Chapter 1 of my dragon story. Watch me for more! ^.=.^

A peaceful spring day, nothing could go amiss, thought Celadon, soaring through the skies with the sun on his back. His kin, Lilica, was gliding alongside him, her lilac scales after which she was named shined with the sun, like small amethysts coating her sleek body. She roared "This is great! My first flight outside the forest and hills, and I get to share it with my brother!" Then she dive-bombed towards the ground, bringing her wings close to her body. As she approached the ground, she spread her wings and changed course, yards from the ground. A large splash soaked the land in water as Lilica dived into the water, disappearing from sight. Then, an enormous fountain of boiling water erupted into the sky, violet flame flickering in its depths. Lilica emerged from the water with a grin, her scales tipped with sparkling water droplets. "You gonna join, Cela?" She teased, whipping her tail through the water, making soft waves. Before she knew what was happening, her brother splashed in the water, making the water where he was an ocean green. He pounced on her and dived underwater, gripping her softly by her throat. You may breath he thought aloud, our tribe as the ability to adapt to our environments. You'll be ok, I promise. With a shaky nod, she inhaled the icy cold water, making a small whirlpool that led into her open maw. Lilica tensed as the water filled her lungs, but sighed with relief as she exhaled the used water into the open. That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought I would drown! She thought loudly, taking deep inhalations of the cold water. I believe its best now that we fly back to the tribe, you have your hunting test at sundown, Celadon exclaimed with excitement, for the hunting test was the last assessment you had to complete. They emerged from the water with water trailing behind them, like their scales were crying. As they arrived closer to the camp, they saw a small bonfire that had been abandoned and a deer carcass barren of any flesh. "Travelers? Wolf shamans?" Lilica asked curiously, her rich purple eyes gazing intently at the site. "Not sure myself, we shall tell Zulbaksken, he may know already of this strange activity. Until then, we'd best avoid it." Replied Celadon, flapping his wings faster, wanting to get farther away from the forgotten bonfire. Lilica puffed out a wisp of smoke that trailed behind them, disappearing into the slowly setting sun. A clap of thunder emitted from the distance, ash-colored clouds lightened by a flash of electricity. "Great timing, Thunduras, perfect timing for a storm..." Lilica mumbled, annoyed that she may have to wait another moon to have the opportunity to move on in her training. Celadon sighed, "Well, we'd best land, the storm cloud is moving quite quickly. The rest of the way is in walking distance, and I wouldn't mind letting my wings rest." The two dragons landed softly on the ground, their claws sinking into the grass. The two dragons trudged on leaving claw marks in the soft ground, scales scraping the trees. A branch snapped. "What was that?" Lilica jumped, pupils narrowing. A second later, reinforced nets made of malachite ore fell upon the dragons, trapping them. Celadon roared with pain as one of the pillars dragging the trap down pierced through his wing, blood sliding across the smooth membrane like volcanic glass. Lilica was impaled in the tail, the wriggling whip bleeding and splashing the crimson blood on the trees. A group of humans appeared from behind a massive oak tree, wearing war paint under their bloodshot eyes. One approached Celadon, sliding his sword under his throat, leaving a small scratch, a small trickle of blood sliding down Celadon's throat scales. "Hello, my dear dragon, well met, yes?" The human chuckled menacingly, pushing the sword a little harder on the tender throat. "You have no right to be here, puny mortal. This is our land; no one else is permitted to come here unless special permission is given." Celadon growled, wincing as the blade cut deeper. Lilica and Celadon roared with agony as the pillars ejected long barbs, sinking themselves in the soft flesh. The human that had cut Celadon's throat stalked over to Lilica, looking longingly at her scales. "My oh my, young one, I have scales like that, in a necklace, the plates sharp as elven daggers, longer than one though. Hm, I realized I haven't yet tried them on flesh..." The human pulled out a silver braided necklace, and on the end were three amethyst dragon plates, as long as the sword he was carrying, touching them with the utmost care. Lilica's eyes glazed in fear. "No! Don't you dare touch her!" Celadon thundered, his green eyes shining blue. "Oh, kin of a legendary dragon it seems? I never thought it was possible to have ones mighty power such as K-." Celadon bathed the man in a swirl of flame, as he was walking towards Lilica. The remains of his body were silken ash, so refined someone may mistake it with moon dust. Celadon's muscular body erupted with blue light, breaking the pillar lodged in his wing, healing instantaneously, leaving only a scar on the delicate membrane. He rushed towards Lilica, hoping she was safe.

She was not.

The dragon scale blade was lodged into her heart, piercing it even farther as her heart was still beating. "Cela...I'm...sorry...go without...me...I won't survive this time...", she screamed in pain, "Fight...for...me, brother...I love you...good...lu-" Lilica sighed one last time, and her lilac eyes closed forever gazing into darkness, one single tear sliding down her bloody cheek. Celadon's eyes teared up with disbelief. "No...NO! Lilica this isn't a joke, please wake up...WAKE UP!" Celadon roared with grief, not believing his sister had gone into the void. He bowed his head down to hers, tears rolling out of his eyes as he thought of her last words: "Fight...for...me, brother...". He stopped crying and pointed his head towards the cloudy sky. Then he roared with all his might, "This is not over! I will avenge Lilica's death!" Then Celadon grew dizzy and passed out on the forest floor, as the first raindrop splashed on his snout, and the heavens cried for his loss.
