The day was old, the sun was setting on the horrizon as i walked along the sandy shore with Luke. He was tall, however i was taller, but he came close. I took his paw in mine as the cool afternoon ocean air ruffled his bright blue fur. This made it look soft and warm, just as it really was; his green belly was visible throuh his short sleve red hawian floral shirt that he had unbuttoned all the way. His cacky cargo shorts matched the sand in the setting sun. I thought to myself just how beautiful he was. I took in a deep breath of the salty air, it was refreshing and calming as we walked to the edge of the water. The waves laped at the coastline as the sand soaked it up, and that was where we stopped. I let go of his paw just for a moment to set up the foldible chairs i had been carrying under my arm, they were made of bamboo and hand woven cloth, sturdey and comfortable. Luke sat the cooler beside his chair and came up behind me as i stood up dusting off the sand from my lime green pawpads and hugged me from behind. He slid a paw up the black tank-top that i was wearing to rub my chest that was a greyish blue color that complemented my grey wolf fur. He traced the lime green cresent moon pattern on the lower left side of my belly, giggleing as he did so because he had to slip a finger under the elastic of my purple swim trunks to reach the bottom of the symbol. I reached my paws down to hold his as we walked in front of the chairs before he came around in front of me spinning himself still holding my paw. He took a step forward far enough for me to place my right paw on his lower back; we started dancing together in the sand as we always did before sitting to watch the sunset together. We danced a slow dance, looking into each others eyes, not saying a single word as three seaguls flew by, honking in the air, their sound fading as they grew distant. The waves could still be heard making their wooshing shound on the shore as we waltzed in front of the chairs. We finished when i began to get a little bit dizzy. Luke held me close to him, my paws in his as he touched his nose to mine. The sky had turned a light pink, it matched the color of his sparkaling eyes as i looked into them. My heart skipped a beat just knowing that our love was as pure as when the earth was new. We sat down together, the chairs sinking into the powdery sand benieath us. Luke grabbed two drinks from the cooler, opening one and handing it to me, then the other for himself. We drank a bit, holding paws ; I rubbed the top of his with my thumb as a crab clicked by in front of us. I turned my head to the side smiling, looking at him and the way his fur seemed to shine in the light of the setting sun. He turned to me and smiled. Then i spoke, soft and sweetly. "I love you Luke." Tears welled up in his eyes, his smile getting as wide as the length of the grand canyon as he leand over, sharing a kiss with me just as the sun kissed the horrizon and slowly sank further, casting soft shaddows onto the sand, turning it a pale orange color. There we sat, paw in paw, the mmost blissful night of my life.
