#7 of The Lion King Old Stories of the Past

Sorry it took so long to post this I've been really busy lately with school, and planning on living with my girlfriend, No such luck with finding a place yet. Well here is chapter 7 of my series

Back in the Wastelands news has hit one more day until the wedding, "Ubazai get your tail in here!!" Baya shouted, Ubazai came running in with Viza hot on her heels, "Yes brother what is it?" "Get ready tomorrow is the day of the wedding and the day we wage war on the pride that destroyed our lives," "Yes sir, I'll be ready," "The Jackals will be waiting and watching you, they'll let you know when it's time," "So they'll be watching me the whole time just in case of?" "Yes, so you don't go running off on your own," "Viza cover your ears," Ubazai said, Viza did as she was told, "Baya...why the fuck would I run off, if I run off I'll be killed on sight not only by you and the Jackals but by the Pridelanders, and my being dead will make Viza more of an orphan, she already lost her mother she's not going to lose me!!" Baya was shocked Ubazai never spoke to him that way before, "You watch your tongue, when you talk to me," "Fine, but during the battle it's everyone for themselves no helping one another," Ubazai turned around and picked up Viza and walked to her den that Viza found for them both, "Sorry Viza," "It's okay mommy, when are you going to the battle, "Tomorrow night," "Where am I going to be?" "Here, I don't want you to see the battle that happens," Ubazai said softly, "If anything were to happen to you my dearest little bundle of fur, I don't know what I'd do," the two then began to slumber with Viza on top of Ubazai's neck and head, "Night Viza," she said, smiling, "Night Mommy," Ubazai smiled and slowly started to drift off to sleep, but before she did, one quick thought ran through her mind, 'What if I were to die during the battle? Who would care for Viza? She'll have no one,' Ubazai pushed the thought aside, 'I'll live through it she'll never be alone,' then her eyes closed. Ubazai opened her eyes a few hours later as she felt the weight of Viza on her neck and head was gone, she looked around and found her cuddled against her side, she smiled at the sight. Then she looked out and saw that it was night, but not the night of the battle. Ubazai stretched and rolled over hugging Viza. She then began talking to Viza softly, "My sweet Viza, you'll always be with me, and I will always be with you. Even if I'm gone from this world I want you to live on as my living legacy... heh You look just like I did when I was a cub," she smiled at the sleeping form that lay on top of her, "I love you my angel," she said curling her body around Viza, then resting her head next to hers closing her eyes for a peaceful sleep.

When morning came Zuri was pacing back and forth, she was giddier than ever, "Zuri relax the wedding is just hours away," Masa said, "But mom I can't I just can't wait, I haven't seen him in two days, it was hell not being able to wake up in the morning to see him," "I know sweetie, I was the same way with your father, don't worry the male always waits at the wedding spot, he'll be there until you show up tonight," Zuri sighed, but then smiled, "Thanks mom, but what am I suppose to do for the time being?" "Anything you want you can chat with the others you can play with the cubs, get used to the feeling of having some around you," "I think I'll do that thanks again mom, let me know when I can get ready," "Alright Zuri." Zuri then walked away and began playing with the cubs all of them laughing at play growling, Masa chuckled, but then she got an uncomfortable feeling run through her, she shivered a bit, then a familiar voice made her turn her head, "You alright dear?" it was Maana, "Yeah just have this feeling, that something bad is going to happen," "Trust me nothing is going to happen this is a special time for everyone especially your daughter." "I know but it's just a feeling that's all, I mean how many weddings do you know that were ruined by something bad?" Maana knew right off the bat what to say, "Just one, My grandfather died during My parents wedding," "Well it's just that one but there is always a chance that something else could happen, I know I shouldn't be thinking about that kind of thing," "Masa stop your freaking out," "I'm sorry Maana I'm going into the den," "Alright, I'll take a walk to the Water fall to see how the boy is doing."

Kishindo sat behind the Water fall of Arari, "Man I can't believe it, I'm nervous as hell, I can't even think straight," Kishindo then rested his head in his paws, just about to drift off to sleep until the Blue Moon rises. "Hey Kishindo you back here," Maana asked as he entered, "Yeah I'm right here," "You nervous?" "Yeah, I can barely feel my heart, I don't know if I'm ready," "Don't worry boy I felt the same way when Masa and I got married, it's a feeling that almost every male goes through," "Really then it's not just me," "Nope, now the time is almost here, it's just a few hours away, when the time is close I'll leave and get the pride gathered around here, and then you'll be seeing your mate, I trust you to the point of seeing you as my heir as taking my place as king." Maana smiled, "Would you like some time alone?" "Please sir," Maana nodded and headed out, "Thank you Maana," "Your welcome Kishindo," and with that Maana left.

