A story about Pacha's first date with her special someone.

I'm aware that this story may have crappy structure, punctuation and grammar, but bear with me, as I am still practicing my Writing skills. I wrote this from heart, as it pertains to someone I love deeply, and whom loves be back even more. I hope you enjoy!

A date. That's what had been set for the day, as Pacha looked over herself in the Mirror after stepping out of the shower, skin still glistening as the left over water trailed down her body and dripped onto the Bathroom floor beneath her feet. Taking the towel from the towel rack, she dried her body with the black cloth and made extra sure to make the skin like scales on her body extra shiny as she then dried her feet, arms and shoulders, as well as her belly before moving onto her face.

"Are you sure you're ready?" A voice asked, Pacha looking to her Shellder friend whom sat atop the small side table in the bathroom, whom Pacha then started to buff and shine with a grin. "Of course I'm ready! We've been planning this for weeks since me and her started seeing eachother - You know that!" She said, wiping the light Gray surface and adding a bit of shine to the horns with a small amount of the special lotion that Pacha had bought the day before, along with the other Items she had purchased for this special day.

After exiting the Bathroom, Pacha would then wiggle her tail in excitement as she spotted the small White cufflinks and wraps along her dresser drawer in her bedroom, snapping them around her wrists and taking the matching bow from the mirror above her dresser, sliding it around her neck, above her frill, and securing it with a grin as she held her Shellder friend up to have a look, him giving an approving grunt. "You look sharp!" He said, pacha smiling as she placed him atop her head, feeling her friend secure himself atop her cranium, with a giggle. "Thanks, Paht. You have a nice nap." As the Shellder dozed off, Pacha spotted the last preparation for the day - A small black box, rectangular in shape, which Pacha quickly looked into with a grin before closing it. All was ready as the Slowking made her way out the door to the Cities border.

Diyae waited in the trees, sitting atop the branch of an old Pine as her tail coiled around her sitting spot, anxiously awaiting their meeting. 'Where is she, I wonder...' She thought to herself as Pacha quickly made her way down the road, finally reaching the edge of the forest with a smile along her muzzle. Sitting down along a small metal bench along the edge of the trail, she looked around for a moment before sighing happily and awaiting her date. Diyae admired how she looked, smiling a bit. 'Well, doesn't she look pretty," She thought. After a moment, her smile widened to that of the iconic, tricksy Haunter grin of hers as she disappeared suddenly from her branch, an idea having sparked her fancy.

"Hmm.. Where is she? Could she be running a little late?" Pacha though out loud as the looming Purple cloud now appeared behind her, the grin never leaving her face as her hands now became visible, the Mew/Haunter hybrid tapping Pacha lightly on the shoulder before disappearing as Pacha looked to the side to see whom had attracted her attention. "Huh?" Seeing nobody, she felt yet another tap on her other shoulder, then swerving around and standing to her feet as she looked behind the bench, hands along the top of the back of the steel sitting area as she looked around. "What the... Who the heck?" She mumbled before sighing and, as she turned around once more, she jumped and let out a small Growl of a yelp in fright as Diyae appeared behind her with a "Hello!"

After having tumbled back into the bench and nearly falling over, Pacha inhaled and exhaled quickly with a small laugh as she looked up to Diyae, whom floated in the air in front of her. "Jeez, Diyae, you scared me!" She then stood to her feet once again, Diyae having laughed a good deal as she hovered in front of the Slowking friend of hers, Pacha reaching out and allowing the Mew to draw close in a hug. "Ah, all in good fun though, of course, hehe!"

Pacha looked her over and was stricken, smiling wide as she admired how the Mew looked. Nothing overly fancy about her, but Pacha thought she looked pretty as she was, and would have been happy with how Diyae looked either way. 'Pretty...' She thought as she straightened herself up and stood upright and held out a clawed hand. "Well then, shall we go?" She asked, Diyae nodding and taking Pacha's hand in her own, which now appeared and took the open hand to grasp it, answering with a nod.

