#1 of THE BAR

The bar is now on Sofurry! Woo (Remix version only)

I awoke to the bright light of the morning spring sunshine, groaning as I turned in bed so the sun was hitting the back of my head.

"SER!" A voice yelled, causing me to yelp and sit up in bed.

"Ah, Darn it Serpentess. It's a Saturday, why'd ya wake me up so early?" I asked the feminine, regal green snake Pokémon in front of me as I rubbed my eyes.

"Ser, Perior!" She replied as she happily coiled around me, nipping at my neck playfully. I never did understand what it meant when she nipped at my neck. I still don't to be honest.

"Hungry? I sure am." I said smiling.

"Rior!" She said added with another nip at my neck, while she uncoiled so I could make some breakfast.

"What? You going to sit there or are you going to come with me?" I asked jokingly. She smiled and shot another quick playful nip as she slithered past me faster than I could react. I laughed as I ran after her, her rub-it-in-your-face smile plastered across her face. "Not today!" I said as I hopped onto the railing and sped down the stairs, landing in the kitchen, a proud smile glued onto my face.

"Ser!" She said with a huff as she sat at the table

"Oh, come on you know you want to laugh!" I said as I tickled her, her pouting face turning into one of held laughter. "Ah, ah, ah! I see it! C'mon! Laugh!" I said smiling, making stupid faces in an attempt to get her to laugh. Eventually my attempts at tickling got the better of her as she failed to stifle a giggle.

"Serrrr!" She said, laughing and almost falling out of the chair.

"Careful! Don't fall! Now I should make some food don't you think?" I said as I walked over to the cupboard, searching for something I felt like making for breakfast. "Ah-ha! Do pancakes sound good to you?" I asked, pulling the box of pancake mix out of the cupboard.

She nodded happily as I opened the box of pancake mix, slid it across the counter behind me and grabbed a bowl from the sink as I chased the box, sliding as it neared the counter edge. I put my hand in front of the box to tip it, the opening hitting the counters edge, the contents spilling out into the bowl.

When the box was empty I picked it up and tossed it behind me, rushing to the open gallon of water I had placed on the table earlier. I grabbed the water and poured some into the bowl in my hand as I slid over to the drawer where I kept my mixer thing. I forgot what it was called. The box hitting the garbage as I started stirring the pancake mix (Water added)

"Pancakes..." I said, as if the word was foreign to me.

I nearly jumped out of my seat as my telephone rang. I glanced at the clock. Only seven, who the hell is calling me at seven in the morning? I wondered as I stood up, and answered the phone.

"hello?" I asked

"Devon! The boss needs to see you NOW!" The voice over the phone, my co-worker Josh, said urgently.

"Okay? I'll be there in a few." I said as I hung up the phone darting to my room to get changed.

I ran out the front door, telling Serpentess that something came up and I'd be back soon.

I was in my bosses office out of breath.

"Devon, go to this location on Monday at 3:00PM sharp. I'll pretend I fired you; I'll meet you there got it? NOW GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!" he yelled as he handed me a piece of paper.

Confused and unsure what the hell was going on I stuffed the paper in my pocket, stumbling over furniture as I walked out the room quickly, making it seem like I was actually getting fired.

I opened the door and bolted back to my house, scaring the living hell out of Serpentess as I threw the front door open.

"Hey Serpentess...I uh I think I got fired." I said casually. She started saying a bunch of stuff and I shrugged her off and sat down on the couch. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine OK? I got everything under control...mostly." I said.

Monday came and I met my boss, the round pudgy bald man that he is at the location he told me.

"Devon. There you are. Quick question. Do you believe in the bar?" He asked

"Excuse me?"

"The bar.A Pokephillies dream come true duh." He retorted

"Uh...yeah?" I said suspiciously, cautious in case I say something stupid and he turns me in and I get arrested for Pokephillia which would suck major ass. Can't let the world know that I'm a Pokephilie can I? No I can't so don't say I can.

"Good that saves time. Are you interested?" He asked again

"Huh?" He sighed a loud sigh and facepalmed

"Are.You.A Pokephilie?" He asked in a whisper.

"No." I lied

"You sure? I'd totally bang a few Pokémon here and there." He said, and my mouth dropped. He's good. I tried to speak but only gibberish came out of my mouth, eliciting a hearty laugh from my bald boss.

"Well if you ARE interested here's the coordinates. Oh yeah your password is your own. See ya." He said as a Gardevoir appeared, causing me to yelp and take a few steps back.

"Damn! That scared the hell out of me!" I said. They both laughed before vanishing. "That was weird as FUCK." I said as I looked at the paper he had stuck in my hand before the Pokémon scared me half to death. There was one really long website address on one side and a picture of one big smiley face on the other.

"Okay...Like THAT'S normal....NOT." I said to myself as I folded the paper, stuck it in my coat pocket and walked home.

"Hey serpentess! How's today going for ya?" I asked casually as I walked inside the living room.

"Ser..." She replied, making a gesture with her tail as if to say so-so.

"Aww. We should go do something like say ohh, I don't know...maybe go to that Garden Emporium thingamajig that you wanted to go too last week?" I said as I sat beside her on the couch, my arm around her neck.

She nodded vigorously and I stood up again, clapping my hands together once.

"Well then go get ready! I'll meet you in the car!" I said as I walked into the kitchen. I grabbed the railing to the stairs when suddenly a green blur darted past me. I smiled as I heard a door close up stairs.

Someone's excited I thought as I slowly walked up stairs. I walked into my room and stopped.

"Why am I upstairs?" I asked myself as I turned around and went back downstairs. I thought I could hear a door creak open but I shrugged it off as me hearing things after a few moments, and Serpentess didn't come down. I opened the front door and clicked the button on my keys, my car beeping in response.
