Chapter 11. For Friendship, For Love...

Everything went all hustle and bustle after that. Leurs were carrying wood, rebulding walls and roofs everywhere that I could see.

"That man really caused some damage..." I mumbled to my self when I saw everyone working so hard.

I was sitting on a bench near Mosukes house, I was of course feeling a little tired after that showdown.

"How are you feeling...?" I suddenly heared Blaines voice from behind me.

I turned around on the bench and smiled to him.

"I'm fine..." I said plainly and sighed.

"I wish that I could do more to help though..."

Blaine chuckled and lowered the pile of wood he was carrying on the ground before sitting next to me.

"I think you've had enough action for today. You just rest up..." He said and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Pwah! Look who's talking, I mean you just-"

I suddenly stopped as I realized what I was saying. I quieted down and looked at the ground.

Blaine tilted his head and moved in closer.

"What's wrong...?" He asked, sounding a little worried.

I turned my to look away and lowered my head.

"I'm... I'm sorry about... You know, the earlier, Blaine..." I said quietly.

"What? You're still worrying about that...? Hey listen... It is allright, there was nothing you could do about it then..." He said and wrapped his arms around me.

I just sighed and nodded slightly.

"I guess you're right..."

After that, a small silence fell upon us. All that could be heared was the wind and the other leurs working around.

"Blaine..." I said suddenly.

"Yes? What is it?"

"May... May I ask you something...?" I said quietly while turning to look into his eyes.

"You can ask me anything, Michael, you know that." He anwsered and smiled.

"Well... Earlier... When I was under the control of the shadow, it-.... It showed me something... Did you- Did you really hurt that other Leur...?"

Blaine just winced at the question and turned to look away.

"Yes, it's true... That's why I got banished in the first place... Or rather-"

"Rather...?"

Blaine closed his eyes and sighed.

"I guess I'll have to tell you the whole story then..." He said and looked up to the sky.

"Well, it all took place many years ago... Ever since I was just a small Leur cub I had allways been together with this other Leur, Kain was his name. I guess you could say that he was my best friend at the time. We always wandered aroudn together, going on 'adventures' and such, and as time passed by, our friendship grew closer and nothing could really take us apart... Except, for that fateful day...

I noticed that Kain had begun to seem absent, for some reason, he wasn't what he used to be. He'd wander off alone in strange times, and sometimes he didn't tell me where he was. He was also a little more aggressive than before.

It was his birthday that day, and I decided to surprise him. I got him a sword from the smith, he had talked about always wanting one, so I tought that'd be a good gift.

But then, when I was about to give the gift to him at the edge of the cliff, he suddenly turned to look at me, and said: 'You've been enough trouble for me already, Leur... You have to be disposed of...'

He suddenly started attacking me, and no matter what I said to him, he didn't listen. He ran straight at me, and I lifted the sword up, it was a reflex I had developed during my training. And then..."

Blaine closed his eyes and turned to look away. I could see a glimpse of a tear in the corner of his eye.

'Blaine must have cared for him really much.' I tought and placed my hand on his shoulder.

He took a deep breath before continuing.

"I just stood there then. I couldn't say anything, or losen my grip on the sword. He held his arms around me and pulled his head closer to my ear... And then, he whispered...

'Thank you, Blaine...'

Those were his final words, before he collapsed on the ground.

I could never forgive my self for what I did, nor did I understand those words. I got my self banished from the tribe, so that I would repent what I had done... It was only later, after that I had met you that everything made sense... He never wanted to hurt me, and of course, I didn't want to hurt him either. I can never undo what is done, and I think that it was about time for me to forgive my self."

Blaine's story kept playing in my head like a short movie and I couldn't stop thinking about such a sad tale.

I just stared ahead with a blank face, as Blaine stood up, lifting the pile of wood back on his shoulder.

"I better get back to work..." He said and walked ahead.

"Uh- Balaine wait!" I said and stood up.

"Yes?" He said and turned around.

"I... Um... Thank you." I said and smiled.

"I feel a little better now."

Blaine just nodded and smiled.

"It's my pleasure." He anwsered before walking off to help the others with the work.

I stood there still thinking about Blaine's tale.

"Birthday..." I mumbled and suddenly remembered something.

Just how much time had passed here? Surely enough, it had been my 18th birthday already.

I smiled at the tought. It didn't matter anymore, there's so much more things to think about at the moment. I took my flute in my hand and looked at the silvery surface. I tightenet my grip on it and rose my head with a slight smile on my face.

"Hold on Blaine, I'm going to help you guys out! Let's get that adrenaline pumping!"

Before long, it was already sunset, and nearly all of the Leurs had stopped working. It was almost time for the meeting and Blaine and I were walking towards the chief's house.

"I wonder if everything will work out. I mean, if there's anything we can do." I said and looked at Blaine.

He didn't say anything at first, but turned to look at me and smiled.

"I'm sure it'll be fine..." He said calmly.

I smiled and nodded in response.

