Experiment 42187-chapter 3...
"Hey ciph... WHAT THE HELL!!!!" Krystal yelled as she rounded the corner.
"Don't worry Krystal, it's just a side effect of the radiation, although, I always have been a fur at heart."
"Krystal what is the current situation, and how did those agents find out where we were?" Elise butted in.
"Well we had a minor security breach this morning, a small robot got in, but it didn't get out, he he."
After a long conversation and tour of the building we finally settled down. For the next 3 months we trained with the various weaponry that we had at our disposal. Along with that, Elise and I found out, literally quite explosively, that we both had some form of energy control. I could control dark energy while Elise could control electricity. At the end of the fourth month, we had a few interesting visitors to our hideout...
"Black we have a problem; there is an intruder in your sector, quickly closing on your location."
"Roger that Krystal, I'll handle him personally."
"Ok I'll notify security to clear the area." Krystal replied as I heard an explosion from down the hall. Then my door was literally blown away by another blast. When the smoke cleared I was staring down the barrel of a gun, but not any ordinary gun. It was Hades, the gun of the legendary Chronos assassin, Train "Black Cat" Heartnet. Rumor had it that train had left Chronos and was currently working as a sweeper (for those of you who haven't seen the anime or read the manga, a Sweeper is a bounty hunter, and an eraser is an assassin). "Cipher what was that?!"
"Oh nothing important, I'll be busy for the next hour or so, The Black Cat just appeared in my office."
"What!!! I'm calling security to back you up." Krystal yelled and her tone said that she wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Mr. Heartnet, if you wouldn't mind following me to the rooftop. That way we won't be knee deep in security guards."
"Whatever." Train said as I got up and headed for the ladder to the roof. I might mention now that the ladder in my office is the only safe way up to the roof.
When we arrived on the roof I walked to one side, and Train went to the other.
"Okay cipher we can do this the easy and boring way, or the other way."
"Just wondering, train, why are you after me, it can't be just for the bounty, and where are Sven and Eve?"
"To answer the first question, it is because of the people you hurt by causing the radiation leak, and for the second question, behind you." Train said as there was a loud crack from behind me. The roof has literally been blown open and two people climbed out.
One was a man with light green hair in a light grey suit. He had a patch over one eye and carried an attaché case. I knew from reports from various informants that that case contained a multitude of weapons. I also knew his name was Sven Vollfied.
Along with him was Eve, a young girl. Although she appeared unarmed, I knew she could be a major threat. The reason for this is that she was a human bio-weapon. She uses nanomachines (really tiny robots) to transform her body into almost anything. Against these opponents, I would have a challenge on my hands. Fortunately for me I knew Elise was on her way up, and had a full load out of weapons.
"Okay before you guys do anything irrational, I'm going to say I didn't cause the radiation leak, it was caused by an explosive charge. And honestly, do you think I would blow a table through my only protection from the radiation?"
"You have a point, no sane person would do that... but why is the government trying to catch you then?" Eve stated.
"What other reason then to use me as a lab rat to see if I'm the perfect soldier. That was what experiments 42000 to the one that went wrong 42187 were about. A lot of bad things happened in that project, stuff that Chronos would not allow if they had knew about it. I guess the government wanted to shut us down for good."
"Ok, that explains a lot, but how could you have stood by while these events were taking place?"
"Easy, I've had a hard life. When I was 4 the local mafia killed my parents, and then I got the biggest gun I could handle and eliminated the mafia." There was a long silence following this statement, and then Elise climbed out of the hole in the roof.
"Okay can someone please tell me what has happened so far, aside from Cipher telling his childhood story? Oh and hi eve long time no see." Elise said.
"Wait, you two know each other? And how?" Sven asked.
"I saved Elise last time we were here; she was the one that was thrown from the bridge." Eve replied.
"Now I remember, I thought you looked familiar." Train said
"Yes and please we don't mean anyone harm. We are just hiding from the government." Elise pleaded. (Not in a cute voice mind you.)
"Ok, ok, but why haven't you gone public with that though?"
"What would you do if you saw a large black talking anthro fox on TV; I'd say it was a hoax"
"Yeah, I suppose. Well we should be going. Hope to run into you guys again sometime."
"Ok, oh and on your way out, can you give Krystal this, it's so she will actually let you out without a fight." I said as I handed him a note.
"K, see ya later."
"bye." Elise and I said in unison.
Later in Cipher's office...
"Hey Cipher, I'm bored, got any ideas that might liven up this city for a while?" she asked me,
"How about we go take out the mafia, or at least put a dent in their forces" I replied. "I have a score to settle with them."
"Ok, but I think Krystal found us some new guns, lets check it out before we leave."
"Ok." I said as we headed down the stairs.
"Hey Krystal let's see those new weapons you told me about."
"Ok, but I should warn you, they are experimental..."
"Oh come on, if they blow up at least the mafia will be taken down."
"Whatever you say Cipher. " Krystal said as she unlocked the weapons room.
At FBI headquarters...
'Dammit, another cold lead. I think this has to be one of the most annoying cases I have ever done. How hard can it be to find an anthro fox?" My supervisor yelled as I gave him the report on a false lead that I had checked up on. My name is Lance Azura, but everyone calls me Blaze because I am a bit of a pyro. I have been working on the Experiment 42187 case since it became the FBI's business to find Elise and Cipher. I had just checked out a lead that they were being helped by a company called United Delivery, but it was a bad lead or a very well organized operation.
"hey boss, we just got a report on an explosion in the industrial sector, witnesses say they saw a black Daytona Spyder speeding away from the scene."
"Blaze get over there now, we can't let this one go cold."
"Got it Boss." I said, already stepping out the door.

"Hey Blaze, we found out that this building was a base for the reds, and get this, the reds murdered cipher's parents. Oh and this was found taped to that beam over there." One of the police officers who knew me said as I got out of my car.
" Interesting, let me see that letter." I told the officer.
To Mr. Lance Azura, AKA Blaze,
We know you are looking for us, if you want to hear the truth, meet us by the clock tower at the old Richardson manor at 12 pm tonight. COME ALONE, if we notice anyone else from the FBI in the area, we will not hesitate to kill them.
