CODE OBLIVION: Prolouge: A New Story Begins...

An older wolf was walking into one of the halls of the massive building. He quickly looked around to make sure he was alone. He had managed to short-circuit so he wouldn't be seen on camera. He wasn't supposed to be in this part of the faculty... he would probably get into a lot of trouble if he was found here but he shrugged it off. He knew what he was there for. He had promised the boy he would get him out of here... he wondered if the child even remembered the promise? The man knew very little about the minds shattered by trauma. He looked around and continued to the next hallway. 'I can't believe I'm doing this!' he thought to himself as he looked around 'If I get found I could get killed... but at the same time I can't leave the boy... how can they justify experimenting on a child?' He sighed. 'I can't let him rot here...' He checked out the next hallways and quickly rushed through it and hid behind another wall.

He was a tall wolf about roughly 6'8, He had silver fur and brown eyes and short dark brown hair. He had worked at the faculty for years long before the kid was brought here four years ago... he was about to leave this job with the boy in tow. After several minutes of sneaking around he was a bit surprised that he hadn't ran into any guards but he guessed the boy wasn't exactly high priority at the moment. Finally he reached the door to the room where the boy was kept. It was a solid black and was locked with a powerful looking 'Lock Glyph' by the looks of it the man figured it might be an 'S-Rank' but thankfully he had managed to swipe the key-card of the directors desk before he went on his crusade. Once he put the card in the slot the glyph disappeared and the door unlocked itself and a tiny cell-like room was revealed. A young boy around eight-years-old sat on the bed staring blankly at the opposite wall. He was a wolf with jet-black fur and golden hair frizzy from years of neglect. The boy continued to stare at the wall not even noticing the older man entering his room. There was a small tray of food half-eaten on the table next to his bed. The man stood silently before he worked up the will to speak up.

"Hey son, ready to go?" He asked the boy. The boy turned his head to look blankly towards the man his bright blue eyes empty. As if the boy was nothing more then a living doll. It creeped the older wolf out but he continued. "Do you understand me boy? Nod if you do." The boy nodded and he sighed in relief. Maybe there was hope for the child after-all. "I'm going to get you out of here I promise you that. But I need you to sit still okay? Nod if you understand." The young wolf nodded again empty eyes still focused on the older one's brown. He quickly took out a syringe filled with an acrid green liquid and stuck it in the boys arm. The child gave a startled yelp of pain before falling unconscious. A wave of guilt washed through the wolf's stomach but he shook it off and scooped the boy up into his arms and walked out.

He quickly ran out of the building not caring that he could get caught he had the boy and he needed to get them out of here. Quickly he rushed into the car boy in tow. He gently placed the boy in the back seat and covered him in a blanket. After he made sure the boy was comfortable he quickly got in the drivers seat and drove off. He had made sure to cover his tracks completely. Any and all files connecting to his identity had been erased from the records. He was going to start clean he would give this boy a chance to live a normal life... he had been planning this for several months. He had a place up in Crosstown where he would raise the boy as his own. He was going to try and get the boy started in school.

Eventually he finally reached his destination. It had taken him three days worth of driving without rest to get there but he had finally arrived at the house. The man pulled his car into the small garage and shut the car off. He then turned towards the boy in the back. He hadn't stirred the entire trip which surprised the man he had expected the boy to stir a least once during the trip. He checked the boys pulse and vitals which were stable before he carried the child into the house and laid him on the couch. He then left the boy and went to the his own room and fell asleep exhausted from the events of the last few days. He must have slept for only few hours until he heard a large amount of racket in one of the other rooms. Fearing that he had been found he rushed into the living room and saw the boy awake and looking around in panic. He approached the boy carefully not wanting to scare him.

"You're awake! Are you feeling alright?" He asked the boy. He could see panic in the boys eyes abject terror. "I will not hurt you... do you remember anything of the last few days?" He asked and the boy shook his head. The man was shocked when he heard the boy speak in a very soft voice.

"I don't remember anything? Where am I? Who are you? Who am I?" The boy asked vivid blue eyes staring straight into the older males.

"You're home that's all that matters. I found you out in the woods and I nursed you back to health... I'm..." He thought for a second using his real name wasn't an option so he made one up. "Bryan Littlesea... do you have a name?" He asked. Again the boy shook his head once again.

"Not one I remember..." The boy spoke softly. The man now named Bryan gave the boy a sad look before speaking.

"Do you want me to give you a name?" Bryan asked bending down and patting the child's head softly. The boy just nodded and the man gave a bit of thought... what could he name the boy? Suddenly inspiration struck him and he smiled. "I have a name for you... Kaelan... yes, that is the name I'll give you... my boy... my son..." He said as he embraced the boy. "I will keep you safe I promise you this... I'll swear on my life that I'll keep you safe..."