As we walked in to Mosuke's house it was already full of Leurs. I sighed slightly and turned to look at the floor.

"Still, I wonder what ever happened to that Raynald-"

I couldn't finish my sentance when I saw him there, in the middle of the bulding, next to Mosuke, talking to him.

"Eh!? What's he doing here!?" I exlaimed and everyone turned to look at me.

I quikly quieted down in embarassment as Raynald walked a few steps closer to me.

"Sorry to surprise you like this. I'll explain everything in time..." He said while mosuke nodded to me assuringly.

Blaine and I walked to the circle of Leurs. Everyone seemed to be waiting for an anwser to this problem anxiously. Finally, Mosuke raised his hand as a sign for everyone to quiet down.

"Fellow Leurs... The current probelm in our hands is indeed very serious, but do not think that there's no hope. As this man right here next to me, has a solution to all of this. We discussed this matter carefully and I agreed to his suggestion, I'll let him explain the rest..."

Raynald stepped forward and nodded slightly.

"First, I would like to tell you, that words can not describe how sorry I am for causing all this damage to your city... I was not in controll of my self at the time, and I assure you, that I am no enemy. This be a message to you all, of how serious this matter is, for even I, the former apprentice of the great wizard, wasn't match for the power of the shadows.

Still, like your leader already said, I indeed have a solution to all of this. We have devised a plan to get rid of the shadows once and for all."

A Leur suddenly stepped forward from the circle, interrupting Raynald.

"But why should we trust you? A human? How do we know that you are not lying?"

Raynald lowered his head, his expression didn't change.

"What other choise do you have?" He said plainly and rose his head again.

"I only wish for the well-being of my king and the people. The king wasn't always like this, and I wish to rid him of the shadows."

This time I stepped forward.

"Tell me Raynald, why did you then take us to the king, even if you knew that he was going to throw us in the dungeons?"

My question made Raynald smile a little.

"If I hadn't shown you what was going on, had you known how dire the situation was? And who do you think made sure that there were no guards around when you two escaped the dungeons that night?"

It all suddenly made so much more sense than before.

"I see... So it was you." I muttered and backed away.

Raynald nodded again.

"Yes, and it was just after that that one of those shadows got ahold of my mind. But anyway, back to our current problem. The plan we made is rather simple: We're going to gather all of those, who have the power to perform the ritual wich will force all of the shadows to gather to a single spot. After that, we're going to force them to return to their original world, and stop them from ever returning. This plan also includes you two." He said and pointed at me and Blaine.

"Strong bonds make the shadows weaker, that's why we need you two there. Plus, you're going to help by keeping the shadows busy while we perform the ritual.

And besides, as a skilled minstrel, you'll be of much help.. Michael."

I flinched a little, but nodded in agreement.

'How did he know my name...?'

"That's everything you need to know. This plan will be carried out tomorrow! Untill then, let's all hope for the best!" Mosuke exclaimed and signed everyone that the meeting is over.

Blaine and I were just about to turn around and return to Blaine's house, when Raynald suddenly grabbed my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Michael. May I talk to you for a minute..." He said with a scary serious tone in his voice.

"Sure... Uh, Blaine, you can go on ahead, I'll be right after you." I said to Blaine who just nodded and left.

After everyone had left the room, Raynald listened around once more to make sure that no one else was there.

"Listen, Michael... First, I have to say that I'm sorry. It's my fault in the firstplace that the shadows found out about your prophecy." He said still holding his hand on my shoulder.

"How? Why did- huh?" I studdered and rubbed my head in confuzion.

"You see... My former master and I, Rildel-"

"You're Rildels former apprentice!?" I exclaimed and Raynald rose his finger as a sign for me to listen.

"Oh, sorry..." I said and let him continue.

"We have this mental connection, we make the exact same prophecies at the same time, so that's why the shadows found out about you being in this world..."

"I see..." I said quietly.

"But there was nothing you could do to prevent that either."

Raynald turned around and lowered his head again.

"But that's not the only thing I wished to talk to you about..."

I suddenly got a really bad feeling, but I didn't say anything.

"You see, Michael... Every world, and every object and being in those worlds posess their own kind of aura... You actually could compair it to DNA wich you know in your world. This is what the ritual to seal the shadows is based on. It sends the target with the aura of a different world back to it's original world, corrupting the portal at the same time."

"And... What does this have to do with me...?" I asked.

"Even though the ritual is targeted on the shadows, the magnitude of the spell will most likely affect the whole continent of Esperia..."

"And...?"

I refused to believe it in my head, it simply couldn't be true. I was just wating for Raynald to say the words "You don't have to worry" but that wasn't the case.

"After the ritual... You'll be most likely sent back to your own world too... Wether you can return or not, that depends entirely on you, as for the portal you used to get here, will be destroyed..."

My eyes began to water. That could mean that I might never be able to see Blaine again. Ever.

"I... I will still do it..." I said with a wobbly voice.