Night was approaching rather quickly than expected, everyone was getting ready, the Pridelanders and the Wastelanders, Cheers from the Pridelanders and Roars, from the only two lions left in the Wastelands as well as the Jackals. Kishindo waited outside the Water fall, Zuri was grooming her fur, Masa was helping with the grooming using her paws to make her tail tuft look perfect. While in the Wastelands Baya was gathering the Jackals, but someone was missing but whom; "UBAZAI!!!" he shouted, Ubazai came walking in, "What?" she said annoyed, "Where the hell were you?" "Where do you think?" she asked rhetorically, "That little runt again?" Ubazai growled, "I may not see her again, we were saying good-bye," she said looking away from Baya. "She has made you soft, you are not the heartless sister I knew," "She may have softened my heart, but I'm still the Ubazai I was back then, and you don't know what I've been doing in secret with Viza, I've been training her to defend herself and to fight," Baya just chuckled, "She will never survive in a real fight," "Once she's older she will, now are you ready or not, I want this to be over with," Ubazai said hate in her voice. "Let's get going it's going to be one hell of a walk there and one hell of a fight," then they all left. But a little ways away Viza followed.

It was Night time by now; everyone was waiting by the Water fall except for the Wastelanders, they were still pretty far off away. Every now and then Ubazai turned her head to see who was following she couldn't help but feel that someone was following them. "What's wrong Ubazai?" a jackal asked, "Nothing I just can't shake the feeling that we're being watched," "Don't worry about it, it's just a feeling," "I guess you're right." At the Water fall the Pridelanders gathered up in two separate lines, waiting for the bride. Then out of the brush came Zuri being walked by both Masa and Maana. Zuri's fur shined when the moonlight hit her fur. Everyone was shocked at how beautiful she looked. They finally approached Kishindo and Zuri turned to face him and smiled, Ponya was standing in between them, "Good-evening everyone," she began, "We are all gathered here today to witness the joining of these two lions in holy matrimony," She turned to Kishindo, "Do you Kishindo of the Wastelands, take Zuri princess of the Pridelands as your one true lioness, to cherish and to hold, and protect with your last breath?" Kishindo stared right into Zuri's eyes, "I do," Ponya then turned to Zuri, "And do you Zuri, take Kishindo as your one true lion, to cherish and to hold, to protect with your last breath?" Zuri also stared straight back at Kishindo, "I do," she said smiling even wider. "I now pronounce you lion and lioness, you may kiss the bride," she said, both Zuri and Kishindo nuzzled each other, and kissed each other. Every one cheered, but then it was interrupted by a loud roar, everyone turned to see Baya standing on the hill top, smiling evilly, "You filthy Pridelanders you took away what was rightfully ours, you kicked us out, you all left us to starve, we will not stand for it anymore," he said, "Attack!! No Survivors," just as he said attack the entire Jackal pack came running down snarling. The Pridelanders turned and began attacking the intruders. Zuri and Kishindo stood close to each other, "Stay with me Zuri," Kishindo said, Zuri nodded, just then a jackal jumped at her, she ducked just in time. The jackal that had lunged at her jumped into the water, she turned and began to drown it. The jackal floated up dead, "Zuri get in the Water fall I'll try to come and get you," "No I'm not leaving you out here," she said to her mate, "Zuri I swore I'd protect you, and that's what I'm doing," Zuri looked at her lover and nodded, "Be careful," she said and nuzzled him, and then she went into the Water fall unnoticed.

Ubazai walked casually passed everyone to meet eye to eye with her younger brother. She then got to him without even getting a scratch, "Kishindo this is your final chance to surrender," "I won't surrender Ubazai," "Then you have brought this upon yourself," she raised her paw and struck Kishindo. Kishindo fell to the ground, Ubazai walked to him, "You have brought this upon yourself brother," she then hit him again. From a distance Viza was watching, and then her cub eyes spotted Ubazai. Kishindo got up and quickly struck Ubazai causing her to slide across the ground. Viza gasped, she has never seen anyone hurt her before, she wanted to go there to her and see if she was alright, but what would she say if she suddenly appeared, Viza didn't want her new mother to be mad at her, and abandon her like her biological mother did. So she just stayed. As the battle raged on both sides were just getting started, none were even the least bit tired. Maana and Masa fought side by side, they were pretty scratched up, but still fighting strong, "Maana I don't know how long I can fight, there's too many of them," "I know but we still got to try," just then Baya charged through, and hit Maana in the side causing the King to stumble, Baya just keep up his attacks on the king. Masa turned to see what had happened, Maana was being outmatched by this lion, big mistake on her part from taking her eyes off the oncoming jackal assault, a jackal jumped on Masa sinking its teeth into her shoulder she roared out in pain, but threw the jackal off of her into a tree, killing it on impact.

