Writers Block
#1 of Writings
I like to write and this is one I did a while back.. I know its not exactly furry... sue me
Manic sat alone at his computer, clacking away as he wrote down a story he had been dying to finish. His online fans had been waiting a long time for the newest installment of his book series to be finished
But something was wrong. He just couldn't bring himself to put an end to the series he had slaved for years over
The two characters were coming to the final love scene, or a final death. He couldn't decide. "Just one more chapter" he muttered with an almost sad tone, "Then its over"
Again he clacked away at the keys for a few hours, finding it hard to come up with the right words to sum up an ending
They embraced each other one last time as she stood in front of the gateway to the other world "So this is really goodbye?" she asked with tears welling up in her eyes
"I'm sorry.." he muttered with a pause "But I have to go back to where I come from, were I'm needed"
He left the embrace of her arms and stood in front of the gateway "This is our final goodbye le-"
He is cut off by Stella embracing him in her arms once more, passionately kissing him. The moment felt like it had lasted an eternity as he grips her once more and holds her close. The embrace was broken by the figure grabbing the back of Aiden's jumper "Hurry up!" he screamed as he pulled Aiden back into the gateway. It instantly closed as they did.
Stella we left standing alone as the gateway disappeared, tears streaming down her face, she's all alone
"I'll..... I'll wait for you"
She said standing by the area where the gate once was "I'll wait for you until the day I die"
Once again Manic held his head in his hands and moved away from the computer "This ending isn't good enough"
He said as he slammed his head down onto the keyboard. His Skype opened up onto his screen with a message from his friend "Hey, how's the ending coming along?"
He stared silently for a moment and replied "Almost there... I don't know how to end this off... there's too many ways to do this... death... love... loss... there's so many"
"Well... Just go with whatever one you think is the best" the reply read
Again he sat silently staring at the screen. Stella stood to his right and Aiden to his left
"Are you really going to separate us?" she asked him almost crying
"Are you trying to kill us?" Aiden asked with a more serious tone
Manic sat there once more staring at his computer. "I don't know what to do with you guys" he said looking over his shoulder, just to be greeted with nothing. He was sitting alone
"You guys are never any help" he muttered to himself as he placed his hand on the computer screen
He gets up off his chair and walks to the front door, trying to get some air. As he opened the door Stella was sitting on the porch staring at the sky, Aiden was standing beside her, smoking a cigarette.
"Will you two ever leave me alone!?" he shouted slamming the door across on them
Again while he sat at his computer he tried to finish the story, bringing in a new idea.
She stands along side him at the gate, the man in the suit waiting for them "come on Aiden, were needed back home"
Aiden held onto Stella's hand tightly and he says "I'm not going without Stella..."
"You know you can't bring her with you! It's against the laws of the plains of reality. You shouldn't have even been here! All this pain and trouble is all your fault!"
Aiden fell silent once more, Stella holding tightly onto his arm "Please don't leave me..." she said to him in tears
Aiden took his time and stood up straight "You can take my body... That's what doesn't belong here! Just switch me with something... I can't leave here"
The man stands silently watching them "Fine...... But it has to be something that is either willing to switch or is already dead"
After painstaking hours of looking and planning they eventually resorted to switching Aiden's mind with that of a deceased cat they had found.
"It's better than nothing" Stella says almost crying
As they held it up to the man he took it from her hands and looked at it "This will do" he said smiling. He then turned away from them and walked towards the gate
"Wha!? Wait! What about changing me!?"
The man smiles back at them "I never said I had to switch your body, I just needed something willing to take your place or that is already dead"
He gives them a thumbs up and smiles "You two be safe out there. I know how dangerous things can be for you"
Within seconds he had gone into the gateway and it had vanished
Stella stands there holding Aiden in her embrace "We.... We won?"
Aiden walks off slightly looking at where the gate was and smiles in disbelief "We.... We can be together?!" he says in shock with a large grin on his face
Manic once again leans back in his chair with a large grin across his face "This seems like the best ending to me"
As he takes out a cigarette and lights it Stella walks up beside him along with Aiden,. Holding him in her arms "Thank you..." she said as the two of them slowly disappeared from his vision
He smiles again and looks down at a framed photo of the two characters. "Rest in peace" is written across the frames. He smiles slightly and closes down the computer "I hope i made you guys proud"
