Meria simply smiled and stepped behind Tess bringing a claw to her throat causing Tess to gasp.
"Now now, calm yourself." Eric froze. "We wouldn't want anything to happen to your mate, after all she was a hard one to find."
Eric clenched his teeth, "What do you want?"
Meria lowered her hand, smiling a bit. "Your cooperation, in return I'll let her live, and I'll let you see her whenever you please, except for when I have need of you, then when I have what I want I will release both of you." Eric's heart sank as he looked into Tess' questioning eyes. "Do we have a deal, or do I throw her to the guards outside who haven't had a women in their beds for months?"
Eric looked at the ground. "She won't be hurt if I accept?"
"Of course not, she will remain in the safety of the castle and you may see her, except when I need you, when ever you wish, under supervision of course. I promise that she will be treated like a queen."
"And the guards?"
Meria smiled "They wont touch her."
Eric gritted his teeth and looked at Tess, "Deal" he spoke as he looked away tears forming in his eyes.
"Wonderful." Meria let Tess go and she ran to Eric sobbing uncontrollably. "Ill leave you
two alone for a bit to catch up on things." Meria turned "Guards!" she yelled. The door swung open and two guards stepped in. "Make sure they don't leave the room, or try anything funny."
Meria looked back and smiled at Eric who was holding Tess. "I'll be back later lover." She spoke as she walked out the door. Eric watched as she left the room tears rolling down his cheeks. He pulled Tess from his chest and looked at her. She was dressed in the traditional village clothing, which was made up of a lightly decorated skirt and bra. She looked unharmed and Eric breathed a sigh of relief as he looked into her eyes, happy that he was reunited with his mate, but at the same time saddened that they had caught her. wiping the tears away.

Eric looked down at her smiling gently, as if to wash away her sadness. "For what?"
"For getting caught." Tess began to cry even more now barely able to speak.
"Tess." Eric spoke looking into her eyes.
"Ye...yes?" She managed to say while trying to calm herself.
"Its all right, I'm just glad that your safe." Tess smiled and placed her head against Eric's chest nuzzling him gently. "I need to know, what happened in the village." Tess squeezed Eric tightly beginning to shake as she remembered the events that led to her capture.

Tess sleep was shattered by the sounds of screaming. Quickly she rose from bed grabbing her clothing, throwing it on she ran out the door. Tess recoiled in horror as she stepped out side. Before the entrance to the town stood the army that they feared so much. Tess fell to her knees tears falling from her eyes.
"Eric..." She whispered. She watched as the army stormed into town cutting down its citizens with ease. Tess' heart sank, she knew what would happen, there was no out running them.

"How dare you laugh Alex. The enemy is here, and Eric is...."
"I laugh because Eric is very much alive." Tess' eyes widened.
Alex nodded "Yes, Tess Eric is alive." Both of them turned to the army as the army approached, taking their time setting homes ablaze.
"We must hurry, head to the back of the village where the others are, we will hold them off long enough for you to escape."
Tess shook her head tears of happiness falling from her face. "Thank you." She whispered.
"No need to thank me, I am repaying a debt." Alex smiled softly at her.
Tess nodded as she began to run to the back of the village, looking back to see a handful of the towns warriors charge at the oncoming army, while some chanted protection spells. Tess ran as fast as she could to the back of the village. As she approached her destination she froze. Covering her mouth gasping in horror at what she saw. Before her lay the bodies of the village women and children. One figure stood in the middle of the bodies, smiling and covered in blood. As the figure turned around Tess screamed. Tess ran back the way she came, looking back to see that the village elder was falling
