They came into our world to make peace, and share the land. Our countries did not listen to them, because they are hybrid animals that look and act like humans (only with fur) and average about seven feet tall and speak english, they have razor sharp claws and teeth like animals. The Scientists calls them Anthromorphic creatures (Anthro's for short). The Anthro's tried to reason with the government, but that only made the government build walls around cities and towns to keep the Anthro's out of the town or city. The Anthro's started to build settlements and hunted for food around the walls, they started to grow in numbers until the government got involved and waged war. They were forced out of their settlement, and into cover from bullets. They never wanted it that way, they were forced to do the one thing they did not want to do; fight for their lives and to try and make peace. This is their story........
The bell rings, the school year is at an end and everyone is running to their lockers. The humans talking about what they were going to do over Summer, some are just in a hurry to get home and away from the over crowded halls. Since the war, schools were joined together to give the ever growing army a new place to train or sleep. The News was always broadcasting the latest news on how close the Anthro's were to the walls. Today they were a few kilometres from the west wall.
"Hey Zach, what are you doing during summer?" Said someone behind Zach. Zach turns around from his locker to see James. "Hi James, I have nothing planned so far. What about you?" James walks up to me from across the hall, he is average build and about six feet tall. he is the same height, and age as me (16), I have blond hair, he has dark brown hair. We have been friends for seven years now and James is famous for getting in trouble. He stops next to me and whispers as I dig through my locker for my stuff"I am going to go outside the wall tonight to camp in the woods, and I was wondering if you would like to join in?" said James. I turn to him half expecting him to start to laugh, but had a serious look. I whisper back "Are you serious? We can't go outside unless we are in the army, also how would we get out? The wall has no exit, just helicopters to leave and enter."
James smiles as he whispers "I dug a hole under the wall behind a set of tall bushes." I pack all my school items into my book bag, and start to walk down the hall with James beside me. "What if we run into the Anthro's, or the army?" James looks at me and says "For the Anthro's, bring a large knife and a bow and lots of arrows, and we hide from the army."
As we walk outside I say to James "Well if you say it is safe than I will go too, and I have wanted to be on the outside of the wall again, it has been ten years since we saw the forest last." James smiles and says "I knew you would agree, remember not to tell anyone about us going, just tell your mom you are spending the week with me, starting tonight, also pack your camera." James said. I ask "why do I need a camera?" I say as James got onto a bus he said "We want pictures of our trip, don't we?" The bus drove away, I start to walk home thinking about how this little camping trip will go.
I walk into my house as I hear my mother yell down the stairs "How was your last day at school?" I answer by yelling "Great mom, by the way i will be spending the week with James." She replies by yelling "ok, just stay out of trouble." I run to my room to pack my clothes and a sleeping bag; I dig in my closet to find my bow and a quiver of arrows, also a combat knife my dad got me for Christmas, and last but not least a flashlight. I pack all the stuff into a bag and carry the bow and arrows. I check outside my door and my mom is in her room with the door shut watching TV. So she wont hear the arrows rattling around. I walk out the door and start heading to James's house.
