New Years Eve
Just something i wrote when i got bored
Music was playing, people were dancing and the sky was getting dark.
New Year's Eve was always an exciting time, it felt like everyone got together and had fun and looked forwards to a better year.
Michael loved New Year's Eve, it was a night when he could relax and have fun and not worry about day to day things.
Michael prided himself on being the kind of fox others liked to be around because he was fun and outgoing, and for the most part that was the case.
He wouldn't have called himself popular but he wasn't unpopular.
However this New Year's Eve Michael wasn't feeling as outgoing as usual.
Over the year he had really gotten to know a girl called Zoe, he liked her a lot and wanted to ask her out but was always nervous about it.
Michael didn't have a lot of experience with women and he was always lost for words when it came down to asking them out.
Sometimes it really just frustrated him, why couldn't he just say a few simple words?
Michael looked across the room and saw Zoe standing with some people he didn't know.
It was nearly New Year's Day and he wanted to ask her out at midnight because that was the kind of romantic stuff you see in films but he was getting extremely anxious.
He walked over to where Zoe was standing and joined in their conversation.
It turned out they were talking about what their new year's resolutions were going to be, it varied from working harder to learning to juggle.
It was almost midnight; Michael asked Zoe if he could to her.
Michael tried to explain his feeling to her but he got the words muddled up and just confused himself.
As the clock struck twelve Michael panicked, he decided to take a risk and show how he felt without using words.
As people all around him shouted Happy New Year Michael kissed Zoe and hoped for a better, brighter new year.
