I hope this is a good read :)

The dark figure watched them, watched the lone prisoners in their rotting cells, wallowing in their self-pity. The figure smiled inwardly, though it had no face in which to smile at the suffering of the ones he watched, but it felt great delight in their suffering. He watched one prisoner in particular, one in which interested him to a point where the figure watched only this lone sufferer. The dark, bodiless, faceless figure approached the interesting one and spoke for the first time in a long, long while. "You suffer?" it asked the curiously strange creature.

The snow leopard looked up lazily from his slouchedposition and grunted. He lolled his head down and slid slowly to the ground, whimpering and sobbing. "Yes!" cried the sufferer. "Yes, I suffer. Do you delight in my pain?"

The faceless figure would have smiled if he had amouth in which to smile with. But it felt a warm, yet, chilling feeling of amusement. "Yes," it said instead, "I delight in your pain. But you've yet to truly suffer."

"How could I possibly suffer more! My wife must have re-married by now, and my child...my dear, unique child. She must be a young woman now, growing up without knowing who her father is..." the snow leopard in the cell trailed off and sobbed once again. "Yes, how can I suffer more?"

More sinister delight tickled the dark, faceless figure. "Watching your family die?"

The leopard in the cell jumped, leaped to his feet and pressed what was left of his body to the metal bars and tried to reach for the figure. "Leave them! Please! Do what you will to me, but leave them be!" he begged, he pleaded, his purple-blue eyes dulled by years of imprisonment now glistened with tears. "Please!?"

The figure just laughed and slowly melted into the backgrounds of the cells. "You stopped the Darkness from devouring the world, and therefore you must suffer for it. Though I doubt mundane imprisonment is sufferable enough. Let us see how your daughter will cope with death at her doorstep."

And then it vanished. As if it had never been...