"Because I know it's something that has to be done..."

Raynald sighed and placed his hand on my shoulder again.

"Please, Michael. Be brave, and what ever you do, do not tell Blaine about this, because I know that he will refuse to help if he knows about it..."

"I know... Please, I... I just have to be alone for a while." I said and turned around and left the building.

The pale moon was shining in the sky and the stars were flickering all around. I still refused to believe it in my mind, even though I knew it was all so true. What was I supposed to do? All these questions ran trough my head as I entered Blaine's home

I threw all my clothes on the bed and sat down on the edge. I buried my face in my hands and started crying quietly.

"Michael...?" I suddenly heared Blaine's voice from ahead. I rose my head up a little and saw him. He had most likely taken a bath, because he didn't have any clothes on. He was holding up a towel-like cloth around his waist as he walked towards me. He didn't say anything when he sat beside me. He just looked at me as I sobbed there.

I suddenly stopped crying when he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him. His embrace felt more comforting than it had ever felt before when I pressed my head against his shoulder gently.

"You feel... Warm..." I whispered.

We both slowly pulled back from the ebrace and looked at eachother. Then, Blaine suddenly pulled in and kissed me. Nothing like the kiss before, but a long, passionate, wet kiss. I wrapped my arms around his back, feeling his well toned back muscles with my fingertips.

I gasped as we broke the kiss when he suddenly pushed me on my back and gently but firmly pressed me against the bed with his hands.

The cloth around his waist slowly slid down on the floor when he leyed above me, leaving his body fully exposed.

We just stared at eachother, both breathing heavily without saying anything. I slowly lifted my hand after hesitating a little and gently stroked Blaines chest muscles and abs making him rise his head and growl slightly.

I had always tought that Blaine was sexy, no doupt about it. But it was now that I fully realized how beautiful and well toned his body truly was... And how much I had always wanted to fully experience it.

I put my arms around his neck and pulled him in for another kiss. I felt him losen his grip on me when he suddenly rubbed his groin against my boxer shorts. I let out a slight moan trough the kiss because of the sensation that made my whole body shiver slightly.

As Blaine pulled back from the long kiss, he smirked slightly and moved downward. When he reached my boxer shorts, he gently pulled them down below my knees and turned to look into my eyes. I nodded slightly before he pulled them all the way down and threw them on the floor. He slowly slid back up to the level of my face and rubbed his muzzle against my body teasingly on the way, making my back arc sligtly.

"Bh- Blaine...!" Was all I could studder and huff before he silenced me with yet another kiss.

He took my hand in his and held it tightly when our groins were grinding against eachother. I felt how small drops of pre allready dripped on my body below my belly and could feel that it was decreasing the friction, little by little.

Blaine seemed to get more aroused by the minute and it made him growl and groan trough the kiss.

He suddenly broke the kiss and lifted me up, pressing me agains the wall above the bed this time.

He stared at me with a glimmer of lust in his deep blue eyes, his breath, heavy and heated up. I felt a cool drop of sweat roll down on my face when Blaine suddenly pulled in next to my ear.

"Michael... Will you be mine...?" He said with a deep and lustful tone that I had never heared him use before.

My voice was a little shaky and I sounded a little out of breath.

"I'm.. I'm your's, Blaine..." I whispered and closed my eyes when he kissed my neck.

As I pressed my back agains the wall, Blaine lifted my legs up onto his shoulders. My muscles immediately stiffened up, and Blaine noticed this.

"Just relax..." He said gently and kissed me, letting his tongue slip inside my mouth once again.

I sank into the sensation and it made my muscles relax a little. Blaine positioned him self properly and looked at me once more.

"Are you ready...?" He asked and I nodded slightly, biting my lower lip.

I grit my teeth as he pushed in the first few inches.

"Keep going..." I said as Blaine kept slowly inserting him self inside me. When he was finally all the way in, I sighed in releaf.

Then, he slowly pulled it back out, and slammed it back in. I cryed out, but Blaine once again silenced me with a kiss. It did the trick once again and made me relax.

"I promise I'll make it so that you'll enjoy this... Don't worry." He said after we broke the kiss. I nodded once more and sighed.

The pain did go away soon, as Blaine had promised. We were both so absorbed in the moment and that sensation. We both had entirely forgotten everything else around us, there was just him, my self, and our love.

"M- Michael, I can't hold on for... Going to-" Blaine studdered and grit his teeth. I also felt my own climax nearing, and almost cryed out when Blaine suddenly roared and released his seed inside me. Some of mine sprayed on Blaines fur and most of it on my belly.

We both froze up for a second before slowly sliding down back on the bed. I nuzzled up closer to Blaine who wrapped his strong arms around me.

"I love you..." I said quietly and closed my eyes.

"I love you too, Michael... Lets make a promise that nothing's ever going to take us apart..." He said in responce.

I nodded, but hid my face from him, when a tear formed in the corner of my eye.

"I promise..." I said quietly before falling to a deep sleep.
