#1 of Average Furs, Not So Average Life

A story of furries going through there not so basic lives.

Our story begins in the suburbs where Comet a young female reindeer has just begun to awaken to the morning light and the sound of her little fox cub crying in his crib.

"I'm coming Tommy i'm coming."

As we all know Comet is a member of Santas sleigh team but when she's not working the christmas run she spends her time as an accountant along with her husband Tamati a nine-tailed fox. He was a hard working man, worked at an office in the city and as a bouncer for a side job. The morning for him started out the same as always as he used his nine tails to help his wife with the baby and get breakfast started.

"Look who's here!"

"Hey little buddy!"

" *baby giggles* da da."

Tamati greeted his son with a quick nose rub and a lift into the air making him laugh before handing him back to Comet, the couple said their goodbyes and went to their jobs for the day. Later in the afternoon Tamati took an early leave after finishing some reports, he called Comet and told her that he was gonna stop by the pier to pick up some fish for dinner.

As he parked his car he made a quick change into a white shirt and jeans and headed straight down the docks hearing the market vendors call out to customers.

"FRESH TUNA!!"

"Lobster here! as red as a strawberry!"

Each market stall was tempting but Comet stated that she wanted some fresh mackerel which seemed hard to find in the crowd that he was in until he came across a tiger with what looked like a birthmark in the shape of a dragon.

"Excuse me? do you have any mackerel?"

"just caught it-AH!"

The fish was still as fiesty as when it was pulled out of the water leaving the tiger to pound it with a stick until it stopped flopping about.

"sorry about that. Name's Zeng."

"Tamati. so you work here?"

"Just started last week."

A quick handshake and the two parted ways. At the dinner table Comet had just finished her dinner while Tamati used two of his tails to help feed Tommy until his plate was cleared, while down at a beach house near the docks Zeng had just taken a shower and went to take a load off on the couch while eating some late night cereal but not before hearing his phone ring.

"Hello? Mom!....you're coming to visit? right i'll have the place cleaned before you get here...love you to. see ya next week!"

As he hung the phone Zeng gave a nervous grin as he looked around his room which was a complete dump trying to think of a way to clean the place out knowing he had to bring in another huge load of fish tomorrow.

The End.
