A short story about what happened to me after the midnight release of Black Ops 2.

It was a little after midnight, I know because I was just at the midnight release of Black Ops 2. The ride through main street was quiet and hardly any vehicles were on the road. It was almost like a ghost town with lights.

Anyz, I made it to the local Wal-Mart and stood in line with other gamers. There were a few other girls beside me but it was alright, I guess. The line was a pure, excuse my language, clusterfuck. PS3 and 360 gamers were basically crowded in front of the service desk area just waiting for the release. Safe to say it didn't go well.

While I was waiting in line I was listening to Stillborn by Black Label Society. I had barely begun to jot down ideas in my notebook when the manager made things more complicated. He had the bright idea to form three lines. One for pre-orders, one for 360 and one for PS3. Good thing my friend Azza was there because I didn't know what was happening and she saved me a spot towards the front of the line.

So I go and stand in the pre-order line like a good girl and begin jotting down ideas in my notepad. Around 11:56 people were getting antsy awaiting the release of Black Ops 2. Then midnite came around.

Most of the preorder people were complaining because the other lines were going through faster, note these are college guys I'm talking about. The reason because our line took forever is because some of the employees didn't know how to do the pre-order card business.

So after I got my own little copy, me and Azza left. Back down main, I drop off Azza at her apartment before I departed for home. Now I live on the outskirts of town so I have to take the backroads. So there I am driving down the road, all alone when all of a sudden my eyes catch someone walking on the side of the road. It had snowed a few days before and I wondered who in their right mind would be walking way out here.

I drive by and the person stops and looks up. In the rearview mirror I see that they are wearing a a green plain hoodie. I think nothing of it until I got to the face. I swear to god this person had no face. Sure it was dark but there was no face. And this was a few miles from where I live. Right then and there, I light up a cigarette because all natives know there is medicine in tobacco.

So as I puff away and look back in the rear-view mirror I see that the figure is gone. In case you're wondering, I had to drive slow because of black ice and because there are deer that migrate out my way. Safe to say it scared me because this is the first time I've ever seen something like this in Montana and it wasn't too far from my house.