Viza was watching with excitement, she wanted a closer look but that would cause her to be in the middle of the fray, but if she were out of sight and not in the middle of it all, maybe be in a bush that was at least a front row seat. She slowly slid down the slope and started looking for a bush to hide in. once she did a body fell in front of her, she gasped at who it was, it was the king, and he was badly injured. Baya slowly walked up to the king, "Now King Maana it is your end," Baya grabbed Maana in his jaws and began to apply pressure, slowly crushing his windpipe, Baya then shook his head violently, then dropped the body, the king of the Pridelands was dead, "Now time for the Queen," he said as he made his way killing anyone that got in his way. Kishindo saw this in the quickest instant; he dodged one of Ubazai's attacks and knocked her to the ground. He charged at Baya, away from Masa. "Kishindo you traitor," Baya said getting up, "I know I'm a traitor, don't you see what you're doing, your destroying what was once our family, this pride you lived in it, just because what mother and father did," "You watch yourself boy," Baya threatened, "You don't scare me Baya, you may scare others but not me," "I'll make you eat those words," Baya lunged at Kishindo pinning him to the ground, "Your life ends here brother, you could've been great, if I would've died then you would've taken my place," "I never wanted this, this is what you wanted," just then Baya began applying pressure on Kishindo, crushing him beneath his weight. But then Kishindo felt the weight was lifted, Zuia the lioness that had given Ubazai the information had tackled Baya, but Zuai's victory was short lived, Baya quickly turned them around so he was on top, he grabbed her throat and tore it open. Baya turned to face Kishindo but was met with a big paw.

Ubazai got up slowly, her head throbbed, "Damn Kishindo," but when her eyes fell upon all that was dead, one especially caught her eye Zuia, "Looks like I won't be needing her assistance anymore," Ubazai then made her way to the wounded queen, "Well Queeny...Remember me?" she said smirking, Masa was confused, "Oh come on Masa, 'Oh please can you help me, I'm stuck in this tree I'm afraid of heights,' don't you remember that?" Ubazai said, Masa's eyes widened, "It's you...Ubazai? Why are you doing this?" "So I can live in peace, because of you and your mate, we've lived in the Wastelands for far too long, we've suffered there without a pride, only living with the jackals, after the death of mine, Baya's and Kishindo's parents, and now, you've brought this war upon yourself, all you could've done was give us a second chance, but now you've brought death to your family, your mate is dead, half your pride is near death, if you surrender I'll call off the onslaught...What do you say?" Ubazai asked, "We are a proud pride Ubazai, your parents never saw that, they thought that we did unjust things, we were fair, they wanted to be dictators, like you and your brother are," Masa said raising her voice. Ubazai growled, "You are saying that I'm doing the wrong thing, in my eyes, you're doing the wrong things, you never accepted us back," "Because, We knew of your plan, if you never had a plan then we would've accepted you back." But then Masa was hit to the side by Kishindo's body. "Kishindo? You okay?" she asked, Kishindo got up weakly; "Yeah I'm fine."

Baya towered over Kishindo and Masa, "Now Kishindo I'll enjoy killing you and your new family, and all right in front of your mates eyes," he said motioning his head to where Zuri was standing, Kishindo's eyes widened, "Zuri get out of here now, hurry," he said straining to stand. Baya then hit Kishindo back to the ground, then he tried again but was again struck down. Ubazai just stood and watched, for about 30 seconds of watching her brother's fight, and the older one killing her youngest brother, something snapped. Baya raised his paw ready for the final blow, but to his shock Ubazai stood in the way taking the blow. Ubazai still stood, "Enough you two!!" she shouted, Baya was outraged by Ubazai's outburst, He smacked her aside, but from her wounds she sustained she was in no shape to take another blow. But when Baya smacked her aside he knocked her into a rock causing a large wound on her head to open even more. "You killed your sister Kishindo," Baya said, Kishindo went wide eyed, he couldn't believe it, his older brother had done it, "You murdered her," Baya lied, trying to put all the blame on Kishindo moving closer, "You are no sibling of ours," he attacked Kishindo relentlessly. Zuri stood in on spot she didn't leave when Kishindo told her to leave, she couldn't leave her mate, she charged at Baya when his guard was lowered. She jumped onto his back, biting into his back, he roared out in pain, but then rolled causing Zuri to lose her grip. Baya got up and saw Zuri laying down on her back, "Ah Now I get to kill your mate, in front of your eyes," Baya began to reach for Zuri's neck, but was stopped, by Kishindo's clawed paw across his throat, Baya jolted back he couldn't breathe. "You bastard," Baya managed to say, "You've killed your entire family," Baya then fell, "Congrats, you'll end up being like us, and it seems all our family was meant to die." Baya then died the tyrant has finally died.
