And now, chapter 3

July 24, 2320 7:23:51PM Raling Police Department

Patrol hour soon came along. Not only will that table come out of his already cut pay, it's what happened after the table that stayed in his mind. Tivalae was very distant from everyone after the incident in the break room. Everyone looked at him as if he was a fellow prisoner. The look of guilt was clear on his face and there was an air that none of the fresheners in the supply closet could fix; Tivalae had just spent the hour with another male.

Tivalae blushed at recalling the events unfold in his mind. Uric had been becoming more flirtatious without even acknowledging it this whole week and it was putting Tivalae on end. He thought back to the showers and that moment in the locker room...

Monday~~

When Criu left to go wash before patrol, his towel slipped and no one paid him any mind. No one except Tivalae. His eyes grew wide as the leopard looked desperately around to see if anyone was looking. Tivalae turned his head but not before getting a real good look at Criu's rump. It was nice and shapely, proof that the academy did wonders for him. Tivalae couldn't help but blush as he put his face into his locker, the mirror showing his fur a redder tint than earlier. There along the side was a picture of his deceased family, and then he instantly became revolted.

How is this cat making me act this way, he wondered. I had a loving wife and three children, so why after 3 years am I feeling this way for a cat? A male no less.

He slammed the door and instantly yelped, but no one noticed. Tivalae flinched as he looked down and saw that he had slammed his locker door on his swollen shaft. The Doberman instantly fought the locker for his impressive 11 inch rod back and after struggling for 3 minutes, managed to remove himself from the evil locker. Afterwards, he stood back and became even angrier.

And I'm hard too, he furiously mumbled. "Damn it."

"Ouch looked like that was extremely painful. I'm sure glad I'm not you." A voice said tauntingly.

Tivalae shifted his head and glared back into two drops of ocean blue. It was Criu and he saw everything, unknowingly to Tivalae.

I just hope he didn't see me staring at him, Tivalae begged. How would he explain it to the cat if he asked?

He was standing, dripping wet, with a towel over his middle and another towel that he was using to dry himself. He had his back to his own locker and carefully brushed every last drop out of that pure snowy fur of his.

"Oh hey Criu. How's the patrols been for you rookie?"

He gave Tivalae a sideways glance. Does he really have to beat around the bush? I saw him staring at me. I'm just glad I was actually able to take my shower today.

"It's been okay I guess. Still can't get a grip of the wheel when I try driving up the Falls towards the station. I can't see why there hasn't been so many accidents there considering. Will you be going on patrol soon?" the leopard flicked his tail while continually brushing the damp fur. Facing towards the lockers opposite of him, he paid no mind to Tivalae shifting in his seat.

Looking at his watch, Tivalae noted. "Nope my shift starts at 8 sharp. Its only 6:30 kitty."

Instantly, Tivalae regretted the words right when they left his lips. Fortunately Criu must have missed it because he continued talking as if the old dog never said anything.

"Well I think that these shifts, although placed in coordination with tribe and specie, should be fair. I mean my patrol is late, but I work here in the office until then. I have to explain to my boss at my second job that I can never go in early to help set up shop."

"You have a second job?"

"Yup I sure do. I work the early morning shifts to the afternoons at the fishery in the Isle. It's a far travel and I have to be wide awake going to and from Main Tribe, but it pays very decent money. I work as an officer there as well since my academy training could easily transfer. I love helping people in need so I always wanted to be a cop in order to do so."

"Hmph a wasted dream kid."

The locker slammed with great force and surprised him.

Criu turned to face Tivalae, but got a front row view of his 11 inch member. He took a moment to stare at it. It was like it was alive pulsing with what he knew to be blood. He could see every vein was twitching in anticipation or in pain from the earlier incident. It was only after he realized that he had been staring, that Criu looked at Tivalae. His eyes pieced into his being.

"What are you doing?"

He immediately turned towards his locker and fumbled with the lock for a minute. After opening the lock, he shoved most of his belongings in and reached for a bottle. A bottle that contained a few prescription pills his doctor had prescribed. Then it just hit him as he tried to put the pills away after popping two in his maw. Did he just...? Unknowingly, he dropped the whole container and spilt its contents without making a sound.

"Hmm well I guess I should head in before they ask me to do overtime. See ya later Tivalae." And the leopard quickly shuffled out of the locker rooms, hoping that his blush wasn't showing through his fur. His war hero called out to him but he ignored and practically ran to his car.

"Hey wait! Damn!" the dog grunted. Then as he walked towards the open locker he noticed a bottle. Bringing it up to see the label, he instantly shouted out to the cat, but he was long gone. "This medicine... Where did he get it?"

That night was full of nightmares of the past.

Present~~

For some reason, he grew attached to the leopard unknowingly and didn't realize it until this morning. This leopard would walk by and brush his tail alongside his thigh without even giving it a second though since then.

The rookie was definitely flirting with me. I shouldn't have ever taken that bet with the other furs. I swear now I have to deal with this fag chasing me around the damn office.

"Tivalae, are you alright?"

There stood a lioness of prowess and the big softie of the group in the office. She stood as tall as Tivalae, with the usual color in fur. She was a colleague and very dear friend to Tivalae at his family's funeral.

"Oh hi Cherrie. I didn't see you standing there."

She rolled her eyes. "I'd say. You almost ran me over hun. Is something bugging you, Alaei?"

His ears folded. "I'm this old and you still use that pet name Cherry?"

"Only as much as you do."

He let out a huge sigh and leaned back on the wall opposite of her. Maybe she can understand this. "Do you have time before my shift starts?"

"Doesn't it start in twenty minutes?"

"Yea but I really need someone to talk to."

"I'm sure I have time. Just let me put up these folders with evidence before you run me over." She smiled and was finished and back before he could blink three times.

"That still scares the daylights outta me."

"Well that's your problem, Alaei."

The two rolled their eyes, laughed, and walked outside to the cop car where Tivalae told her his troubles.