Taking the first moments of the date to wander through the forest, Diyae and Pacha strolled through the area with bits of small talk here and there to keep up the spirit of the occasion, however it seemed as though both of them could carry on with their walk without too much conversation, what with the closeness of the two being enough to let one another know that they were enjoying every bit of the day. As they drew close to the city and its entrance, the two decided to stroll through the less traveled area of the town, looking around as shops which sold fine pottery, jewelry and other such goods advertised from kiosks outside the shops and their front windows - one of which a Flower shop, whom showed the various flowers from around the region, as well as others from the towns bordering Veilstone. Roses were the ones that drew Diyae in, Pacha watching as the Mew smiled happily as she looked them over and sniffed them some before moving onto the other flowers.

"You like 'em?" A voice asked, drawing Pacha's attention to the shopkeeper, a large male Horse anthro whom smiled down at her. "The Roses, I mean. You and your ladyfriend like 'em? I grew 'em myself." He said, Pacha nodding and looking up at the Horse with a smile. "Oh yes, Me and her love Roses, although she seems to love them more than I..." Pacha smiled happily as she watched Diyae examine the other flowers, the Shopkeeper leaning down as he plucked the largest Rose from the bouquete and handed it to Pacha. "Here," He said as she looked back to him, then to the Rose, with a questioning expression on her face. "Give it to your ladyfriend. I'm sure she'll love it. It's on me, so no need to pay." Pacha smiled wide as she took the flower and nodded happily. "Thank you very much, sir!" She said as she held the Rose behind her back and continued on, Diyae following beside her.

* * * * Making their way down the street towards the Resturaunt areas of the City, Diyae and Pacha sat down along an overpass bridge above a small stream that carved its way through the small district of the down towards the Lake. Having hidden the Rose until then, Pacha smiled as she looked to the sky for a moment, admiring the sight of pink and blue mixing as the Afternoon slowly turned to the Evening. "Such a pretty sky..." She said as she then looked to Diyae, whom had been staring at her for a while before turning her glance away as Pacha looked to her, smirking some. "You see something you like?" She asked, Diyae blushing and looking away as she spoke. "Maybe..." As Diyae spoke in her shy, embarrassed tone, Pacha drew out the flower from beside her and handed it silently to Diyae, whom looked at it for a moment in silence as well before smiling and blushing even more as she took it, although she wasn't the only one whom was blushing at that moment.

"The flower guy gave it to me for free, so I could give it to you..." Pacha said as she looked to Diyae with a solid expression, however it was also soft, noticing Diyae was avoiding her gaze.

"I wonder why he would do that..."

Pacha then took Diyae's hand, sensing it was holding the flower and taking the hand in her own as it appeared, looking at her with a smile then as she spoke simply:

"He could see how much I love you, and wanted me to be able to show it."

At that moment, Diyae looked up to Pacha with a surprised look. Love? Was that what this feeling was that had been building in her? Diyae hadn't known love for a long time, perhaps never. It never seemed to come to her, and it was a scary thing to feel, and yet at the same time, as she looked to Pacha, she could feel a sensation of Overjoy in her heart. Her gut filled with butterflies as pacha gave her a soft, true smile, her hand still holding Diyaes as she looked to the ground. "Love..? You... Love me?" She questioned, as if she didn't quite believe Pacha, and indeed she didn't... for the least part. She wanted to believe - oh how badly she wanted it to be true, this love that Pacha claimed, for she thought she loved Pacha, too. It was confirmed as the Slowking hybrid nodded and spoke again.

"Yes... I love you."

That was all that was needed to make Diyae melt, all actions pausing for a moment as the information was taken in slowly and gradually, before Diyae slid closer to Pacha and seemed to lean against her. Pacha smiled and wrapped an arm around her gently, hugging her some as she also handed the Mew the rectangular box she had been saving for this moment. "This is also for you, by the way..." As Diyae took it in her hands, she looked up to Pacha for a moment in question, whom simply grinned and awaited the reaction on Diyae's face. As she opened it, she gasped, taking out the Silver and Obsidion gemstone locket, opening it to reveal the two of them in the somewhat large heart shaped container. Taking it then, she would place it around her neck and snuggle close to Pacha again, whispering a "Thank you..." to her as Pacha put her arm around the Mew once more.

In another fit of thought, Diyae then looked up and, turning Pachas head, she would kiss her gently on the muzzle before whispering once again in a soft, kind voice:

"I love you too."
